Great place for live music in Houston! Newly renovated and new ownership. Good cocktails and huge open dog friendly patio. Glad to see Dan Electro’s back and better than ever.

This place doesn't look like much from the road, and to be truthful there's not much on the inside. Place is a dive, but it has a super friendly vibe and it's clean. There's a great local beer selection, and knowledgeable bartenders. We went on a Thursday, and the house band was incredible. This place is low key but a very good time.

Wow! This place got a total makeover! Well done! It looks amazing. The staff is great. I met the new manager (Charlie) last night and he was super friendly and explained all of the updates. And the music was fantastic. Can’t wait to go back.

Guitar bar! I saw live local music here with no cover on a Thursday night. Reasonably priced cocktails, cool decor, and friendly bartenders. Not too big, the vibe is intimate. Large outdoor area with lovely foliage - you can tell someone enjoys caring for the plants. There's cornhole, small upper balcony, a Cajun food truck, and a big box of chalk if you're feeling artistic.

Aneighbourhood bar and venue. Laid back vibe. Local and touring acts. Quality cocktails and craft beers. A calendar full-of bands for low or no cover pool, jukebox, and a patio ample parking Events e.g. second Sunday art market( one of the best.) Revisited first time since March lock down . The safety protocols are in place distancing limited capacity in and out there is food. This neighbourhood venue is up and running and still a first choice

We went on singer/songwriter night and listened to Alma Russ play. They only have food trucks there certian nights of the week. But they allowed us to bring outside food in. They were super responsive to the fb messages with questions and the bard tender and the locals were very warm and inviting. 100% recommend if you are looking for a chill spot in the Houston area for some good music!

So perfect in every possible way - It would be a cliché to call this place a hidden gem, and that would belie the multitude of regulars that have come to make this place what it is, the best incarnation of what a local bar could aspire to - a place that is of the community and it's culture, and yet with an identity and culture all it's own. Even before entering, the muffled, plaintive wail of electric blues beckons from inside through the door, and once entered the scene immediately strikes one as perfectly apropos, from the understated gritty aesthetic to the very layout of the building, all of which seem to show reverential deference to the music. We sat down and John & Chris tended bar with practiced ease while delivering the kind of clever humor that has you laughing even after you leave. We're that all, this place would easily be a favorite, but then, like finding out that the road you accidentally took is actually the most amazing shortcut - the food was the BEST STEAK & LAMB I have ever had. This magician named Bryan Hawes does with meat what Vermeer did with oils - not good for a bar, but good for a Michellin star restaurant; - good enough that you could take someone here who hates music and doesn't drink just to eat (But don't take those kind of people here, and why would you want to hang out with someone like that anyway?) Our server Lucy made us feel like regular VIPs, and after eating and enjoying the music an expansive patio offers an environment so casual and unpretentious that it almost feels like you are just hanging out with friends in the back yard. It was one of the best experiences I've had in Houston, and one of the best places I've found anywhere. Thank you sincerely to all the staff at Dan Electro's for this one of a kind gem.

Horrible soundman. Mics feeding back, way over loud for the small room. Jukebox music overwhelming, 15 min to sound check a snare drum?!? My earplugs were barely adequate. Love the old and current venue, loved playing here in the past, but tonight's soundman for free county music with WillowsBBQ steak night ruined it, for everyone. Hoping the soundman (in photo) will get a clue, but not holding breath.

Had a Blast at the new, improved Dan Electro's last night and it's better than ever. The drinks were TASTY, the bartenders were warm and friendly, and the drag show was top notch. We truly hope you will continue to have drag.

How have I not been here having lived here for so long. Worth the drive in from Katy. The new owners are just simply great. They're putting their own blood sweat and tears in bringing this back to life, making great decisions and keeping it eclectic. This is a must experience for any music lover! Get there...

Great intimate venue with fantastic sound. Caught a show last night with 3 metal bands, and had a blast. The atmosphere is divey and comfortable. Cover was only $6 too, which is a great deal. The back patio of the place is large, and has a small stage though I don't think they use it much. They had a sausage vendor back there selling delicious and cheap homemade sausages. It's a nice touch and very useful after rocking out for hours.

great drinks, great food, great vibes! The steak was a little pricey ($35). The drinks were reasonably priced ($6-8 for 2 vodka cranberries) and the vodka shot was really big hahaha. I would come back!

Great place to see live music...small intimate venue and having the courtyard outside is an awesome plus! The only knock for me was that they didn't have Guiness but other than that a huge thumbs up!

Great spot! Drinks are good, and reasonably priced! Great band, we saw the Monica's. Those guys put on a great show and have such good energy! Had burgers on the patio by a dude grilling them up fresh! FANTASTIC burger! And I wasn't when drunk!

Really good time listening to the live music and catching up with some friends. Not to be a Karen but the bartender was extremely rude, to the point where I didn’t want to go up to order drinks anymore. Hope we don’t have to see them in the future. Otherwise, great spot!

This place is so cool. The stage is great, Audra and Scott are super nice, the beer selection was great, and I met some other terrific people. Played a set here - Pete Henry 11/30 - can't wait to do it again.
