I am visiting my mom this week from Colorado and this was on her list of places to take me. WOW!!! I have been back 3 times in the last 4 days and will be back tomorrow. The different combinations of ingredients in the tacos is so masterful. The cauliflower taco is the best taco I’ve ever had, hands down. The sauce for the red velvet cake is also amazing. Phenomenal food at a phenomenal price. Also, the employees are so kind and helpful. You can tell this restaurant was made with care. Thank you for a great experience!

This was my first time having a Velvet taco. I chose one grilled salmon taco and one roasted chicken taco. The seasonings are wonderful and the salmon and chicken are delicious. The trimmings of fresh chili's and corn are nice. Presentation is nice. What I didn't like was the funky, off-putting smell (like stale beer at a bar) that hits you when you enter the shop, as well as the tables. Yuck Service up front, when ordering was friendly, other employees were snooty.

Have been to a lot of the Velvet Taco locations and this one is always good!! Same experience. Great vibe, great food! You can really taste the quality of ingredients. Maybe tad bit pricey, but worth it! Hubby and I eat too much tacos, we’re about to turn into one!!!! 🤣

The velvet taco is so yummy! I tried the shrimp & grits taco, the elote with chips, margarita, and red velvet cake! Everything was delicious! The environment of the restaurant is really fun, too! This Velvet Taco is a 2 story restaurant with outdoor seating. It makes for the perfect casual hang out or dinner spot. The pricing is very affordable. I definitely recommend giving this place a try, if you haven’t already! Follow me on Instagram/Facebook @sc_crew_family

Such an amazing experience here. I was welcomed with friendly smiles and a quick over view of the menu. I went with the shrimp and grits taco and rotisserie chicken which were both flavorful and delicious. Their margaritas pack a punch so one was all I needed. The outdoor balcony was clean and spacious. Will definitely visit again in the near future. (Actually I went back the next day but who’s counting 😄)

Service was fast, I belief a girl was managing tonight and she did awesome. Service was friendly and food came out fast we ordered 6 tacos and one elote, 2 margaritas and it was as in a timely manner. Food was delicious! Also kitchen tonight (11:27pm ) looked productive. I’ve come before where men are managing the restaurant and it’s chaotic and food takes forever to be ready. Overall amazing !

I’ve been to velvet taco several times 4/5. Let’s start with the margarita 10/10. Margaritas aren’t for the weak lol. Their tasty and you will be sitting there for a moment but their tasty. As far as tacos I’ve tried the Kobe burger taco 9/10. Buffalo chicken taco (if you wanna play it safe), Mexican shrimp taco (had a little spicy and absolutely loved it), and I had the salmon taco (first time I’ve ever been to a restaurant that wasn’t afraid to season their salmon). I would recommend. typically I order two tacos and a drink.

Update: came back a week later. Same person was working the register and she still remember my fiancé and her mom, BY NAME! I’ve been to some high end restaurants and have never had that happen. Talk about feeling cared about as a customer. Amazing. I cannot say enough nice things about this place. You can taste every ingredient, reasonably priced, and extremely flavorful! The lady at checkout was amazing. She was happy, kind, and outgoing. Even so much so, she remembered my fiancés name on the way out. Someone that actually cares. If she is not the owner, give her a raise! Best tacos. We got 8 unique ones, all better than the last.

I've heard about this place before and wanted to try it. Met my girl and her family here. Good service, Delicious food, Strong margaritas. The only thing though that stands out to me being a con; if multiple ppl order at once. Let's say Adams orders 3 different tacos, DeMarkese orders 3 different tacos, and I order 3 different tacos. They're served all bundled together and not marked what tacos are what. But other then that. Don't have a problem here. Definitely in time will be back.

Nice location, had four tacos from each category (beef, chicken, pork, fish). Each taco was delicious to where the flavor is still dancing on my tongue. Service was great and quick with orders. Would love to come here again, or maybe just make a new location in Memphis 😅

5 out of 5 for sure. The Cauliflower taco and the Queso dip.....my goodness. They were full of such flavor! I was actually shocked at how delicious everything was. The slight crisp in the taco and the bold flavors in the queso......I'm craving them!

I’ve been to different locations multiple times and never had issues until today. Bought $40+ worth of food including 3 slices of cake. Then l redeemed points for a slice and tried to get the “ birthday week” slice but couldn’t because they didn’t have enough made at 12 in the afternoon. So instead of getting the free slice while its actually my birthday week now I lose out on the points and only get the one slice. In addition to that the chicken pot pie taco had big bone in it that wasn’t noticed until my girlfriend bit into it. Had that been our 6 year old who knows what could have happened. While we do enjoy the food here, this was not a good experience to say the least.

Michael helped us with our order and he did a wonderful job. He was very kind and nice. We appreciate the great customer service he showed. He made the stop worth it for us and made our day. The taco we ordered was also very good. We 100 percent recommend it.

Loved the food here! Excellent customer service too. I liked the chicken & waffle, mexi-cali shrimp and picnic chicken. The spicy tikka chicken was okay and I didn’t really like #11.5. Highly recommend the brisket nachos!

Order-first, open kitchen/prep concept. The menu descriptions make you want to try one of everything. Especially if you’ve come with hunger pains. Tried #11 Grilled flank steak, #11.5 Chimichurri steak, and #12 Slow-roasted angus brisket. Wife and I put those down like they were bite-sized. These tacos are not bite-sized by any means. Healthy-sized with decent amount of meat and plethora of toppings. Ordered one plain #10 Kobe Smash Burger for the kiddo. She smashed two of those!!! Will return as there are chicken and pork items that are must-tries.

Velvet Taco is a fantastic spot for delicious food at a reasonable price. It's the kind of place that feels like a special treat, making it perfect for occasional indulgence. The brisket taco and flank steak options are absolute standouts, offering a delightful combination of flavors and textures. Whether you're a taco aficionado or just looking for a satisfying meal, Velvet Taco is a must-try.

I wanted something to eat and it was really late. I came across Velvet Taco and decided to try them out. Was not disappointed! Customer service was exceptional. I made my selections and enjoyed a Kickass Margarita. The atmosphere and vibe was chill. It had rained earlier so the cool breeze felt great sitting on the upper level patio deck. I woke up the next morning saying, "I'm going back there today!"

Velvet tacos are probably one of the best tacos I’ve ever had in my life. the staff are very friendly and very nice especially because we came in at 2 AM in the morning another perk is there open late like I said. You definitely have to try the chipotle pull pork taco

I ordered the buffalo chicken and chimichurri tacos. The food was absolutely delicious. I was a little disappointed that the chicken was like one big chicken tender inside a tortilla versus it being cut up into pieces. Regardless, the food was amazing, the service was great and the atmosphere was inviting. Presentation for the food (to-go container) was a fun little touch, too and made it easier to eat on the run. I would definitely return!

I ordered some chips and guacamole along with a 14.5 shrimp taco and a 1 buffalo chicken taco. Really enjoyed the shrimp taco and forgot I’m not into the buffalo wings flavor, though it was OK. My daughter got the tofu and paneer tacos and liked them. Service was great. One of the counter guys checked in with us during the middle of our meal to see if all was OK. Parking was convenient. I would go back again.

These are definitely two handed tacos! This was my first time at the Montrose location and they did not disappoint. Staff was great, food was even better. Carlton was very pleasant. Salmon tacos had a real punch, while the curry queso had a lil kick. Shrimp n grits tacos are always a favorite of mine. This place seems to get very busy around noon, mostly for takeout.

Tacos were really inventive, hot and delicious. We ordered at the counter and they called our name things were shortly done. I was really surprised by how much I enjoyed the tater tots appetizer, which was super delicious and I loved the goat cheese. That will definitely be something I’m reordering. I LOVED the shrimp and grits taco!! And the tikka masala was really inventive and yummy.
