La
Tapatia
is
one
of
those
places
for
which
every
Houstonian
has
a
story.
This
location
has
been
here
for
years
and
I
used
to
come
here
as
an
undergrad
student
for
their
late
nights
eats
and
great
happy
hours.
This
was
my
first
time
back
after
the
pandemic
shut
everything
down
and
they
definitely
delivered!
Everything
tastes
like
I
remember.
Both
the
red
and
green
salsas
are
spicy
served
with
hot
and
salty
tortilla
chips.
We
got
the
mixed
fajitas
and
ordered
them
medium
rare,
but
they
were
more
like
medium
well.
They
didn’t
come
out
sizzling
either
and
seemed
like
they
had
been
waiting
under
a
heating
lamp.
It
was
great
to
be
served
our
meal
so
quickly,
but
I
wish
they
had
taken
the
time
to
prepare
them
medium
rare
instead
of
getting
our
food
with
our
margaritas.
My
margarita,
The
Ultimate,
was
salty,
but
my
wife’s
margarita,
(the
one
below
The
Ultimate
on
the
drink
menu)
was
less
salty.
They
come
in
huge
glasses,
but
there
are
no
prices
listed
on
the
drink
menu
—
just
a
heads
up.
The
patio
is
a
highlight
because
they
have
both
heating
lamps
and
fans
for
all
seasons
and
weather.
The
parking
lot
is
challenging,
but
if
you
can
maneuver
it
you’ll
have
a
great
time
on
the
patio
or
indoors.
The
service
is
great,
the
food
comes
out
quick,
and
it
tastes
like
you
remember.
Sometimes
that’s
all
you
want.
