This
is
an
average
Chinese
takeout
place.
Before
giving
some
useful
detail,
I
feel
the
need
to
respond
to
a
subset
of
the
critical
reviews
(and
I'm
sorry
for
mansplaining
Chinese
takeout
in
the
process):
if
you're
not
looking
for
Chinese
takeout
then
this
place
is
not
right
for
you
and
neither
are
ANY
of
the
countless
other
Chinese
takeout
establishments
in
the
area.
A
good
takeout
place
should
not
be
expected
to
(and
does
not
need
to)
provide
an
amazing
dine-in
experience,
and
it
is
not
designed
to
be
haute
cuisine.
We're
talking
Chinese
flavors
adapted
to
American
tastes
(i.e.,
greasy,
fatty,
and
salty).
With
that
out
of
the
way,
here
are
some
details.
Based
on
what
we
ordered
and
other
previous
reviewer
comments,
it
seems
like
your
food
experience
is
highly
dependent
on
the
items
you
select.
From
our
spread,
the
beef
broccoli
and
General
Tso's
was
really
good
and
the
house
lo
mein
was
pretry
good
(i.e.
standard).
The
Kung
pao
chicken
was
not
good.
It
was
a
little
bland,
and
I
didnt
like
the
style
of
using
fresh
jalapeños
in
place
of
the
usual
dried
chilies
but
it
was
better
the
next
day.
The
egg
rolls
were
bad:
mushy
and
far
more
bland
than
most
others
I've
had
(but
that's
what
duck
sauce
is
for!).
If
you
care
about
what
the
base
fried
rice
or
steamed
rice
tastes
like,
this
review
will
not
be
helpful
for
you
because:
who
cares!?
It's
the
vehicle
for
all
the
sauces
that
your
entrees
are
smothered
in!
If
you
read
this
far,
you
are
a
champion.
