Home base for the Official Manchester City Supporters Club of Houston. British Isles pub vibe is always on point for the EPL games. I can’t speak for all other sports but football (soccer) is heavily featured on all screens with sound. Food is a notch above “sports bar” fare, with the sriracha pulled pork a favourite of mine. The owner Vu is extremely accommodating, even opening at ridiculous hours for early games. It can get extremely busy for the big games, but let’s be honest, that’s what adds to the atmosphere.

This is my go-to pub for watching sports and eating wings! It’s got a pub feel and a wonderful staff who are always attentive and checking on you. They have plenty of indoor seating, and a large patio for those wishing to dine outdoors. PRO TIP: Tuesday’s are half off wings and they are certainly worth the trip! Order them with either the traditional Buffalo sauce, or the dry Cajun rub. Thank me later!

**A new editing: visited the Phoenix last Sunday, it was bad and disappointing . The burger and fish & chips were not fresh, to say the least. A Hidden Gem in the heart of Montrose💎 I was thinking that I'm about to meet an ordinary Pub, with an entire menu contains only fried food, including the beer itself. But found an amazing place, with a good restaurant's kitchen. Fresh ingredients, great size of dishes, and good service.

This is a hidden gem for all sports fanatics!!! They open early to play international games. I stopped by to watch the Wimbledon final a couple of days ago, but I’ve been here before for the World Cup and happy hour.

Great pub! Really nice outdoor area and cozy inside. The menu has something for everyone including vegetarians and fur babies! We had fish and chips which were very good. Extensive beer selection and full bar. Friendly people and a great atmosphere. Highly recommend!

Had a fantastic time watching the World Cup game France-England! Lost my headphones in all the excitement, but the folks of the Phoenix recovered them and kept them for me, which I appreciated a lot. Next time you want to watch a sports game on a terrace with good food and great atmosphere, the Phoenix has you covered!

I’ve been eating here twice a day for the past week since my car will be in the shop for about a month. I’m also fostering a teeny tiny puppy for a bottom of the week and have brought him in every single time I go in and the bartenders have all been so nice and it’s never a problem. I go in and I pay for my food and I leave, it’s not like I hang out there or let the puppy even touch the ground. Tonight when I went in the bartender told me that I couldn’t bring a dog in, which is fine I get it, but he wouldn’t stop lecturing me about it, which is what really annoyed me and he actually made me lose my appetite. I don’t care about his rules or someone else’s rules and regulations, you can just tell me once that I can’t bring the puppy in. From now on when I order my food ahead, I will tell them they can bring it outside to me because I’m not going to leave the puppy at home when I have to walk him anyways. This guy is so rude.

Came by on Monday to watch the Astro’s and had their ‘daily special’ of grilled chicken breast with cilantro rice and snow peas. The chicken was moist a d deliciously seasoned, rice paired perfectly and the snow peas were fresh, not over cooked and seasoned perfectly. All this for $8.00 and the portion was big. Let me repeat, A Gourmet meal for $8.00…and the suggested cider for $4.00! Can’t beat The Ph

Pleasant restaurant bar with plenty of screens and great service. They have their own parking next to and behing the building but it is quite limited so it might be full. Big outdoor sitting area. Dogs allowed.

One of the best spots in town! I have been there many times! -There are limited parking spots for the bar, but there are plenty of off street parking in the neighborhood. -The place is nice, clean, organized with an excellent British vibe. -The bartenders are nice, friendly and attentive. -They have a big menu for drinks and food. The food is really good with a higher quality than expected. -Items were reasonable priced compared to the quality and quantity. Definitely recommend!

Great environment to watch the World Cup while grabbing a beer and even getting some food. The impossible burger was great with all those grilled vegetables and the side fries were even better. The service was really nice and fast with the orderings.

Great place to watch games, drink beer and eat. TV’s outside to and all inside and around the bar. Service was great and food wasn’t bad. I’ll be going back for sure!

Get the chicken pub pie you will not be disappointed!! The veggies were perfectly cooked and not mushy like most pot pies are. The portions you get for the price are fantastic as well. Not sure what kind of sorcery is going on in the kitchen but this place this the definition of don’t judge a book by its cover. From the outside alone you’d think it’s just another old pub to just get a quick beer but no, this place is a hidden gem.

Dear owner, I don't know you, but I hope this helps you. Dear prospective diner, Dont come here for food! The fish and chips are disgusting (dispite the picture on the Google page). Taking a bite of the "fish" was like taking a bite into a loaf of bread, then you finally get to the buried fish and it taste like dried out nothingness and all your left with is greasy fingers. 😝 Gross. The burger was raw in the middle and the nachos were just sad. The saddest plate of nachos I've ever had. Chips tasted stale and the cheese was cold. How do you mess up nachos? I threw 90% of the food away and had to consume a Coke to prevent myself from throwing up. The best tasting item I had was the tartar sauce.

Usually has some fun event happening. Wing cook-off, super bowl watch party, fund raiser for many charities, crawfish boils.

Service is always great, food quality has went down in the past few years. Specials are well priced. Chicken fried chicken used to be a favorite of my son and I. In the past it was juicy, crispy and well seasoned inside. Past few times we've went it's been dry, tough, and really oily breading. Doesn't taste nearly as good. But definitely a good place to watch the games or get good service.

We had the chicken quesadilla, chicken pub pie, and fish & chips. Typical pub fare and a fun atmosphere for watching a soccer game.

Fish and chips, chicken pot pie, tots...so good. Service is always good as well. Never had an issue. Great daily specials and plenty of parking. You can also used the QR code to order and pay individually so good for large groups without having to split the check. Good for casual nights.

Food is served cold. Waitresses are rude. Bartender was giving us the side eye.

We went on a early saturday afternoon so I cannot speak on the after hour mood, but the daytime is a laid back type being good for a low key sports bar type atmosphere. Service was prompt and courteous. Food on the other hand was a let down.

I visited The Phoenix for an event and it was a nice spot! They had a lot of options for beer on tap and other drinks as well. They even set up beer flights for our event! There is indoor and outdoor seating - the porch looked really nice, would love to sit out there next time. Indoors, it has a pretty typical brewery/bar atmosphere, but wasn't too loud. I didn't try any food myself, but they had a more extensive menu than I expected. Someone sitting next to me ordered a few of their desserts that looked and smelled AMAZING.

Literally one of the best pubs in the area, and the food is over-the-top. If you're a local, you know that their bread pudding is not on the menu, but they will whip up a great dish if you ask nicely. The owner is a great person as well and on any given day, you can see him taking care of his clients on any aspect of service that might be needed.

We've gone twice now for the basketball games along with the admirable amount of vegan friendly options (can definitely recommend the vegan pasta and vegan chicken lettuce wrap, though the second NEEDS Sriracha). All good so far, and they have a nicely diverse beer/liquor menu. Lively atmosphere that hasn't gotten too much, and the outside patio is also a great choice.

They have a new wing sauce that Thomas recommended, siracha dry rub!!!! Life changing. He is now my Houston wing dealer 🤣 I'm hooked

This is the definition of SPORTS BAR! They have every game on the screen and it makes viewing quite simple and make sure to check out thier specials everyday. I went on Wednesday and they have $8 chicken fried chicken and it was great!! Plus, $4 Stella was a win win this place is relaxing and great for any type of gathering. Go try it out!

Always spot on service. Scrumptious food that’s beyond what you would expect for “bar food”. They’ve got their dishes down. Amazing beer selection. Why go anywhere else? Especially for sports!
