My oldest daughter had picked out this restaurant on tonight for us to go visit. We decided to stop in and see if we liked it like she does. She, I, and my younger daughter went and we all had a blast. The food portions was wonderful and well worth your money. The food tasted great and we all left with smiles. The service from the time we walked in to the time we left was phenomenal. My daughter goes there so often that she knew the manager and practically all the workers. No wonder she is steadily gaining weight. Jeeze!! I must say she was definitely right about her selection and picking House of pies. The food again I say it was so so delicious. I Will go back with the hubby and maybe my mom or siblings. Who knows?? Boy this is the place to go if you're a local or visiting go check out house of pies.

Food was awesome and came out quickly. Service was quiet but attentive and kind. Can't go wrong with tasty diner food and dessert. The chicken pot pie was hearty and filling. My wife loved their tuna melt. Both meals had good portions for the price imo. The pies we wonderful, big slices that were delicious. We had the banana cream and French silk, I recommend them if you get the chance. I hope to come again to try the others. Came back again and it's still as good as before. The chicken salad sandwich was tasty and filling. Tried the coconut custard and the lemon meringue pie and they were fantastic.

I've eaten at House of Pies in LA a number of times but this was my first time eating at the one in Houston. It was good enough we ate here both mornings we were in town. I had the sausage scrambler and key lime pie on the first morning. The sausage scrambler was great and I did it again the next morning. I normally love key lime pies but didn't care for this one, it had a texture more like lemon icebox pie than a typical key lime pie. The second day I had the strawberry cheesecake and it was incredible 😁. The service was great both days.

This place never disappoints. We have been coming here for years and whenever we have family visit we make sure we bring them to enjoy this tasteful experience. If pie is what you are looking for, this is the place. The food is good as well, but the desserts, for me, is their staple food. I love that they have expanded and opened more locations around Houston. Could we get one in Northeast Houston? Please!!!

Everything we ordered was fresh, made from scratch, and absolutely delicious! The biscuits and gravy were perfectly baked and piping hot. I ordered the waffle platter and was not disappointed. The waffle was perfectly cooked and just the right amount of fluffy. The egg whites, cheese, and avocado were cooked just right and delicious. My partner ordered the Texan Omelet with hash browns and was absolutely satisfied. He said everything was cooked just right and loved the abundance of jalapeños. We ordered strawberry rhubarb and buttermilk pie to go and ended up finishing them in the restaurant. Everything was absolutely delicious! This restaurant does not disappoint and definitely worth a try.

Came here after dinner one night just to have some late dessert. We ordered bayou goo and lemon meringue pie. The bayou goo is the house special and what I'd recommend any first timer try provided you aren't allergic to nuts. The lemon meringue pie was tart, but not too tart! The meringue was really well made. Service was quick and friendly. Our pie slices collectively cost about $10, which is pretty okay considering how large the slices were.

Great lil café downtown. Known for their pies (hence the name). I never knew about bayou goo pie before this place until now and very Delicious. Good service, great food. Definitely a place I would like to visit again and try more selections on pie. Also they have more then just pie 🥧 if you were curious. Tuna melts, club sandwiches 🥪. Just in case pie is not your thing.

2 is for the semi acceptable pie....crust was the best thing about it. I used to love this place...sadly, after Covid...it has changed like lots of other restaurants. We had 3 shakes...1 pie shake and 2 chocolate. The server seemed disgusted with our order. Shakes had probably 1/2 scoop of ice cream (seriously) tons of whip cream. Looked lovely, but never tasted ice cream.

Stopped by for breakfast and tried their recommend eggs-adilla (quesadilla w eggs). Friendly service and welcoming atmosphere. Inside reminded me of an old fashioned breakfast dinner. Pies per slice is about ~ $4 - $5 and there is a grand selection from savory to sweet. Tried their lemon meringue, Dutch apple, French silken (chocolate mousse), and coconut creme pies. All very delicious and it was hard to choose a favorite. Looking forward to stopping by again for some sweets the next time we’re in town!

They're not kidding when they say "slice made in heaven".. not only is the pie magnificent (I had the chocolate cream+mousse), but the food, service, and atmosphere is incredible. Food was fresh and tasty, seasoned very well. My fries were crunchy on outside soft on inside, and my fiances hash browns had cheese not only on top, but in the center too which was VERY appreciated!! This will be our new regular spot, 12/10.

First time visit, loved the vintage ambiance and can tell it had lots of history to it. Came just for some pie with friends on a late evening night, prices were fair but didn’t seem to have much of a wow factor for me but did appreciate the crust on the pies, they had a nice flaky & buttery taste to them. May come back to try other options. French Silk Pie was the one that really stood out. (Also tired the Banana Cream Pie and Cheesecake)

House of Pies is a slice of heaven for dessert enthusiasts, and my recent visit was nothing short of spectacular. The pie and ice cream combo is a match made in confectionery bliss, and the standout for me was the strawberry rhubarb. The marriage of sweet strawberries and tangy rhubarb encased in a perfect pie crust was a symphony for the taste buds. But House of Pies is not just about desserts. Their grilled chicken meal is a hidden gem on the menu. The perfectly cooked chicken, accompanied by flavorful sides, showcases a commitment to culinary excellence that extends beyond the sweet realm. A special mention to Beatriz, our server, whose outstanding customer service added an extra layer of enjoyment to the dining experience. Her attentiveness and friendly demeanor made the visit not just delicious but also incredibly delightful. And let's not forget the cream pies at House of Pies. Each bite is a journey into creamy indulgence, with flavors that range from classic to inventive. It's a testament to the pastry expertise that defines this establishment. In summary, House of Pies is a haven for those seeking the perfect marriage of pie and ice cream. From the exceptional strawberry rhubarb pie to savory delights like the grilled chicken meal, there's something for every palate. Add in the impeccable service from servers like Beatriz and the temptation of cream pies, and you have a winning formula that keeps patrons coming back for more. House of Pies, you've officially become my go-to destination for delightful desserts and beyond.

Sahra was our server and she was terrible. Her greeting to us was “ready to order” before we even had a chance to open our menus. My husband asked about hot tea and she walked away to ask someone else about them. When she came back to take our drink orders she walked off without even asking our 6yr old for what he would like. She brought our food and before we could even take a bite she was already dropping off the check… we wanted to order pie. It’s the main reason we even came here. My strawberry French toast was not good. Every single strawberry tasted like uncooked onions. My husband wanted more hot tea but due to our servers poor temperament he decided to just sip his water. Our server didn’t ask once how our meal was aside from when she dropped her check 5 seconds in. She instead stood behind the counter and scowled at us and others. Occasionally walking away to tend to other duties. When she found out we wanted to order pie she rolled her eyes like it was a personal inconvenience to her. I’m so disappointed. Based on reviews I had such high hopes for this. But also how can a server be a server if they’re so comfortable treating others like mere inconveniences.

Classic diner style restaurant with a variety of breakfast, lunch, and dinner options, as well as a kids menu. The coffee is fairly light, so if you like strong coffee, this one isn't for you, but the food is very good and the staff is really friendly.

Not impressed with the food. The pie pastry was so hard and thick. Since this shop specializes in pie, expected food quality pie but it was honestly disappointing.

Really nice the staff was nice our waiter was a little strange not much for talking she just kinda stood there until we said what we wanted. The food was good didn't have any ketchup for our hash brown.

This is place is great! Chairs are too close with each other. However, staff are friendly and nice. It's a pie place, you have to tip staff for atleast 3.95 per person as per their sign! As many maybe people will just hang out there. I ordered banana split it was pretty good. I also bought 3 different kinds of pies which cost usd15 which is a decent price for a good pie. I will highly recommend this place. I hope they will redecorate the area and improve the ambiance but other than that, I cannot complain!!

If you want a slice of pie (actually no matter in what state you are) this is the place to devour one! Soo many options and if I would live in Houston I would make sure to have a top three and try them all! They were perfect, just as you would imagine a delicious pie! Really nice service, the lady at the entrance helped us choose just two options! Get the fruit pie warm, as advised, it was even better if I can even say that!

This was our first visit, it was fairly okay, won't be returning. The food was hot and the service was good. I had a piece of Turtle Cheese cake, it was good. My chicken fried chicken was salty and fried too hard. Glad I finally had a chance to visit.

Completely fantastic!! If you like pie, you will absolutely love this place. If you don’t like pie, this place will change your mind. They also have an extensive menu for breakfast, lunch and dinner. I’m happy to say that breakfast is always available, no matter what time it is! I ordered the chicken tacos. They had a really great taste, full of flavor. The sauce that they use on these tacos is very spicy to the point of making my mouth and lips burn, so if you don’t like spicy food, order this dish without the sauce. I enjoyed my meal, but next time I will skip the sauce. I ordered a slice of chocolate cream pie to go, because how can you go to the House of Pies without getting pie??

House of Pies was great! It was our first time there and we Went on a Sunday morning, but didn’t wait at all. Our waitress wasn’t very talkative, but she took our order and the service getting our food was fast and delicious. I Tried there Peach Pie & Butter pecan cake. Both were AMAZING DELICIOUS!! Definitely going back when we’re in Houston, Tx
