Let me start by saying Angel is literally an Angel and Juan, the kitchen Manager is THE ABSOLUTE SWEETEST! We decided to have our very small & intimate wedding there and everything went perfectly!! The food was better than I remembered. The service was outstanding and the ambiance was perfect. My now husband and family were surprised when I decided to pick this establishment for the wedding, but there were no regrets whats so ever. The weather was PERFECT for patio seating and even with small kids, they were able to just run around a little and enjoy themselves. I wish I got pics of the food but I was gone too fast. I would recommend Red Lion to everyone who wants good food with an amazing experience, regardless of the occasion!! I can't wait to go back again!!

I must say that the fish and chips I had at the Red Lion may be the best I've ever had. Including places I've eaten it in London. Be aware that these portion sizes are truly enormous. A half size portion is more than enough for any one person.

I just love the ambiance of this cozy little spot, and the food is delicious! Today I indulged a bit more and tried a specialty drink: The Old Smokey in Apple Fashion. I was NOT disappointed! From the table side presentation to the apple twist to this flavorful classic, this cocktail was divine! It's just sweet enough and still maintains its boozy integrity! The extra smokiness of the cinnamon perfectly completes this lovely libation! I will definitely be ordering this again! I came for the vegetable curry (delicious) but stayed for the Old Fashion! I wish I could upload the video of the presentation, but order one and I promise you'll thank me!

This place is awesome. I've been to Great Britain often and this pub could have been transplanted here from across the Atlantic. Delicious food, great service, and a fine selections of draft beers, ciders, wines and liquor await you here. Samosas were huge, the fish & chips were the best I've had outside of the UK, and the shepherd's pie was magnificent. Come find out for yourself.

I wish I could give Red Lion 10 stars!! This was our first time and the ambiance and food were absolutely amazing. We got the Sunday Roast dinner, both lamb and beef, and I can honestly say it's the best meal we've had our entire trip. Absolute fantastic and we will definitely be back again, possibly this same trip. Thank you for the excellent service and meal!!

I’ve been eating at the Red Lion for years! Great beer selection (Fuller’s ESB is perfect!) their fish & chips is spectacular and the Friday Fish & Chips Special is one hell of a deal! Best fish & chips in town!!

I had the half portion Fish & Chips with peas. Lemonade for my drink. The bar must open earlier than the restaurant as the parking lot was full when I arrived at 11:05 am. The service was very good and it was nice to have an authentic meal.

Had an awesome Sunday dinner at the Red Lion with my family! The place was quite busy but no wait, so that was a plus since you can’t make reservations. (Just fyi) The papadams were more than basic for the cost but still tasty. My roast dinner was amazing! Very large portions! & the sticky toffee was great as well! It is defiantly a bit on the pricey side but the quality of food was defiantly up there! Can’t wait to return!

It’s been a while since I visited this place but I can definitely remember the great experience u had here. The shepherds pie is phenomenal and tasty, and their wine selection is on point as well. A very cozy place and overall different experience from your typical bar/pub in Houston.

My youngest grew up for 3 years in the UK. (To this day I still make her Marmite toast). She recently had some bangers and mash on vacation and was wanting to have some while at home. We visited Red Lion Pub to try and see if it was as good for her as it was in the UK. She was not disappointed. I ordered Sheppards Pie. It was also fab! The decor really reminded us of living in the UK. The price is a little on the steep side but we’ll worth the price if you have a hankerin for some British food!!!!

Their food, drinks and customer service is really good! Had a great time coming here with my church friends and watch the soccer games too. The food was in great quality and didn’t wait very long for the food to come to our tables. I recommend this location to everyone of all cultures who love to eat good. I really enjoyed the bread pudding as well too it was delicious.

We haven't been for awhile since we don't live close. We ended up splitting the baked chicken tandoori quesadillas. They were flavorful and the sauces were also good. They used to have more in them but they were still good. We will still hungry so we also had the one piece fish and chips Friday special. They were also crispy and hot. The restaurant has a lively, friendly atmosphere and our server, Norma, was excellent.

Classic British Pub. Love the environment and traditional British dishes like fish and chips, but there are also other mix of mexican and indian dishes.

The Red Lion Pub is such a fantastic Houston gem for phenomenal food, great conversation, and cold brews on tap. Where else can you have a hearty English breakfast on the patio, or have happy hour drinks to go with your curry? And yes, their curry food options are fantastic and BIG portions. Get their Monday BBQ Chicken special for only $10 and your tummy won’t be disappointed. The staff here is also super polite and works as a team to take care of your table. Restrooms were clean, smelled nice, and there is ample parking that surrounds the property. The architecture is probably my favorite feature, as there is always something cool to look at. Easily my favorite area inside is the booths towards the fireplace which make for a cozy date night or a fun group game night outing with friends.

The staff and service was phenomenal, we arrived shortly before the kitchen was closing but the staff was super accommodating. Our sever was super helpful with making recommendations and everything tasted amazing. They have a wide variety of beers on tap as well as plenty of cocktails. Everything from their mac and cheese to the chicken tikka masala was amazing.

Stopped in for a late drink the other day and was pleasantly surprised to find this gem of a pub. The place has a true British feel and the desert I tried was absolutely great! Prices were decent and the staff was cool. They are using Covid-19 protocols and all staff wearing masks. If you haven't been to the Red Lions British Pub you need to check it out.

This is a Houston classic. Great pub with excellent service and excellent service. I had chicken tikka masala and it was sooo delicious. DJ was playing great songs though it was unnecessarily loud. That is the only reason I am not giving five stars!

Burns Night in Houston, and oddly not a lot of options. So we finally tried the Red Lion. The atmosphere was warm Ann's comfortable, staff was amazing (and masked, thank y'all!!), the food really very good (and large options- 2 of us shared the samosa appetizer and lamb keema with peas and we have enough leftover for more than a meal), and ended with a fantastic whiskey- Aberlour 16. Ask for Angel to help you if you go- she's friendly and very helpful (even if she hadn't heard of a Black Velvet, but made it happen!). We were very happy and will be back!

The Red Lion Pub is a charming and cozy establishment that offers a delightful British pub experience. I've had the pleasure of visiting a few times, and it consistently delivers on its promise of good food and a warm atmosphere. The menu at the Red Lion is a nod to classic British pub fare. You can expect dishes like fish and chips, bangers and mash, and hearty pies. The food is well-prepared and flavorful, making it a satisfying choice for those looking for traditional British comfort food. The pub's ambiance is quintessentially British, with wooden furnishings, dim lighting, and a welcoming fireplace. It's a great place to unwind with friends or enjoy a casual meal. The staff is friendly and attentive, adding to the overall positive experience.

Walking into the Red Lion transported me. Being a Houston transplant, I often seek pubs that will offer that British feeling I miss from London. This place has it. On Wednesday nights it’s curry night. It’s the perfect midweek dinner that will leave you satisfied and full. Bartenders are very friendly and great with suggestions. Best seats are the corner booths, they offer a cozier and intimate vibe.

Didn't seem like much from the outside and drove past the place a few times... but alas a local Houstonian friend of ours reccommended the place... Not only were we blown away by the interior.. the food was gourmet! Much more quality than what we were expecting for "pub" food. Had the Pan Seared Chicken Breast and Scallops. Came back the next week to try the Filet Mignon and Pork Shank. The owner keeps the windows covered from the inside, so after a while we completely forgot we were sitting in Houston and it really felt like we were in a part of the British isles... deff recommend this place for anyone that enjoys quality culinary and deff gonna be back with the family for the holidays!

Cute little British Pub. We had their vegetable samosas. They are HUGE and delicious. Their cider was served in a true British pint. The fish and chips were the best we've had since being in England. My husband's shepherds pie was delicious.

I was recently there with my boyfriend and his family. We sat outside. The music was a little bit loud. The waitress was very nice and welcoming. My boyfriend and I split the salmon dish and so did his parents. It was plenty of food and it was very good. The vodka tonics we ordered were very weak so my boyfriend's dad told the waitress and she replaced them right away with much stronger ones at no extra charge. Great quick service.

Traditional British fare with a bit of a Tex-Mex twist on some dishes. Amazing beer selection, and cocktail menu has the standards with some truly unique craft cocktails. Fish and chips are great, bangers & mash with Heinz beans reminds of childhood. Check out Steak Night on Thursdays. More importantly, the staff is extremely friendly, attentive, and efficient. Overall fantastic experience over the years of us eating here.

Looking for a place to eat and drink that has an atmosphere different from the typical pub? If you like things that are unique and enjoy a place with a European flair, then you might want to consider a visit to the Red Lion British Pub. Walking into Red Lion for the first time, you will be greeted by an interior with a good deal of wood and, not surprisingly, the color red. The atmosphere has a distinctly European vibe, like one would expect for this type of pub. The fireplace adds a home- like ambiance as well. And the pictures on the walls, the lighting, etc. make you feel like you’re in friendly confines. With the food, Red Lion has a larger menu than that of the typical pub and it goes above and beyond the usual pub fare. You will find the common food options like burgers, wings, and quesadilla. But there is much more, including filet mignon, chicken masala, pork shank, pan seared cod, and more. Be prepared, however, for a slight case of sticker shock. The food and drink prices are higher here than what you find at most pubs. The quality is good, yes, but you pay the price. The beer selection at Red Lion is quite good. You will find about twenty beers on tap and another twenty in bottles. And there are many European options to be found among the beers, like Fuller’s, Newcastle, Belhaven, and others. If you would rather drink something else, don’t worry. They serve a large selection of Scotch whiskey and wine and with the full bar, they can mix up whatever drink you like. Specialty pubs are often memorable and Red Lion British Pub is certainly a memorable place to dine and drink. It is pricey, yes, but the food, service, and ability to find multiple European beers and Scotches in a single place make it worthwhile.

Fine outdoor area for those fine evenings in front of the fire pit. Good selection of beers and some good British grub on the menu.
