I don't give to many five stars but they deserve it. Customer Service is exceptional. Food is absolutely reasonable priced and delicious. The vibe and atmosphere is superb. You can walk in and sit anywhere you like. Dress code: relaxed Drinks: strong Meun: simple but classic Parking is a little difficult so come early or catch the train

Not a 5 star but got what we expected. We had a new server so that was kind of fun and she got things mostly right. The food was good portioned, the burger and Nashville hot were well constructed and tasty. Basically a solid choice and good place to watch a game.

The food here was really great along with very friendly and personable service! They had quite a deep variety and it a good quality of food as well. The restaurant was pretty busy, but we were able to find a table late at night. It is right off of a main Street so fairly easy to get to as well. They had probably 10 local craft beers on the menu as well!

Absolutely terrible. We waited an hour for food even though it wasn’t busy at all. No one ever came to our table to check on us or take our order instead I had to walk up to the bar and stand there for 5+ minutes while several workers made eye contact with me and ignored me. The chicken Alfredo was very bland and chicken was extremely dry somehow even though it’s in a sauce. The alcoholic beverages were not great and didn’t even drink one of them. The bregman sandwich was one of the worse things I’ve eaten in years and the “brisket” was literally like eating jerky and was so bad I couldn’t even eat it except for two bites total. The wings were the best part just because they were nice and juicy although the Buffalo sauce they used was nasty. I wish I could get a refund because this is one the worst restaurant I have possibly eat at.

This is OK post drinking food after spending some time bar hopping. Waffle was burnt & chicken had no flavor. The burger was decent. Drinks are their redemption 8/10!

Personally, the environment is great. Suttle, quiet and cozy. The meal, mediocre. The best plate to eat: mac and cheese, waffles and pork loin sliders. The chicken, appears juicy and thick. With little to absolutely no flavor at all. Neither the sauce helps it unfortunately. The moonshine was well crafted, and fruity. Portions well, and menu very limited.

I give this place 5 stars because the Smoked Brisket Grilled Cheese is a good sandwich to eat. You will get full with the sandwich and fries and the service was pretty attentive which was a plus. The establishment wasn't to pack which meant there wasn't a wait time. We will be back to this place later apparently this is my gf favorite spot.🙂

This place being open after NYE was a godsend… definitely needed food in us. Food was tasty but portions were smaller than I’d like. Didn’t get the drink we asked for but didn’t want to make a fuss. The second drink we ordered was tasty but it definitely knocked us on our butts. Between the mimosa and then the moonshine, we definitely had a good post brunch nap…

We went for lunch and was seated right away. Very cozy atmosphere. Our order was taken right away. Service was on point. The food was good, hot and well portioned. Clean place. Cocktail's were well made.

The taste was awesome. As an European every plate was for two lady's. It was enormous portions and we baught 1 plate pr. person. We got our food with us in a bag, and we can eat the last before sleeping *****

Would absolutely return for the environment and service but not for the food. We ordered shrimp tacos and the cat fish plate, and while it was tasty we were expecting a little bit more. Fish meal needed more rice (disproportion is visible); same with tacos, as each had about 3 regular sized shrimps (way too much cabbage and toppings). Our server was a sweetheart and beer is decently priced.

My wife and I had the brisket nachos and they were amazing. Definitely enough for 4 people especially being an appetizer.. We also had the apple pie moonshine cocktail and the strawberry breeze they were both amazing!! If you are looking for a stronger drink the apple pie moonshine drink was the ticket!! Very friendly staff and local patrons!!

The fried green tomatoes were the best. I had the Nashville hot sandwich which was ok. The hubs had the chicken fettuccine and it fell short. Too watery and bland. We had to track down our waitress a few times which was a little annoying. I'll be back to check out Sunday brunch one of these days.

Enormous portions on the appetizers. I ordered the brisket nachos and my plate was fit for a party of 5. My friends say that the shrimp poboy was tasty as well as the chicken enchiladas. It’s bar food so I would not say that it’s top tier. The service was wonky, never got my water refilled or offered another cocktail when I finished my drink. Also visited on a Saturday so that may have effected the service but our waitress didn’t seem busy.

My friend and I had a great time for dinner while we had a staycation in downtown Houston. The service was on point, drinks were SO tasty, and their brisket nachos quickly disappeared from our plate. We sat at the bar and absolutely loved the bar staff, we will be back for sure!

Lively and almost full with Sports Fan on a busy Friday Game Night. It took awhile before our Waiter arrived, as people were coming and going. It was hard to tell what was going on. If you're not in a hurry, take your time in ordering between Appetizers, Meals and Desert. Otherwise, you'll find your table extremely crowded with plates of food, all getting cold. The Crab & Crawfish Cake was delicious. I was a bit surprised that their Coleslaw was mixed in with the Crab & Crawfish Cake. The Slaw was a 50/50 mixed review amongst my table. The Sauce was well received, however the Cherry Tomatoes were old. No firmness what-so-ever. Just turned to mush in your mouth. The Kountry Kobb Salad was a Winner and Highly Recommend! That we all agreed on. As for the Happy Hour Menu items, the Brisket Sliders were also a 50/50 hit. Most didn't like the Slaw being grilled. As for the Beer Batter Fried Jumbo Mushrooms with Siracha Ranch Dressing... Don't bother! At first we weren't sure as to what they were. After cutting one in half, we were surprised of their size. Unfortunately, No One at my table liked them. The Siracha Ranch Dressing was excellent. However, no amount of that Dressing could save those Mushrooms. As they were all Soggy and very Oily. No crunch, again... what-so-ever. Finally, we have the Vanilla Butter Cake. Butter Cake may not sound good, but all of us who tried it, Loved it. So make sure you try the Vanilla Butter Cake, before they change up the Menu. Each time we come in, which isn't to often, they either add, remove, or change up the items in the dish.

Delicious drinks, great food (especially for how late it was) and excellent service. I love their Alex Bregman grilled cheese so much that I took a bite before I took the picture lol oops.

Had brunch here with friends. I had the breakfast brisket tacos, pretty good! They all had the chicken and waffles. I tried the chicken, good but too spicy for my taste. Our server, Paul, was so attentive and helpful.

The Moonshiners Southern Table + Bar is a rustic eatery that offers a cozy atmosphere, ideal for indulging in moonshine and whiskey cocktails along with some Southern comfort fare. During our visit, we tried the biscuits and gravy as well as the chicken and waffles. While the dishes were tasty and satisfying, they didn't quite stand out compared to other brunch options in the area. Nonetheless, it's worth stopping by for a laid-back meal or a drink if you're in the vicinity, but keep in mind that there might be more impressive brunch spots nearby to explore.

The resturant is a seat yourself style place. Limited menu. Food took a while to get to the table after ordering. Our table was sticky we had to ask someone to clean it. Other than that it was nice. The food was good and free drink refills. Street parking is available as well as a parking lot across the street (we paid $17 to park via QR code @ the lot)

Stopped for dinner on our walk to the Astros game. Sat inside and it was pleasant. Great deal for happy hour drinks and apps. Our snacks were tasty, and everything that was being carried out around us looked delightful as well. Our server stopped by an appropriate amount. Overall a nice experience.

Came here after an orchestral concert. I ordered the brisket nachos and It was good. The food was not as temperature hot as I would have liked and the chips did get soggy very quickly. Also, the server was multitasking beyond a reasonable limit and neglected our table for a long while. I would not go out of my way to visit here but if i am in the area then sure!

Nice corner bar/grill. Not ideal if you are a carnivore like me, all the sides are carby. Burger was cooked correctly and was tender. My co workers really enjoyed their plates.

We stopped in for dinner on a Saturday night and dinner was delicious. The chicken sandwich was amazing and I recommend it. Service was not great at first but after we spoke with the manager on duty he took great care of us and even gave us directions to some downtown attractions. Dinner was so good we will be stopping by when we visit Houston again.

7/20/22: Visiting from Dallas. This was within walking distance from our downtown hotel, and it wasn't too busy when we got there, around 8:30 pm. Morgan took care of us. She was very friendly and welcoming. She only had one Michelob Ultra, so my friend took it, and I ordered a draft Bombshell blonde, which was pretty good. He had a Moonshiners burger, and I had the pulled pork tacos. The food was really good, and the restaurant was clean. Around 9pm, more people were starting to come in. There were TV's throughout, and it was a pretty cool atmosphere.

Food and drinks were great here! Servers were nice and the view of Main st was a bonus. Only complaint I have is that many of the drinks couldn't be made because they ran out of certain liquors. Our waitress wasn't perfect, but all the staff was attentive and ensured we were taken care of. Short walking distance to 713 Music Hall or other downtown sites.

Good food. Slightly busy atmosphere. Quick and efficient service. I'm looking forward to returning to try other menu items.

Drinks were bomb however, shrimp Alfredo was very salty, queso was cold, and po-boy bread was dry and salty. Service was really friendly!!

The food was delicious it was pretty good fresh made and good quality meat. I wish we could have tried the chicken and waffles or the nachos they were out of these items when we went. Staff was very attentive but did seem a little disorganized we had about three people that kept checking on us so we knew who took our order but not 100% sure who are waitress was. The bathrooms were unkept soap and water wore all over the sink and I got my shirt wet and soapy.

Fun place to watch the Astros in the The World Series. Good service. The pulled pork tacos are OK. The moonshiners signature burger is the half pound beef patty grilled to perfection top with cheddar cheese applewood smoked bacon barbecue sauce lettuce onion tomato and pickle on a challah bun. The husband really liked it. BUT the French fries were very soggy, So order kettle chips instead. Cocktails are good! Try the strawberry breeze. Try the Buffalo Bayou great white buffalo beer. Good. Order dessert: banana pudding. It was OK. Comes in a huge white Styrofoam cup.
