Vibe- This is THE SPOT! It’s real chill and laid back. There’s a bar and about 10 booths with comfy seating. This is a nice spot to come to for a girl’s night out or date night. Customer service- Great! The bartender that helped me all night was great, he made the best drinks. Food/drinks- I had an Irish coffee and a grasshopper that was delicious. I also ordered the mushroom sandwich to eat and it was good! Parking- They have valet parking and a lot across the street with about 20 or so spots.

classy bar with dim lighting, industrial digs & quite fancy yet pricey cocktails. was pretty crowded on a friday night, sort of hard to order a drink. table seating was mostly taken while most only had standing room due to the narrow passways. my “sunbather” cocktail had exquisite presentation of mint & melon. would return on a weekday when it’s not so packed!

Good spot for a few cocktails!! The vibe is very industrial chic and they have alllll types of liquors. They even have non alcoholic options, making it a cool hangout spot for date night, guys night or girls night, grabbing a couple drinks before dinner, after dinner etc. They do have a few food options and we tried a couple sandwiches. Really fresh, flavorful and a great portion size! Now on to the drinks. They were so well crafted that one wouldn't do justice!! We had the opportunity to try a few cocktails like Pimm's Cup, El Diablo, a few rum drinks and the Champagne cocktail and our palate and minds were blown. The prices are great and the service even better. The only thing is that they have limited seating options so please do keep that mind!!

Came for cocktails with friends. Their charcuterie was great to snack. We tried few of their cocktails and we all loved them all! They get pretty packed at night time. Be prepared to stand drinking. If you want to get a table, go early.

i finally gave this place a try and it just was so cool! i love how the bar area was setup, so neat. the bartender, i didn't get his name, but see the photo below.. he really knew his stuff, had a personality, and just overall FUN. we walked in on a thursday night and he greeted with a full smile and we got lucky to snag a spot right at the bar even tho it was super crowded. although i cannot comment on alcoholic drinks, i enjoyed the topo chico with lime. even tho the place was crowded, i really enjoyed my time there. i think his energy was so happy, it made us happy. also i loved how clean and spacious the restroom was. i def can see myself going back to this spot. i do highly recommend and they also have a full menu with food.

Finally made it to this spot and it did not disappoint!! This was the second stop of the night for my friend's 50 bday celebration and from the moment we walked up we knew it was going to be a fun place, the gentleman at the door was funny and friendly... as we walked in a squeaky voice bartender greeted us with a menu and from there on it was a blast! Liliana is a great bartender!! We told her to surprise us with refreshing drinks, girly drinks, manly drinks and just whatever she thought we would like and everything we had was delicious. Her ability to greet ppl, heand out menus, take orders, carry multiple fun conversations all while making intricate cocktails at lightning fast speeds was just mind blowing. Great selection of bottles, crafted cocktails, bar food, good atmosphere and friendly staff makes this a must try spot in the Houston montrose area.

So let me start this review off by mentioning that I'm a VERY casual drinker. But I know enough to tell if I'm getting a good drink. AND THIS PLACE HAS GOOD DRINKS! It's a very dark and intimate setting when you go in. There are an immediate flight of stairs to walk up before approaching the bar. We were seated right away. Our bartender's name was Josh. This guy rocks! The staff were all very friendly, kind with great attitudes. Josh provided us some recommendations on drinks and he was a wizard at making them! He kept us stocked on their little pretzel bites too. Super inviting personality and he just made you realize it was a good decision coming to the bar. That's how bartending is done. They also have small bites for purchase like a charcuterie, etc. The drinks were outstanding but unfortunately I don't remember the names of the unique ones I have pictured. But believe me, they were delicious. And the music playlist was LIT! ☺️ I HIGHLY recommend this bar to legal drinking folks of all ages. You will love the service, staff and drinks! We will be back!

I am so impressed with this place! I went last night for the first time with my gf and we absolutely loved it. The bartenders all pretty much greet every single person that walks through the door. The service was super fast while the entire place was packed. The cocktails were super delicious! I’ve lived in this neighborhood for 8 years and never had a chance to visit this spot. To be honest I think I found the new hangout for me and my friends. I highly recommend this place to everyone, you will not be disappointed!

What can I say that has not been already said about this trendy cocktail bar. Upon entering you may notice the inviting ambience and eclectic decor but it’s their signature drinks that captivates one’s attention at this quaint bohemian tavern. While I tried a variety of drinks thanks to the astute mixologist: Alexander - what stood out was “The Brave”. Great drinks and friendly staff will lure me back.

I came here the first time more than 10 years ago after the New York Times listed the bar as one of the top 20 in the States and have been a regular since. It's still my favorite bar in town. However, they haven't made any memorable cocktails lately. They used to have the first name basis or dark throne that really stood out and made me love this bar a lot. Nowadays the cocktails are still ok but very typical and have lots of similarities. The menu is rather boring. I can go there and have a drink or two and that's it. In the past, I could enjoy the whole night and just keep going from one to another. I hope they bring the creativity and diversity back.

Definitely will be back! I never really drank cocktails but it’s nice to find spots that know what they are doing. I don’t drink a lot so I don’t know what is good or what my preference is but this place was very refreshing and I did enjoy both drinks. I got the Fairest Fruit and My Madonna they cost $12 each but worth it! The other drink is called The Prescription and definitely tasted like one! I’m a light weight so I am a cheap date friend or foe. See y’all again soon!

Checked out this small, cozy bar for a drink before dinner. Came in the early afternoon on a Saturday and it was absolutely packed. Kudos to the staff and bartenders who were working incredibly hard to serve a crowd. Only had time for one drink, and it was great. Would definitely recommend coming outside of peak dinner hours to stay for longer. Hope to try some food as well next time.

If I could give 6 stars, I would. I was just in town for a day and found this cocktail bar, and definitely one of my favorites - not just in Houston. I love places where you just walk in and tell them your taste, and they’ll whip something up off-menu, and Lily did just that. Cool modern diner-esque interior, met a bunch of interesting people, very good staff and delicious cocktails.

Whether you’re into classics or innovative concoctions, you’ll find something to suit your palate.

Wish I remembered our bartenders name, but she was the sweetest. We were recommended this lounge by our server at Liberty Kitchen and Oysterette. So happy we listened. The drinks were more than amazing!!!!!! Staff friendly. And patrons were a lovely mix of ages and backgrounds. Very romantic, dim lighting and easy listening to music.

They have a huge selection of drinks and they are of great quality and everything is super delicious! The venue is well designed but it does get quite loud and noisy.

This place is utterly fantastic! The care which goes into each expertly crafted cocktail is remarkable. I love how everything tastes so fresh and delicious. The bartenders are so friendly and are very impressive with their knowledge and skills. They mix some of the finest drinks in town.

Great place for cocktails & love the interior with all the booths along the wall. We were very particular (extra 🤣) about the type of ice in our drinks, but the bartender was kind & accommodating. This place gets crowded on weekends so I recommend stopping in early if you can!

This place was Awesome! Driving through Houston and we were looking for a chill drink spot, this place was legit. Inexpensive for delicious craft cocktails. Great service and a cool vibe. It was a little loud, so if you want a more intimate space this is probably not your scene. Will definitely go back.

The best bar in the Montrose district. A massive selection of liquor that includes rare and hard to find items. Well prepared cocktails can be paired with charcuterie or sandwiches or, if pressed for time, they offer a variety of cocktails to go. The spirits list is 35 pages long. Yes, 35! They also have a 100 classics list that covers all the favorites and is categorized for easy navigation. And of course they have beer and wine. Come in, sit down and prepare to be amazed by the quality of the drinks and atmosphere.

A comfortable place for some quality cocktail drinks. Drew is extremely knowledgeable with drinks and his friendly personality adds a memorable experience as you enjoy your drink. A must visit if you are visiting Houston.

Amazing bar with really great atmosphere and quality drinks made by really nice bartenders! We went through a few items on the menu but the one that stood out to us the most was one made with tumeric. My husband didn't care or it but I thought it tasted like a boozy tumeric latte. Worth a shot if you're feeling adventurous!

Love all the different hand-shaken cocktails. Tried the blue steel and the double take. Place had very large booths that fit 4 but most were occupied with just 2 so you'll end up standing at the railing waiting for seats at bar or booth. The chacuterie board is tasty but waaaaay overpriced. Same with the razor clams. $20 for 4 clams and 6 saltines. Yikes. Def will go back but only for the drinks.

Cocktails were fun and the bartenders know what they're doing. Over 100 classic cocktails and a page full of unique ones. Highly recommend!

Nice cocktail lounge, nice variety and the bartenders can customize your drinks on request. There are booths and chairs along the entire wall of the bar and chairs at the bar itself. Only concern is that this place gets very crowded and if you aren't lucky to grab an open table or bar seat, it's hard to hangout and enjoy your drink.

Great cocktail bar with an amazing drink selection (cocktails or single pours). Small seating space inside but I think the vibe is worth it. Staff is always friendly and cocktails are decently priced.

Anvil is an old fave you can always count on with great drinks and friendly service. I was pleased to see the staff was masked and patrons wore their masks upon entry. The Brave (pictured on the left) is a drink so strong my wife's reaction made our server laugh. Anvil is queer friendly and a fun place to reminisce past Pride parades. Thank you to our excellent server, Cory, for giving us a great time!
