Visited
12/10/22
just
before
midnight
as
this
was
one
of
the
stops
on
our
SantaCon
2022
Pub
crawl
route.
Attempted
to
get
in
through
the
Bagby
entrance
but
the
the
white
guy
with
the
beard
denied
my
entry
because
I
was
wearing
red
Timbalnd
boots,
which
was
part
of
my
outfit.
I
was
with
about
50
plus
people
dressed
in
Santa
Outfits,
holiday
wear,
and
so
on.
I've
always
heard
the
stories
in
midtown
about
profiling
and
for
that
reason
I
always
chose
to
stay
away.
But
this
was
an
organized
event,
the
bars
knew
we
were
coming
and
nowhere
on
their
website
was
there
any
reference
to
dress
code.
Anyhow
my
friends
said
try
the
other
entrance
on
McIlhenny
street
which
we
did
and
guess
what?
The
guy
there
let
me
in
with
no
problem.
I
honestly
did
not
want
to
be
there
after
the
first
impression
from
the
guy
at
the
first
entrance
but
our
time
there
was
short.
The
bar
staff
was
great,
the
crowd
was
diverse
and
I
did
notice
casual
wear
throughout
the
venue
from
athletic
apparel
to
sneakers
of
all
walks,
boots
and
so
on.
I
won't
say
this
establishment
is
racist
because
of
one
person's
opinion
about
my
dress
attire,
because
that
is
a
blanket
statement
and
from
what
I
could
see
this
was
not
the
case.
However
I
would
recommend
more
training
for
the
staff
that
work
the
doors,
that
way
everyone
is
on
the
same
page
and
there
is
a
level
of
consistency
when
operating
for
business.
And
most
importantly,
if
you
are
going
to
have
discrepancies
in
dress
code,
address
it
on
your
website
please.
That
way
everyone
is
aware
beforehand
what
to
expect
when
visiting
your
establishment.
Will
I
be
back?
Probably
not.
