Can't say enough about the management and staff of Rudyard's. They are some of the best and nicest people around. Fast and friendly for sure. The food here is phenomenal and the drinks are made just right. With two floors plenty of dining space an upstairs stage and bar and the back room. Has dartboards. What else could you ask for? Downstairs all Covid-19 protocols are strictly enforced. If you want to have a good time in Houston with and "English" flair Rudyard's is the place to go. If you want to see great amateur comedy nights and local bands this is also the place to be!!

Yummy Detroit style pizza. Very friendly staff and kind and attentive to our dog. The pizza is so delicious that you wanna go back everyday. 😋

Rudyards is the best!!! Food is incredible! Strawberry daiquiri made from real strawberries! Ugh! Brittany behind the bar is a total gem! Ugh! Everything there is perfect!

Came here for a show upstairs which was great. My review is based on their service or lack of. We went upstairs, scanned the QR code, we placed our order and automatically was forced to tip. Tip who? We don’t drink alcohol so we ordered 2 soft diet cokes. Our meals came and we needed a refill. I saw a guy dropping off food next to us so I waived at him and asked if he could bring us two refills of Diet Coke, he said no problem. He came back a few minutes later and said I have to order my drinks using the we code. So I pulled my phone out scanned the code again and spent the next 5 minutes trying to figure out the refill situation and came to the conclusion that they wanted me to pay $5 for another 16oz cup of soda, that’s just ridiculous. What bar or restaurant charges people for sods refills? I could see maybe a buck. Anyways, this completely ruined the evening as I refused to pay an additional five dollars for a refill of soda that comes out of the soda gun at the bar, not a fresh bottle or a can. The pizza was delicious, but would have been better if I had something to wash it down with.

I give this place three on atmosphere because of the fact that smoking of other types is allowed. The smoke was pretty strong outside when we walked up. Also... The food was okay. Only. The garlic knots were better than the pizza itself... I ordered the margherita pizza and the garlic knots. Like I said, the garlic knots were tasty and went well with the marinara sauce, but the margherita pizza was lackluster and definitely lacking in flavor. Fresh basil and mozzarella would have gone a long way to add to this pizza! The entertainment was funny. My friend and I went there for a show upstairs. It was a dating game show which was entertaining! We figured there would be plenty of singles around... We were wrong, but we still got plenty of entertainment from the host and hostess. Their act did lean more towards offending the audience, but they had a good partnership. I will probably go to the next show, because it will always be different based on the attendees. Hopefully, more people will discover and attend the dating game show that they hosted. But the place still seems like a great place to host a party, especially in the upstairs area.

It's hard to have a bad time here: there's something for everybody. The comedy shows upstairs have some pretty great guests and draws a really good crowd. The bartenders are friendly, and the clientelle pretty eclectic and diverse. Reasonable drinks! Food could a tad better than the usual greasy pub dishes, but I've yet to try the steak.

Some of the worst food I've tried in my entire life, honestly. Got Cesar salad, hard to ruin that one, but it was soggy, half tasteless, haft spicy from so much pepper. Fish and chips with home fries - also a simple dish. Home fries were greasy and very much over fried, but nothing compared to the actual fish. I was hoping for golden color crust, but it was almost BLACK color from how much overcooked it was, and the whole plate had a stink of burnt food. And then of course the burger, that had cheap toaster bread instead of a burger bun.

Great beer selection, music's usually pretty good, and nice mix of crowd. Got the margherita pizza this time but haven't had a bad meal here. The last review above was from about a year and half ago.. this bar has changed a lot unfortunately. It's completely dominated by non-locals after 7pm. Also a lot of the old staff that made it special has left. Curious why honestly. I still love coming here before 7. After that, it's all entitled yuppies and strangers for comedy shows or niche gatherings. Still great food though.

I visited on July 4th right at opening at 11 a.m. Came in with my daughter that frequents this establishment. We shared the pepperoni pizza and Ceasars salad, and it was delicious.

The atmosphere is a little congested when you first walk in but the staff is all great, the food is HOT and yummy and they give you a ton of it!! We'll definitely be back to experience some more comidic relief! Sat in VIP which was almost physically touching the stage, so that was cool. I got the loaded frito pie and my husband ordered a patty melt and onion rings....they did those onion rings PERFECTLY!! I cohld only eat about 30% of my pie because they give you insane portion of it lol. Oh and GET THE MANGO MARGARITAAAAA 🥭 😜 We really enjoyed ourselves 🤪

Great atmosphere, but no table service. You order at the bar. It was bar food, maybe a little above par. One order at our table included an incorrect item. The person did not approach staff about the issue. Garlic knots, fish and chips, and a mixed appetizer plate were on our order. All were pretty good. Only off putting thing was someone I assumed was a customer walking around with their dog inside. Dog was approaching customers and going under tables for crumbs. I like dogs, but not where my food is served. Don't know if this is okay in Houston, but our locality doesn't allow any non-service animals where food is served. Looked like a neighborhood bar and this customer was familiar to staff.

This is a nice place to chill. They have some shows also going on the upper floor. They have live shows, in house music shows and all there. Moreover, they have in-house games like darts , cards and all. It's a really good environment to spend evenings.

The comedy was GREAT!! The 3 Headliners we saw were all absolutely fantastic! They kept the crowd entertained throughout their sets. The bar service was another story entirely! The UPSTAIRS bar had no idea how to make a Bloody Mary. I, ME, ON MY OWN, had to go DOWNSTAIRS to get one. If I wanted to continue to drink my choice of cocktail I would have had to go get it MYSELF. I had paid extra to sit in the VIP section so we would have a waitress and not have to miss the show. So that was kind of pointless. The waitress only put in half of our food order. Since I only got one drink from DOWNSTAIRS, I asked for a water that i never received. My husband was his own waiter most of the night. This was our first time here. We are from out of town and we will not make a special trip again.

Great pizza, great variety, great bartenders!! Our first experience was last year and we honestly had a less than pleasant experience, we decided to give it another shot and now we are hooked. Really no complaints. Now one of our favorite local pubs!

Darts on darts on darts! Four dart boards and a shuffleboard to give yourself something to do other than drink and eat. The food has grown into something better than it should be and the beer selection is on point. They have a full bar too.

What a great neighborhood bar. Everyone was friendly. Waitstaff made great drinks. They put on a comedy show upstairs and it is well run with great acts. The pizza was great. The other food was hit and miss. The spinach dip was watery and tasted like it was frozen then microwaved. If the food was consistently good it would be a 5 star place.

We saw Sugar Sammy tonight and it was amazing! He was hilarious and very interactive with our crowd. My boyfriend, TicTicBoom (if you know you know) and I loved him! Shared a rib eye sandwich, greatest burger we've ever had and the mango frozen margarita was probably the best I've ever had in my life. We definitely will be coming back to check out other comedians. Thank you for a memorable night!

A great Montrose location with fantastic stand up comedians! Fun and quirky decor. The parking situation is not great, so taking an Uber is a good alternative. I haven't tried the food but it looks good! Prices are fair.

I LOVE the Detroit Brick Pizza!! As a vegetarian the menu is limited for me, but that just means I get the delicious thick cheesy Brick pizza every time! The special they had with the potatoes and runny egg was SOOO good!!!! I hope they bring that one back. The staff is also super chill each time I go there. I highly recommend checking this place out.

If you are looking for a night out, this is a great choice. We came for a comedy show. This was our first time here and the staff was very helpful. If you are going upstairs for the show, don't leave an open tab at the bar. You will have a hard time closing out your tab at the end of the night with the crowd. When you get upstairs you will have a QR code at your table. You can scan the code and order anything you want from there. At the end of the night you close your tab on your phone. It is very easy.

Came here for an event. Didn't get any food, but on other people's plate it looked delicious. (Thursdays is Steak Night BTW) The bartender Rex is awesome and funny. Very nice personality and can make a helluva drink!! The atmosphere is very welcoming. It is homely and it kinda reminds me of a set on a sitcom. The upstairs is "The Riot" where they do stand-up comedy shows. I liked the fire that burns in the pit on the patio. Downfall is the parking, but that's the norm for the area. Next time, I will play darts and whatever else they have available there.
