this place and uptown sushi are my go-to sushi spots. anyways mf sushi, i love this place. i like to come here alone for an early dinner before it gets busy and crowded. the vibe is modern and simple yet elegant. my server was brandon and i think he was my server last time too, anyways he was polite and effecient. the food quality is always top notch here. i really enjoyed my normal squid nigiri, salmon sashimi, miso soup, bluefin tuna handroll, and the basic cucumber roll. sadly they were out of uni but i hope next time they have it. the cucumber roll was ok, prob not gonna order next time. parking lot is very easy to find, you can either self-park or valet at the same lot. anyways if you are looking for some delicious sushi that melts in your mouth, this is the place for it.

4 stars because the quality of the fish was good, and the service was good, however the portion size is TERRIBLE. Not to mention, the fish slices on the Nigri are cut SO PAPER THIN that you have to order A LOT to be full. And we did, so unless you have a huge chunk of cash you want to spend on sushi, I’d prob go elsewhere. There are really great places that offer the same price but with a thicker piece of meat, so you can get the most bang for your buck!

We came here for dinner and it did not disappoint. Our favorite dishes were the Hamachi and lobster rolls. We've also been to their sister restaurant, Ume, which has similar dishes and it was just as good. We actually found that we liked the wagyu roll at ume a little better than here but it was still delicious here.

Overall, it was a great experience with delicious food and perfect ambiance for a date. We tried the lobster tempura, shrimp tempura roll, eel roll, and Maguro sashimi. I would not go in starving unless you’re okay with spending a lot. However, you could tell the quality was great in every bite. Highly recommend the lobster tempura! Get the full size, or you’ll regret not having more like us.

Located in the midtown district, MF Sushi offers a great dining experience with some of the highest quality fish out there. We truly enjoyed having a variety of the options of the menu. However, we were disappointed to learn that the omakase menu is only served at the bar. Among the different plates we ordered were the truffle aioli salmon appetizer and the hamachi sushi bar appetizer. We also had tuna nigiri sampler which was to die for! 🍣😻 One of the sushi rolls we ordered was the king roll with salmon, cucumber, tuna and truffle mousse. I must say that some of the appetizers came in very small portions so I do recommend not sharing. Overall great fine dining!

Walked in on a Saturday night and they are flexible enough to put us on the bar table. Menu is quite comprehensive but not overwhelming. Nigiri and sashimi were super fresh. The rolls were good but the ingredients in them quite identical, maybe I ordered the wrong thing. I’d highly recommend the “Signature A5 Wagyu Beef Tartare Aburi” and “Otoro Nigiri” Our Server Jackie was awesome, super attentive and professional.

Excellent sushi with outstanding wine and spirits list. MF sushi presents a fine dining experience in an elegant venue dominated by wood-based, modern interior design. The fish is the highest quality and prepared to maintain a nuanced flavor profile sticking to the more traditional Japanese cuisine. Their wine, cocktail and spirit list (which includes plenty of Japanese whiskey and sake offerings) is well built and drinks can be easily paired with whatever dishes one may choose. The service is very attentive, in fact a bit too interactive , constantly asking questions and interrupting conversations creating a rushed experience. We have visited the place several times already and will certainly return.

Not my first time at MF Sushi, but the last time I went, I really experienced much more than a normal sushi place. Service was excellent, food was delicious and exotic. Place is little pricy but worth it. The sushi experience is off the chain. To have a fully great experience, book the sushi bar. You'll have to order sashimi to taste the different fresh cuts of fish. Located in Museum district, valet available. Highly recommended. Cozy place and perfect for dates.

A little pricey but Good quality food with great service in an unexpected location. The baked lobster appetizer is worth the price of entry. Must visit.

A recent visit to MF left me pleasantly surprised and impressed! The "Deluxe" cocktail was incredibly refreshing, and the sushi rolls were a burst of delicious flavors. The ambiance is perfect for a relaxed meal, and the attentive servers enhanced the overall experience. If you're there, definitely try the "Deluxe" cocktail—it's a game-changer. Highly recommend this place for a delightful sushi and cocktail combo!

I can’t even begin to describe how great this place is. One of my favourite places to eat when I visit Houston. Everything from the food to service to ambience is fantastic. A must go!

I loved the atmosphere and service. I'm not a sushi eater but one of my close friends is and we went here for her birthday. Our waitress was great and very attentive. He made great recommendations. If you like/love sushi I would definitely recommend going here. All of the employees are great! One of the servers took our pictures at the end of the night and we really appreciated the time he took to make sure they were great!

Would highly recommend sitting at the sushi bar. The chefs are truly artists. The food was amazing & our server guided us through an exceptional experience.

Wow!!! We came across this place by chance and so glad we did. The menu is amazing with so many options. If you’re a Sushi lover then do not miss this place. Definitely want to go back and try other dishes and sit right at the sushi bar in front of the chefs!

My wife and I were able to get two seats on such a busy Friday evening. The atmosphere at MF cannot be matched. In addition to that, the service was exceptional. From the host, to servers, and the sushi chefs, they set the standard high to provide a one of a kind experience. Our dinner consisted of their well known omakase. Having experience a handful of omakases, my overall experience here is at the top of my list. Each piece was crafted to perfection and there was a well balanced flow of how and when the pieces came out. If you haven't had the chance to try MF yet, this is your sign to book your next reservation! Huge shout out to the MF team, Chef Chris and our server Mike for taking care of us.

MF sushi does it all with fresh fish, sleek decor, awesome service and a diverse drink menu. We tried a bit of everything and loved pretty much all of it. It’s nice to have all of the options. The Crudo style options probably stood out the most in highlighted the freshness of the fish. The nigiri was all incredibly fresh and tasty (suggest trying the sea bass as something new) and the rolls were different and fun. The wagyu beef preparation and accompaniments is also a nice difference. We really had no complaints at all. Glad I finally tried it and it lived up to the hype. service was exceptional the entire night!

We did the Omakase, and it was the best meal I've ever had. It was around 23 courses over about 3 hours (around 2/3rds or 3/4 nigiri). Every single course was incredible. For drinks, i recommend the ancho or old fashioned. The service was incredible. We'd love to do it again at some point but it is definitely a special occasion meal (360 per person tax and tip with 2.5 cocktails each) .

Absolutely delectable. Went here for dinner and was blown away at the creativity in the dishes and the deliciousness of them as well. Pictured is a wagyu roll with quail eggs. Everything we had was so tender and perfectly flavorful. Highly recommend the hot rock too. Soooo good.
