This is the first Mexican restaurant I tried in Houston. The service was great. Drinks were really good but I was not quite happy with the enchiladas. I felt it could have been better. My favourite was Fried ice cream.

This place caught my eye because of the look of the exterior. It looked like an upscale restaurant and then we saw that the price was not bad at all. There’s public parking all around but we didn’t have to worry about that because we’re staying here downtown. The ambiance is really beautiful. It’s colorful and definitely has that Latin vibe. The restaurant is huge. There are seatings on the first and second floor. The time we came in there was no wait, we were seated right away. Our server Guillermo was very nice. So polite and friendly. He had a great smile each time he came to us. The food came right away. My friend had the Enchilada Marisco and I ordered the Sweet Corn Tamale Cakes with Shrimp and Lump Crab. We tasted each others food. I think I liked my friends order better :). That lump crab over the enchilada was very good. I liked my food but I think there was too much going on with it. I would eat the sweet corn cake by itself not with all the toppings. The toppings were very tasty but not with the Corn Cake. And I didn’t taste any Crab. And you can never go wrong with chips and salsa. I definitely recommend the Enchilada Marisco!

Good place to go before a House of Blues or Toyota Center concert. Also come here for lunch as I work downtown. Their chips and red salsa are unrivaled. We went through 3 baskets of chips. The white queso and chips appetizer was the bomb! Wife and I split the nachos, so good. Friends 16 year old got the burrito. Cleaned the plate. His dad got one of the enchilada plates. Again, cleaned the plate. He probably wanted to lick it cleaner! Ha, sorry, that's gross 😄

Fantastic food and drinks, lovely atmosphere, attentive servers, and a great menu! I loved having lunch here with friends. Everyone loved the meals that they ordered and those who ordered drinks enjoyed those as well. This is a great place to come on your own, with a friend, or with a larger group. I recommend Guadalajara Del Centro with enthusiasm! Loved it!

Delicious food. Attentive and friendly service. Comfortable but she can atmosphere. If you live downtown, the location is great. Otherwise parking might be a challenge. Little pricey but well worth it.

This place has a pretty good menu for tex mex food. Service was great and drinks were on point. My was food was delicious: Shrimp wrapped with bacon. I recommend this if you like shrimp. My wife tried the enchilada and she also loved it. There fajita is very very tender. Here of some images of what we order. Price is on the little high side but the quality and service makes up for it. Please Share, Like, and Follow for more true ratings. #JaysTrueRating

We were seated quickly and they took our drink orders right away. Drinks came quickly and they took our order and the food arrived pretty quickly. Food is good and reasonably priced. Definitely will come back and recommend.

I came here after the pandemic and remember their food and drinks being excellent. Came today and got served half of a raspberry lemon drop. They pour it into a good size cup but they don’t fill it to the top. Not even close to the top. That was a disappointment. Then they added salt to my wound by giving the lady next to me the same drink ./ however hers was served to the rim. I would have taken a picture but I didn’t want to look like a creep. Food was good . Fried chicken enchiladas. My husband got fajitas for two and for the price they could of given him a lot More. The server was friendly. I would recommend parking in valet. It’s cheaper then the parking garage

I'm so stuffed...lol! The made to order guacamole and happy hour Guadritas are delicious! We also ordered the Tejano Platter to share, beef & chicken fajitas, bacon wrapped shrimp and a jalapeno sausage. We couldn't finish it, there was so much food. Martin was a fantastic waiter. Would visit again the next time I stay in Downtown Houston.

Went in the evening of 7/7- It was good but I didn’t love it. The Enchilada Marisco was super fishy tasting.. I know it’s seafood but like.. it was off. I had heartburn/reflux so bad after eating there I had trouble sleeping that night 😅 the Fried Chicken Enchilada was okay, and same with the vanilla Tres Leches. Maybe we just ordered the wrong stuff idk. The food looked really pretty though, and our waiter was great.

Guadalajara lunch was a hit. Probably was one of the best lunch during the visit in Houston. It came out hot and fresh and very delicious. The Oaxaca old fashioned needs some serious practice but hey this is definitely it a drink they get requests for much I assume. We came after the lunch rush so we didn’t wait long for our food at all. Provecho

Never disappoints. We love coming here before the baseball game, basketball game or concert at Toyota Center. The food is excellent and so are the drinks. The staff is great and the atmosphere is inviting. I recommend them.

We had team lunch here. Food is good and delicious. Dessert although we didn’t get any was supposed to be delightful.

Traveled to Houston for a business event and chose guadalara for dinner. Great atmosphere and right off the bat the salsa is amazing. However service started off very slow. After we were seated and drinks ordered it took 20 minutes for our server to return to place our food order. We had the fajita trio as well as the enchilada combo. Everything about the enchilada combo was excellent. We really enjoyed it. The steak and chicken fajitas are excellent-the flavor is smokey without being overwhelming and very tender. However the shrimp were very overcooked and I couldn't eat them. We had to keep tracking down different servers to get refills, tortillas that were forgotten with the fajitas, and to go boxes. Definitely enjoyed most of the food but was unhappy with the service.

My best friend chose this spot and we loved it! I had the Shrimp Avocado Relleno and was not disappointed. The battered, deep fried avacado, stuffed with shrimp & cheese was like nothing I've ever had before. Going here again. My friend had the chicken enchiladas with a Strawberry Mango margarita

I came here for dinner before an event at the House of Blues and had a great experience! I had made a reservation for 2 people, and I was seated as soon as I checked in with the host. Our server Liz was so sweet and friendly! We ordered the chicken tortilla soup and the chicken enchiladas verdes, and both were so delicious! I would definitely come back here. I also loved the lighting and ambience.

First time here - good food and decor. I ordered salmon tacos with a size of rice: tasty. The spicy strawberry mojito was just it's name: spicy enough to feel it, but not too much to take away from it's lemonie spearmint flavor.

Decent lunch choice. I ordered off the Tex-Mex menu and I didn't regret doing so. All of the Mexican food was correct, but the meat was a bit overcooked but tender. Overall it's a great spot for a lunch or large parties. If you want bang for your buck there are a few other options in the are. Highlight: bottomless sweet tea is really good!
