So this place is amazing as a performer or as a concert goer. Great sized venue. They make drinks fast and are friendly as all hell. Hardly a line because they are so professional. The food is standard bar food but done really well. Damn chicken tenders saved my life today. First real meal I ate and it was delicious and they had great sauce options. The bathrooms are nice. Great stage. AC is on point. Couldn’t ask for anything else.

Staff is amazing, the music is freaking awesome! Bartenders are on point with getting the drinks out and the food orders in. Security is definitely on point with keeping it a safe environment. Mcclain is like a Hawk watching the crowd! And with keeping the bands safe as well. Every band I've seen play there has always been nice to their fans. Great establishment to go and unwind for a night with great drinks and amazing music.

Great bar and concert venue! Courteous and friendly service. Broad drink selection available. Outstanding decor with walls lined with miniature guitars and photos for past artists and shows. Unlike other such venues there are plentiful tables available for reservation and a solid stage and sound setup. I felt like the sound setup led to somewhat muddy vocals distinction but overall a good mix. Also kudos to a spot in Houston that knows how to keep the temps cool even in the hot summertime! Don't hesitate to head to events here.

Saw The Wilson Brothers and Co (The Hunger) put on a great show, again. Them boys been doing it for 20+ years and still put on a great show. Scout bar is a great place for concerts, close crowd, loud sounds and nice lights. They know how to do it. We met up with friends and reserved a table for the show and they didn't disappoint. Awesome night all around. We definitely recommend and we will be back again and again...

What not to love? Being mere feet away from your fav band or artist while enjoying your fav 🍺 or 🍸 listening to great music. But seriously, use the restroom before going; lines get long and if you never been. They have a smoking section outside by the back.

Staff is great the bar had hardly any line they where quick. We grabbed a quick bit and got some chicken cheese Fries, the queso was fire. The restroom had an attendant ready with paper towels and a selection of toiletries.not the first time here the audio is always great load clean clear sound. No echo or capped out distortion.

Oddly enough I’ve lived in Houston my whole life and have never gone to scout bar until last night. The environment was very positive and everyone was really friendly! Also great to see Jonny Craig, Keepmysecrets and Shaker!

Really fun, and the crowd was great! Spazmarics were awesome. Would love to see them again! The atmosphere is definitely a major upgrade from Satellite.

Saw the Metal Church show. Three solid opening bands and MC rocked it hard. Even a pretty good mosh pit broke out. The coolest part of this show was that there was a bunch of [ep[;e in their 20's at the show. MC is an Old School (1980'S) Metal band. Members have changed some but they are still rocking and seeing "kids" in their 20's there was refreshing. Metal Lives Forever!! Scout Bar is very friendly to me as a disabled person. I will give them some bad points for the bathrooms really not being accessible. The door to the stall in the men's room is to narrow for my chair.

Last night's death metal extravaganza at Scout Bar in Houston was nothing short of mind-melting brilliance, courtesy of the titans Suffocation, Incantation, and Skeletal Remains. The air was thick with anticipation as the crowd gathered, a motley crew of metalheads eager for a night of sonic obliteration. Skeletal Remains kicked things off with a ferocious intensity that set the tone for the evening. Their razor-sharp riffs and bone-crushing rhythms had the crowd headbanging in unison, proving that these guys are a force to be reckoned with in the death metal realm. The energy in the room was electric, and Skeletal Remains fueled the flames. Incantation took the stage like ancient demons summoned from the depths of hell. Their set was a visceral onslaught of guttural vocals and labyrinthine guitar work that transported the audience to a realm of darkness. The sheer sonic density of their performance was a testament to their legendary status in the death metal pantheon. And then came Suffocation, the undisputed kings of brutal death metal. From the moment they unleashed their first earth-shattering notes, the pit erupted into a chaotic frenzy. Ricky Meyers' guttural growls resonated like thunder, and the band's technical prowess left jaws on the floor. Frank would be proud. Suffocation's set was a masterclass in brutality, a sonic tempest that left everyone in the venue in awe. The Scout Bar may never be the same after hosting this triumvirate of death metal excellence. Suffocation, Incantation, and Skeletal Remains delivered a night of auditory pandemonium that will be etched into the memories of Houston's metal community for years to come. If you missed this show, you missed a journey to the very heart of death metal's ferocious soul.

Great place for live music. Thank the good lord for free parking! All of the tickets honestly are cheap and you really get to experience the music up close and personal. The drinks are made strong and there are lots of places to sit. They have tons of different bands playing all the time and a great selection of rock music. Overall the place is pretty clean and we had a great time seeing lots of amazing bands. They have a good security and nothing crazy broke out. Overall I would follow them and see who pops up for a performance. I would definitely go again.

Nice club. Feels safe. Bathrooms are clean (that's a huge plus!). My only bad note is that Lone Star is the same price as the fancy IPAs. That's dumb. So I just drank the fancy beers instead. Beer prices are around $8.25. I do love that they have lots of local beers. This is my 2nd or 3rd visit.

Scout bar was AWESOME! The food was REALLY good and the concert venue was amazing! The sound quality was excellent without blowing your ears out. The staff was kind and made the atmosphere great. The concert part of the venue was big enough for everyone to dance and enjoy but still allowed it to be an intimate setting. Great job, Scout Bar!

Scout Bar is THE spot in Houston to check out local bands. 94.5 the buzz hosts on certain nights and the place draws a crowd. My band has played there multiple times with our first time in 2013.

Lot of unknown bands play here so great experience if you're looking for new music. Only been once so far so can't be sure if this is normal but seating was very limited. Drinks were reasonably priced and decent food options.

I love their live music. I love the atmosphere but for warning if you have a card that you wanna use to buy anything and it doesn't have your name on it, they will not take the card period did you have an ATM so you can always pull cash out, but just keep in mind you need a card with your own name on it they are a really cool bar clean? Great company there's amazing people there I totally suggest going and the bartenders are really, really great and so I'm very informative so go check them out, tell me what you think I really really really loved it. I hope you.

Friendly bartenders and crowd. Stage and sound were great. It’s a bit of a drive for me, but worth the trek to see some quality live entertainment. Radio Duran and Route 101 really shined at this venue.

The bathrooms are in a weird spot. It's more of a music venue than a bar, so I understand. Great spot for rock and alternative artists. It's actually one of the very few spots on the southeast side of town. Two bars, a kitchen, and outside patio are very convenient.

This was my first time at Scout Bar for the Z-Ro performance. Everything was great 👍 the line to get in moved quickly and the security was friendly not rude like at some other establishments that don't normally host urban events. I was surprised about how big this place really is and my favorite spot was the huge outdoor patio with view of the water, AMAZING! Restrooms were very well kept 👌and the drinks were definitely on point and reasonable priced. Best of all free water dispenser and cups available without needing to ask bartenders 😉 I loved loved the entire show from the host to the opening acts and especially the main event, "The Mo-city Don" also known as my favorite "Mr. Rother Vandross!!" I loved every minute and he gave me everything I knew he would 💙

This place has great 80's tribute bands! I like that there is a less crowded area my friends and I can watch the band from. Another kind of cool thing is that a professional photographer will take your picture for $5 per print. So we've gotten great pics with our friends to put in a frame.
