We selected Mo's Irish Pub to celebrate St. Patrick's Day. Planning for 2 adults and a 7-year-old sometimes has it's complications, but Mo's was advertising Irish dancers and other ALL DAY entertainment, so we thought the venue would be perfect. We left disappointed. I will break this review down as so many factors play a part in only giving them 2 shamrocks (stars). To start, I will say the service was great, especially since it was SUPER busy! We had one main server and a helper server. Both were very attentive and handled 2 special requests. I asked for kiddie Sprite to be green and I asked for some beads for him to wear. All smiles and they seemed happy to accommodate. Now on to the low rating items. ENTERING: I researched this place ahead of time. I looked at the advertised entertainment, hours, menu and reviews. We went early in the day and was encouraged since we saw a line. A line to me means people are flocking to this place because it's good... not always the case. The line was for the entrance fee and filing out the paper slip for a drawing. Only $5 per person (not children), but nowhere on their website was this advertised. That's a big no-no. It was packed and loud, which is not their fault nor am I rating them on that factor, so I was really surprised we found a table so fast. FOOD: The food didn't really seem Irish for an Irish pub. The names were Irish, but I wouldn't classify the actual food as Irish. Secondly, you could tell items were cooking in batches ahead of time instead of as ordered because everything was lukewarm at best. We ordered onion rings for an appetizer - barely warm, the Reuben - cold, chicken tenders - cold, and a kiddie burger - barely warm. I think the food could have been fairly good, but without the temperature accurate, it's hard to tell. The Jamison dip they make special in house is additional $0.50 per tiny cup. That was not explained when offered. ENTERTAINMENT: We heard the DJ playing and I saw a cornhole game going on outside on the patio, but that was it. No Irish dancers as advertised, nothing Irish like the website noted. I would have never suggested this place for us with a 7-year-old if I would have known the dancers weren't happening. The only mention of a time frame on the website was for a band later in the evening. As stated earlier, we arrived mid-day, so if the band has a designated time and the other entertainment is stated as "ALL THROUGHOUT THE DAY", why wouldn't I think they would have at least performed once during our visit?! Maybe we missed this in our 2-hour visit?? We even made a pass through the restaurant before leaving hoping we had somehow missed the dancers. $5 per person for cold food and no entertainment. Not impressed. I can't imagine I will venture to this place again. If I do and feel it worthy to update with more shamrocks, I will do so. Until then, I feel $63.59 (without tip) for the nonsense above is ridiculous. I still tipped our server 22% because I felt she personally did a good job. I normally would not rate a place on a holiday situation, but there were so many things that were not right, it was just too much to overlook. *Website advertisement attached to add validity to my review.

It's hard to rate an "Irish pub" thats not very Irish. The food is mediocre but the bar is set up nice with lots of seating and plenty of TVs to watch sports. It has a franchise vibe and is good for a quick hang with your friends but it is not a "my hang out bar"

Service, what service? waited for over an hour for food we never got. Waitress dressed for strip club not a restaurant. Restaurant was Not busy. Tables dirty, booth seat broken. Manager not concerned about lack of service and totally clueless. Don't bother going and wasting your time.

I have been a fan of this place since day 1 but it has been going downhill the last couple of years. I thought last year was the last straw. Details of that review remain below. Tonight: 2 bartenders and about 8 people at the bar, about another 8 people total in the restaurant. We ordered spinach artichoke dip. About 25 minutes later we were presented with a plate of cold corn chips and an iron skillet containing almost entirely boiled spinach, dry and burnt around the top edges with a sprinkling of parmesan cheese and diced tomatoes. The server apologized profusely and he said he understood as we refused the order. We replaced it with onion rings. The server said "yeah, they shouldn't be able to mess that up". And yet what we received 20 minutes later was about 7 or 8 onion rings fused by fried batter into 2 big clumps of mess. After waiting with an empty beer glass for about 10 minutes, I called the bartender over for another beer. Both bartenders had walked by the empty glass multiple times at that point. I was hoping things had turned around here but sadly, it has not. An inspection of the restrooms revealed there has been no improvement in cleanliness there either. Mold and dirt on the air vents, accumulated dust on fixtures and surfaces. The food pictures in my review are from years past when the kitchen was much better run and consistent than currently. From last year: Today might be the last straw. We were the first people to walk in at opening at 3pm on Monday. We were told by the bartender Guinness wasnt available and the taps hadn't been working since Saturday. The bathrooms were in a disgusting state with hair and algae growth in the sink, dirt and dust on the flushing fixtures, dirt and what appears to be mold on the air vents. Needless to say we left without ordering.

2023- Fathers Day. What a difference a year makes. Good service. Good food. As a former Wisconsin resident, it was good to see the flags of Wisconsin sports teams on display. Enjoyed the family time at a casual place. Had the $5 breakfast special, salmon with rice and mashed potato's, and jalapeno grilled cheese. Started off with some cheese curds which drew the curiosity of nearby tables. 2022- Understaffed on fathers day. Many open tables, however none were cleared. Waited 33 minutes for the table to be seated. Then when we were seated ordered sodas and didn't get them in 15 minutes, so we just ended up leaving. Mo's is a great place to go to...we believe we just chose a bad day.

What a great dining experience. The food and drinks were delicious and the service was outstanding. If you visit, ask to sit in Abby’ s section. She is a bubbly, personable server who takes great care of her customers. Frank the manager is awesome as well. Highly recommended any day of the week.

Our son, daughter-in-law and grandbaby visited Mo's with us and enjoyed it. We shared an order of Wisconsin fried cheese curds....these were amazing. We tried everybody's stuff and liked them. A couple fish and chips were disassembled posthaste, one sheperd's pie met the same fate, I did a Philly cheesesteak and it was 3 stars. Our son tried an Irish beer called Smithwicks, it was very smooth and tasty, I went with a very hoppy Karbach's Hoppadillo. The fish came with cole slaw, fries and rye bread, the fish paired well with the malt vinegar.

Great food, great service and great drinks. The staff was so attentive at the bar. I was never left wanting. I had to ask for nothing at any point of my night. There was always a bartender asking me(not over asking either which can a nuisance) if i needed something at the appropriate times. This was the first bar that i came to when moving to Texas and the last when i moved back to AZ recently. I had the buffalo salad and a few coctails and a delicious stout beer. Thanks for the service. When im back in the area, ill be stopping by again!

While not a traditional Irish pub, the place is a cool little place to hang out, watch the ball game and have some fair-priced drinks. The food is pretty good for being bar food. I particularly enjoy the large pretzel with cheese while watching the game. The beer selection is not the greatest, from what my beer aficionado friend tells me. I drink liquor and they have all the normal stuff you'd expect from a bar. The staff is great! The bartenders are all friendly and attentive each time we go there. There has never been a huge crowd when we go. We like that as they usually have excellent 80s-90s music playing at a good volume where you can sit there and have a conversation without shouting and still enjoy the music or games that are on the multiple screens. I gave it a 4 star review because their food is not the greatest, and we've had a couple of things that were not very good at all, in our opinion. Someone should do a better job with some of those menu items. You don't have to have a large menu, but what is on the menu should be nothing less than excellent. Nevertheless, we always have a good time.

Renee is always awesome! Her service is always great! My Husband and me come here (and been coming here for years, although we live in Sugar Land) and since Renee entered our lives here, it has been AMAZING!! She is always got a great big smile on her face, even if she is slammed bus, we (or no other customers) have waited on anything!! Also we have noticed that also since we have been coming here after meeting her, this place is CLEAN, and the food is great, but the SERVICE by her and her teammates is GREAT!!! We are going to make sure our friends start checking it out!!

Great place good prices nice and clean. Drinks are good and reasonable. We go here pretty regularly, it's like a family there. Very comfortable. The staff is amazing! Great drink specials on Wednesday and the day bartender on Thursday and Friday is the BEST! Can't really go wrong with and of the selection , but the locals are the best. The bartender know almost every drink and pours good drinks

We stopped by on a very busy day as the Astros were playing the Mariners and Tennessee was beating Alabama. The food and the service was great despite being so busy. FYI they have the best cheese curds in town. It's well run, friendly servers, great food are all readons to stop.

The steak skillet was really good. I loved the french dip sandwich. My only issue was with the chicken and rice soup which I really did not like. The server was nice. The place was busy and had only two servers but they were trying their best and were kinda fast.

The family and I went for at late dinner and we stopped here at Mo's because we heard the had Double Cheeseburger and fries for $5. Of course I thought it was gonna be a dime size burger and a few fries. LOW AND BEHOLD the burger was well justified and yes there's enough fries(could have be a little hotter) other than that I definite must try. As a added bonus there is a waitress is is very pleasant and will make your visit there feel much appreciated and welcome her name is "Sierra"

this was my first visit here and not sure why it took me so long to come, will definitely be back. I visited the Katy location and sat outside since it was a beautiful day/weekend and they have a large nice covered patio. I was craving a burger and it was big could barely finish it came with fries as well especially you can choose regular fries or sweet potato. it was all good. service here was great as well, very friendly staff

We decided to try Moe's after the movies, and what a wonderful experience. Food was fresh and hot. Service was probably the best we've had in quite awhile. Our server was extremely attentive, polite and friendly. She kept an eye on our drinks, sent off dessert orders, etc. She made us feel welcome. We all know how hard it is to find competent and positive help. I hope you appreciate Mo, she is absolutely fabulous!

Came at 1:00 on a Tuesday afternoon with 3 friends and was pleasantly surprised with what I ended up ordering. I went with one of the lunch specials which was 3 delicious fried chicken tenders and fries for only $4.99 Amazing bang for the buck and it was delicious on top of that. I would make a special trip for this lunch deal. I’ll be back for sure. The McCarthy’s

So we come here at least once month today, worse service ever, as in no service. As always Sat outside, no one came, got our own drinks, twice, order our own meal, we even told staff no one was waiting on us, still no service. Had to go ask for the food we ordered. It came wrong too, said no jalepeno came with it and half the sandwich was jalapeno. Biggest let down ever here. Will think again before return.

One of my favourite spots in Katy, Mo’s Irish Pub is the place to go, whenever you want to have a good time, a variety of drinks is available, staff is friendly, atmosphere is great and you get to watch sports while having a bite, the food is not to my liking and the quality of the meals should be elevated a little bit, other than that, it’s a great place to hangout any time/any day of the week

Excellent service. our server, Mathew, was so attentive and had great suggestions. They have a great atmosphere and the food... yummy. I ordered the Jameson salmon and it was really fantastic, my veggies were fresh and crisp, my potatoes were delectable with a lovely sprinkling of sea salt. I ate everything and that's not the norm for me! I think I'll be here more often!

Went for sunday brunch(ish). No wait to be seated, simple thermometer check and we were seated right away. Best onion rings anywhere. All of the food was great. Only negative was the bartenders were not as attentive as they could have been, and they were not overly busy. Forgot to put in our appetizer order, which happens. Then said he would comp the 1st round of drinks, but he forgot to do that as well. Not a huge deal, and we will definitely return. Lots of TVs for sports (if that's ever a reality again).

Great place to meet friends or coworkers for happy hour. Plenty of TV's to watch a game and the bar staff is knowledgeable and friendly. They have a large patio area and live music out on the patio. The food is decent and tends to be standard bar fare with an Irish twist. Last thing to note, if you are a family, it is definitely a place you can bring the kids for a meal without feeling guilty about bringing them to a bar.
