So we did guys night out last night and we had an awesome time! Our waiter did a great job and we loved the food!! I ordered the Ponchatrain dish and the Bananas foster for dessert. The dessert was so good I wanted to bribe the waiter for the recipe. Yes it was that good!! I’ve been here a few times before and it was impeccable service every single time. Hands down one of my favorite restaurants in all of Houston!!! Highly recommend!!!!!

Meh! We made a reservation and was seated immediately upon arrival. The atmosphere was really nice. You only have two options for parking. Park on the busy street or Valet ($5). Our waiter was really nice. The food was just okay. I didn't get the New Orleans flavor. The food was lacking creole style spices. The best part of the meal was the roasted tomatoes and the pralines. Cost around $130

Excellent service, great food, amazing environment. We had a great brunch experience with family and friends here. The staff was outstanding and very understanding of a couple that were seriously delayed in our party. Very happy with the experience and hopefully will come here soon for a dining experience.

I can’t stop bragging on this place! This evening was everything a girl could dream of for the most romantic date. The ambiance, staff, cleanliness, food experience, price everything was executed perfectly. You can absolutely tell the owners take pride in this establishment and it definitely showed. We will be returning soon. All my life we have lived in Houston and can believe we never knew about this gem.

I have to say this is one of the best meals I've had in quite some time. We had a reservation, so there was no wait time, and everyone was extremely friendly and patient because being that my parents are older, they take a little more time and help, and my mom had a thousand questions. The food was amazing, and the experience was great because they had a way of making us feel like we were the only table that mattered, and yet they took care of each table in the same way. We had an amazing time, and I definitely plan to go back, and I would recommend if you haven't tried it yet, you absolutely should. We couldn't have picked a better place to celebrate my mom's 79th birthday! 👍🏾👍🏾

You can never go wrong with Brendan’s of Houston Downtown or Memorial location I love the environment at the Memorial location the outdoor is amazing, DT is cozy and the food and drinks are just amazing. One of my favorite places to dine out .

I had a wonderful dinner with my parents at this restaurant. The service was very attentive, the food was delicious. There is a very good selection of wines, spirits and cocktails. I was able to sample 3 different desserts, and my absolute favorite was bread pudding souffle (you have to wait 30 minutes for it to be prepared though). As far as parking is concerned, there is a valet service that only costs $5. Overall, this was a great experience, and I highly recommend it.

Came here for a friend's birthday brunch and absolutely loved it. Our waiter Joe was very personable and made us laugh quite a bit. We came during Houston Restaurant Week and I ordered Brennan's Boudin for my appetizer, for my main course I had Shrimp and Grits. The boudin was one large ball which isn't what I was expecting, but it was so delicious! The shrimp and grits were amazing as well. My friend had Bananas Foster for dessert and they cook it in front of your table which I thought was pretty cool! Another employee named Brandon cooked it for us and he did excellent!

Dynamite atmosphere and eloquent ambience! However, the food was cold and lacked seasoning and taste. Just average and very expensive to be that tasteless!!! Food looked wayyyy better than it taste! Staff provided excellent service unmatched to the lack luster food. The drink were not good either!

Our sweet friend hosted a ladies' luncheon here to celebrate friendship the day before her wedding. It was fantastic. A beautiful private dining room. Wonderful, attentive service. Delicious food!

We came for the banana foster and it did not disappoint. This is the kind place you come for the service experience. It was impeccable. Our server Derek was very friendly and the young guys who refilled our drink was very friendly and on point as well. This place has a very romantic atmosphere. I did add salt to my lamb chop, but when service is great you overlook the small stuff. The turtle soup was great. We will be coming back next time we are in Houston!

We traveled from Dallas and attempted three other breakfast spots before we ended up at Brennan’s. Super impressed! Miguel was friendly and personable. Jalynn had such a warm and compassionate personality. Thank you to Julie for coming by the table to check on our experience. You all made my morning special. The food was made with loving hands. I had the 1-1-1 soup: turtle, gumbo and tomato. Delicious! The waffle sweet potato fries were crispy & the portion was good. My hubby had the steak with poached egg and fried oyster. This was my first time trying oyster and again, IMPRESSED. The chef was nice enough to make hubby a couple of pancakes even though they weren't on the menu. Miguel suggested a gin drink that was spicy and refreshing. Overall 10/10 experience for me. Valet was only $5 & they were gentlemen as well. We will be back! Food was amazing and fresh! Our waiters were excellent! The atmosphere was intimate and elegant. Kid friendly too! The interior looks reminded me of the French quarters back home in New Orleans. 10/10 definitely recommend!

Went for my birthday and the food was absolutely amazing!!! It was well seasoned, great selection and the wait staff was awesome. I will definitely come back again, this place is a must try..❤️❤️❤️

We enjoyed a variety of things that were good/flavorful including crabcakes, Mac n cheese, gumbo, quail beignet and bread pudding souffle. Service was good, I want to highlight the extra service and care provided by Ramon, very friendly and attentive. The ambience is nice! Only thing I wouldn't order again was the fried green tomatoes.

My rating is entirely based off the food and not the service. Unfortunately our server was terrible, he was not friendly and was very awkward and quick with us - I’m giving the benefit of the doubt that he could’ve been having a bad day, unfortunately I did not catch his name (he didn’t even introduce himself), I personally work in the service industry and just found his mannerisms unfit for this establishment. When it comes to the food, I was blown away. I feel as though it’s hard to find authentic delicious gumbo and my partner and I found it to be fantastic (Brennan’s Gumbo Du Jour). My partner is of Cajun decent and is very particular about gumbo. I ordered the Gulf Fish Pontchartrain and found it exquisite with many complimenting flavors. My partner ordered some lamb chops which were really good. Dessert was excellent, we got the Banana Fosters and it was served to us with a little show. I do plan on returning soon and I hope the service is better. Excellent food! This review is based off of my experience on February 26, arriving at 8pm.

I am from New Orleans, I live in Dallas. Every time I get a chance to visit Houston family, I go to lunch or dinner at Brennan's!! This restaurant is authentic and perfect!! Wonderful menu!! The gumbo tasted like my Mothers' Outstanding!! Libations are perfect as is the Bread pudding soufflé ♥️

Dining experience at Brennan’s was exquisite. A friend and I dined here for the 1st time for HRW, and we’re so glad we did. The service/staff was impeccable from start to finish - valet, the hostess, our waiters Morgan and Rico took great care of us. If you want to treat yourself to a little lux dining experience, try Brennan’s and take photos in the courtyard. Rico’s energy was awesome!! 🔥🔥

I don't think anywhere in the world and find better service than at Brennan's, They are not stars to give the staff at Brennan's they are amazing and know your every need before you even say it. The food was great. I would definitely go back. Had a wonderful birthday dinner for my husband here

It was an absolutely wonderful experience! We had a brunch here, all foods are good especially the grilled salmon.The atmosphere is wonderful and even have a band came around to sing. Definitely worth a try.

The food was so good. The three course meal had some great options. This was my first time having beignets and I was left very impressed. The shrimp and grits was the best. Do mind the dress code and go all out!

We celebrated our 4th wedding anniversary here and loved it. It was quite, pleasant and food was great. I am from New Orleans and I really appreciated the service putting forth the effort to be so kind and attentive. Everyone came and wished us! The vibe is so cozy and romantic. The high back chairs make it easy to have a intimate conversation. If I’m being honest the food could be improved. We ordered charbroiled oysters. They serve during lunch, not dinner but the chef was kind enough to make some for us. It was not charred. The soups were great and so were the entrees. For reference The one with the red sauce the wood grill fish Orange sauce is the gulf fish pontchartrain Tip- there is a baby changing station in the bathroom All in all is a great place to spend a special evening

Brennan's of Houston is an institution. For 55 years it's been a go to staple for many Houstonians, either for business lunches, celebrations, or their famous jazz brunch. Their Menu is seasonally changing but it's famous for many staples. It is the go to place for Classic Dishes like Seafood Towers, Alligator Snapping Turtle Soup, Chicken Pontabla, Shrimp Chippewa and Bananas Foster. But it is also known for new classics like their Legendary Crawfish Enchilada. If you've never been check it out.

Best pork chop dish I've ever tasted, topped with crawfish. Order a dash of extra sherry on your snapping turtle soup! Filet great, crab cakes delish, Gulf shrimp on grits rich flavor. Desserts all rock.

An excellent fine dining experience in Houston. Perfect for classic service and fine unique dishes. Turtle Soup complemented with the sherry wine was excellent as well as the Filet which was cooked perfectly with a nice flavorful crust. On top of that, the banana’s foster, which was created by this restaurant was phenomenal! 10/10 recommend!
