👍👍 My first time here I had Sam as my bartender, and the bar back was a redhead with a cute gay haircut. They are the dream team! Sam was so sweet and so efficient, especially for a Saturday, and remember my drink! I will be coming back for them and the patio. I have found my bar <3 People often mention Irish, great, good, drinks, night,

The bartender that works Monday nights here has the worst attitude. I thought the first time maybe she was having a bad day, but I've gone twice now and same thing. Not friendly. Cold stare as you walk in. Not very helpful. I noticed another review mentions her attitude as well. Too bad bc it's been a cool place to go for so many years.

Super neat and comfortable place. Looks great after the renovations. Plenty of space, comfortable lounge chairs, you can even play Mario Cart 8 on the big screen along with more traditional board games. A very genuine and pleasant place to relax with friends or unwind after work.

We were the first ones in on a Friday at a little after 4pm. Looked like a great place and the bartender greeted us and made us feel right at home. As each person came in after us, she greeted them by name and poured them their usual. Definitely a neighborhood bar. Classy, Irish atmosphere with several different seating areas, darts, ping pong and several TVs. Looking forward to coming back!

We go here for D&D every Sunday. They have an Irish Folk music group that practices there and they sound so lovely. The bar tenders are always very kind and create the most innovative drinks. We had this one with peanut butter whiskey that tasted like a PB&J.

I give it 4.5. I'd give it a 5 if I lived in the neighborhood. But lonely location. Old type neighborhood pub and 3 restaurants just doors away. Good place to sit outside with a dog. With heat lamps also. Smithicks and Guinness on tap.

I run open mic on Thursdays and it's been a blast working there.

Great happy hour specials. Slow dough pretzels. Attentive staff. Friendly regulars. All the sports. Golden tee. This place is awesome. Karaoke Monday night with DJ Andi Pantz and Haliey crushing it behind the bar. Trivia on Tuesday. Thursday steak night. Sunday Irish tunes and D&D with the circle of BarHaven. Kitchen is limited so you can order delivery which is huge. But the best part is the laid back vibe.

Really cool vibe. The cool guy behind the bar really is attentive to the clients. Heard he can sing too! It's the kind of place that you could just go chill and be alone or converse with the crowd. It's not pretentious at all. Good drinks and reasonable prices. Looking forward to going back!

Really fun pub with copious outdoor sitting areas and a great vibe. Excellent menu and great cocktails - but one star off for having the non-alcoholic cocktails the same prices as those with alcohol. Come on! Otherwise everything was great and would return - probably on a Tuesday for the trivia.

Walked into this bar one night and found out they do Karaoke every Monday night! So cool, I love this place. Everyone is so friendly, especially the bartender Hailey !! The outside patio is nice as well, love the vibe!

Nice place if you want just drinks. Never thought I would go to an Irish Pub and not get real Irish Pub food. Pizza, Pretzel or cookie???? Pizza was ok because we were really hungry. Music was really loud and we moved to a different area where it wasn’t so loud. I have been to Irish pubs all across America and this one is ok if you just want drinks and a nice place to hang out outdoors but don’t come here hungry. The only thing Irish is the name and that they have Guinness and Jameson. Will continue looking to find a true Irish pub in Houston.

This neighborhood gem is great for many reasons. They have 2 golden tee machines which is nice. The Pretzel is AMAZING! The staff is super friendly and willing to get ya what ya need. Parking is easy and they have live music on occasion as well.

This place used to be another pub but it's still welcoming and offers plenty of games to play. Large outdoor area. Plenty of alternatives for inside seating.

Bartender was drunk and did not remember I ordered a drink and that he took my card. When I asked for my card back, he said he gave my card to “my friends”. Soon after that he got aggressive and attempted to jump the bar to punch me breaking glasses in the process. Other employees grabbed him before he jumped over the bar to fight me and took him back. Never got my card back. The employees of the bar were celebrating the moment as my grouped walked out. Excellent bar if you are looking for that type of vibe!

It's an all right place - it's not, like, *amazing* or anything, but the drinks are good and cheap (for the area), the service is acceptable, and it's never crowded (that I've seen, anyway.) It's like a smaller Grand Prize. Go there for the D&D night on Sunday (I think), and karaoke on Mondays, starting at 9pm.

Last weekend, my sister (The Cisco Kid) and I were visiting Houston from Minnesota and decided to stop in for a drink, we definitely made the right choice! The staff here are amazing and you feel welcome the minute you step through the door. In addition to the hospitality, they make sure you never go thirsty and know how to pour a proper pint. As I freeze my backside in the icy north country, my heart is warmed by the memories at the Penny Whistle Pub. We can't wait to visit again the next time we're in Houston.

Awesome atmosphere. The bartender was good maybe a little overwhelmed at times but she was pretty good. I'll be back

The typical sports bar atmosphere, can't go wrong if you wanna catch a game. The bartenders were pretty great, and never went thirsty.

Small parking lot, but there are additional lots in the area, to park at. Nice deck area outside, cool green lights at night. Food is available from local sources, you may want to eat before arriving. Nice Irish look, cozy feel. The crowd varies, but you can make friends here. Touch tune jukebox, dart board, ping pong table, karaoke Monday. Supreme beer and spirit selection. There's always Katz, afterwards!😜👍

I went here for a friend's birthday tonight and had a great time! The staff was friendly, the drinks were good, and everyone seemed to be having a good time. I recommend coming here if you are looking for a nice bar with a relaxed atmosphere to have a drink with your friends.
