🌟👏🏻 First of all, there's no way to not like everything about the Irish! This place is very special, beautiful decor, the view and location is one of my favorites, it's absolutely divine! The menu is of high quality, delicious! The staff is always very kind and caring! It's a place that you're sure to only have a great and fun time! And most importantly, these days, very safe! So it's just perfect place!

We haven’t been to Goose’s Acre in about 10 years no reason other than we just haven’t been back but what I can say is we will definitely be back very soon! My husband got the fish and chips with apple coleslaw and it’s was so good! I’m not a fan of coleslaw but the apple coleslaw was surprisingly good. I had the Jameson French toast and it was delicious! They have a great brunch menu with $5 mimosas and 1 free kids meal with a purchase of an adult meal. Which was a pleasant surprise. Great service, I didn’t catch the waitress name but she was very friendly and attentive. After we finished eating and had paid out check we stayed at the table talking and visiting with family for about 30 minutes or so and it was nice to not be rushed out. Would definitely recommend.

We came in for an early dinner on a Saturday evening and were greeted by the hostesses. One was very kind, but hard to hear. The other walked us, very slowly, to our table, and even though she'd spent several minutes getting the menus together at the front door, she'd brought one dinner menu and one brunch menu. When she returned with the correct menus 5 minutes late and we asked if we could move over one table for a more private spot with a better view, she didn't answer, but muttered to herself while setting up the table. It was a strange interaction, but the new table was worth it: we watched as the sun set and the lights came on on the Waterway. Our server was a delight, though and paced her visits to our table nicely. We started with the buffalo cauliflower wings: cornmeal battered and very tasty. I ordered the Goose's Acre Signature Salad. All of the ingredients were fresh and delicious and paired perfectly. My husband ordered the Fish and Chips: perfectly cooked fish with a light crispy tempura batter. The coleslaw looked weird and was mid, as was the brussel sprout side. The Pellegrino came in a bottle and was so refreshing and bubbly.

Kitchen open till 1am on a Saturday night was great. Service and food were great. Enjoyed sitting on the patio having an after concert dinner at a surprisingly affordable price. We will be back. 07/2023 update: a group of 20 met here before concert....this is our absolute top spot from here on out. Waitress was patient even though we waited an extra 30 minutes for final guest to arrive. It was a great all around experience on the shaded patio. Love this place!

Excellent Irish Pub on The Woodlands Waterway. The Irish empanadas were yummy and the Whiskey-Soaked Braised Short Rib was superb. 👌🏼

Great pub. Food was awesome. Had house french onion dip, cedar plank salmon, and wagu build your own burger. All great. Really good Mules to drink. Highly recommend.

Good eating establishment. I ordered the Mac & Cheese with added grilled chicken plate and the Salmon plate. Both were great. My only knock would be that the Salmon was slightly over cooked. My server Chance was great, very attentive! Would highly recommend.

Beautiful, relaxing view! We ate the sampler platter, the Irish nachos were the best item on the dish. A must have next visit.

Dined here on a work recommendation and it was a great referral. The atmosphere and staff was very attentive. Our Server, Ashton was outstanding. He is very personable! . The food was very well done. The fish & chips special with a side of apple slaw was worth every penny! I also had some of the sirloin and potato soup which was a warm flavorful taste of comfort food! Must experience this restaurant when in the Houston area.

The food was great. Our server was pretty good but seemed preoccupied. We had the cheese sticks, soft pretzel, chips and dip, and the hummus. All were delightful. The fish and chips are definitely something to write home about. Corn beef and cabbage were cooked perfectly. The flat iron steak and vegetables were cooked correctly and nicely seasoned. We sat outside with a nice view of the waterway and some apartments, lol. Inside had a cool pub feel, but the patronage wasn't necessarily our vibe. A little uppity so it wasn't as comfortable.

The staff was amazing! Our waiter would check on us often to see when we were ready and if we needed anything. The lighting and atmosphere was warm and welcoming. The food was absolutely to die for. Especially their mazarella sticks. It's very much worth the prices. Their cheeseburger pizza was also delicious. The drink had a slice of lemon and it was the freshest lemon I had ever had. I 100% recommend this place. There was also something like karaoke downstairs and it was fun to listen to.

I was told this was the best calamari.... I beg to differ. My husband wasnt a fan of the Irish nachos but they were not bad. The atmosphere is great, perfect location. The drinks were lovely. I would go back to try a different dish for sure. A great place for date night

Lunch: We had extremely high hopes for this pub. The atmosphere was fantastic. The server, Meagan, was friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive without hovering, which we greatly appreciated. The Jumbo Soft Pretzel was perfectly named, tasted good with a great mouth feel. My husband advised that his Original Burger was above average. My Shepherd's Pie was lackluster. While the flavor and texture of the sirloin, veg, and gravy was satisfying, the mash was subpar being runny and without texture. Thirty seconds under a salamander or a Brule torch would have upgraded the entire dish. Dessert: After our show, we returned for dessert. They weren't really busy but our waiter, Reginald, seemed quite overwhelmed. He actually dropped my husband's dessert onto the table where it splashed off the plate, he then had to wait a full 10 minutes for a replacement. The Brownie Sunday my husband ordered claimed to be served with Guinness ice cream and while it looked a bit tan he thought it just tasted like vanilla bean ice cream. They didn't offer a dessert that intrigued me so I opted for the charcuterie board. It was extremely disappointing especially at the price point. While we will probably return in the future because it is a short walk along the Waterway from the Marriott where we stay when we attend shows at the Pavilion, it will probably be for a pretzel and a drink afterwards. I also want to mention that they have an elevator but it didn't seem to be a wheelchair friendly establishment. We did not go upstairs, maybe it is more accommodating.

Another place we have been to before and as last time this place did not disappoint. We got that at a good time, they were busy but the bar had seating. They take the seating away after a certain time to make it easier for customers to order drinks or I think that is why and then they moved us to a table. Seating at the bar was great, service was amazing. At the table we didn't require any service as we were on our last drinks. We ordered the Maui Tuna appetizer, out of the park good. I would order that every time we went.

Family favorite. Everyone loves the food. EVEN THE PICKY KID! Sit on patio and people watch on the waterway. Bamg Bang shrimp tacos. Tuna poke tower. Calamari. Reuben. Wings. Salads. OMG Burgers. Wedge fries. shepherds pie. meatloaf. We know St Patty is the best but after 2 PM it’s 21 and above. Otherwise family friendly with two levels of seating. Wish they would not allow smoking on patio as it does ruin the outdoor experience …but when do smokers care about anyone else? only bummer of eating on patio.

So sadly this review is based more on post visit experiences rather than when actually at the restaurant. I had chicken tender meal and both my compatriots had chicken sandwiches. All the meals were rather tasty and the service was very good. We all however experienced upset stomachs that night and the following day. So sadly I have made the assumption that it was caused here as it’s the only time we were all together eating. I don’t have a picture but the coors pint that I had was a sad pint that went flat very quickly which wasn’t ideal. I’m hoping my experience was a one off.

The best place I have dined in with my man!! Has a really chill fun vibe, while enjoying dinner with friends. Our service was provided by Chance, and he is just awesome. He was accommodating, respectful and kind throughout the service. He checked on us every couple minutes to make sure that we were doing okay. Food was amazing too, we ordered shrimp platter, whiskey steak ribs plate and Caesar salad!! Everything was just perfect. We were welcomed in, we had the chance to speak to manager and he made sure our evening was well attended. I would 100% recommend this place. You can sit out next to the water and enjoy the scenery or sit inside and enjoy their music. Thank you

Great place to grab lunch or relax on the balcony on a nice afternoon. Evening guitarist and drinks are also a super way to go. Food is good, prices fair, and service has been great.

Really liked the food. We went back because it was so good. And service was great. Atmosphere was as you expect an irish pub to be.

Good service but food is subpar. Ordered the margerita pizza and it was bland. Salmon was also bland. Goose burger was mediocre. I usually don’t mind spending money on good food, but this was overpriced. Try another restaurant.

Great little Irish Pub overlooking the water. We had the fish and chips and a fantastic Wagyu burger. The service was nice and the happy hour specials were great for beer drinkers. We'll definitely return! There's several things on the menu we want to try.

Very good food and okay service...enjoyed the fish and chips and big pretzel. Good cheese sauce. Many good beers on tap.

Such an amazing staff and food is really good. Had a little bit of a few appetizers. The pretzel 🤯 the pictures doesn’t show it cause we devoured it. Tuna Poke finger licking good, they drizzled honey on the plate, what!!!!! Mozzarella sticks, just perfectly fried and so tasty. The calamari, I loved the jalapeño touch. Kids burgers were a good size and my son’s pepperoni 🍕 legit.

I ordered a takeout meal for lunch today that consisted of the devilled eggs and shepherd's pie. This was a hit and miss experience. Let's start off with the miss, the devilled eggs. I love the idea of what they are trying to accomplish here. Devilled eggs topped with fried chicken in a bed of fried onion straws and chopped fresh and grilled onions. The chicken was good and the fried onions were fantastic. But the eggs themselves were not that great. They just didn't have much flavor. I would venture to say I make better devilled eggs at home, albeit not as exciting to look at. The hit though was the shepherd's pie. It was delish. Mashed potatoes were perfect. Veggies were cooked perfectly and the meat was quite tasty. Highly recommend it. Overall, I would say it's a win and I would recommend coming here. Although, for $25, it might not be the best value.
