This location is disgusting and poorly managed. We had a reservation but chose to sit at a regular table. The tables around us were disgusting, never cleaned off or wiped down. The guests that were waiting for their table were allowed to use this area as a waiting area basically, so there were like 20-50 people standing around our table just talking and waiting for the majority of our time there, which made eating and enjoying our meal in peace impossible. Our server was covering several stations by himself, so he was distant, sweaty, and tired. When we finally got our food, there was something weird and fried in my noodles that was not a part of my dish, so that’s a little gross. There was mold EVERYWHERE. On the ceilings, in the light fixtures. It was a very chaotic, nerve wracking experience that was not worth the $150 we spent for our meal. The entire experience felt similar to going to a fast food restaurant in a college town at 2 AM. I recommend someone from a food inspector business and Benihana corporate get go this location because it was so unpleasant and gross.

First off we were seated in an area where the roof was leaking and there were buckets placed to catch the dripping water! Unacceptable, we asked to be loved. Second we were given a new cook and even though his personality was great the cooking of our food not so good. My steak was over cooked and the veggies were charred and over cooked. The tables are old which is understandable but the dirt and left over food was absolutely horrible. The waitress was the best thing going that night, very attentive and accommodating.

Came mid day and sat in the bar area. Ceilings have what appears to be mold and/or dirt. There were multiple gnats flying around. Didn’t get water until we asked for it. Food was okay but I have had better. Overall, a bland experience. Restaurant could use a deep cleaning and possible renovations, in addition to more attentive staff.

2023: August! Went back and again & man this is the 15th time I’ve been, they never disappoint!! It’s always good service! Hard working people! It’s definitely a vibe!! Had a table with all adults!! It’s cool to sit next to strangers and eat! Now it was HOT 👀 ION know if it was the temperature 🤒 outside or just hot in the building but whewww!! We was sweating lol! But we still had fun!! I hope when you get the experience u get a great shelf and waitress! They make the experience better!! 2022: Make sure to sign up in advance for your chefs table (birthday gift) it’s really a complete meal! Which is definitely an awesome experience! I’ve been here 4-5 times in the past few years! Every time it’s always always always a good experience! The chefs are awesome, staff is always friendly, & the waitress are pretty good as well. The food is always amazing! SN: if you never been, don’t get the steamed rice, get THE FRIED RICE! THATS THE RICE PREPARED in front of you. It’s an extra ($4.50) charge per person! But well worth it because you get the shrimp/chicken fried rice! An average meal is $30, drink about $4-5! If you like steak, I love the teriyaki steak! It’s really sweet! Ohhh and allll first timers, ASK FOR THE YUM YUM SAUCE! It’s amazing wit the steak! I don’t drink and eat but I heard the bar is pretty awesome as well! Make reservations and save yourself time! And make them 30 mins later than when you want to arrive to give yourself time to park and go in! After 5 the parking is free but you must get the ticket validated before you leave!! And that’s all folks!!! It’s a fun environment for kids, BUT, really an adult place! Leave screaming babies at home!

We waited for over an hour for our table even though we had a reservation for 8:45. If we hadn’t paid for parking we would have left. I’m addition to that it was very very hot in the restaurant. With a restaurant full of hot grills you would think that they would have a better AC system. And to top it off we finally got sat and we didn’t have a server for 20 minutes. I had to get up and go find someone and it turns out the server saw us and had no idea what her tables were to begin with. We also waited 10 minutes for just our regular sodas to come out. Wouldn’t recommend. We are not still sitting here at 10:15 no soup not salad and we just got out drinks. It is now 2 hours later and the chef just put something on the grill. The server also had a bad attitude and talked about other guests and her money in front of us. Very unprofessional.

They took almost 1 hour to start making our food. This was my first time coming to this location and definitely my last. We almost walked out this place like the couple next to us did.

DO NOT, DO NOT come to this place to eat. I’ve never had hibachi cooked and there is hair in my food! I could’ve vomited on the entire griddle because I had already started eating my food. I expressed to the manager that I was here celebrating my birthday and comping the food that was already free wasn’t enough. Not even apologetic. No explanation. Please look closely if you plan to eat here. After reading the other reviews, I’m not even surprised. Disgusting!

Food and preparation were great. The taste of our food was amazing. We had a really good Mojito that was strong and tasty. Besides our waitress taking forever to come back to our table for minor things. We overall had a great dinner.

This location should be shut down by the health department. My visit there was a nightmare. The people next to us had a bug in their drink, it was gnats flying everywhere and the manager was perfectly fine with it when the other guest complained. The grill was filthy when we arrived with old food from previous guest. I won’t be returning and I will be calling the health department tomorrow.

I almost didn't go because of the reviews, but I'm glad I did. I had excellent service and the food portions are hearty! The atmosphere was a very pleasant bonus. Prices are reasonable too. The server Vanessa, took good care of me and was quick. She checked in often. The chef for the table service was Elias(I think that how you spell it). He was talented and made the dinner a lot of fun. Glad I went

I love this place. We visited spur of the moment for lunch and it's never disappoints. They have a lunch menu available too. It wasn't crowded at all. However, I didn't like that I had to pay for my parking. It was $12.

Absolutely great service and food! We had an awesome time. Tyrell and Trey were great people. Friendly and quick service. Edwin was amazing too! Don’t forget to visit Alaska!

Food was Delicious! Our Chef Julio was amazing! I’ll be back soon. While we were waiting to be seated Sharon was amazing checking on us she was the best! My drink was very good as well.

Overall, Benihana is a good meal, but not GREAT. If you want a show, this this is perfect, because you're definitely paying for the experience. If not, there are other places with better food. The service sometimes takes forever, because they have to seat several parties, some who may be scheduled by appointment. The cocktails were pretty good, kinda pricey, especially because they don't necessarily have a signature drink. Quantity of food is also part of the price. Ended up spending over $200 for two people. We had two drinks a piece and were able to take a large amount home for a second dive. Besides the show, the restaurant's environment is pretty blah. For those who prefer an intimate setting, it works, but I don't even recall hearing soft music.

Let me start with the staff great personality smiles everywhere. The waiter has on point he would.npt let your drinks get low anytime something was needed he was right there. The cook had a great personality he was good but this is where the flavors were not the same as before. December 2022 this place and the food was amazing. For me it was the place to experience a great show delicious food and a great atmosphere. Fast-forward to 10/13/23 this is almost not the same place, not the same flavors, experience or quality. The quality has dropped significantly. Prior to this visit on 10/13/23 the 20+ visits here were identical amazing food service and show. Now the flavors are not the same, it leaves you wanting the previous experience and flavors. If it is your first time the flavors are good. If you have been here before you will be disappointed. In it's current state it does not match it's previous experience, food, or cleanliness.

Our waitress, Francesca, was extremely helpful and friendly throughout the ordering process. The chef was super talented and the food was delicious. The manager visited to sing happy birthday to my daughter. Great times here!!

We made reservations months ago so we could attend after the Thanksgiving Parade. It was a perfect location and we were part of the first group to enter. We were quickly seated and greeted by our server who explained the menu and took our orders. The entire table chose to select from the lunch menu so we wouldn't see all the additional dinner items. The soup and our gyoza were good. Our Chef was a very nice young man, who didn't have a complete mastery of all of the skills, but was enjoyable to chat with and kept up with all the additions and changes people wanted while cooking. He created 6 delightful dishes and we left very happy. If you are a fan of this location keep in mind that it is going to be completely remodeled soon, but will still be open while the work is finished so it will be great to see such an enjoyable restaurant get all fixed up and become even better. When we return to Houston we will enjoy another visit. Thanks to all the staff!!!!

Loved the place from start till end. Our greeter wonderful man, waitress and chef wonderful. Loved the way the chef cooked for us and loved the way he interacted with all of us. Thank you so much. 👍

Made reservations online after leaving an Astros game. Upon arriving we were greeted and seated fairly quick. The server was super nice and checked on us frequently as we awaited the cook. The chef was entertaining and talented in his cooking display that made it an enjoyable dinner experience.
