The food, drinks, and service were impeccable (except for hostess who seemed to be unhappy with her job) would’ve received 5 stars if they were more accommodating with the seating. We made a reservation in advanced & didn’t know you had to specify in order to sit by the window and enjoy the view. The hostess told us that the seating would be full so we were not allowed to sit there. Unfortunately that was not the case at all, place was so empty I felt that I had to whisper as to not be too loud. If they would’ve sat us by the view we would’ve stayed double the time and spent double the money.

Love the atmosphere at the Spindletop restaurant. The restaurant is upscale and the staff are very friendly and accommodating. The views of the city at night, with all the lights and movement of traffic, is beautiful. The food was wonderful, although I wouldn't rate it 5 stars. Limited menu, also makes it difficult for individuals with dietary restrictions.

So romantic and the staff was very sweet. The prices are high but you get what you pay for. The view while you’re dining was amazing. You can be looking at the Ferris wheel and start talking and look up at the freeways on the other side of downtown. It was like you were move to another table and didn’t even notice.

My husband and I celebrated our 13th Anniversary at the Spindletop food, atmosphere and 360 ° view is amazing. The appetizer seafood Mac N Cheese is a must try...one will not be disappointed! Herb Crusted Rack of Lamb, Gulf Shrimp & Spicy Lobster Ravioli and Rustic Peach Tart

It's one of the best place in Houston for special occasions like anniversaries etc.. only revolving restaurant in Houston..it offers the best view with absolutely mindblowing dishes. Very classy but little expensive. I guess that's the deal you get when they have sooo much to offer.. Must get a special one to spend some really quality time together. Service is so far the best we have encountered. We ordered grilled pacific tiger shrimp, southwest jumbo lump crab cake, roasted red snapper, ancho glazed grilled chicken breast. The portions are small but taste is to die for!

Well unfortunately yes it's hit or miss with this restaurant.. My husband and I celebrated our 10 year anniversary here. We had okay service and the food wasn't amazing but we still had a great night. Our waiter seemed overwhelmed and the chef looked tired.

Me and my partner celebrated our 7th anniversary and my birthday at Spindletop on Saturday March 16, and were blown away by EVERYTHING! Arelly made sure we had the best experience. We highly recommend the Avacado Dome, Salmon, Halibut and the Tres Leches Cheesecake. Ask for Arelly to be your server!!!

Dining in a revolving restaurant with spectacular views of downtown Houston already delivers a unique opportunity that isn't easily forgotten. Add attentive service and delicious meals to this, and you have yourself a truly memorable moment. Spindletop delivered in every way possible. The wine selection was extensive, but our server made a great recommendation based solely on our description of what we wanted to have. My herb crusted rack of lamb was appetizingly presented, and it was tender and absolutely flavorful. My date enjoyed her filet surf and turf dinner as well. No complaints on this visit. An easy five star rating to give for a fantastic dining experience.

This place has been around since the 70s in one iteration or another I'm told. Novel, rotating restaurant that makes a full revolution in about 45 minutes. Seafood heavy menu prepared by the hotel culinary team. Service is excellent. I emailed ahead and asked for the chef to come out to the table and talk about the menu which they did. Chef was very nice and well informed. Had a lot of knowledge about the menu and had been with the hotel for over a decade at one location or another. Tried the Charcuterie board and the seafood Mac for starters. Seafood Mac was on point but the Charcuterie board left a lot to be desired. These boards are being done well in many botique establishments and even some hotel restaurants I've stayed at. None of the offerings were horrible it just felt uninspired. Although, the chef did say they were all locally produced meats and cheeses... Main course was the rack of Lamb and the filet both were excellent and very tasty. Finished up with the chocolate mousse. Fun but dated environment with about e average but not "to die for" food. Would totally be a prom date or first date spot. We were there celebrating an anniversary a d another couple had rosepetals on the table. Views of the skyline were probably once much better but now you get the inside views of several neighboring skyscrapers... You can see a great view of city Hall and the ferris wheel connected to the Aquarium restaurant Lobby bar is inviting and parking is validated. Definitely a four star experience but the dining still has the hotel kitchen feel so I'm saying no to five....

Place has a lot of potential for a elegant event; it could fit up to 200 guest; it has tables and high boys tables for those who loves to move around or sitting and enjoy the 360 view of Houston Downtown.
