Wow this hidden gem is a great place! Serving up a different take on southern cuisine, there's something for everyone! We came for dinner on Saturday night. The inside was crowded but there was space in the bar and outdoors (they have heaters too!). Our service was prompt and the servers were extremely helpful. The portions are plentiful (I had to grab a to go box). We ordered the hush puppies for a starter (delish) and the pork chops and shrimp for entrees. It was so tasty and seasoned well. Parking can be complicated but there's two lots and plenty of street parking. Check this place out.

A cute place, with bar, indoor, and patio seating. Our server was helpful and friendly. Five stars for him! Brunch I understand is a different menu from dinner. Brunch was comfort-food, hearty, and not much plating efforts. Their burgers do look fancier than their egg plates, maybe try that?!

Enjoyed a quick date night small bites dinner this past weekend. We love their oysters! I was a bit disappointed they didn’t have any of the northern coast ones! They are my favorite but the gulf coast were still awesome. The spicy margarita was delicious! Would go back just for another one of those! The deviled eggs with pork belly were so good! I loved the egg dyed via beetroot. Added a pop to the dish! Looking forward to returning!

My bestie and I Celebrated our birthday with dinner. Upon arrival, the ouside looked cute. Picnic tables and stringed white lights. Our server(s) were awesome! They made great suggestions. We tried the pimento cheese fritters for an appetizer. I ordered the R&T Ranch water and she got the citrus bloom for drinks. We both enjoyed our drink. The appetizer was good good. I ordered the red fish with scallops. I also asked for a side of Brussel sprouts. So yummy! The red fish had alot of flavor and the scallops were delightful. Bestie ordered the pork chop. Which was more like a pork tenderloin. It was a huge portion that could be shared. We followed lunch up with dessert. Strawberries & cream was yummy. The Strawberries were sweet and the shortbread was light. We can't wait to bring our families back.

Finally, after 3 years of getting recommendations to eat here, I was able to stop in for lunch - and I'm sure glad I did. I regret taking this long. The service was impeccable, and everyone was very nice and hospitable. For an appetizer, I ordered deviled eggs, which were scrumptious. The pork belly on the egg is brilliant. For my entrée I ordered their famous porkchop. Be prepared. It's enough to feed 2 or 3 people. The porkchops were tender, full of flavors, and outright delicious. For dessert, I ordered the chocolate cake, which was a huge slice, rich and fluffy. I highly recommend coming here and will be back to try more of the menu item. I ate outside on the patio, which was very nice.

Beautiful day spent while eating here with my family. We sat outside and enjoyed the wonderful Houston weather. The food was absolutely delicious! Each dish we had was exquisite. The servers were very kind and the establishment was perfect. Definitely stop by this place when in Houston!

My son and I absolutely loved Field & Tides. It gives you a “Cheers” vibe (for all those 80s babies). What I mean by that is, it’s a place where “you want to go” 🎼because “everybody knows your name” 🎼and “they’re always glad you came”🎼 Service was excellent from start to finish! Food was good! A couple of areas of improvement based on the temperature but other than that…. Was good! Atmosphere was the best! It’s a smaller restaurant but it has two sides. Restaurant on one side and party side on the other!. Drinks were good as well! Generous pour of alcohol. Nothing was watered down or filled with empty promises. They get my recommendation and I will be back.

Super friendly staff, setting was good for a date night, cozy chic vibes, and the food was very good. A one of a kind, positively unique place that everyone should at least try once. A bit pricey, but worth it. Also, the portions are pretty big, so make sure you’re ready to eat or maybe share a plate. Shout out to our server Banquet E who was awesome!

Found this hidden treasure in the Heights area today. We greeted by the host and seated by the very comedic and colorful manger. This was very nice small restaurant with both seating inside, outside and other structure separate from the restaurant that you can get for private parties. The food was so flavorful and the homemade whip cream on top the key lime mini pie was out of this world. I also had the deviled eggs with fried pork belly. Dont freak out when you see the purple egg cause it is pickled in beets juice. The setup is very nicely done and it's a great place for a first date or to spend time with friends and family.

First experience of this restaurant. All around great experience. Service was awesome and attentive. Food was delish!! Started with the crab and brie fondue (no pictures because we devoured it! ). Pictures below are the beef short rib and pork chop. Unfortunately we did not leave room for dessert! A good reason for a second trip! Thanks for the great experience Field & Tides!

Field and Tides was an awesome place to visit and get something to eat. They have indoor and outdoor dining. They also have a bar where you can sit and enjoy some TV and good drinks. They also have a dining area where you can sit with friends and family and enjoy good food. This food is so awesome and the prices are very reasonable. I had the opportunity to enjoy the pork chop, fried chicken, oysters, beet salad and deviled eggs with braised pork belly which was very good. All the staff are nice They always come by and make sure you OK definitely definitely give this restaurant 5 stars.

First time here. Loved the outdoor sitting area! The beet salad was great but the price for what was received was not worth it. The chicken piccata tasted amazing and the deviled eggs were good. The favorite for me was the strawberries and cream with a basil coulis! That’s one dessert you can share with 2 or 4 people. The inside was nice and clean, and the service was astounding.

First time trying Field and Tides. The service was great. Our sever was attentive and polite. The food was hit or miss. The beet salad and oysters were great. The tuna poke was drowning in sauce and too Spicy. The snapper was very fishy and overcooked. The lamb shank was nicely done and delicious.

First time here. It had been on my list for a while, mainly due to reviews. The location is great, centrally located, and there's a parking lot. The service was friendly and attentive. Some of the food fell a bit flat for me. My friend loved his burger! The deviled eggs were satisfying. I believe they used beet to dye them. I had a pork bowl although I don't eat pork often... wasn't sure what else to get from the brunch menu. It was better on pepper. There was a lot of spice without any actual flavor. Felt like a waste of calories since I wasn't enjoying it, so I didn't finish it. The gumbo was flavorful from what I could tell by the one bite I tried. Not a thick roux but that was ok. The environment was fine. Cozy decor. Intimate space.

At first appearance there is a quaint homey vibe to the restaurant with an open door to the kitchen. Looking in there’s really nothing to look at but a narrow hallway to a partial view of a prep table. But there was plenty of kitchen noises coming from that direction. The appetizer menu looked interesting so we ordered the following: 1. Pulpo: I was expecting a tender octopus. What I got was somewhere between a tough grill to medium texture depending on the thickness of the tentacle. There were micro greens on top which didn’t add flavor but perhaps more texture. The tentacles was served bare, sitting on top of onions and a thin layer of sauce. Eating the tentacle as it is was mostly bland with a hint of smokiness and sometimes a whiff of fishiness. I didn’t mind it but my colleagues felt it was off putting. I didn’t get the onions. It felt like an afterthought and the sauce could have come from my bottle of Thai chili sauce at home. 2. Pimento Cheese Fritters had a nice crunch to it and the flavors were nice but I think I was thrown off by the molten texture inside. It was some parts molten and some parts stringy. However I did like it. 3. The Artichoke was just a pickled artichoke dipped in batter and deep fried. They were okay. Kind of reminds me of deep fried pickles. 4. The Deviled eggs were just good deviled eggs. The square crispy bacon was a good crispy bacon. I couldn’t tell the difference between the Berkshire and a normal pork belly. Simply because it was too small to detect a difference. 5. Crispy oysters and Brussels. Oysters were topped off with a aioli. It was a pleasant bite. I didn’t touch the Brussels so I can’t comment on them. I followed the apps with a She Crab Soup. I found myself comparing it to one I had in Savannah and this didn’t come close. I kept waiting for stronger flavors but it never came through. And I didn’t like the chopped eggs. Maybe because I just had the deviled eggs and it seemed to take away from the soup because it didn’t fit in. My main was a redfish. It was cooked properly with a crispy skin. It tasted good and I enjoyed the roasted okra. I did find myself wishing there was a thick sauce to bring all the ingredients together. I was hoping for more but overall, it was an okay experience for me.

We always have a great experience when we eat at Field and Tides. It’s a cozy neighborhood restaurant with a variety of Gulf Coast Seafood and farm raised proteins. The creative menu is delicious and the entire staff is friendly and very helpful. I highly recommend this restaurant, you will not be disappointed!

It’s more like 3.5 stars. The pimento cheese fritters were nice. The crab & brie was a delight. I had the beef rib which was very very seasoned…too seasoned. My fiancé had the chicken and sausage gumbo and was a little watery, but it was good. The Soweto zeros saved it and so would try the place again. Maybe I’ll try the pork chops next time.

My husband and I went here for a date night because we heard it was great food and our friends were right!!! The southern food with an upscale twist was delicious and beautifully presented and the atmosphere is intimate, elegant and unique! And the drinks were fabulous as well! I would recommend this restaurant to anyone and I love following them on Instagram to see all the new dishes they create! Bravo!

Our food was delicious. We ordered scallops with risotto and low country fried chicken picatta with green beans and mashed potatoes. The flavor, presentation and service was great. We went about 45 minutes before closing and we did not feel rushed or like we were inconveniencing staff like some restaurants might make you feel. I live down the street from Field & Tides so I have been here often. Some of my favorites are the burger, deviled eggs, happy hour oysters and cocktails.
