Came here to celebrate my Dad's birthday. Party of 7. Our server was nice young lady. After receiving our orders, we all took a few bites & found that not 1 person in our group liked the food. Absolutely NO flavor. I ordered the chicken, you can just see the lackluster of it all. It was tough, not fresh at all. My brother ordered the catfish - he said it was overly seasoned. He sent it back then shortly after, the manager came over - he didn't necessarily apologize but did offer to replace his order with something else. He declined considering the feedback we gave him on our dishes. The bread was good & the decor was festive. Can't say that we'll be going back.

This place was awesome. Excellent crawfish dishes. I recommend to get the sampler of soup . Good boudin, the fried mushrooms were delicious. Not forget the cake desserts .

I'm writing this review after two bad encounters there. For starters the food is ok. If you have any roots from Louisiana then you know what I'm talking about. Secondly, the staff is fairly unfriendly. I really hate to go here in this review but i felt pretty discriminated against when i went there. I went to place a to go order. The man walked away and did other things and then took a phone call. Another younger man came to register and asked if i had been helped and i gave him my order. He was friendly and kind and we placed our order and sat down. The first man that kind of brushed me off, started to immediately taking the other patrons orders behind me. Everyone behind was of the Caucasian persuasion and i will leave it at that. The 4-6 people that places their order after me all got their food. My daughter and i sat and waited patiently and the original person that took my food came and asked what our order was. He went back and i assumed tried to get status on it. We continued to wait. Another wave of Atleast 6 people came in and the first one that ordered from that group received his meal and walked out. By this time almost 20 mins had past. I went up to counter and asked about my meal and the lady said here. Not friendly at all. So i said i waited for 20 mins and no one said anything? She said i called your number u didn't come up. I said no maam even your employee came and followed up when i had not been given my cup of soup and grilled cheese. She grew increasingly nasty and at that point i just walked away. Did not care to engage or escalate the situation more. This the second time this has happened. I hate to say it but both times it felt kinda racist in there. Not sure what it's about but probably good idea not to go back. They seem like a popular joint and many do like them and they came recommended but food is just ok. There's a pic posted above of the grilled cheese i ordered and waited 20 mins on . 🥺

We stopped here on a recommendation from the staff at the Lone Star Air Museum. It was out first one of our best Texas meals while visiting. Portion size is generous! Friendly staff and helpful with tourists. The cheesecake was amazing and huge for the price. Great place that is probably a local favorite.

Food is not fresh. I ordered smothered porkchop that was AT LEAST 1-2 days old w/ gravy that was still had lumps of cold gravy. The crab cakes were decent though. They were out of their most popular items and honestly were not friendly workers. However, never ordering food from there again. If I wanted old pork chops with cold gravy, I would buy frozen meals.

Absolutely love this place. Never had a bad dish. They might have the best chicken caesar that I've ever had. The French Quarters Roast Beef Po Boy is pretty freakin delicious too.

Wow! We came to Abe's for Sunday lunch. It was excellent. My husband got the Cajun sampler, and it was enough food that he'll be having lunch tomorrow! Ask food was delicious, and the service was super friendly. We'll definitely be coming back.

Love, love, love this Cajun restaurant. Prices are reasonable and everything I have tried here is great. They have a wonderful Jalepeno Ranch dressing ( have to request it). Outside dining available and is very nice when the weather cooperates. Wait staff has always been friendly and helpful. Restaurant has always been very clean and orderly. Restrooms are always clean. Today, as always, I purchased desserts from Abe's along with lunch. The first two pictures are Hummingbird cake- a Southern favorite(banana cake with pineapple and pecans. The 3rd and 4th are Carrot cake also delicious. The last picture is a Brownie and a Pecan Praline brownie ( which is also very good). They have pie by the slice, bread pudding, cheesecake, and several other cake varieties. The desserts servings are as plentiful and tasty as the rest of the foods served at Abe's. Really is a great place to eat.

Great seafood. Had the shrimp platter. Sorry forgot to take a photo but the batter was light and crispy on the shrimp. Tartar and seafood sauce were fresh. Crispy fries and hush puppies were yummy along with very good coleslaw. 5 thumbs up

I've ordered takeout here on occasion for at least a decade now. The food is consistently great, packaged well and priced/portioned generously. I haven't had a bad meal or a negative experience in all of my trips here. The quality for the price can't be understated. Great value, great place to eat.

Food is always delicious. Meat pies are an excellent appetizer! Service is good. I love the casual vibe. Don't forget to get something to go - blackened chicken salad makes great sandwiches the next day.

Well when I first walked in it was not inviting..it just seemed unwelcoming..not by staff but by customers the vibe was off . however the staff was friendly and attentive to my needs ..the food on the other hand was very bland..as you can see from the photo I had to season it myself.. crawfish is my favorite!!! But now I know not to get it from here 😔

I’m so glad we tried this place. I’ve been craving authentic Cajun food for years and finally got my fix at Abe’s. Everything tastes homemade and the portions are generous. I like the decor and they have good people working there.

Price and service was good. Corn bread tasted soapy. 🧼 Crawfish étouffée was ok. Macaroni was decent. Chicken tenders were average. Gumbo and fish was so so.Nothing there was really tasty.

One of the best places in town. We go there on regular basis and is our to go place to take out of town guests. Portions are trully texas sized, flavors are one of the kind. Highly recommend cat fish ala abes to get the most authentic plate.

Tasty Cajun food. Especially enjoyed the Hush Puppies and Crawfish Creole. Very friendly and helpful staff who brought extra plates and made sure we had other items we needed. On a recent visit, when we arrived just before closing, friendly cooks filled our orders nevertheless.👍🙏

My boys and I went here today, and omg the food was delicious we were there for a quick lunch where we all had the kids meals. The kids meals are hefty! Even I got full and had some leftover!!!😋 The atmosphere is very nice and calm, and I love that thatey have a jiant decorative tree in the middle of the restaurant floor where it looks like it's holding up the ceiling. Oh and kids eat free every Monday after 4pm Definitely going back!!

First time last night. The loaded baked potato was awesome. Wife loved the chicken with mushrooms. Got a good look at the beef sandwich. That’s next!

I'm a very solid veteran foodie, and when I say this is my favorite oh, there is no smoke being blown. The people are friendly, the food is delicious. I used to drive to San Leon for topwater grill, this one measures up to it and gives you more food. I love love love this place.
