First time here and we weren’t that impressed. The chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes and gravy had absolutely no flavor. The Cajun chicken pasta had a lot more flavor and was fairly good. The kids meals were okay. The chips and salsa was pretty good. Our waiter was outstanding. Overall it wasn’t worth the price. Not to mention when we sat down and ordered we waited an HOUR for our food and there was 4 others eating that came in after us. We saw one lady just walking around who worked there while our waiter ran around helping every customer. We will definitely not be back and we do not recommend this restaurant.

We visit this place atleast once a year and they never dissapoint! Ordered the Chicken Fried Chicken and it came out quick. However our waiter put it down as Chicken Fried Steak instead of Chicken. Not a problem...let him know and they quickly corrected that. Regardless of which you order, portion size is great! Wife ordered the Chicken Sandwich with cheese and was just to her liking. My oldest ordered the Buffalo Wings and the seasoning was good. Not to strong, not to weak. Overall we had a great dining experience. Highly recommended.

I ordered the pasta with tomato sauce and was extremely disappointed with the dish. The pasta was overcooked and mushy, and the tomato sauce lacked any real depth of flavor. It tasted like a generic store-bought sauce that lacked any seasoning or freshness.

The menu listed online does not match the prices or selection in the restaurant. It has been this way so long that the employees are exhausted telling phone in orders that items are unavailable. Food was good but there are glaring management failures throughout the entire customer experience. Only 1 entrance to the parking lot of the 4 available and you have to u turn on a side street to get there. Once inside the restaurant there is minimal signage or flow for customers to easily figure out where to order or pickup online orders. The customer facing employees are very nice but it is clear that management does not value the customer experience like they did before Covid. Very pricey for what you get there are much better bang 4ur buck options in the area. $$

Had been here a few weeks before, and the food (philly cheesesteak and salad) was decent and well-priced, but our visit from this weekend will be our last. Service was slow (surprising because it was 7 pm on a Sunday and restaurant capacity was about maybe 50%), but the food was worse. Our friend had the cajun pasta and said it was good. However, my boyfriend and I had the burgers, and that was a terrible decision. They were incredibly dry and overcooked, even though we had asked for medium and medium-rare. The fries were old and stale. We would have sent it back but service was already slow enough as it was. The drinks had to be ordered from the bar, and that took a long while too, maybe about 10 minutes (and there were no customers at the bar, so not sure why it took that long to make 2 old fashioneds and a vodka tonic). Price was not justified either- the old fashioneds were at $24 each. This is a simple orange zest, bitters and whisky mix- that is a downtown price, not a casual restaurant by the airport price. Finally to add insult to injury, there was an included gratuity of 15%, not mentioned anywhere on signage or menu. No wonder the service was so appalling.

The menu on their website is not the menu you get at the restaurant, it has not been updated so if you have your mouth set for pot roast, not happening. The cheeseburger is bland, not seasoned as are the shoestring fries. Also, happy hour is non-existent. Service was good however.

The food was adequate at best. Service was fine however nowhere was it noted or that we saw indicating that 15% gratuity would be included in the final bill! Actually, if we hadn't been shocked and amazed at this addition, we probably would have tipped more!

Food wasn't fit to be served in a restaurant. I had the pork ribs and was looking forward to a nice meal. However the ribs were dry and looked like they had been re-heated. The frys were cold and again either old or re-heated. Even the salad was not fresh and crisp. Service was good, but honestly the food was unacceptable and I will eat almost anything.

Hot Wings were oddly sour and rather chewy. Would definitely not recommend them. The choice of beer and the pecan pie were great though. Waiting time to be served is a bit long. Had to wait five minutes to be seated.

So I think everything was just put in a microwave. The chicken I got in my salad was the same plank that was on my pasta. Exactly and so dry you need water to get it down

Haven't been here in some years but happened to be in the area again. It was nice to find that after Covid and inflation changes the food is just as tasty and portions are satisfying for a good price.

The food was only hot on the top and wasn't so fantastic, however the lady who waited at our table was very friendly and helpful

TBH, I can't really give a proper review. The photos online looked like something worth trying. Our server was great. She was friendly and attentive. That's about the best I can say, outdated everything else. Water tasted like it came from the well. We didn't eat, just left a tip for bringing the waters and looked for somewhere else to go.

Folks I warn you if you want some good grub you got to come here, we stayed at the hotel right next door and decided to get a late night snack, I got that cheeseburger meal, let me tell you, this is not a knockoff Burger.. This is the real cow, they grill the patties put that cheese on it, slap some butter on the bun, that burger is so good I hope your mom is not close because you may slap her. Seriously I was going every night to get a burger and if there was any leftovers I was eating it. The staff is absolutely wonderful they treat you like your family. Great service, great food equals multiple trips. Again this restaurant is what I call the game changer.

Not bad for a restaurant in a hotel. I stopped in for dinner, and it was good. Nothing too special. I had the pork chops with rice pilaf and fries. The chops were good and juicy, but for some reason were (intentionally?) charred around the outside edge. Nothing negative to say about the place or food, just won't be coming back due to the "vanilla" experience.

I came here to eat right before my daughter left for the Navy. The waitress was so attentive and kind, the drinks were good, except the water - tasted like tap but the food was good and cooked well. The atmosphere was nice, didn't feel like it was attached to a hotel.

This place is located inside the Holiday Inn Houston-Intercontinental Arpt, and thats why I came here. It has its own entrance, which is nice, so you don't have to go through the hotel. Prices will reflect hotel prices. I don't mind paying hotel prices for good food, but the food was bland. Almost like they heated frozen food and served it to you. Service was not impressive either. My waitress seamed to be in a hurry to clear every tasteless plate. She would go MIA from time to time, so don't drink your beverage to fast. In short, if you're not staying at the hotel, don't go out of your way to go here. You're in Houston and they're way better food options for a fraction of the price.

This is by far the worst service we have ever had. I received my sweet tea after about 15 minutes of waiting at the table. I did not receive another refill for the remainder of my time at the restaurant. The Food came out cold. The ribeye I ordered was thin and flavorless. It was the worst steak I have ever had. I will never visit this restaurant again it was brutal.

The people are phenomenal and the food was very good and arrived fast. Highly recommend this place. I talked to the Chef and during the experience and tried the pizza they had as a special at his suggestion, glad I did.

Jimmy Buffett was wrong. The menu at a Holiday Inn is not bad. In fact it was very good. I had the cobb salad, and it was in the top 10 of salads that I ever had.

We chose the Blue Dixie because it was within walking distance of our hotel. We had a terrible experience. We were told to sit anywhere. After choosing a seat and the waitress making eye contact numerous times she informed us that section was closed. We moved to another section and waited an additional 15 minutes to place an order. After waiting 10 minutes I walked to the bar to get our beverages that had been sitting out for quite a while. I ordered a $22 porkchop, green beans and mashed potatoes. I got a lukewarm, microwaved porkchop, green beans from a can and yellow broccoli. My wife’s food looked better but she said it didn’t taste very good. I understand being understaffed in these trying times but our experience was horrid. Luckily we don’t go to Houston often. We will not return to this restaurant.

Me and a buddy went in for dinner, stating close by. Ordered a soda and it smells like a used dirty sponge. Asked the server to smell it. She said what do you want me to do. I said well a new glass that doesn't sink would be nice. Brings another glass, smells exactly the same. She says she could bring it in to go cup. STILL smells like a moldy sponge. At this point I'm just getting really irritated. Even my buddy said it smells like a nasty sponge. I said screw it just being me a water. She does... in a dirty glass. My buddy gets a shot, served in a glass that is just super cloudy. Food was meh, my buddy's food was cold, we ordered the same dish. Mine was luke warm. Bad place, bad experience, server didn't even care. Would not recommend.

A restaurant located in the Holiday Inn Houston-Intercontinental Arpt. I was taken here by my sister after it had rebranded and renamed itself. It was just ok with slightly above average hotel food despite my sister craving about it. On my second time there I noticed the menu was paired down greatly to a single 8×11 page w items on 2-sided. The fare is akin to old school dinner food. Service is spotty in my opinion. Time wise you should realize you shouldn't be in a rush because the meals take a minute. Wasn't pleased when we were sat next to some oil guys who conversation loudly bleed over into our family discussion (wasn't happy about that). The entire restaurant is an open air venue with a large section to the right upon entry and a smaller area to the left. There is also a lazy short bar. Really can't stress the acoustics being horrible if your a group of 3+ next to another 3+ is brutal hearing. The food was fair at best.

Definitely catering to the "you are stuck at the hotel" crowd. Slow service, just alright food. Steak was cooked the way we asked. Giant glass of ice tea was awesome, since the waiter wasn't coming by to refill often.

I travel for work so I stay in hotels half the month. This is one of the best breakfasts of any hotel I have stayed in. Absolutely worth waking up for. We get company rate so it's included in the room price. I just tip in cash when I dine in or pick up. The retail prices are a tad higher than a typical restaurant bc it's inside the hotel, but honestly, I think it's still worth it. Clean dining room. Very fresh ingredients. The woman who is always working is very nice.

Never open. Not very friendly when they are. You have to go into the Hotel to get in. The hotel is really only friendly to Hispanic travelers. Good luck if you are a white English only traveler. Over priced and all the close parking spots are for the people who aren't even staying at the hotel but paid for long term parking. A strange business model but I guess it works for them.
