Such a funk and funky little museum! I can't believe that it's free to visit (just email for an appointment!). The art cars have long been a part of Houston culture and I had always wanted to visit this museum. They had several cars on display as well as a ton of art. The staff were so friendly. Excellent experience.

Quirky, small and fun. I loved the art cars and would love to see the 200-300 art cars during the April parade. The collages of the museum founder were interesting, but they did not quite drew me in. It was the 3 art cars that made the trip very worthwhile. I also appreciated the funky building architecture. We received a wonderful and informative welcome by the receptionist. Beware -- the museum likes you to make a reservation in advance since parking is very limited. However, we were lucky and found plenty of street parking.

What a cool museum! It’s free (reservations can be made online) and very unique. Parking is limited so for sure make reservations. There are art cars as well as rotating art displays based on a particular theme. It won’t take long to see it all, but it’s worth the stop!

This gallery features local artists and for the next six months will feature the founder Ann Herithas. She passed away recently and this is a memorial showing. She was an amazing artist that had a wonderful life and she dedicated it to developing the art scene in Houston. The started the Art Car parade and founded three art galleries in Houston and Victoria, where she grew up. Her work was mainly in collage and her art was both powerful and poignant. I enjoyed my time spent here and recommended stopping by.

Decided to stop by this place while passing through town. Found it very interesting to see some wacky looking vehicles and pieces of artwork. While I was given the impression there were gonna be many more vehicles, it allowed for an opportunity to appreciate how simple/smaller items can be crafted into a form of art of expression. The staff were all super friendly and informative. Would be interested in seeing one of their parades at some point in the future.

Absolutely fantastic place well worth the visit. The owners are lovely people and the exhibition was brilliant. The metal and steelwork sculptures were amazing. Pity the person that makes these items does t sell them. I would have been happy to purchase something. Maybe something I can ask when I'm planning to go back to Houston. It's free to get in so please give a do nation as it must cost allot of money to run this. Visited June 2022

We had a day to spend some time before catching a flight home. The Art Car Museum definitely was worth the stop. Not a lot of parking space, but there's no wait and visitors are able to go through pretty quickly as it's not real big. They rotate the cars so you can come back and have a whole new experience. I'm not too knowledgeable on old cars, but they are all unique and very interesting. We had a nice conversation and tour. It was a great time overall . I recommend that you put it on your Houston Go To List.

Enjoyed the exhibit of the vintage cars and motorcycle with passenger cart. Definitely understand why they want you to set up reservation. Parking is very limited but free admission but do accept donations.

I highly recommend you to come to visit this museum. The place is smoldering but the exhibitions are great. Plus the staff is really passionate about card and history. Kids enjoy learning about the items. The museum is currently open!

You have to call to Make an appointment. There was only 3 cars and out of the 3, only two were interesting. It doesn’t worth the ride to just see that. We were so disappointed. We will not coming back.

Love the museum, the Art Car parade, and the Orange Show who manages all these quirky outposts. Very small museum with a few cars and a rotating art display but it's a nice pause. Park along the street but don't park illegally.

Very tiny museum. They have an art exhibit along with the art cars so it's like 2 for 1. There are only about 2 cars outside and about 5 inside. The cars and art are switched out about every 3-4 months. Very nice quick stop. You don't need much time to see it. Take a quick bathroom break there and get some pics of the cars. It's a free museum. There is a box for donations if you'd like to leave something though.

The art cars were not on exhibit however I was not disappointed by this quirky little museum. The antique cars on exhibit were amazing as was the photography. Happily there was a multiple TV monitor that played a documentary on art cars and their owners.

The traveling art exhibit was great. The cars were fun, too. Parking was limited, be aware and communicate with the owners, they were helpful. We really liked it, it was a bit small but the staff were super knowledgable.

Very cool and quirky spot to visit. It's free entry, it's not huge but we spent about 30 minutes walking around looking at everything. Lots of artwork from local artists and a few art cars. We enjoyed it!

Definitely the spot to take out of town folks to get a taste of Houston if you're in the area. It's quick and simple and they continue to rotate art and the art cars on display. Spent maybe 30 minutes there. We did a walk-up, but it might be better to call ahead or schedule beforehand since there is limited parking. And consider donating because it's free to enter, which is becoming rarer, especially for the Heights area.

A beautiful art car museum. Enthusiasts will enjoy visiting the museum and see through the artistic expression on cars. Also has some car collection from 1930s and 1940s which are a testament to the luxury and technology of American motor industry.

It’s ok. Nothing special, very small place, only 2 cars. It’s more for the city type or artist type. It’s free, but you need to make an appointment to enter.

Such a fun and uniquely Houston experience. Not a huge exhibit but I encourage everyone to stop by and support these folks. Art cars have their root in Houston. This is a great place to get started.
