Nice place to visit. It was an extremely hot day, and a lot was closed, but we enjoyed our visit. You have to pay if you want to enjoy the rides—$30.00 for each adult, which is worth it. If you see the sunset, you will definitely get a memorable experience at 𝐊𝐄𝐌𝐀𝐇 𝐁𝐎𝐀𝐑𝐃𝐖𝐀𝐋𝐊!

$6 each ride or a $26 wrist band for everyone taller than 48”. Went on a Sunday there was live music playing by the hotel/plaza where the water is. Perfect for families. Kids enjoyed the rides/water while I did some souvenir shopping.

A nice place to walk. Regular live music. The restaurants can be expensive as expected in an amusement park. Parking can be a challenge. Fun rides for all ages. I enjoy getting a coffee & walking around to watch the sail boats.

I had so much fun there. There are so many restaurants and small shops around the area. Plus it's free to get in, unlike the Galveston Pier (I like that place too). They have many fun rides. I enjoyed the Aquarium a lot, and I got to pet the sting rays. They are so sweet and lovely.

Sadly, we did not plan this trip since we were traveling for Cheer Competition. However, it was a much needed pit stop. The sky's were gloomy; it was raining on and off; therefore, everything was shut down. Restaurants were open, the view was amazing, and this would be an amazing place to be on a brighter day! *Mom Tip* No matter the weather, this is another wonderful spot for family photos. Bring a photographer with you for those Kodak Moments 📸 Pros: Plenty Parking ✔️ Multiple Restaurants ✔️ Clean Restrooms ✔️

Very good visit to Kemah Boardwalk. Bought the Houston Citypass which was the only reason I heard about this place and its only a few miles from Space Center. I didn't use the citypass as walking into it is free unlike the fun park in Galveston. Lots of activity and live music and places to eat everywhere. Rides do require a day ticket or buy tickets to ride what you want. The wooden coaster was not in service this day. There is pay parking all around the area that is all via an app.

I took my parents to Kemah for a nice lunch. None of us had ever been on the boardwalk. There were a few restaurants open but due to the season, there wasn’t much open in the amusement area but It looks like it offers lots of fun when it’s open. I was a little disappointed with options as far as souvenir stores and it didn’t offer as much as I expected for shopping in general. Overall it seems like a fun place when in season but could use some additional shopping and souvenir stores.

This place is pretty great for an afternoon or evening of food and fun. Several food options from higher end sit down to amusement park concession type food. And speaking of amusement there are lots of options from kiddie rides to Boardwalk Bullet (the coolest coaster on the coast). If you are a coaster person this is one NOT to miss…one of the best wooden coasters anywhere. No joke. The view at the top of the coaster is amazing as is views of the bay along the pier itself. Everyone ride attendant and park worker I came in contact with was friendly and definitely trained well in regard to safety around ride operations. Why not 5 stars…well…navigation in and around the rides isn’t intuitive and signage could be clearer. It was not busy when I visited, but I can only imagine the parking nightmare on busy days. Small things but regardless if you get a chance to visit…do it! Lots to enjoy!!

Very nice boardwalk! Lots of carnival games, restaurants, and a small aquarium. There are also several fairly large rides to enjoy! Nice place to visit with family, friends, or a date. There is music that goes on occasionally as well. Entry is free, and there is free side walk parking, however, this can get full quick. Would recommend coming early or using paid parking garage/lots, which are about $10.00.

Excellent place to hang out with family and friends. Parking could be a bit of a hassle depending on how late in the evening you arrive. If you plan to go there arrive around 430pm on the weekends and park after 6pm its chaos to find a parking spot. People and business are very casual and a chill atmosphere. No one seems too wild and everyone seems to enjoy themselves with all the activities. A good number of business have live music on the weekends so check them out. Overall I highly recommend this place.

Beautiful, right along the water. Lots of fun rides to kill a little bit of time between scheduled events, this is a great place to go! Everyone had fun and we were able to take a break from visiting museums, doing tours etc. A little bit pricey for sure if you don't buy the wristband. Rides are $6 per ride, per person. Even if you just go to walk around it's great energy and a beautiful area!

The Kemah Boardwalk is a theme park in Kemah, Texas, near Houston, Texas. The Boardwalk is built entirely along the shores of Galveston Bay and Clear Lake and is home to a collection of rides, midway games, attractions, a boutique hotel, multiple shops etc. There is no charge to walk around on the boardwalk. Tickets for rides can be purchased individually or all-day ride passes are available. It is a nice place to visit as a group of friends or family. We enjoyed our visit. The sunset was definitely worth it. Area: Vast area, with lots of people visiting here, throughout the year. Ambience: Good. Location: Easy to reach. Cleanliness: The area is very well maintained and clean. Entry fee: Entry is free but the rides are for a charge. Parking: Ample parking spots available. Overall we had a good time, the few hours that we spent at this location. Will recommend this place for visits with friends and family.

It's a good place to go if you want to get out of the house and have some nice views. Of course the amusement park is very popular with the kids and so are all of the sweet and sugary foods that you can get. The alcohol is a draw for the adults at the various establishments that serve. Sadly the sunsets are disrupted by the new overpass they are building but you still get some pretty light when the Sun goes down glinting off the water, with all the sailboats coming into dock. There are frequently benches to sit on if you bring your older relatives or you need a place to sit for a few. The Starbucks stays open as long as the boardwalk is open as far as I know so you can get coffee before you drive home. There is plenty of parking most days, though special events and weekends can be challenging. Get there early to park or leave car there for later. There are private rentals/homes to the SE and you aren't allowed on those piers- So save the walk and just circle the shops and restarants on the boardwalk. There is a cool boat ride you can pay for that takes you out into the area offshore. I didn't have time cuz it was closing at sunset but looked exciting if you like speeding and waves!

It’s been 20 years since last visit. So much has changed, but for the good. Improved a lot more than I remember. Many things to view and visit. Love the new tenants that are placed among the boardwalk. A must revisit since new hotels and other businesses in the area.

One of the funnest places to visit when you’re in near Houston. Great thrill rides if you’re into that, also some fun stuff for the kids. Nice walk by the water with tons of food options. Get ready to wait cause the lines are insane during peak times. Lots of affordable parking available nearby some are even free! If you’re lucky you’ll catch some street performers too.

It was really fun.my girl and I spent the day drinking eating and the rides are really cool. Awesome date idea. I spent 20 dollars on each bracelet for all day ride pass. Food and drinks can get pricey but you can just bring your own little backpack cooler. Saw many people doing that.

Visited the Kemah Boardwalk during a Tuesday, which may have affected some of the complaints I have about it. The bad: 2 of the major rides were not open and available for riders. None of the concessions were open and it looked like the majority of restaurants and stores were not open either. Again, this may have been because of the day we visited. The good: $25 for an all day pass to ride the 10 rides they have isn't really a bad deal as long as you hit them multiple times. The lines are also non-existent during the week it appears so we never really had to wait to ride them. The environment is also nice and you get some views of the gulf and the city on some of the rides. Overall, it's not a bad spot to give the kids something to do but can be a bit on the pricey side and it appears the rides, stores, and concessions may not always be available.

Another tourist spot! ✨ A good place to go with family on a weekend or even friends. Lots of good variety of restaurant to choose from. Rides are working when we visited. It was a little gloomy so it’s very windy by the seawall. Other than that, this is a one good place!

We love Kemah Boardwalk! We arrived right before 11am in a Saturday and bought a few ride tickets immediately for my 2 year old son. Since he's under the height limit, the rides he's eligible for allow an adult to ride along without an additional ticket. He had a wonderful time and the carousel is always a big hit! The boardwalk was already decorated for Christmas when we went mid November so that was a fun festive treat! We live less than 5 miles from here so we frequently visit. It's always a great experience!

Over crowded! Keep the eyes in your kiddos!! We bought last minute tickets like 9 PM, we rode everything moving fast from line to line, I helped my children making line before they get out of the last ride, smart isn't?! No enough restrooms. Over priced drinks and goodies. But that's a rule now with the inflation 🥺😱😦😖 The rides are pretty cool! Is just the kind of people who attends. We are getting worse and worse. Enjoy while you can!!!🙈🙉🙊

Great late afternoon evening at this boardwalk. We redeemed our Houston City Pass and received an armband to ride unlimited rides. We did go during the LDW holiday and the day they had a fireworks show so it was super busy! Pack some patience since the roads to and out are super congested and parking was hard to find, which may not be bad during a non holiday but this was our first experience. Lines to most attractions were about a 45 min wait so we only rode 3 rides. The wooden roller coaster was awesome! Ride the front for the smoothest ride. Restaurants were also about an hour or more wait. If we go back, I would go during a non holiday weekend to get the most out of the day.

Nice place to visit. It was an extremely hot day and a lot was closed, but we enjoyed our visit. We decided to get our caricatures done. It looks NOTHING like us 😂, but the girls were very sweet and enjoyed our time there. The aquarium is cool and reasonably priced. Also a good place to get out of the heat. Petting the stingrays was a blast! Ate lunch at Landry’s because most of the other restaurants were closed. It is expensive but very good food. Overall we enjoyed our visit to Kemah!

Had such a fun and memorable experience at 𝐊𝐄𝐌𝐀𝐇 𝐁𝐎𝐀𝐑𝐃𝐖𝐀𝐋𝐊. Me and my gf went during the Rocktober and so did hundreds of other families. We enjoyed dinner at the Flying Dutchman, touched/ fed stingrays at The Aquarium Restaurant, had caricatures drawn of us by a nice street artist, visited The Candy Box for some nostalgic treats, and watched a live band play music! The view of the water and passengers on their boats was beautiful to watch. I absolutely loved this place.

Very cool, small theme park to bring your family too. They don't have a ton of rides but it's enough to spend a few hours at. My youngest is only 42 inches and she had a blast. I recommend getting the wrist band for unlimited rides. For those who are seeking bigger thrills - The Flare and Bullet Boardwalk will not disappoint. Those rides are awesome. Restrooms are clean and they offer concessions. Parking was $12 when I went fyi. Check them out for some family fun.

I think the rides are too expensive. $30.00 for each adult makes it expensive for a couple to go there. That doesn't include, shopping or eating, plus the parking is $12.00. So for 2 adults just to get in the gate, with tickets to ride the rides is $72.00 so far. Then if you eat, which you will, throw out another $50.00 for a couple to eat, we are at $122.00 and if you wanna go shopping and you will, that's another say, $50.00,,,so we are up to $172.00 for a couple to spend the day at Kemah. I mean really! This ain't Six Flags, it's Kemah. Expensive day. I can't imagine taking an entire family there for a day!

So disappointing. We took a first time visitor to the Boardwalk. Hoping for lots of festive Christmas lights and bustling activity, it was so lame. Christmas decor was lacking, and the band playing was a cross between hard rock and rap with the “f-bomb” frequent. Many closures of restaurants. Long lines for ride tickets.

There is no charge to "enter" the boardwalk but that's about the only thing that's free....lol. You have to pay if you want to enjoy the rides. The food there is kinda pricey to me but overall it was ok. There is all kind of food choices available. Took my daughter and her two friends there for her birthday. They had a BLAST. DEFINITELY family friendly but it's also a good place for a nice date. I am definitely gonna return.

I came here as it was part of the Houston City Pass deal and I was given a ride wristband when I arrived at the ticket booth. The 🎢 Rollercoaster was awesome as was the Aviator and (Iron Eagle which cost more, $9 plus your wristband). Loved the whole laid back vibe and the salty ocean air. October weather was fabulous. Paid $12 for lot parking. Landry's was a solid choice for fine seafood dining and you can eat outside on the boardwalk. Highly recommended if you are in the area.

A little park that has characters of the past. You can really tell the decades of design that went into this boardwalk, there’s an old fashion feel to it. Ocean view is spectacular and you can really see off to the horizon. Parking is a bit complex so be prepared to pay if you can’t find any spots!

Kemah Boardwalk is a pretty fun place to hangout. If you want to get on the rides, you're best to get the day pass wristband. You can get on all the rides as many times as you want vs. getting a ticket for each one and having to purchase more each time. The restrooms can get crowded and there may be lines to use them. Each bathroom appears to only have 3 stalls. (1 for the men with 2 urinals). They also have porta potty available but I'd recommend bringing hand sanitizer. There's tons of games to play and several great restaurants to check out. The parking is a zoo, so if you can get parking close to the lighthouse district entrance, that's the best because you're closer to the exit to get on the freeway. Overall great time, I cannot wait to visit again.

Such a cool place to visit and cool off not too far from Houston! The rides are super cheap (like $6-$7 a ride) and the views are amazing especially in the evening. Super happening and eventful place and a must visit for any visitor to Houston! Will definitely visit again!

Fun spot to walk around with the family. Lots of places to eat, all chain restaurants. Rides at the boardwalk were about $5 each or $20-ish for a pass. Lights and vibe at night on a busy weekend was good, lots of families and kids about.

Very fun/great experience coming to Texas. Kids had a blast coming here. Since it was on a school day, wasn't too many people when we first arrived, but as the day progressed more people came but it wasn't that packed. Ride attendance were nice and friendly. Wish more places with rides had more attendance like this. I would differently come again even though it was 49 mins from my hotel in Houston

Our Family had a great time enjoying the bay while at the same time satisfying all our entertainment needs. Even with a variety of ages from 1 year to 82 years we were all able to have fun. The attractions offered roller coasters, aquariums, shops, and shopping treats. We did purchase all day passes and felt we got our money's worth as we rode almost all the rides. The side attractions offered were also a lot of fun, and we had our portraits drawn by the artist at a kiosk. Food was standard carnival and tourist fare, but fueled our activities with tasty treats. We enjoyed our daytime and will return when we can stay at the boardwalk hotel. Great and experience but be ready to spend around $50 per person for a full day of fun.

Parking cost $8, and you had to pay for each individual ride or buy an all day pass. We got the all day pass and found that it wasn’t worth it because most of the rides were broken, and the pass did not include zip line or aquarium. The board walk is very nice, and has a good overview of the bay and I did enjoy the aquarium. It’s a good place for the little ones, the rides are not of very high intensity.

Beautiful boardwalk park on the ocean. The staff were friendly and the park was very clean and well taken care of. Highly recommend checking this place out if you're in the area.

First time down here and it was much nicer than I expected. We will definitely be back. We came during Spring Break 23 and it was cold and windy but plenty to keep kids entertained and parents warm and happy. We had dinner at the pizza shop, got even SF candy at the candy shop and then finished the evening at Starbucks. Plenty of rides even if the lines were long.

Too pricey for me. Two of the rides weren't working and the employees looked worn out. I'd go back just for the kids but for me it wasn't that great. It's got it's scenic views but there's not much to entertain myself with. I don't drink and I didn't ride the rides. It's more for younger people. I'm old already. 😆

Been here a couple times with kids. Rides are awesome no long lines to wait in. Staff is friendly everywhere. You must ride The Beast. It’s a boat that takes You out. Plays loud music jumps waves. Literally everyone gets wet. Some more than others. So much fun. I’ve done this both times I’ve been here. 4 tickets cost a little over $100. Well worth it, it’s a experience for sure! Free to get in. But rides cost. So we get the all day rides pass for $25 a person. Not many rides but definitely enough. I just wish there were more stores open when walking on the board walk. Great food and ice cream. Great for all ages. I had a 8yr, 14yr and a 16yr old kids with me. There was something for everyone. I’d definitely try to go during the week. We were there on Thursday arrival time 4pm. Prices are high I got a bottle of Minute Maid. Cost $5.00. Water is $4.00. So be Ready to spend. Must visit this place if you’re in the area.

There is allot to do and plenty of places to park. Some free and some paid. Either way it's worth the experience if you have time. This was a great place to visit and have fun, it allowed us to walk around in the hot sun and enjoy the scenery. We didn't go on any rides but they all looked fun especially the fast boat ride, it was just to pricey for us. I highly recommend this place for anyone visiting the houston area!

Its a good place for amusement. Although the rides are a little bit scary for me. Some of them are woodmade like the big train ride. I dont understand the making strategy but i just feel like its scary. And if you want to eat something and if you did not book beforehand, you may have to wait for 2 or 3 hours. The ride tickets will also make you wait a long time. Broad walk is good, i liked it.

A pretty big transformation from 25 years ago, which used to be quiet restaurants, but I suppose this is a better family destination now. The prices seemed a bit high (like $7-8 for the wooden roller coaster), but it’s a neat experience.

A great place to take your family, but very pricey. When we go as a family of 4, we usually hit up Tookie burger or the restaurants around that tend to be less packed and are not just seafood based. The kids and wife are not big seafood fans. BEWARE! THEY NOW CHARGE FOR PARKING! They often have bands or music starting on Thursdays and a great place to get some extra steps in. Fridays are way less packed as opposed to Saturdays. We love waking the Boardwalk at night when it tends to be a bit cooler.

Fun place! Was part of City Pass and well worth it. Got two adult armbands. Didn't ride much because it was sweltering hot. It was about 3:00 in the afternoon when we went, I would recommend going Not In the Heat of the day as there were not a lot of places to get out of the sun. There were a few benches and picnic tables in the shade but most were taken. It wasn't a very busy day. Parking was great, you had to pay maybe 12 or 14 bucks but it was right there across the street from the amusements.

We live about 10 minutes from here and only come for specific events. It's always crowded but even more so at events and holidays. The employees are always really nice and helpful. If you like loud, overly packed, high priced, tourist spots, then you should definitely visit. We never eat here because the food is too expensive and of poor quality. We prefer the local spots down the street. The views are always great from here though.

Great place to have fun with the family. We were there for New Years so we got to enjoy the fireworks. Entry is free, depending on when you go you may have to pay for parking. Amazing place! Kids loved it!! Lines for rides aren't too bad and for 5 wrists bands to ride all day only cost $150!! Only thing I didn't like was the prices for snacks/drinks: hot dog was 7.50 I think and a bottle of water was around 4 & etc!! But everything else was great!! The Aquarium restaurant was great!! Fast, friendly and great food!!

Saw Ryan Trajan do a review on this and since I just went, I’ll do it too. Went on a Wednesday at noon in November so it wasn’t crowded at all. Rides were fun and the loop ride wasn’t scary as thought. We went to the aquarium for lunch and it was delicious. Our waiter was very nice. The ocean view was beautiful and the breeze was amazing. I ended up getting a sweatshirt from there. Great vacation spot. 10/10 would love to go back!

I’ve been to this place many times in the year in a half living in Houston. unfortunately the quality has been slowly dropping down, although it’s still a great place! The boardwalk Bullet is one of my Favorite Roller Coaster in Texas! The food is also great despite the somewhat poor Service. The prices are a great deal, especially the all day pass. Lastly, the Drop Zone (They Took it down) Was a great ride, along with the pirate ship. In conclusion, with a few Flaws, this is a good place to spend a day with the Whole family.
