BEST. WEDDING. VENUE. Chris and David are LITERAL angels to work with and made my husband’s and my Big Day so memorable and so special. David was so responsive to every (I mean, every) question I had as we coordinated all the wedding things, and he very much put me at ease in knowing all the details were being handled. Chris was also SO hospitable and helpful with all things logistics. The venue is absolutely gorgeous—our guests raved about how it was the most aesthetic wedding they’ve been to in a while, and how the chapel and hall really felt like a “Texas wedding”. The vendors recommended by David were outstanding, food was incredible, literally cannot go on enough about this dynamic duo and all their work they put in to ensure a wonderful time. From the bottom of our hearts, Maciej and I thank you both, David and Chris! And we will always, always, hold George Ranch in a special place in our hearts!

Wonderful piece of fortbend history hidden in a beautiful working ranch. You time travel through centuries. You get to see how people in each Era lived and worked. There are 4 houses, each set in different time period. There is a working black Smith shop. And live stock including horses, chicken, pigs, long horns. And you get to ride in a tractor from house to house. There are guides who dressed up like they are from that time. It was a marvelous experience.

I came here as part of a school field trip. We spent about 3 hours there and to be honest, that's not at all enough time to see everything. The place has a lot of history and if that interests you, try to spend a day here. They have guides who are knowledgeable and friendly. There's a lot of walking to do in an open ranch setting so come prepared with comfortable footwear and clothing suited for the elements. They have a gift shop with some interesting gifts. Never saw a food court or cafeteria, so bring your own food.

I really like the reenactment of 1830s life of early Texans. The buildings are well maintained. It is a shame due to COVID-19 you cannot go to the second floor on the 1890 house. Don't forget your mask.

Good place to learn and understand first colony history of Texas. The guides have good knowledge about those early families that populate the area and how their wealth evolve through generations. A good place to walk, or take the tram to the historical houses.

Fun, very large, educational spot. Make sure you get there early to fit in all the house tours that happen on the hour. The doors to the houses are locked if you arrive when there is no tour. Get the schedule when you arrive so you know when there are special events like Santa visits, cattle demos, etc.

Where do I even begin? If you grew up in the Fort Bend area, you likely visited the George Ranch in 4th grade. I never imagined I would have my wedding here. We looked at a few venues around the Sugar Land/Houston area- all costing a fortune with no real benefits. We thought we'd see about the George Ranch... upon meeting David we were hooked right away. He was so kind and didn't feed us any BS- straight to the point & took care of all our questions and needs. The cost couldn't be beat. David's vendors were phenomenal- from the food to the music! As the planning steered more into decor and other fun stuff, we were introduced to the coordinator Chris. He is the BEST. Just like David in that he was also very responsive and took care of everything. Everything I asked for, Chris was right on it. Sending lots of pictures of table settings and ideas. He has such a great eye for decorating and making your visions come true... actually he surpassed my visions. I saw the hall fully decorated when we arrived the day of the wedding after our church ceremony and about cried- it was more beautiful than I could have dreamed. Chris went above and beyond, the hall was gorgeous. The charm of the historic hall really gave our reception that extra special touch. Our guests had nothing but nice things to say- everything from the decor, the food, the bar, and atmosphere was fantastic. David was in attendance and danced with us, while Chris buzzed around making sure everything was perfect and that we always had a drink in our hand. We can never thank David & Chris enough for everything they did to make our wedding so wonderful; they have both really become part of our family. If you're looking for a venue that will genuinely care about you and what you want for your wedding, I highly recommend booking the George Ranch. We wish we could relive that day 100 times over!! I'll have to post more pictures when I get them back from our photographer!

We used George Ranch as a wedding venue. The second I stepped foot on George Ranch Historical Park, I knew it would be the perfect venue for us. They offer an all-inclusive package that literally has everything and anything you could possibly want for your wedding. We decided to use some of our own vendors, for example we hired a pizza food truck, and the workers at George Ranch were so easy to work with and beyond accommodating to our requests. I have to give a special shout out to Chris; he decorated the chapel and reception hall for us and was so easy to talk to and work with. He let us make any changes we wanted, and his wife even helped put together flower bouquets for us. After our small private ceremony Chris drove us around the park with our photographer to get some special shots at the historical sites. Then during the reception, he was actively ensuring everything went to plan and on schedule.

Go for it! Amazing place. This ranch is over 100 years old and was passed down generations until today. You learn a lot about Cowboys and Ranch owners back in the days. A total must go!

If the history of Fort Bend County has ever interested you, this is one of the best places to learn it! The kids really enjoyed themselves! They take you on a chronological tour of how George Ranch progressed over the years from house to house. If you go at the right time of year you'll most likely see a few alligators as well. I will be coming back again!

Great place to go if you like history. Not stroller friendly and there is a lot of walking, as the property is spread out. Great re-enactments and hands on experience. Great place for field trips.

We had a lovely afternoon here! We spent about 3 or 4 hours enjoying their small rodeo, and visiting all their historic buildings, which was guided by knowledgeable speakers. A lovely afternoon out! Would definitely recommend.

We recently had a company event (2nd time with them) and it was as incredible as expected! The venue was clean and ready to go at our arrival time. David was very attentive and responsive throughout the planning process and the day of the event. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. The weather was PERFECT, and everyone really enjoyed what the park had to offer, overall an amazing experience!

Got married at the historic chapel there at the Ranch. What a lovely experience. Staff member, David, was so helpful and accommodating! Would definitely recommend this venue for a smaller, intimate wedding with lots of historic character. Grounds were also beautiful for photos!

Worth the $! Plan to spend the day, there is a lot to see and learn. We packed a picnic lunch and sat under some trees to eat. Bring water, wear a hat. There is s tram which is really nice. The historians who work here are excellent!

On Saturday, Oct 21, we took a big group to the festival & we had such a great time! The falconry was my favorite! I loved seeing all the different birds & learning about them. All the reenactments were fantastic! The staff at George Ranch is very nice & knowledgeable. Looking forward to next year!

Love this place!! We especially enjoyed talking with the man at the cabin. I never enjoyed history like I did today. He and his daughter were both very personable and willing to share their knowledge! This was the highlight of our vacation. The cowboy show, dipping vat and tours of the houses were fantastic!
