Went to watch Mesmerica which is a Showcase of art to music. It was cool at the very beginning, but then got kinda boring. I nodded off a few times. There were times when the picture quality made the screen look blurry. Social distancing between rows, but not between people in the row. Masks were not required either. Not worth the $35 price tag at all. Maybe $15.

Saw Beautifica from James Hood’s Mesmerica collection. It was cool in so many ways, but needs improvement. It’s only about 50-55 minutes long. I started to enjoy the change of beat towards the end and wish he would have included more fast tempo mixes and kept some images going longer. I think the show should have been a 90 minute. Movie tickets cost way less than this and spend way more on their production. Also, since I had never been here before, I assumed there was ample smart seating and that I would be able to enjoy whatever spot I sat in. I went by myself, so I got lucky to grab one seat on the end only 3 rows up from the floor. However, I almost got stuck sitting halfway covered at the very top (because I didn’t stand in line even though I got there early). The staff actually were adding uncomfortable portable chairs at the top as if the show time was overbooked. That’s crazy. This almost ruined the experience for me. Anyway, the room is small, so get there early especially if you are general admission. $36.57 ticket is way too high, and to think most people brought their families. I think a fair price should’ve been under $22, and a longer presentation with a wider variety of music mixed in, both slow and energetic. But, overall I’m glad I went for the planetarium experience.

0 stars for Beautifica. BASICALY it was like watching someone's LSD acid trip set to very bad music. Awaste of time and money, seriously, I've seen better cgi videos on youtube. I left with a sore neck from the uncomfortable positions you have to turn your head around to watch. The superficial narrative about love, life and the universe was too contrived and did not go with the graphics flow. Go see the Pink Floyd Dark Side of the Moon instead.

Very nice Planetarium. We went to the program that explained the local night sky and how to find the constellations. Seating is a bit crampt and some of the screen was hard to see, but very enjoyable!

I went there with my second grade students to see Starry Night. The person leading the show did an excellent job of balancing order and keeping it lighthearted and engaging. The students absolutely loved it and it was very informative.

The Dark Side of the Moon laser show was amazing, and the kiosks for the will call tickets were very easy to find. Gift shop is BIG. I plan to see the other shows, now that I have seen the quality of both audio and visual effects. Recommend for anyone looking for a spontaneous fun thing to do in Houston.

Worst experience!!! Watched the so called "Dark side of the moon", but it was actually a 3D video experience for 40 mins. It was so boring..One of the planetarium shows to show something not at all related to space, stars and the show name is so misleading, we were thinking that we will see something related to moon. Very Disappointing..

The planetarium was incredible. We experienced the Mesmerica show and wow. What an amazing show. The staff were so kind. They reminded us that kindness is so real in our society. All of them. There was one guy who told the funniest joke. Why did the scarecrow ask for a raise? Cause he was out standing in his field. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 We had a wonderful time.

Went to the starry night show that was supposed to be “Unveiling the Secrets of the Universe and Taking You on a Mesmerizing Tour of the Solar System and Beyond” but the guy just showed what we see in a lunar/solar eclipse. And pictures you can find on google. He also repeated himself like a million times.

Saw Beautifica, the seating was perfect and the experience was unlike any movie experience I've ever had, but the show made no sense and the sound was horrible. Some people walked out mid show.

I cannot believe how boring it was. Not a single cool visual and the presenter repeated everything 2-3 times

Very enjoyable. We watched Passport to the Universe. It was great for adults and kids alike. I really recommend this museum add on. The seats are comfortable though I do wish they reclined a little further but it didn't take away from the experience.

A young women named Lynnex who helped us was INCREDIBLE! She explained a bunch of different things about the museum and planetarium to us. I wasn’t buying an admission ticket for the museum, only for a planetarium show. However, it was nice to hear about it all though. Upon talking about this, and the struggle to find parking she asked if we ended up getting a space in their parking garage. We did, however it cost $20 Since there was no option for parking by the hour, only the full day. Lynnex went out of her way to speak with a manager and get our parking comped since we were only going to be there for the planetarium show! She did not believe it was fair for us to have to pay the $20 parking fee when only visiting for less than an hour. She did not have any obligation to do this and we are so very appreciative that she did anyways. Amazing customer service from her & obviously the person who gave approval. Also, enjoyed the show we saw.

Went to the starry night live presentation and the presenter was very knowledgeable and engaging, but I was not aware that there was going to be an infant birthday party full of screaming children in attendance. If I had known I would have gone to a different show or on a different day.

My daughter took me to see two different shows they were magnificent Tom Hanks narrated the first one Robert Redford narrated the second one everything was fine except at the second show the family behind us was so obnoxiously loud and the kids and the father were kicking my seat like he had no sense in his head whatsoever

Beautifica was amazing. Very relaxing immersive visual and soundtrack..Here are two hints..Get VIP package and you will get entry before regular customers. Choose seats 5 rows from back in middle(you will get first choice)..also you get music download with VIP..Notice! You must get there early ! Thirty minutes before show. Free parking in Garden parking C or on the street with $5 city parking..enjoy

It's a standard museum. Always great things to see. I enjoy having my membership. Well worth coming to kill a few hours of the day and keep the kids busy

The quality of the picture is so poor. Animation effects are from 20 years old. I started to feel sickness after first 10 minutes and left.

Pink Floyd laser show not as good as it used to be 20 years ago. Mostly all projected images now and very little laser. But still worth the $9 and jamming to some Floyd.
