By day this place is always crowdy. But come at night, and this place provides you a peaceful abode to have conversations with yourself. The calm night and beautiful skyline is an added bonus. I always love to just sit here at night. You can bike around too if you want. And it's quite safe around here. Have stayed till almost 2 A.M here and didn't see any problem

My favorite place in all of Buffalo Bayou Park! There's a huge grassy area, a volleyball court, a pavilion, and fantastic views of downtown. It's such a nice place to hang out, or play volleyball, or picnic, or play Frisbee, or take pictures! I even saw a couple get engaged here. You should stop for sure!

I absolutely love this park! It's an ideal spot for a picnic or a refreshing walk/run. The picturesque skyline view makes it perfect for photography. With numerous trails to explore, it's a haven for nature enthusiasts. The proximity to the skate park adds an exciting element to the surroundings. Look for the sculptures staged around the trails. What caught my eye was the charming love lock fence on the pedestrian bridge which is reminiscent of Paris' Pont des Arts. It's adorned with locks placed by H-town lovers, creating a heartwarming atmosphere. No entry fee makes it accessible to everyone. There is street parking adjacent to the park, but it gets filled quickly during weekends or events. The park is open 24 hours. Normally we visit there at night to enjoy the skyline view in its shinier state. Overall, a fantastic park with a variety of activities, stunning views, and a touch of romance. Highly recommend it to anyone looking for a delightful outdoor experience!

Beautiful park in the heart of Houston! Paddle boats, train rides, a restaurant. Lots of beautiful photo opportunities. Most of the museums are adjacent to this park. What a treasure. JR

We came with friends to ride bike and it was a great time! Despite our lack of athleticism we had lots of fun. We went around 7 and there were lots of people out. The bike riding path was a little tricky to maneuver because of all the walking people. The trails had beautiful views of the city and lots of places to stop and get a cute selfie.

Eleanor Tinsley Park is a truly remarkable oasis in the heart of downtown Houston. The park boasts breathtaking scenery that transforms every run or leisurely walk into a pleasure. Its serene ambiance provides a perfect escape, particularly when seeking relief from the pressures of daily life. The annual rodeo run adds a dynamic element, with expansive areas for sand volleyball games and numerous tents offering freebies. The beautiful bridge connecting both sides of downtown presents an opportunity to enjoy different vistas, providing ample material for photography enthusiasts. The park's vast expanse allows for extended walks and satisfying mileage, catering to various outdoor activities. Whether it's cyclists, runners, or dog walkers, the park is a hub of positive energy. The presence of lakes, charming waterfalls, and the delightful company of turtles and ducks make each visit a truly pleasant experience. Eleanor Tinsley Park stands as the epitome of a city amenity, offering a serene retreat within the bustling urban landscape. For me, it's become a favorite spot to take leisurely walks with my dogs. I highly recommend it and always find myself eager to return to this urban haven. Eleanor Tinsley Park undoubtedly ranks as one of the best city parks, providing an exceptional and rejuvenating experience for all.

This park is amazing!! Came in the evening for a picnic dinner and it was great. Parking can kinda be a hassle but we were able to get a spot many rows down. Parking cost a $1 for 3 hours. They do have someone going around checking license plates. Pay at the meter, need to input license number fyi. Park has many young and old faces some on roller skates, scooters, and many just walking and running. Nice walk along the bayou and even some sculptures on the paths. Trash and recycling bins located along as well. There is a road that goes along and can get loud at rush hour but all in all just a peaceful place to relax and see what nature and our beautiful city has to offer. I hope to come back soon :)

Eleanor Tinsley Park is an excellent choice for those who enjoy hiking or biking in a serene environment. The park offers beautiful trails that allow you to immerse yourself in nature while engaging in outdoor activities. One of the highlights is the breathtaking view of downtown from certain spots within the park. It adds a touch of charm and allure to the overall experience. However, it's important to note that during my visit, the weather was quite hot. The lack of shade in certain areas made it a bit uncomfortable, especially during the warmer hours of the day. If you plan to visit, I recommend bringing sunscreen, hats, and plenty of water to stay hydrated and protected from the sun. Despite the heat, the peaceful ambiance and the stunning downtown backdrop make Eleanor Tinsley Park a worthwhile destination for nature enthusiasts and those seeking a break from the bustling city life. Just be prepared for the weather conditions, and you're sure to have a memorable time.

One of my absolute favorite parks! I always enjoy the trails and the beautiful sceneries of the city of Houston! There’s always people around. If you go later in the evenings it’s always well lit up. I enjoy walking and riding my bike with the family.

Improvements over several mayors and years has made the park more inviting than ever, jogging track, with pleasant scenery. Nearby attractions include the Jamail Skatepark and Cistern. Like our entire city, parking is rarely plentiful when the weather is good. Restrooms are better maintained than other city facilities and the skate park has a security guard. Coffee trailer manned by extraverted Italian a plus.

This is the perfect park for a cute picnic date!! My boyfriend and I went in early November and the weather was perfect. Also the whole grassy area was perfectly shaded by around 4 in the afternoon! The view was beautiful and the environment very relaxing!

Lovely beautiful park with trails. Miles of trails. On the Sabine side I saw police patrolling on horseback which was nice to see. If you walk all the way through downtown paths there is a lot of historical info along the walk. Homeless can be in that area so be in alert but for the most part it's always busy!

Had Several food trucks to choose from. You have to bring your own chair and Blanets cause they have no seating. It's basically a park upstairs with A big stage. Parking was decent. 5.50. The view of the downtown skyline was amazing. The event I was attending was Jazzy Sundays in the Park.

The nearness of this park to Houston downtown gives the park goers some of the most stunning views of the downtown skyline. It has some nice trails for dog walking and running as well with some great views of the bayou.

A great park in the heart of downtown with multiple walking paths and spots to take photos. Due to the location in the city, parking can be difficult to find. Also dog friendly park, there were so many people enjoying the cool breeze of Houston evening.

Awesome public space. Very lively at night when it’s warm. Great spot and plenty of open space for families or anyone to play soccer/volleyball/spike ball/football or picnic. Parking can be challenging if you don’t live close by. I like to ride my bike around the area or have my dog pull me on a skateboard, trails are fairly smooth. If you’re planning to visit the area definitely visit this park.

Eleanor Tinsley Park, located within this greenway (Taft-Sabine), is the site of major Houston festivals and events. For your Pictures with the amazing City of Houston as of Background with impressive and marvelous rainbow of colors that provides to your memories the Magic Touch. You can even have a family get together under the starts; the light of our Unique Moon and with a vibrant vibe that you only feel right there. Give it a shoot, cheers

This park has an amazing trail, great for any physical activity that requires movement. We saw lots of scooters and bikes that could be rented and very detailed maps of the entire length of the park. Watch for gators!

We had a great time exploring Eleanor Tinsley while the skateboarder in our family spent time shredding at the skatepark. Make sure your kiddos are bike-aware and know how to scoot to the side. This was an issue with a crew of our size.

This is one of my favorite parks. Clean restrooms and parking is usually a breeze. There's a kids area along with a skate park, bike and walking trails. Perfect place for a picnic.

Great river-front vacation rental with kayaks and inner tubes to float down the San Marcos river. Screened in porch was really big with a lounge area and large dinning table. 6 bedrooms, 4 full bathrooms and a half bathroom, tennis court, fire pit and lots of common areas for families.

Park is always lovely and filled with so much activity. Folks havin picnics, playing football, rugby, they have a sand volleyball court. There’s a company that sets up these lovely picnic in the park deal and a great place to plan activities with big groups. The trails are nice and very long so you will definitely get your steps in. There is a playground and a skate park in the area. Parking is where you can find it and they have the kiosk to pay. Bring your mats or chairs if you plan on spending the day out there and something to provide shade and your water bottles. Beautiful place to spend the day.

It was our first visit to Houston and we brought the scooters hoping to be able to explore the city. Our first ride started in the park, and I can't say enough about how beautiful it is with the river flowing through. Everything was clean, and you could tell people really use the space to relax and be outside. The view when we returned to the car tonight was breathtaking!

This place is known for the 4th of July concerts but it is a beautiful park with nice trails where you can see the skyline of Houston. It's always clean and doesn't smell like an urban park. The air is clean, no wild animals. A true Houston treasure!

First time visiting Houston and I would say that this is one of the most beautiful parks we've been to. The skating park was so fun and the sight seeing was infinite.
