The location is great and the guy working the front was great. The room was small which I expected. The bed wasn't very comfortable but certainly not the worst. The pillows could definitely be better. The only thing I really didn't like was that you could only get ice on the ground floor. Still not a deal breaker for me but I would have liked to know that beforehand. I did really like that you couldn't use the elevators without scanning your room key. Definitely good for guest safety. We would stay there again but would probably bring a pillow.

Very bad experience for us! We rented 3 rooms, the 3 rooms were not clean, one of the rooms smelled of Marijuana. The hotel is dirty, even an informative inscription was destroyed on the ground on the 3rd floor. Mold in the showers. No fridge or microwave in two of the rooms. A coffee machine that does not work in one of the rooms, the lock of a bedroom door does not work either. We took a king size room which had two mattresses. a shame! This hotel looks like a student hostel. I did not feel safe in this hotel. I was ashamed to have booked this hotel for my family. The photos do not at all reflect reality but not at all. In the bathrooms the ventilation does not work. I must have felt the humidity in the room all night. the rooms were very small, we had no place to put our suitcase. Furniture are old and broken. The toilets were very lacking in cleanliness. And the corridors in the rooms were very dirty. I think this hotel needs to be really renovated and cleaned. Because the photos are not at all the one in person. I do not recommend this hotel at all. to avoid!

What a flophouse! I had to stay there for two nights. The room was very sparsely furnished and equipped. Right after I entered the room, I could see some ugly stains on the carpet next to the desk. The bed was so uncomfortable that I had a pain in my back every morning. There was not even a hairdryer in the room or they just tucked it away from me, so that I could not consume the power. That’s how it felt to me. And I didn’t like the wet and closer coming curtain during taking a shower! The absolute worst thing and experience happened upon check out. As I looked over the bill I saw that they charged me almost $40 for parking! I never ever booked this service or even never did talk to anybody of the hotel staff about it. The most ridiculous fact was, that the female staff member was not able to refund the money for that! She told me, that only the manager can do so, but he or she was not here at this time. How embarrassing is this for a hotel, if they charge you for something you never booked and they are not able or willing to apologize and fix their mistakes! Nevertheless the staff member made some notes and promised to forward the issue on this to the manager, which I was doubting immediately! Nothing happened the days after. Two times I wrote them an e-mail, but they did not even have the manners and decency to answer my messages! Just embarrassing for them. Or nice try to get some extra money. But typical for such an unreliable flophouse! Never ever again for me!

We enjoyed our stay. The location was perfect for us attending a concert at the Toyota Center. We were able to make the short, enjoyable walk in no time at all. The room wasn't huge but was all we needed. Bedding was cozy & towels plush. The hotel itself was super cute. I loved the vibe & decor. The staff was amazing and that's hard to say these days! Specifically a sweet young man named Brennan and woman named Sam, very hospitable. That's the only names I got however every staff member I spoke with was very helpful and friendly. I would highly recommend this hotel and if in the area I would certainly stay here again. I have paid twice as much to stay in a comparable hotel but with terribly rude staff, this stay was truly a breath of fresh air!

Great location in downtown. Room was good size and clean. No fridge in room. Staff was friendly and helpful. ***** Would have rated 4 Stars but I’ve yet to be refunded my $150 deposit for incidentals. Contacted customer service who said they’d pass my concern on to the hotel and still haven’t received my refund or a response from the hotel. Not good.*****

This was the worst experience I’ve ever had with a hotel. First off, they’ve charged me incorrectly and after multiple tries the manager has not contacted me back and the employees are rude and not helpful. The rooms are deceiving from what you see online. They are small and dirty. There was a hole in the wall. The shower had mold, it was so disgusting we had to shower with our shoes on. The bed had a dead moth and other gross filth in it. The TV and phone was broken. The desk was broken. Even the picture frame had a crack in it. The carpet was so disgusting … again… we had to wear our shoes the entire time. I’ve never had this type of experience at a hotel before nor have I ever left a bad review but this was just completely unacceptable. You would think for almost $200 a night the rooms would be at least clean. The check in method was a very chaotic as well as the valet. We didn’t even do the valet and had to park across the street at another parking garage due to the mess of it all. I understand being busy, especially with concerts going on around the area, but a lot of things could have been handled better.

We booked this hotel thinking it’s in a great location in downtown Houston but there is not much around the hotel other than a few bars and restaurants. The lobby looks really good and they have a cool (complimentary) coffee machine in the lobby! In regards to the rooms, the doors are so close to each other and there doesn’t seem to be any sort of noise insulation. The “Queen bed” room is so tiny and is only acceptable if you are not going to spend the day in your room! Check in/out was easy and the staff were friendly.

Our 3rd stay at this hotel, always a nice and comfortable stay. We were able to check in early, friendly reception. The most comfortable bed, pillows and duvet. AC worked well and excellent WiFi. Also love the brand name regular size lotion, shampoo and conditioner in the rooms. Love the complimentary laundry machines and coffee in the lobby. They also have a nice gym. Location is perfect. Definitely will stay here again and would recommend this place to others.

Our stay at the Club Quarters was barely enjoyable at best. I’ve never left a hotel wishing we would of just stayed at a Holiday Inn(which I really like but are definitely not anything special), but after our stay here, that’s no longer the case. The location is very nice. It is a short walk to a lot of different bars, the aquarium and different restaurants downtown. This was the only thing that was desirable. The rooms themselves were very dated but clean enough. Very middle of the road. Parking was pretty bad but I don’t blame them for that. It is located downtown after all. But what I do blame them for is their customer service. The customer service was the worst I’ve ever had in the hotel industry. People would barely smile back at us. There were three different occasions when my wife called the front desk to ask a question or a request and they gave a one word answer and hung up before she could ask or say anything back. Our tv was not working properly in our room and we called to see if there was a way to reset it and that too got a prompt “No” and a click then a dial tone. This is the first time I’ve ever stayed at a Club Quarters and in my opinion, there’s plenty of nicer hotels downtown near this one. I will not be staying at a Club Quarters again.

A room was small but clean. We stayed in a queen sized bedroom and it was enough size for my husband and me to stay for just one night in the downtown Houston. The location of the hotel is perfect! Many restaurants and bars are nearby. We parked our car at the public parking in a front of the hotel..20 dollars per overnight by self parking.

The Television Remote didn't work. The light by bed was unplugged and this was obscured so we were unaware. We found a half drunk diet generic cola was in fridge. There was urine was hardened on top of toilet seat. The room was very poorly cleaned. All this so far wasn't too horrible, but then the hot water didn't work. This was true for both the shower and the sink, but the sink would fill up with water and had to be turned off a few times in a row to figure out that it wasn't working here. Note: the staff that helped with the light and TV remote replacement was very helpful. The later switch to another room was via a pair of keys delivered to the next room by a man who did not speak English. We were pretty sure we were supposed to move to the new room, so we did. In the new room, there was what appeared to be curlypubic hair present on the toilet seat, but otherwise our experiences in this room were much better. We had to get dressed a few times that first night and completely re-pack and move. Overall it was not a pleasant stay. Edit: I forgot to mention that after reporting our hot water was not working, the staff on the other side of the texting app said simply" there is hot water sir." Um. NO! We had tested it multiple ways and were 100% sure there was no hot water in the room.

Wasn't too sure about this booking, because the hotel is one of the older ones. But was pleasantly surprised and pleased with the updated amenities. Rooms were great, beds were comfortable. Inside looked great. Has a self-serve coffee cappuccino bar. No continental breakfast like most locations but on site dining is available.

Megan at the front desk is AMAZING. Best service I have had in awhile. She made you feel very welcomed and comfortable. I will definitely be stay here in the future. My room was clean and comfortable the hotel was centrally located to the areas I was wishing to go. I don't have a single bad thing to say about club quarters houston. I would give 10 stars if I could

Lovely aesthetic and fashionable decor. The front desk manager Max was magnificent and exceptional. His hospitality was superb, he was able to create friendship with my mother and I , rather than just keeping it strictly business which I loved! The hotel restaurant bistro was phenomenal, the MORNING bartender makes exquisite cocktails and the food is divine. my room was clean, very large and very relaxing. I cannot say enough good things about this hotel. My Negative Aspect ⬇️ 🤔 I ordered dinner to go in the evening and the NIGHT shift bartender added a $27 gratuity without asking me or letting me decide how much to tip on a TO-GO order. He didn’t hand me a receipt either until I asked for one. I asked for a receipt so i may tip him until I noticed he already tipped himself. Not very nice to tip yourself on the bill without mentioning it especially when It was a pickup order. And not nice trying to hide the credit card receipt until I asked for one.

This hotel is very deceptive. It’s very nice when you enter but the rooms did not match at all so I gave it 1 star. You couldn’t even open the toilet seat all the way because the counter was so low it was in the way. We had to get hot water fixed. The towels felt like sand paper. The only thing that made up for it was the great customer service but we’ll definitely never stay here again.

Looking at the hotel from outside, you would’ve thought that it’s luxury, but definitely wrong about that. The lobby was ok, I booked a queen size room and it was very small, thank goodness was only there for a night. My bathroom had some molding and for some reason the carpet was soaked by the bathroom. I would say the staff was friendly and I made a special request to have pictures of Keanu reeves in my room and they delivered lol, thought that was awesome! Also the hotel was conveniently located to the building I had to attend for an interview. For a downtown hotel , not much around the area to do.

Excellent choice in Houston. For sure it is not a luxurious hotel, but you got the required comfort paying not much. Self check-in and check-out work well. Free water fountains and espresso coffee machine improve your comfort. Very good location in downtown, with easy access by walking or tram to Convention Center.

If you've ever wondered how someone can find luxury without breaking the bank, ʜᴏᴛᴇʟᴅᴜʟʟʏ.ᴄᴏᴍ is the answer. Trust me, I just got this room at a fraction of the usual price. Great location. Possibly the most walkable part of Houston, with many restaurants, bars, and shops. You also have the light rail metro and buses nearby. The room was good, the kitchenette was of great help. There was no safe in the room though, not sure why. The side entrance (which was the main entrance at the moment) felt quite narrow in comparison to the gigantic hall where the elevators are. Staff was helpful.

Poor kept hotel - staff is rude and completely inattentive - the rooms are poorly laid out and dim lit - our window looked out to the building next door - 5 feet away - the valet watched us unload our car and never once offered to help only thing he asked was for us to check in and come back out to tell him our room number - lazy as hell! Don’t waste your time or money - Houston is a huge city with 100s of hotel far better than this POS Never stay here again

Spent an overnight here. The room was small but clean. The metro is around the block so it is very convient to get around the city. It is about a 20 minute ride to the museums. Plenty of food places within walking distance. I loved the water dispensers that they had on each floor. A good place to stay for 2 people.

Came to Houston for the Astros. This hotel was the best priced in the area. The room was not nice, but ok for 1 night. The staff was very friendly and helpful, they came to assist quickly when needed. The bed was comfy. The blow dryer was sticky, maybe had hair glue or gel all over it, and the complimentary water station is likely reusable bottles which is bothersome for very sanitary people but wonderful for earth conscious people. You can always use your own bottle. We didn't have an ice bucket. The best part about the stay here was their dog friendliness. The staff was sweet to our fur baby and the city grass was not far away from their location.

Great hotel and specialy the front desk lady that sorted out an issue with our bed after just explained what the issue is. We got then for the rest of two nights an upgrade room that had ... the most important a perfect bed to sleep on.I'll definitely use their services if I will have that opportunity.

Reception was not well placed within the entry corridor. As a result, staff could not cope with the number of people trying to check in and out. Came across as very disorganised. Room is small. Bed squashed up against window. Insufficient space to leave and place 2 suitcases opened. Bed and pillows are comfortable. 1 star for that. Have stayed in better accomodation for this price.

  • 4/5 Monica G. 7 months ago on Google
It is a very nice hotel in perfect location, walking distance to the astros games. Sadly the service staff is terribly slow. The only amenity in the lobby is the coffee machine & it was slow or out of service BOTH DAYS were were here. The gym & the rooms are very nice. Everything was clean. The area felt very safe. But sadly the staff miss the mark for this hotel at THIS price point. I would expect this service at discount cheap motel, not a luxury hotel downtown. The staff was slow in offering help and providing help with anything requested

  • 1/5 Amber P. 4 months ago on Google
Room is extremely small, definitely not as pictured on site. Upon arrival the woman at the front was snooty and seamed very hard to communicate with, worried more about checking us in on the kiosk than answering our questions. The shower head fell and broke on my husband’s head about 5 minutes into his shower. In addition to this, we were charged $25 for a bottle of lotion that was never in the room to begin with. When calling and speaking to management about our experience, she pawned it off to housekeeping and stated she would speak to them about it. We haven’t heard from her since. If i could give 0 stars, I would. Save your time and money and don’t stay here.

I stayed at CQ Houston this weekend and had an amazing stay. The concierge, Megan was great! She was really friendly and even suggested a few things to do around the city. She made sure we understood the policy and even upgraded us for our 3 day stay. Highly recommend!!

Make sure to use ʜoᴛᴇʟʙᴏʟʟʏ.ᴄᴏm when booking a room. This web site will compare countless booking websites and typically will have prices a lot cheaper compared to others! You're welcome :)! This resort is the best rated in this area. I've been staying here for a very long time. If you decide to stay here you definitely will love it I'm sure! Wasn't too sure about this booking, because the hotel is one of the older ones. But was pleasantly surprised and pleased with the updated amenities. Rooms were great, beds were comfortable. So far, I stayed 3 times at this hotel. Some room are small other rooms are a lot bigger with a kitchen in them. For tall people the shower head is high enough. I always paid the same price, so I never know what I will get, but I am happy with the free upgrades if available. The checkin is via self service, and maybe the app works better, now. Parking is very expensive, most other parking places in this area cost $8 per day. Breakfast is not included. Overall it is a European style hotel, but I like it.

  • 5/5 zack 2 years ago on Google
Monique is awesome. She deserves additional compensation for how she handles guests and this facility. She is attentive and takes care of things asap. I am happy to have checked in on her shift. The lobby is awesome. The hotel is very European style. The room is large. My unit is pretty quiet, i can't even hear a horn blow. The valet guy was awesome as well. I'll be back!

I stayed here for work recently and the whole experience was perfection. The front desk staff was exceptional and friendly. The rooms were very clean and updated. Then later interacting with them to set up corporate rates for my company the staff was helpful and informative. Will be recommending them often.

  • 4/5 Sam O. 2 years ago on Google
The staff is phenomenal. I’ve interacted with various reps on several occasions and every time it’s been awesome. That said, the building is older and imo this accounts for the majority of negative reviews. However, because it’s older doesn’t mean it isn’t clean (which is certainly is) and overall I’m happy with our stay. The location can’t be beat. So what could be improved? Well, the app and most of the online experience is complete trash. Seriously, I challenge you to use their online system to check in and get a room key and send me proof that it actually works.

Front desk was beyond helpful. Many years ago I stayed at the Club Quarters in downtown Chicago and this location had the exact same vibe -- very nice property in an excellent location (just a block off of MetroRail in this case), with clean and comfortable rooms that have full amenities, but there are very small rooms at good prices available for those who just want a basic place to stay (but there are larger rooms available, including those with separate living rooms and kitchenettes). Would definitely return here if the need arose.

  • 4/5 Jessie F. 1 year ago on Google
The staff was really nice and we loved the location of the Hotel. (About 2-3 blocks from a large selection of bars) the only complaint was how small the rooms were. We didn't spend much time in the room, so it was okay for what we needed, and just for one night. But there was about 2 feet around the the bed to walk, we had a king bed. There wasn't a safe in the room, or a mini fridge. They did have clean, sealed plastic bottles for you to fill up with cold purified water, which was nice. We will stay somewhere else next time.

"you didn't find a deal, you found a problem." The place looks nice, and is around other nice hotels. The a/c was bad, you would either fry or freeze, alternately. When I woke up in the morning there was no hot water. I called the front desk and I believe she had something else to do. She was rude and dismissive. When I went down, I spoke to her, the manager was no help and insulting. There is a reason it is the least expensive in the area, you didn't find a deal, you found a problem.

  • 2/5 Ilianushka H. 1 year ago on Google
The hotels location is amazing! Although the price I paid for a little room with almost no toiletries, and no room accessories. I paid for a room $150 for a room with two bed and you barley couldn’t move around the room due to how small it was. There is a woman at the front office, but everything is through the computer, so the employees really don’t help you with anything, They just tell you the “Hotels website will give you the information.” I went around in circles looking for my room because the floor plan is uneven. This May sound like a rough review; Don’t get my wrong, it’s a nice hotel for downtown. But the price you’re paying, better go to a different hotel that will attend.

Over all my trip was very nice. It got started out frustrating due to not being able to find the hotel and find parking. But once I got parked and inside it got better. Bren is a young man who helped make my stay wonderful! He showed me the gym, took me to my room and was extremely kind and helpful during my stay. The staff in the Bistro was very kind and polite also. I saw outside and people watched while I ate. I didn't have any issues with homeless people there but FYI, they're all around that area. Traveling as a single woman it was reassuring when the bartender guy told me that he'd keep an eye on me because l decided to sit outside and eat alone. The gym was rather impressive for a hotel gym. It had several GREAT leg machines which I enjoyed a lot and a leg pressing machine. Everything was clean and no issues at all. Oh one more person, the young woman who helped to check me in, she was very sweet and listened to my concerns of not being able to find the hotel. All of the staff I came in contact with are an asset to that hotel. Somethings I found that's not related to the hotel; there's not much night life around the hotel, a lot of homeless people sleeping on the streets, most all the restaurants around there close early, very humid, and if you use the parking garages it'll cost you each time you want to take your car out so be aware of that.

Just go ahead and book a suite or higher end room if you are looking for comfortable accommodations. The staff was friendly and thankfully able to get us into a clean room with working appliances on our second night but I wouldn't risk it again booking a small room here. Othere than that the hotel was beautiful and our alternate accommodations were more than satisfactory.

The room was a good size for the 3 days I was here . First night was a little rough with the rude service desk MGR , she was rude from the phone call to check in , our next morning we stopped at front desk and asked if she was Megan who was above the front desk MGR, whom was not there but we had lovely Tay , she was so sweet and so kind and easily explained everything. Besides the mgr everything was great with the rest of the staff & bar drinks were amazing with our bartender the first night .

I went to Houston to attend an Astros baseball game. Location and price were a big reason I chose to stay here. Check in was quick and easy. Front desk staff were very friendly. I stayed at a room on the 15th floor which had a great view. The room was small and basic but it was all I needed for a 2 night stay. The only problem was there were stains on the pillow cases and bath towels. The room also had a bit of an odor to it. The location is great. Right in downtown with easy access to public transportation. Walking distance to plenty of parks, the aquarium and Minute Maid Park. Overall a good stay.

  • 4/5 Hans R. 1 year ago on Google
A bit outdated hotel but still pretty decent and right in the center of downtown. I love it and would book it again! Ideal for exploring Houston and going out. Great details: coffee machine in the room with decent coffee and even a microwave! Best is the airco, that's pretty silent. Down in the lobby, there's a really good cappuccino machine and enough room. A bistro is directly accessible via the lobby.

This is a minimalist hotel. Self check-in. Room is small but comfortable. Bed was comfortable. Location is good. More expensive hotels are right around the corner, so if you're worried about location, don't be worried. There are pretty much zero amenities here. Rooms are kind of dated but they are clean. I was not able to shut off the AC and it was difficult to adjust. Other than that I would stay here again if I wasn't trying to impress anyone. You can park at Binz Garage for $12 overnight. Keep your ticket. You need it to get out of the garage.

Texas size folks beware! If you are super tall or wide you may want to look elsewhere. We had a room with a king size bed, and the bed itself took up 95, maybe 98% of the real estate (think standard cruise ship room). For me the stay was fine. The old windows gave the hotel some character, valet is quick and friendly, price wasn’t too bad, and it was located near the Hobby Center. Oh and for the king bed they used two twin beds and butted them up against each other.

  • 2/5 greg h. 1 year ago on Google
I think 2 stars is very generous. The best part was the valet, who greeted me and opened the door with a smile. The checkin process was slow and I was misled that it was being covered by a corporate account, when it wasn’t. The lobby looks updated but that is where it ends. The upstairs is dated and smells like mildew. The rooms are very small and the bed was old and lumpy. Things that were broken include the tv, toilet, shower head leaking, and bed side lamp. There was no view out the window and the walls were extremely thin allowing you to hear everything from neighbors to people filling up water bottles down the hall. If I had known that I was paying for the hotel, I would have left immediately, unfortunately, I was under the impression it was being covered by a corporate account from the checkin process.

  • 4/5 Marta 7 months ago on Google
Enjoyed our stay. The lobby is beautiful and welcoming, the room was somewhat small-ish but comfortable, soft towels, and an in-room coffee machine was a nice bonus. I didn’t like that they make you check yourself in on a machine - especially provided that there are two or three receptionists hovering around you. Why can’t they check me in? All in all - the hotel is less expensive than the others in the area and it’s quite nice for the price. I’d stay there again.
