The room is spacious and very clean, especially the bathroom. It has private entrance to the mall, very convenient for the shoppers. As a hotel guest, you can park your car at the blue parking garage for free. We love the hotel so much we decided to stay here for another day. We will definitely come back to the hotel again .

04/17/2022. Shooting in this area. There was a shooting right here next to shake shack and Westin oaks. Y'all be careful on this sketchy area. The shooter is still on the loose. This location doesn't really meet the expectations when it comes to a Westin and is very expensive due to its proximity to the mall. It's been recently updated, but it offers little to no amenities. The rooms were updated and drab, full of drop ceilings. So classy. Parking. It says they offer self parking. It's literally 10 spots that are occupied by mall customers... There's never any parking available to self park. Traffic. This spot is horrendously located right on Westheimer in a busy spot of the mall. It takes forever to get in Amenities. None. The mall. Unless you want to shop, it's lacking. Laugh. The LUXURIOUS lobby had two twenty dollar microwaves sitting across from their front desk for you to heat up your frozen dinners. The epitome of class.

I stayed at this hotel more than once and my first experience was great. My last experience was horrible. I used a deal and got a good discount as soon as I check in front state that all deals will be granted at check out. Look at my receipt I was charged full price. During my check out I’m loading my car to leave housekeeping in my room going through my gift basket. I asked her what is she doing? She never Showed knowledge of me being there. Walk over to her she putting my gifts in her pocket and saying she doesn’t speak English but good at stealing. Everything was reported to management and nothing was done about it. The garage level coming from parking smell like Marijuana. Security was rude to me and I’m the guest. Security did nothing to obtain my items that were placed in housekeeping pocket but said that’s normal procedures. I was quoted a different price from what the hotel charge me. The hotel only have two carts had to carry my luggage up by hand Struggling! Hotel parking is limited due to the shoppers parking in the spots. Front desk charge everybody the standard price regardless of the deals you have on file.

We stayed here for the National LCMS Youth Gathering, booked our room weeks in advance and when we got there we had to wait 8 hours to get them when we should've got them at 3. Our group went into Elevator A, not an excessive amount of people, and we were all kids. The elevator dropped a few feet, the doors slammed shut, and 2 guys in our group had to pry the door open. We called security 2 times and they never came so we had to take care of it ourselves. It's nice that it is connected to the mall, and the pool is really nice, but the couch in our room that was supposed to be a pullout wasn't. Bathrooms were really nice, but they never took out our overflowing trash We saw cockroaches there

We stayed at the Westin for 3 night and it was the super comfortable and accommodating place to stay in the Houston area. We were right next to some of the best food and entertainment for the area. Walking distance from Starbucks in the Galleria mall. Love the security with the destination elevators knowing that not any random person could walk in off the street. Very professional staff and very friendly. Was awesome with helping us with our luggage and made sure our stay was a pleasant one.

The hotel room was very spacious with incredible views! And, the hotel felt very secure with safety measures of using hotel key for elevator access that kept people from the mall just wandering the halls of the hotel. Check in and check out was quick. Great location to what we needed during our stay.

I enjoyed my stay. The room was larger than I expected and had a sectional. The staff was very nice and helpful. Bonus - they had two microwaves and plastic utensils available in the lobby which came in handy a couple of times. The mall attached was very useful for meals and there is a CVS and Walgreens nearby for essentials. Great location.

This is my first time staying in Houston, and I was very happy with my experience at this hotel. I arrived quite a bit earlier than I expected and was able to get an early check in with no issues. The room was very clean and all of its amenities were in perfect working order. The hotel itself is attached to the Galleria, which was convenient for shopping and dining (even if the Galleria itself is somewhat challenging to navigate). My only two complaints were the challenges of getting back IN to the hotel from the Galleria (the key card was finicky and I had to be let back in by an employee twice) and the price of drinks at the Street Level Bar (in hotel bar) were far too much for your standard Marriott in-hotel bar. I ordered a double pour of Woodford Reserve and it came out to $32 before tip. The same bottle of said bourbon retails for $38. I would suggest walking over to Del Frisco's for a couple of superior cocktails in that price range instead of a double pour of a mid-shelf bourbon at an eye-popping price.

A really beautiful, elegant place. I love staying here on my first visit to Houston. It is inside The Galleria and it is a pleasant experience because you can walk around the Mall and eat in the restaurants around it.

We stayed here for the weekend for a quick getaway and the room was great and clean, service was amazing and on our way out, Michael was gracious and helpful. Highly recommend.

Stayed at The Westin Oaks Houston by the Galleria for bi-annual conference. Long drive dredding having to unload luggage to get it to my room. Valet Michael P. was sooo professional and courteous! Made my heart happy to get a smile after such a long drive! God Bless you Sir! 😊

Very convenient location with easy access to shops and restaurants around the galleria Mall. The only reason is not a 5 out of 5 star is because it doesn't have a lounge, which is value for business a seasoned business traveler.

I only wish I could get a HOT shower! My only complaint. Maintenance said to run the water for a minute…… 45 minutes later still only a lukewarm shower… Disappointment at its best. Turn up the water heater. Thanks Thanks Julie but at 4am the shower experience was the exact same. Luke warm water at best after running it for 20 minutes. That is the only complaint and it could be fixed making this an amazing hotel.

Place is super nice and in the Galleria Mall. Parking is in a parking Garage under the lot. There are really nice testuraunts around including a shake shack and Cheesecake Factory. The rooms are very comfortable and my stay has been enjoyable.

Fantastic hotel. Entrance to the hotel is a little challenging. Maria Cadengo was our CSM. She was top notch and no detail was left out! The property is right next to the mall and that was nice for dining options.

I had stayed at this hotel a few times in the past. I was in town with my wife to visit family. It is a well staffed hotel with nicely appointed rooms and friendly staff.

This hotel has really stepped up their service in the last year or so. I used to be a monthly visitor and stopped staying at the Westin Oaks due to terrible customer service, but now…. They are back to being amazing. Front desk, valet, bell service is all great! We look forward to returning more often. Shout out to Maha at valet for making our trip fantastic.

Way better choice than staying at the other Westin in the mall. The Westin Oaks staff are more friendly, give better directions. My only downgrade is they don't have their members breakfast / dinner thing set up yet. But when in doubt there is always Joey's close by.

The valet parking staff is amazing. Maha went above and beyond helping me with my bags and getting me into my vehicle. The only thing I would change about the hotel is the elevator system, as it is not exactly user friendly.

This place is awesome! The only awkward part is finding where to park to drop off luggage. Valet parking is not marked well at the mall parking, so you have to ask for help. Everyone has been super helpful! Once you find valet parking, you're golden! The beds are comfortable, and the room is very clean and cozy. The mall, pool and workout room are huge benefits to stating here.

1)Shower are NOT handicap accessible. Meaning there is no bar to hold onto. I almost slipt and fell. 2) NOT enough plug ins for charging. 3) Elevators sheesh they take forever. Need more signs that tell how they work. 4) Stairs need some signs where there located. But we did get to tour the basement. Whoops we ended up in kitchen.

Useful if you are visiting the galleria but not so close to either airport or museums. There can be a long wait for the elevators - and if there are multiple events happening at the time you arrive, you can wait more than 15 minutes just to pull your car or taxi into the hotel. Room was clean and had fine amenities, although view was uninteresting.

My stay at the Westin Oaks in Houston tx, was pass my expectations everyone was so nice and helped with everything I need. The excellent service started from the moment I pulled up to the hotel and was greeted by the friendly valet attendant Mr. Jaime R he was very helpful with getting my bags out of the car and answered any questions I had since this was my first time staying at the hotel. He then showed me to the front desk where I was greeted with many more smiling helpful faces. I was then helped by another young man to get my bags up to my room. This made my stay away from home so much easier! Definitely will be returning for my future stays in Houston Tx.

1 star for the comfy bed and 1 star for the close Location to the mall. Everything else was a nightmare. The young gentleman that checked me in didn’t offer Any welcome gift for me being titanium, it was me and a friend carrying large heavy bags no one asked to help nor was there a luggage cart available. The elevators had everyone scrambling trying to get them figured out. Not to mention. I checked in under a 90 dollar rate next day I check out and charged 340 dollars, I won’t get into detail because it is too long but it started with the younger employee who checked me in. I thought I had provided everything I was suppose to but I found out after checking out that I did not. management refused to help me or honor the original rate. That speaks volumes to me. Such a small situation management could have helped me but they refused. I would never stay here again.

Very nice hotel in a very good location of town. Connected to a mall and not far from downtown at all. I would also have to say that the hotel staff were friendly, helpful, and hotel was very clean.

Nice hotel but we had quite a few device hiccups. Be sure to double check your bill before checking out. The hotel bar is closed on Sunday. The lobby bar was closed on Friday due to no staff. When we checked in our ceiling lights were broken and someone’s dirty laundry was in the closet.

First of all I would like to say that the hotel itself is beautiful. I slept like a baby. The bartender (I can’t recall his name) was AMAZING. Also, even though the galleria was extremely busy over the weekend, I felt very safe and secure. However, dealing with Kimberly Tzoc, the assistant “manager” really brought this trip down for me. I’ve never dealt with someone as rude and arrogant as Kimberly. After booking using my siblings employee discount friends & family rate, the rate was different at check in. Apparently I brought the wrong form which couldn’t be changed. Ok, no problem. The issue was Kimberly’s tone. After I questioned her about the price increase, she became extremely rude. Even going as far as telling me that if I didn’t like the price, I could “go somewhere else”. I’m a grown & degreed woman. I don’t need ANYONE telling me where I can and cannot go. The issue was not the price at this point, it was her nasty attitude. I was on the phone with my sibling at the time trying to get an understanding of the situation and even they questioned Kimberly’s attitude. When I asked to speak to a manager, she said that she was the manager. As if she had no superior. Then asked if I wanted her business card because she had “no reason to lie” about being the manager when no one questioned whether she was or wasn’t, I even told her I wasn’t frustrated with her, just the situation. Thinking that would ease the obvious tension. Nope, the arrogance continued. At the end of this dreadful interaction she asked if I had been given keys to the room already, which I had. She stated that she needed them back. I told her they were upstairs in the room with my guest. She proceeds to tell me she’s disabling them anyway. For what reason, I have no clue. I’m not sure if she was just having a bad day but the attitude was extremely unnecessary. I frequently visit Marriott properties but this stay has left a bad taste in my mouth. All other staff that I encountered were extremely kind and went above and beyond to meet any of my request.

Nice rooms with scenic views, Starbucks and restaurants conveniently located next to the hotel. For me, I had such a bad experience checking in that it ruin the experience.

Ricardo did an excellent job of taking care of my vehicle. He was very courteous & on time as time was very important in getting to business affairs in a timely manner. Excellent!

My room was everything I could ask for. The view was amazing. Being in walking distance with the mall was super fun; if we got bored, we just went downstairs. The only downside is how congested the parking lots can get, expect to wait at least 15 minutes to snap a free spot. Despite that, I would come here again if I'm ever in Houston.
