The hotel, location and service is good!! BUT.. It is really an unpleasant surprise to see that year after year nothing changes about the amount of plastic and single-use things are in the breakfast. The guest needs stop using them too. I have been in other Hyatt hotel outside US and most of them use normal washable plates, cups, and stuff. It is about time to stop generating this huge amount of waste. Please start doing something better. This is a reason for me to start picking more sustainable brands. Thanks for reading this!

I have never had more rude valet service in my life. As a young female traveling the city alone, the valet crew often spoke very demeaning and rude towards me EVERY time I dropped off or picked up my car. If I am going to have to pay $29.00 a day for parking at the hotel, at least provide respectful customer service. I'm not even complaining about the efficiency of the service... seriously, just put guys up there that are going to be NICE to customers. I will be talking to concierge to give more detail about this, because it is simply too much to type up.

We originally booked at a cheaper hotel off the highway for only one night, but as the saying goes “you get what you paid for”. We immediately looked for another nearby hotel and booked for an early check-in at Hyatt. The room was available less than 30 minutes after the booking. The staff was super welcoming and the room was impeccable. During check-out Josiah was a sweetheart and truly went above and beyond to support us! We tend to travel frequently and based on our prior experience, we are definitely giving our business to Hyatt—always! It’s always an exceptional experience at any one of their hotels!

Nice clean rooms. Valet service was very convenient and the price was good considering that the stay included valet. Breakfast was decent but not spectacular, but good considering it was included. No problems during our stay here.

The receptionist was very helpful and friendly. The room was clean, spacious and had necessary amenities. Breakfast was organized with standard fare for this type of amenity and the area was clean.

👎🏻only good for a crash for one night and tight budget! Very disappointing. Low class hotel -Front desk Mariana yelled at us and kick us out for no reason whatsoever and clearly has no training for customer service or education for guests. -very loud hotel you can hear cars from the 6th floor, you can hear the other room noises, you cannot rest with peace here. -I don’t recommend this place, the reviews were accurate. -NO ROOM SERVICE MAKE YOUR BED. -No front desk or reception 👎🏻 -holiday inn have better trained employees. -Front desk Mariana and Ariana both lack customer service and fully disrespectful with guests (check the video) -no service -Be ready to be treated like Walmart. We went to the ROYAL SONESTA HOTEL HOUSTON GALLERIA and guys let me tell you, we were so happy! Go read my reviews

The Hyatt Place was quite nice for the price. The rooms are nicely decorated and modern. The bed was quite comfortable. The staff was very friendly. The breakfast is pretty basic with the same eggs, sausage/bacon, tater tots served every day, so that gets boring after 4 days but it serves its purpose. At least the coffee was good. My only issue Hyatt is charging $29 dollars for parking. This isn’t NYC. The hotel has a giant parking garage that can easily handle the cars. Parking should really be free. It will definitely impact my decision to stay here again. Please either lower the price or eliminate it all together.

Make sure to use HotelDully.ᴄᴏm when booking your hotel. They compare thousands of booking web sites and typically will have rates a lot cheaper than others! You're welcome :)! This hotel is one of my favorites in the area. I have been staying here for a long time. If you decide to stay here you definitely won't be let down. If you’re looking for a hotel that is both affordable and elegant, then you need to stay at the Hyatt Place Galleria. Close to one of Houston’s oldest premier malls as well as within walking distance to great restaurants and bars.

I had the most horrible check-in and valet parking experience. The only way to get in the parking lot is through valet parking at the entrance, which costed additional $29 and it was never mentioned in the website. The check in was on the third floor and the communication with the staff was really bad. Never wanted to go back there again

Good hotel at a good price. It's a five minute walk to the Galleria and lots of good restaurants. The free breakfast is legitimately good. Parking is $50 for a weekend, so factor that inro your budget.

Comfortable hotel, free simple breakfast. Walking distance from the gallery shopping mall. Good quality bed, nice furnishings. Hotel gave me late check out.

The room our family stayed was decent. The AC in the room was very loud. We brought our own towels but the staffs took our personal towels and not able to give us back. We didn’t have good experience staying at Hyatt Place Galleria in Houston.

The room itself, the location, and the cleaning service was very good. The only thing that could be better would be the breakfast. It was not good at all. Don't bother and just get breakfast elsewhere

The hotel is located at a nice area in Houston where you can just walk to find some solid dining options. The surrounding area appears safe for walking and pleasant on the appearance. Hotel ambience is good. Room is clean. Juan, the front desk, is another plus to my visit: the gentleman greeted me with friendliness and made the check in process was more than pleasant! I will definitely come back to this Hyatt next time I am in Houston. I like it more than a Hyatt Regency in the area that I have been to before. (For Vietnamese/Asian food enthusiasts, there is no authentic restaurants nearby. The Bellaire/Chinatown/Vietnamese food area is about 5 miles away from the hotel.)

The customer service by the valets was horrible. The infrastructure is NOT conducive with those who have mobility or accessibility concerns. You cannot go from the parking garage (once you find it) to the hotel. You have to walk around to the front door. The check in is on the third floor. The pool and gym are on the second floor. The design was frustrating. You pay for parking which I didn't know. But the valets parked a SUV BMW close to my vehicle. I almost couldn't get in my car. Then behind me was a Genesis. I am a good driver but because the vehicle was so close to my car, it took me almost 10 minutes to get out without hitting anyone. I will not be staying here again.

2 minute walk from The Galleria. Valet parking available. Free breakfast is typical of any Hyatt location. I was told room service would be available later this summer. Rooms are “dark” and I noticed my queen bed was more of a full size 🫤. This property just feels outdated, but for a rate of $144/ night I suppose that’s what you get. I must say the staff at check in, house keeping and valet are absolutely amazing, helpful and friendly and all seem so genuinely happy to assist in anything.

Don't forget to use ʜoᴛᴇʟʙᴏʟʟʏ.ᴄᴏm when booking a room. This website will compare hundreds of hotel sites and typically will have rooms much cheaper compared to others! Thank me later! This resort is the best rated in this area. I've been coming here for a long time. If you stay for a few nights you definitely will love it I'm sure! Nice clean rooms. Valet service was very convenient and the price was good considering that the stay included valet. Breakfast was decent but not spectacular, but good considering it was included. No problems during our stay here.

Hotel is nice, staff are polite, valets go above and beyond, but they mandate a valet system that is inconvenient. Not the worst but no flexibility (waiting 15min to park and 15min to leave). Seems like they could just charge the same money and let people park themselves

Super basic property and not much customer service skills by desk staff. A little awkward access to the hotel and lobby. Many other options in town to consider for next time.

I will never be back to this hotel. The only parking they have is valet parking which is $30 A DAY when you leave it over night! I’m staying for a few days so YES I have to leave my car overnight. On top of the $150 deposit that I had no clue about until I walked in the door with my reservation already prepaid! But they still wanted a extra $150 deposit! The elevator is SLOW and sounds dangerous with the way it jukes. The room had stains on the floor, boogers on the wall, loud noise from the traffic outside and constant loud noise when someone was leaving there room you could hear the door opening and slamming close all night long. Plus loud bumping as if kids were jumping around in the next room. Not happy with my stay at all.

I’ve stayed here twice in the last 3 months, and each time it was fairly pleasant and a good deal for the area. Overall, great for leisure or business if you are going to an office to work. Can’t beat the location for the price, and the rooms are clean and comfy for the most part. Check in was easy, and the front desk staff were nice and helpful each time. Each time was very quick, about 10 min max. Rooms were decent - but no microwave which isn’t so unusual for the area but still very much missed at this tier of hotel. Beds are very very firm (too firm for me), but clean. Room had plenty of space to stretch out a bit. The second time we stayed, our mini fridge was unplugged which unfortunately ruined our leftovers (as we didn’t notice until the next day), and since it’s in the dresser cabinet, it was a real pain to plug in. But - minor complaint all things considered. Valet was a bit hit or miss. They have a text message service to call down ahead of time and tells you approximately how long to wait, but half the time when I went down after the approx. time, they’d tell me the service was broken and they never got my message. There’s usually only 1 or 2 employees so when large groups are checking in or out, it can be hectic (first stay, it was several military groups, second stay it was groups of flight attendants— so I guess it’s a popular corporate/group spot!). I often had to wait 15-30 min for my car which had me running late a few times (including one night when it was 20 degrees out so the poor employee was shivering in his car and didn’t see my message until I came outside, I can’t really fault him there) — so just be prepared to wait a bit at times Breakfast is decent; hot and cold options, and the hours are nice especially on weekends. They have a good variety of snacks and drinks for purchase at any time which was nice considering it can be challenging to get out to a store for a quick snack in the Galleria area sometimes. (The canned cocktails were great!) The wifi was pretty subpar, though and the connection process had you wait for an ad (~15 seconds) before connecting despite being a member, which was frustrating.

Great hotel to stay at when in Houston. Very friendly and accommodating staff. My only issues were the AC and mandatory valet. The AC, for whatever reason, stopped cooling the room around 3am every morning for about an hour so it got uncomfortable at times. For the mandatory valet, I'd prefer to pay the same price ($29+tax per night) to park and retrieve my car myself. When the hotel it busy, it can take quite a while (+20mins) for the valet to retrieve your car. I really with the option of self parking was available even if it cost the same.

This is a good Hyatt Place next to the Galleria in my opinion. Staff was friendly and attentive during my stay! The only thing they should improve are the showers, where they still have a bathtub with a curtain in it. Nevertheless I enjoyed my one night stay here and I would return!

Staff seemed like every request was an extreme inconvenience, even when asking to purchase waters or food. The front desk said their food deliveries are always late and they rarely have good food. Parking is valet only - one of the least traveler friendly hyatts I’ve stayed at. The hotel manager in the mornings, he is a gem - was helpful and professional. The only reason I gave an extra star was for him. The water pressure is absolutely awful too.

So far one of the nicest places to stay when you're in Houston especially since the mall is right across the street. There are plenty of places to eat, whether you're going to pick it up or dine in. The employees here are very courteous and are very nice. Our family enjoyed our stay here. It was our family reunion. You will enjoy your stay here also.

The property was secure and the rooms were nice and clean. beds were comfortable and the bathroom was clean, decent size. It was very quiet which was greatly appreciated Maybe a 5 minimum walk to the Galleria Mall ( or 2 min drive) and accessible to major highways. - Our keys never worked. We had to get duplicates each day. Rekeying one always demagnetized the other two. that was very frustrating. They advertised self parking, had a completely empty parking garage attached, but only allowed for valet parking. the valet guys were great!!

Firstly, this hotel is definitely a 2-star hotel if not 1-star. For a 3-star hotel which charges 4 star prices for stay it doesn’t even have basics such as a bottled water for the guests during the stay. Very CHEAP I thought for it to be calling itself HYATT and not including bottled water. Secondly, The AC is so loud that I definitely thought that something went wrong in the room only to realize that the AC got turned on. Took some time to get used to the AC noise. Definitely a downer if you are going to stay with a small baby. Also, the room and bathroom are so very small. The shower is so small even for half a person to fit in. Not that I care but they don’t even give good quality shower gel. Oh and Beware of the extra charge of $32 per night as PARKING fees - not mentioned anywhere at the time of booking. Thought it was a loot for the stay. And definitely do not leave valuables in the car when you drop your car when you do valet parking because when I left my bag, the valet guys had opened the bags and searched. To my luck there were no valuables in the bag. The breakfast has not any major items in the menu and same as any 2-star hotel. Hyatt should call this and advertise as a 2-star rather than a 3-star hotel. Also I would definitely suggest to book a different hotel and not this one.

Okay quality, maybe you’ll want to keep looking though… Upon checking in, there was an issue with one of our rooms; they didn’t have the correct bed (needed 2, had conformation for 2, system had one) so we had to wait an extra 15 minutes, no worries. Once we got the correct room, it was on the second floor, the noisiest floor with some kind of banging that starts at 6:50am each morning that we stayed there. It does go away, but we were already woken up for the day. The comforter was stained, and I realize it happens, but you don’t want to see it if possible. The curtains in the pictures are not for all rooms, as we only had blinds which did very little. The room is only made up if you leave a note, and the air conditioning is on an automatic setting where it goes to 62° in the middle of the night. Both of our key cards for the room got deactivated the first night (being held separately) and we had to get them redone. While at the desk, we asked for a hairdryer which they provided because there wasn’t one in the room. There is only a valet option for parking which for us was $30 a day plus tax and we tipped every time. The staff was lovely but this wasn’t the greatest experience.
