Horrible experience! Not a 4 star hotel maybe a 1 star. So many things wrong. Smallest items no soap in bathroom. No coffee. Dirty floors. TV didn’t work. Now the big things. Parking is a nightmare. Self park is $26. We are handicapped so if you self park no elevator to the lobby. Valet is $36 if you can find the front entrance. Finally got to check in. No luggage racks because the staff couldn’t find them. Got to the handicapped room threshold to the bathroom had a large hump to get over my son fell trying to get over with a walker. No hot water! Cleaning staff came knocking at 8:00am to see when we were leaving. We told them at 11:00. They came back three more times to get back us out early. Staff was courteous. This seems like a owner/management issue.

I've stayed at other Double Tree hotels before and really enjoyed my stay. I wish I could say the same about this one. The parking situation, as others have mentioned, is very inconvenient. Self park option costs you $26 per night and the parking is all the way at the bottom garage. The elevator and the escalators leading up to lobby are both broken, so you have to walk up 2 flights of stairs to get to the main lobby. I am 8 months pregnant, which is doable but took me awhile. I can only imagine if someone is in a wheelchair or an elderly person, how would they be able to make the trek unless they paid for valet parking (which is $39 per night btw) I'm not entirely sure if this would pass the ADA act and they would probably get fined if inspected. The check in process was okay - the guy wasn't particularly helpful or friendly and I wasn't offered any cookies until I specifically asked for it. There was a charge for breakfast in the morning, not free like some of the other Hilton hotels. The room we got smelled like smoke- even though we had requested for a non-smoking room. The room itself looked outdated with popcorn ceilings, and there was a corded phone in the bathroom but it doesn't work. Not really sure what that is about. I did like that checkout was at 12 pm, instead of the usual 11 am. Price point was pretty decent, but I'm not sure if I would come back to this location.

Desk staff was rude! Room was outdated, bathtub was clogged. Very limited outlets and the ones on the lamps on the nightstands didn’t work at all. Dirty comforter had no duvet on it, just a sheet under and a sheet on top. Also we booked a queen bed room and the bed was a twin. Other than that, it was alright. But really don’t see how this hotel is 4 stars! The view was great though, I’ll give an extra star for that.

The rooms were very clean and spacious! However, the lighting was awful. The rooms are very dim and had yellow lighting including the bathroom which made putting on makeup very interesting. They do have a full length mirror which is always a plus, and the room did come with a personal mirror that had a light feature but it did not work. Overall, everything was very nice. They do charge for parking $26/night for self parking or $36/night for Valet. The parking garage is a bit confusing and has a lot of tight twists and turns. There is a lot of parking available. The staff was very nice and accommodating. The location is excellent. The price was also very reasonable! I would stay here again forsure!

The good and bad of this hotel from a recent 2-day business trip, coming from a very frequent Hilton chain user (usually a couple of times per month, throughout the US). First, the good. This is a very nice hotel with good amenities and a good location. It's next to a business "hub" that includes something like a food court, and is also next to the very large Lakewood Church (immediately adjacent) if you're visiting for that. Yeah, you have to pay to park, but I can handle that given the location. Note that this hotel is not all that close to IAH if you are flying, but if you're working down that way in Houston (I was) it's a decent location. All in all, a pretty good hotel, location and amenities (including an on-site bar and restaurant). When I left, I had to depart very early in the morning (around 330am) to catch an early flight. There was an employee doing something at the desk, who I said I was checking out, and they helped with my parking ticket since it hadn't worked to depart the parking garage. Turned in my room keys, checked out, departed. When, later that day, I realized there was a hotel restaurant charge on there for later that day (I hadn't used the hotel restaurant - at all), I called. The employee I spoke with in billing seemed somewhat on alert, as if this was a known problem or occurrence. They asked "what did the person at the desk look like" (how often do you get asked that??) which immediately confirmed my suspicions of fraud. They said they'd check and get back to me. Somewhat surprisingly (or not?), no return call and the charge remained pending. I called a day or two later, and this time had to leave a VM for someone who appears to have been the billing manager(?), again describing what occurred and requesting a call back, before I alerted the credit card company that there was fraud on the charge and not to pay it. Left name and number several times. Again, no return call. A day or two later, my charge went through (I didn't contest it) without the fraudulent restaurant charge, which I am guessing the desk employee maybe used for a breakfast or lunch later that day? It wasn't a fortune, and I was more or less resigned to buying a stranger a meal. Not the end of the world. BUT, I did expect that someone would take the courtesy to reach out to me and explain the matter. THAT is what I take exception to, and would not have expected from a hotel of this level. Moral of the story? Check you bill before departing! Would I let this deter me from staying here again? Maybe, as there are other Hilton properties in the vicinity. But it is a nice hotel and location, and save for this incident, it was a pleasant stay.

Do not listen to the bad reviews! This hotel is just fine! Beautiful floor to ceiling windows and views. The rooms are SLIGHTLY dated but they are still better than a lot of hotels I’ve been in. The hotel itself is not dated though. If you are on the fence, book it and you will not be disappointed

Stayed here for my buddies Christmas party. They have a nice setup for a party on the 20th floor. When we got to the room the AC was totally turned off and it was hot. There was no complimentary bottled water not even the 2 bottles usually in the restroom. The TV reception was flaky. The only interaction I had with service was trying to get a room number and waited like 5 minutes to even be acknowledged then just walked away because my buddy showed up. I like the Starbucks in the lobby and has a nice smoking patio. The breakfast buffet is good but not worth the price. Really convenient though and the service is good. The parking here sucks. The garage allowed us to enter with the room key I was unaware we needed a ticket. Parking should have been added to the room but got stuck trying to exit the parking garage trying to get my buddy to the airport. He tried to call the desk and had to go through an automated system. We were stuck for like 30 minutes before it finally opened. Not a bad place at all but I would not book there if I was paying, just saying. Location score is low because of self parking problems. Just found out my buddy paid 30 bucks for our bad parking experience. Come on Doubletree Hilton get your parking together.

If I could give a 2.5 I would. Hotel was in a great central location. Parking garage was super convenient though a little pricey. Overall a great hotel but the service was poor. Staff was not accommodating. Cookies were hard or unavailable. Front desk wouldn’t give us simple items like silverware. They were out of sprite and instead of offering us sprite from the bar they told us to go to a nearby convenient store. Housekeeper made the bed poorly (not neatly made at all). Lack of attention to detail. Didn’t refill basic items - bag for ice container, coffee cups/coffee/tea for coffee maker. The Starbucks was closed at 3pm.

Prime location, huge windows, very friendly staff, and free warm cookies! My room felt pretty packed compared to standard hotel rooms, but it had everything I needed. The front office is beautiful and is accompanied by Starbucks and a nice restaurant.

Had an issue because I booked through a 3rd party using USAA, front desk was patient and awesome Mr. K made me feel welcome! Room is spacious and clean and the hotel has alot of prop places for cute photos.

The hotel is average. I’m going to be honest and say I did see a roach crawling across the carpet in the hallway outside my room. I didn’t find any in my room but it was definitely gross. I feel like this hotel needs more cleaning.

Horrible reception. Stay in hotels routinely for work of whom books through third party websites. There are ways to communicate receipts findings. Front desk is not the way. Called double tree care whom very kindly explained what receipts they have and what they dont. Issue was resolved, but don’t ever lose or forget to ask for something for front desk because the lack of customer service inexperience staff Which is intended to be the face of their services will make you never chose this setting. Absolutely horrible worker. The calls need to be monitored for front desk because some of them are absolutely the worse

I had a very poor experience staying here on a recent business trip. First, the accessibility is very poor - getting into the actual hotel building is really difficult, especially if you don't use their valet service. The front desk service was poor - very slow and couldn't understand that I had booked three rooms under my name (one for myself and two others for my two colleagues). The building and hotel space itself felt old and tired - like it hadn't been updated in about 30 years. And the final nail in the coffin came 2 weeks after our stay, when I saw three charges on my credit card for $30 each. When I called the hotel, the manager told me it was for self parking our vehicle for 1 night. She seemed annoyed I would even ask. I told her there was no heads up from the staff that the parking was paid to which she just said "we charge for parking." So I told her we only had one vehicle but were charged for 3 vehicles (front desk didn't ask about that either) and she said "we'll look into it and adjust as needed ...." and then silence. Benefit of the doubt - maybe she was having a hard day. Still ... this together with the in-person experience tarnished the entire Doubletree brand in my view. I'll think twice before booking a stay at one of their hotels in the future.

The service is top-tier and the location is very close to downtown with a great view of the city skyline. The rooms need serious renovations. My toilet and tub looked 30 years old. The rooms just look extremely old. You can also hear your neighbors next door to you through the walls. I also wish the hotel had more amenities. I was led to believe the gym had a sauna, but it does not. And when we get our check-in cookies, the front desk should ask if you have nut allergies. Both of my cookies had walnuts in them, unfortunately.

I stayed at this hotel multiple times in the past and this review is for this experience only. Starting with the valet guy who was quite rude and asking for the car keys before I was able to check in and grab my language. I don’t know if he had a bad day but I had to mention him couple times not to move my car because my luggage was still in the car. The hotel staff were friendly and they checked me in quite fast. They also offered me two cookies instead of one ;). However my bad experience started when I got into the room. When I looked at the bed, you can clearly see that the bed was made but the sheets were not washed. To make the matters worse, the sheet had nasty spots all over (see pictures for details). After that, i went downstairs and asked for another room. The hotel staff didn’t believe me that the room was so bad until i showed them actual pictures ( keep in mind that i have diamond status which means i stay a lot at hilton brand hotels). Finally they switched the room which had a clean sheets and the same type of view as previous room. However, when i went to take the shower, there were no soap in the bottle and the water was barely warm at the hot setting. In addition, this hotel does not believe in COVID-19 since none of the antibacterial devices were working or had anything in them. I mean, none of them ( I probably tried 12 of them) Amenities; so I went to the gym and it’s a quite a small gym compared to the size of the hotel. Six people were working out and it was not room for me and i had to come back later on in the day. I checked out the pool but the water was too cold since is an outside pool. In summary, this is the last time i will stay to this particular hotel due to above mentioned reasons.

Definitely not a 4-star hotel. I’m giving this hotel 2-stars because of the customer service. I experienced good customer service from all staff that I encountered except the Starbucks barista. Moreover, the room was dirty. The room had an unpleasant smell. I found crumbles under the nightstand. Additionally, whenever I turned on the water, I smelled iron. The smell of the water made me unsure of brushing my teeth. Had the staff not been friendly, I would have given this hotel 1 star. All in all, I feel as though the price would have been reasonable had the quality of the room been better. Not worth it. Perhaps, I should have stayed at my first choice. I will not be back.

This has to be the worst Double Tree, Hilton property that we’ve ever stayed. As soon as we arrived, my wife immediately noticed an offensive odor as soon we entered the lobby of the hotel. After checking in, and upon arriving to our room, my wife immediately noticed stains all over our towels. One of the bed pillows had hair on it with a bobby pin/hair pin. The front desk person was swift to apologize and send housekeeping to exchange towels and pillows. My wife sprayed down the room and bathroom with disinfectant. The shower head was grossly dirty as it had some type of scales on it. After cleaning the showers, we discovered that the water pressure was EXTREMELY low. The toilet had to be flushed several times because of the pressure, and almost wouldn’t flush at all. The windows were dirty and we almost just left to seek another hotel. Even at the risk what we paid for that hotel.

The hotel was nice, but no coffee early in the morning was a real bummer - Starbucks wasn't open until after we had to leave each morning (5:45) Charging ports by the bed were helpful. The bathroom door had a stiff return-spring on it for some odd reason, so you couldn't ever leave the door open. That is, unless you happened to have a screwdriver and removed the middle hinge (which encased the spring). I definitely didn't do that though. It was, uh, like that when I got there.

God help anyone that checks in late at night here. Front representative on that shift will not greet you, will tell you no show and be uninformative on anything going on with their system. Soon on walk in, we were told no show, no rooms. Didn't even greet or ask if we had a reservation. Had reservation for 2 rooms, requested them to be as close as possible together gave us north room and south room, separate rooms across the entire floor. Horrible professionalism, none informative or proper understanding on anything. Do yourself a favor and pick another hotel location.

It was such a disappointment staying at Hilton hotel that didn’t not meet up to its expectations. Service desk reps all had attitudes that were not welcoming. As a Hilton customer I have never had this type of treatment in any of the other locations. We walked into our room and it was set at 80 degrees. Why? I will never know. It took a long while for room to cool down. Our shower experience was horrific. Extremely hot temp water even when placed on the cold level. I had to call front desk and yes it was never fixed. Two nights I had to shower with this hot water because issue was never resolved again service desk was aware and was noted. Even when going down stairs about issue I was given attitude. And what disturbs me the most that all other reps had to pause and listen to what I was complaining about. Doubletree I give you a one star. When I literally thought I was staying at a high class hotel. You did not meet a high expectation.

Day shift front desk manager is rude and he is very snooty. He has long braided hair and polished nails, didn’t catch his name. Everyone else there was great. The evening front desk people were very friendly and helpful. Rooms are nothing special and barely cleaned. Restaurant is nice and very convenient, along with the Starbucks!

This hotel needs to be gutted. We checked in and was given keys to a dirty room. The carpet in the rooms smells like mold . The second suite TV did not work. Paid for the hotel stay and now they are contacting us to charge us again. When the bank statement says it was paid. So now I have to get to someone in billing . They never answer the phone. The young manager at the front desk doesn't know how to fix any issues . Parking is terrible . They share a lot with the mega church so keep that in mind when leaving out on Sundays. Guest service is non existing. They did not honor the daily credit and we were still charged. I will never book this hotel again. I do not recommend! If you want a nice clean smelling room . Stay somewhere else .

Not great. Ended up paying well over $200 more than what we were quoted at booking. Mattress is hard as a rock. TV remote was not working and even after multiple calls and visits to the front desk, the issue was never addressed. TV sound kept going in and out. Faucet on the bathroom sink was leaking. No liners in the trash cans, which I find to be pretty gross and unsanitary. I just expect more for a 4 star hotel. I’ve had WAY better stays and 2 star hotels.

  • 2/5 Konstantin A. 2 years ago on Google
I have no idea how this place is rated as a 4 start hotel. The rooms were extremely dingy and quite gross. I’ll post up two pics I took of the room upon arrival. Two major stains. One right next to the bed and one on the sofa. Other than that the parking situation is horrible and quite confusing. Just to get to the hotel you have to drive through quite a maze. The reason for not getting only one star is because Elijah (front desk), the parking attendants I interacted with, The house keepers and the housekeeping manager were all kind, but all the front desk people (aside from Elijah) who I had to interact with on a daily basis were quite rude and gave poor customer service.

I wish I would’ve looked at the reviews before booking. They are accurate!! The room was not clean and we asked for a different room. That was met with a rude front desk experience saying they were completely booked and there was no follow up the next 2 nights we stayed. The drinks were sub par and the bartenders looked too busy to even greet us when we sat down. The price for parking is ridiculous here as well! I was expecting more from the Double Tree. They seem to be going down hill. Hilton hotels are my preference and I wouldn’t stay at this location ever again!

Excellent hotel accommodations, service, food, and reasonably priced. I have been a Hilton Diamond member for many years, and this was one of the best Hilton properties I've ever stayed at. Highly recommended!

  • 2/5 Tinita S. 5 months ago on Google
For the life of me I can’t fathom WHY parking is an additional $30.00 per night for those staying at the hotel and visitors NOT staying at the hotel are paying only $15.00. Why are we paying to park ANYWAY. Corporate Greed is a thing you know🤦🏾‍♀️. Overall, the service was amazing, the front desk and concierge staff were all so pleasant and helpful. The ONLY take away is this hotel charges fees for almost everything making it heavy on the pocketbook😟

I've stayed at the DoubleTree at Greenway several times over the last couple years and have always been a satisfied customer. I use the Hilton Honors app and check in remotely and walk right up to my room, so I've had somewhat limited interaction with the staff. But when I have, it's always been a pleasant, professional experience. While it may not be the newest property in town and is probably up for a refresh, it's always been a very comfortable and accommodating stay. The hotel bar and restaurant is excellent; really friendly staff and a great menu as far as bars go. An in-house Starbucks is the cherry on top.

hotel service great lobby rooms and just about everything else was kept very clean. The valet drivers and all front staff were all very nice and accommodating. Came here for a conference. And this is definitely the place to stay. You don't have to leave the building for anything. Very welcoming staff here. From Valet parking, front desk, room services, bar and restaurant. Trust me you will not be disappointed. Great food. Very clean rooms, restrooms. Customer service very nice and great customer service. Gratitude

It worked for one night but if you have any mold allergies avoid at all cost. Hotel is a Hilton but the rooms are a motel 6. Pros: Nice bar and the food was great. All workers were great and the Starbucks was great. Bed was cozy. Cons: The musty smell of mold and old tobacco is overpowereing. The rooms bathroom needs to be updated so bad as the roof tiles were popping up, bathtub and switches were yellowing. $26 parking was insane for how terrifying that place is. No room service available and the cookie was as hard as a rock.

No hot water last couple mornings. This morning no water at all. Room does not get cold during the day. AC runs all day and night. Old hotel needs renovations. Food at the restaurant is not good either. I ordered a turkey burger and was given something that seemed frozen for years and definitely not turkey. Pizza was worse then a frozen pizza.

Cons: Elevators got a bit wonky at times. Sometimes we'd push a button on one side of the elevator and it wouldn't work, but pushing it on the other side picked our floor just fine. Parking garage downstairs was a bit of a hassle. Pros: Great location if you're trying to get downtown. Staff was super courteous towards me. Great view of the plaza from an east-facing room. Lots of food options nearby. Easy access to and from the freeway.

Service: 4 stars. Staff is approachable and greeted guests often. Rooms: need a little love. Room service did not come in my entire stay. I had another guest's hairs in my shower. 🤮My digital key took so long to work on my door, and the parking garage exit. Location: Excellent. So close to the businesses I was visiting, shops and restaurants. One last thing. Please fix or inform your guests that elevator 9 stalls often. My coworker was stuck for 20 minset until the engineer came.

  • 3/5 K M. 1 year ago on Google
It was just ok but definitely did not seem like a 4 star hotel. It seemed pretty clean just old and run down. No shower gel in the shower (there was a container for it but it was empty), no bags in the trash cans, no free breakfast ($18 more like). The parking garage was weird for sure. Who puts a giant column in the middle of the exit down there?? Very very bad idea: (
