Booked an executive suite here for Mother’s Day last weekend to take my wife on a shopping spree. We showed up 30 minutes early to check in knowing the room might not be ready but to store our bags and hit the mall. We came back an hour after our arranged check in time (about 1.5 total hours later) with our 8 month old confident that the room would be ready as we were assured it would be. It was not. Our son was ready to eat and go down for a nap. For a four star hotel I was surprised to find the staff could do nothing to accommodate us, my wife ended up nursing our child at the daily grill where that staff claimed they were unable to sit us in the back so my wife could nurse in private. We ended up getting sat right by the kitchen. I’ve had better quality customer service at 2 and 3 star budget hotels. The inability to problem solve was a shocker. Total Incompetence. On top of that there was no body wash in the shower and the alarm was preset to go off at 4:30 am. It is unlikely that we ever return or recommend this hotel to anyone…

The biggest advantage to staying at this hotel is quick and easy access to the mall. The gym was good and staff was okay. Didn’t haven a microwave in the room and for the price… at a minimum expect that. Cleaning staff was friendly. Did have a few spots on sheets. You need a key to get to each level. Parking was in garage next door and free.

Just had the worst experience with front office manager Andrew not sure what his deal was. Instead of talking to me like a adult he threatened to cancel my reservation and was very rude and condescending. Not to mention dismissive. I've never felt more humiliated and embarrassed in my life Not sure if it was because of my race or because I was a young girl. But as a platinum elite this will be my last time recommending this hotel. Never had this treatment at hilton.. power trip!

Was here for a business trip and had beyond a terrible experience. Upon arrival I was laying on the bed for two minutes before noticing bed bugs and immediately had to evacuate the room. The management did not take it seriously in my opinion. I ended up staying the night at another hotel but had to be back the next day for a work meeting. Upon coming back the next day I asked the new management about the bed bugs and the situation, and they weren’t even aware of it which tells me they were doing nothing about it. Later on in the day we ordered food for our work meeting and I ordered a chicken Caesar salad (I can’t have many other salads since they have nuts and I’m highly allergic). Halfway though my salad my throat was itchy and noticed there was sliced almond in my Caesar salad and I had to immediately run out of the work event to get medical care. I can’t imagine having a worse experience at any hotel. Stay far away!

Hotel was nice, but we were very disappointed. Our catalytic convertor was stolen off our truck in the parking garage. We were told to park there by the hotel staff. I would not recommend staying here. We paid a lot of money to stay there and had a company meeting and they can’t have better security. It’s very creepy at night walking in the parking garage. You need to have a security gate checking in the people that stay at the hotel. All security did was say sorry it happens all the time. I will never stay here again. Hotel isn’t even offering to pay for anything.

0 stars if it was possible. Guest at the front desk (dark hair, glasses and mole on chin) was RUDE and didn't offer to send a credit card authorization after I told her I lost my card before arrival after driving from Austin. Only told me she couldn't check me in without a card. Didn't smile or make me feel welcomed AT ALL and should have better customer service for someone working the front desk. ESPECIALLY being the Westin I expected a much better experience. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND ALL BECAUSE OF HER.

This review is strictly focused on the customer service. I was driving (Uber) & waiting to pick up my customer. I had pulled into the valet area & the 2 gentlemen working the valet that evening were kind enough to let me stay there. My poor customer was lost within the Galleria & I relayed that to Jaime, one of the valets. He realized that due to the time, the door she needed to come through was locked. He immediately went to find my rider and brought her to my car. His kindness did not end there though. My rider was in her 70s, and she was extremely anxious once she got into my car. She was very out of breath from trying to find me. She then explained how she needed to stop at an ATM. I asked Jaime if there was an ATM in the lobby of the Westin & he again, guided my rider to where she needed to be. I have worked in customer service in one form or another for 30yrs & people like Jaime are hard to come by. I'm not sure if he's employed by The Westin or a private valet service, but the young man deserves a raise in pay. He is the first person people see when entering The Westin and those impressions are important. You do not want to lose this young man as an employee.

The hotel looks amazing, the room looked amazing....BUT, if a good nights sleep is what you are looking for this is not the hotel. My husband and I were kept awake late and woken early in the morning from the sound of the water pipes in the wall. So every time someone took a shower all we hear echoing in our room of the water dripping. Not to mention the bed was hard and lumpy.

I enjoy my stay at the hotel , service was great and everyone was friendly. But what made it even better was the valet parking staff. They were very helpful and gave directions and spots to go to. Help with my luggage and my car was just how I left it .The young man who helped the most was Elijah

I stayed at the Westin from June 8 through June 13, 2023. I transferred to this hotel after having a bad experience at the courtyard in West University Houston. The service at this hotel was amazing. The location was excellent. The front desk manager Amy was very professional and was very concerned about delivering excellent customer service. She went out of her way to help me. The only feedback that I can give on the rooms was that the windows probably needed cleaning. I am a lifetime Platinum elite with Marriot and really enjoyed the concierge lounge. The staff there was also excellent.! Would definitely stay here again the next time I’m in Houston.

Don't stay here. The Westin Oaks nearby is better. The front desk staff couldn't be more useless. Horrible directions to Joey's. The Oaks has a map on how to return. The front desk staff in the morning directed me to the Daily Grill. I am a Lifetime Titanium member and not once told about the 24th floor. I had to find out from another guest. Think I am gonna pass on this Westin for future stays.

The room was clean and appeared a little larger than the average hotel room. The bathroom was nice and had white tea scented body wash, shampoo and conditioner. The location of the hotel is excellent! I especially loved the fact that self parking is free in the brown garage. The downside is I have to walk along West Alabama to enter the hotel when the Galleria is closed. If there's another way into the hotel from the parking garage, I haven't figured that out yet. The pool leaves a lot to be desired. It's literally a rectangle with no shade. That's it. The fitness center has enough weights and cardio equipment to get a decent workout, but it is by no means a regular gym such as Fitness Connection or YMCA, ETC. All in all, the hotel is fine. I'd stay here again.

Westin Galleria was very convenient to stay at for conference, shopping, and finding food. However, I expected the rooms to be much nicer. I must say they were pretty average. They were clean, but the air conditioning wasn't all that great. I had to come from under the covers several times during the night.

Naturally, we were excited to stay in the Westin Galleria for the first time. Growing up in Houston many years ago, we used to be in awe of this prestigous hotel. Located in the heart of Galleria made it even more elite feeling. Returning to Houston after many years and now being able to afford staying in a $500/day hotel room was what we thought was going to be a luxury experience. Unfortunately, those dreams were shattered by the Motel 6 like experience as we entered our room. Even worse, it was an upgraded room, an "executive suite". Carpet had stains all over it, even had a large burned cigarette hole in it. The pull out beds in the sofa's were lumpy, saggy, and covered in yellow stains. The concierge service was nonnexistant. Requested a roll out bed and extra sheets and we got neither. One guest had to use a bath robe has a blanket. Roll out bed didnt arrive till the morning after. The windows were so dirty, you couldnt even enjoy the view. It was like years of water spots caked on the glass. Guest bathroom had cave like lighting. Lastly, why was there only 1 coffee packet in an Executive suite designed for up to 4 guests...Pics don't do it justice on how dingy and ill-maintained it looked for something you are paying a premium for. We cut our stay there short and found different accomodations. I recommend The Lancaster.

The rooms are beautiful, and the location is great. The hotel offers absolutely nothing special.... but it's connected to the mall which has a spa restaurants for breakfast etc. And of course the mall is amazing! The pool in the facility was a dirty after thought located at the parking lot! We could not enjoy it! No jacuzzi or anemitities at the hotel.. the cleaning staff wasn't friendly and didn't really speak English, so asking for more towels turned into them not cleaning the room or giving towels and we had to call housekeeping.

Def a 4 star hotel. Nice rooms. Thermostat actually works and is prompt to turn on or off. Water pressure is nice. There is a updates fridge in the room. The fridge has the quick cool option so that's nice. Beds are comfortable. Pillows are assorted with foam and feather. Gym is alright but limited for a 4 star. Has basic dumbbells, cardio, and cycle but no cable machines/ has a great view. The Westin lounge is nice but a little heavy on essential oils. There's a little snack bar and drink station- super nice and quaint to just get some things done. Parking is in a shared parking garage which is nice compared to some of the other hotels in the area. It's free . Easy to walk to the nearest bus stop and get to where you need to if you don't want to drive. Also, Go Rangers! Rangers clinched their W against the Astros in ACLS Game 7 while I was here so...coincidence? I think not (Ha jk) But it's a nice hotel - would stay again

OK here’s a tea in this mall. There are two hotels called the Westin. They have the exact same name the Westin. You’re most likely going to get dropped off at the wrong Westin and if you do, you have to walk a very far distance on the other side of the mall to get to the correct Westin I truly believe that one of these properties needs to change his name entirely and this is why I’m giving this place once star review

I really enjoy staying at the Westin Galleria Houston Hotel. This is like having ur cake and eating it too! With the hotel being an attachment of the mall, u simply get on the elevator and step into the mall. And this mall is very nice. Has both trendy stores and high-end stores and boutiques. Various restaurants aside from the food court. This hotel/mall is perfectly centralized around everything! Very good for a weekend trip.

The room and bathroom were clean and nicely laid out. The bed and bedding were really comfortable, which is something that Westin is known for. The valet staff deserve a special shout out because they were especially prompt, courteous, responsive and always helpful. I'd like to hope that they are paid well especially since the charge for valet parking is over $50/night. But just in case, we did our best to tip as well. I never carry cash these days but had to remember to get some solely for tipping valet and housekeeping. Speaking of, the housekeeping staff also deserve a mention because they went above and beyond to ensure that our room was serviced and supplied daily. The staff at the front desk were alright. Some where much nicer that others, which is typical of Marriot I think. Being extremely warm, friendly and welcoming is more the DNA of the hotel brands that begin with an "H". The concierge as well was great when we were checking out and helped with the many full suitcases that had resulted from having such easy access to an gigantic, well-appointed shopping mall. By the way, you can access the mall directly from the hotel lobby or from the third floor and return by your room key. It does make one feel like a VIP and might also have the added effect of making you want to shop till you drop. I'm not a huge shopper in regular life, but on this trip, I was in that mall every single day. The galleria is such a beautiful mall too, I was so happy to see Neiman and Veneta were there. Now as you may know from my other reviews, I'm always interested in how well the air flows through the room in a given hotel. So how did this one rank? Well there was only one vent in the whole space and one needs at least 2 to move the air properly. So I did have to request a fan to help move the air around, one was not available the first time we asked but on the second night we did get one. I will add that the thermostat worked excellently and the vent did blow consistently and maintain the settings I wanted. So that was great. Overall, it was a great trip. All business was handled successfully and I would probably stay here again.

Busy, noisy. Parking is crazy. Yes, it's free if you get their early. When the mall is open, parking is really hard to find. I personally found parking frustrating trying to get in and out of mall because there are so many cars and Houston does not have considerate drivers. The hotel conference rooms are beautiful.

I stayed during a "cold" spell for work. It was still warmer than my home town. I parked in front to check in. At first the valet was no where to be seen. I did not want to valet. Check in I was greeted and explained parts of the hotel. After checking in, I parked in the brown parking lot, shared with the mall, but was free. My room was clean, and cleaned every day. I was able to use the lounge access due to status. It has good snacks and great breakfast. The lady serving was great. Loved the yum yum sauce. The pool was cold, and when I went outside I luckily saw that the card reader was broken. So I placed an item inside the door so I wasn't locked out. Not sure how to get in if not. The mall was next door. Also good amount of food locations within waking distance. I'd definitely stay here again.

I had the most disappointing experience this weekend at this hotel. We checked in smoothly. Went to our room for a while and left to go run errands to get a few things. When we returned we were unable to use our key card to open our door. We went to the front desk and the young lady made a snide remark that we just didn’t know how to use the key and sent the night security guard, Mike, to assist us. Mike was very pleasant and courteous but unsuccessful in opening the door. We were told to wait outside of our room that we could sit on the floor or go downstairs and wait in the lobby. We chose to wait by our room thinking surely this wouldn’t take too long. An hour later we are still waiting so we went downstairs so that I could sit on a real seat and not the floor in the carpeted hallway. Did I mention the countless stares and questions we were getting from other guests….how embarrassing. I waited in line at the front desk to speak with a manager and was totally overlooked repeatedly. Eventually my sister walked up to the first front desk clerk and inquired why did the manager just walk past us….her reply was that she hadn’t informed him of what was happening. At that point, my sister moved to the other desk and began to speak with another young man who immediately went to the office to get the manager, Andres. Andres went upstairs to see what was going on. Once he returned we were immediately

Two night stay. On the 7th floor, ice machine not working. After the first night room service did not replace the used milk capsules in the bedroom. We had a twin bed room, the second bed was unmade, very strange. Reported both, but no-one came to make the bed during the day. A/C in the room is noisy. Note for house keeping, the soap dispenser on day two ran out of soap! The lavatory runs every so slightly, and as you have a shower the water comes out of the tap in to the bath. $6 for 1 litre bottle of water!

Location 10/10. No more than 10-20 min from all hot spot. The hotel is literally attached to the mall. Super convenient if that interests you. Cleanliness 10/10. Smells good everywhere as well. Service 10/10 everyone we came into contact with was very accommodating. Bartender was a little aloof.

It’s a nice hotel. Nothing otherworldly but the suites are awesome. Two bathrooms!!!! Anyway I didn’t give it 5 stars because IDK what Marriot hotels have against outlets. Put extensions if the hotel is old and didn’t have outlets before cellphones. It’s on the mall so if you like shopping it is convenient. The restaurant is not half bad.

We stayed for 3 nights for a convention. I left a pair of my daughter’s shoes (Uggs) in the room while we were out and they were gone when we returned later that day. Only housekeeping had entered the room in the interim. The hotel’s response was indifferent. It’s not reasonable to have to lock up every belonging in a hotel so I’m not really sure how I could have prevented this, plus they are Uggs so not anything I would have gone to trouble to secure (and how would I?). I am mostly bothered that the hotel management isn’t concerned that their housekeeping staff is stealing from the rooms. Another guest’s AirPods were stolen from their room during this same weekend. I’m not impressed, Westin Galleria.

Enjoyed staying here for a conference over the weekend. The hotel is attached to the Galleria mall with some very good high end restaurants and several coffee options. With the ability to walk to the restaurants and avoid the Houston traffic was blissful!!

Nice clean spacious room. Slept very well here. The soap in the shower smells good. I loved the complimentary juice they put up front. I would only complain that there is no microwave but you can always call the front desk and they will happily grab one for you.

The room was fine. The problem I have is with the front desk.. first the lady put a card on file for incidentals. Which is fine and perfect normal but they put 3.5x the amount they said they were on hold. Was frustrated by this but we ensured it was just on hold and everything would go to norm. Front desk blamed this on a "glitch" in the system. Checked my account two days later and the hold was gone but now they have debited the card on file for another night stay. So now I am out 400$ and they are giving me the run around with saying I have to talk to accounting to fix the problem. Accounting does not answer or return phone calls. Not sure what my next step is going to be just yet. They have no problems taking the money but do not want to fix a mistake thats

The online reservation system does not work with the on-site staff system. I requested crib and high floor online but the staff here does not receive the information. The room is large and clean. But the clock is not updated for day light saving for a week and missing body wash in the bathroom. Very difficult to find the entrance of self parking at the first time (It is brown parking. The parking entrance is right before you pass the lobby). They have a beautiful morning view from the pool.

I stayed at the Westin Galleria for a work conference. The King room was spacious with a lounge couch. The pillows are extra soft, which is good if that's your thing. The shower has full-size shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. I love that it's not the wasteful travel size containers. There's a recycling bin in the room too. The gym area is in the 24th floor, so the view is pretty nice. They have 3 Peleton bikes, several treadmills, elliptical machines, and other stationary bikes. They also have free weights, a leg press, and a lat press, and a chest press. It's a well-equipped gym for a traveler. The hotel staff is very efficient and courtesy. Every employee was willing to go above and beyond to assist in any way. I highly recommend this hotel.

We stayed for 3 nights. Everything was wonderful. The room was clean and spacious for us and our 2 kids. It was convenient that the mall was attached so we could walk down for snack. The brown garage was also quite convenient for parking, we had no issues. We will be back!
