This place is really a mess. Roaches a plenty and they have the nerve to tell you that you must leave a $100 cash deposit with them or you can't stay, even if you paid online in advance. The rooms are old fashioned and creepy. There is always a bunch of noise at all times of the day or night coming from outside, probably not even guests. If you want to be comfortable, I wouldn't stay if I were you.

Do not book!!!! We booked this hotel through hotwire about a month in advance. Showed up and were told there were no rooms available despite our prior booking and payment in full, and to contact hotwire to sort out a refund. When I contacted hotwire, they called the hotel who told them that we were no-shows, so they would not authorise a refund. Absolute scammers and I now see from prior reviews they have done this numerous times! Hotwire cannot do anything about it (I have flagged it and have been told they will look into it - hopefully they will remove this hotel from their platform!) Would give 0 stars if I could!!!

OMG! STAY FAR and AWAY! Enticed by the cheap price I booked via hotwire. Once I arrived the property looked rundown and dirty. I wanted to check in anyway. But they wanted a $100 cash deposit! I didn't have cash with me, so I offered credit card. They won't accept it, neither would they cancel and refund. I called Hotwire who tried to reach them by phone. I could hear the phone ring, but they wouldn't pick up. They just stood around with a smirk on their faces, arrogantly looking at me. So I left. Hotwire graciously accommodated me elsewhere. Worst hotel experience in my life. I travel a lot, which is evident by the way Hotwire customer service treated me.

Wouldn't recommend this hotel. The system was down when we tried to reserve a room, and no one bothered to notify us. As well as not refunding the amount that was supposed to be for the night. Even after giving all the information about getting a refund, nothing. Don't stay here, the location itself is very bad even if they say they'll refund you the money. I'd recommend getting the Better Business Bureau involved for any and all transactions that would be here

This is the FIRST time I ever felt obligated to write a bad review on a hotel. I’ve stayed at my fair share of budget motels but never have I encountered this. Small bugs and a few roaches alive in the room upon entering. A few dead ones in tub, bathroom floor and toilet. I was in an emergency and had very limited cash and needed rest before driving another 4 hours the following morning. The entering door even had broken locks, the bottom of the door was chipped, exposing the outside which I did not realize until the morning. I would of much rather slept in my car had I found somewhere safe nearby to do that but my situation called for me to deal with it, sleep fully clothed and leave as soon as I woke up. They also refused to give a refund so I may take it up with my bank. Had it just been clean and free of bugs, I would be fine. For the area just minutes from downtown, you would think it’d be a bit better. I’d avoid at all costs.

Needed this room for a night as my bath tubs were getting resurfaced. Front desk staff was friendly and helpful as they could be. Location is scary due to many homeless lurking in the area. Roaches in the room made us pack up and leave during the night. We didn’t even stay the night in the room.

Well I checked out a few days ago, If you get a choice of the Room go to 117 I cleaned it from top to bottom... It's actually the cleanest room in the place... It should still smell like it too... Remember Room 117. If ya get a chance and in the room for a minute wash the curtains too....

The ac didn't work. The room was dirty. The toilet had overflow on the floor and a glob of hair in it. The outside door had locks that all looked broken. And to top it all off I've been around the world and back trying to get a refund for a room I didn't stay in and wasn't what I booked. They will try to scam you be careful

Visited this location and first wasn't very impressed. It's definitely a fixer-upper as of now, but the pricing is still super competitive for what's offered. What really stood out to me here are the employees and the owner. Immediately, I felt welcomed, and not just through the pleasantries, I really felt like I was a part of a community there. All it took was a hankering for a cup of coffee to find out that there's a really close-knit wholesome bond shared here, and I felt it, I appreciate you guys and I can't wait to see what the future holds for this location. I'll be sure to visit sometime soon, round of applause for y'all! God bless, God loves, and I do too!

They need ZERO stars. Rm 126 no soap, no towels, one bed not the two we paid for, no TV remote, no light in bedroom area, shower tile area all broke, vanity nasty with red substance that looked like blood. This "Karen" complained. Mgr moved me to Rm 130. Moved from bad to worse. Again, no soap, no towels. no light in bedroom area or bath over vanity, burned out bulb in toilet closet and one bulb flickering, dirty sock in chair, box springs look like there is a bed bug issue, no bedding on bed no pillow cases, pillows appear nasty, room hot and a/c unit not cooling very well, feces on inside side of toilet bowl. I returned to complain to Mgr. Housekeeper argued with me about the lights. Was very sassy. She would not be my housekeeper for more than 5 seconds. As for location, coming from west to east you need to UTurn. Sign displays a totally different name outside. Enjoy the pics to follow.

The bathroom is small and dirty. hotel makes you feel unsafe some guy asked us to let him sleep in our room when we were going I cant believe it has 3 stars on google maps that is so misleading

Booked online before seeing the property. The pictures are misleading. The pics posted have to be years old. The room was filthy. Thick layer of dirt on the floor. I took one step out of my shoes & had to wipe my feet with antibacterial wipes. Homeless people outside begging for change as soon as you walk out the door. Broken latch/lock on the door, felt completely unsafe. I didn’t stay the night. Only thing missing was the roaches, & I saw one as I was leaving. Don’t even shower here, booked another hotel for the night.

Downloaded app and prepaid to arrive and my room was booked by someone else SMH at the end of the day I was glad... It's a very run down property that they claim is being renovated. The pics on the app and Google are LIES!!! ITS HORRIBLE!!! I feel sorry for the people "renovating" and trying to clean that place up... They have a long road a head of them. I will give ZERO stars. But in order to post this I have to give one 🙄

Man, where do I begin?🤦🏾 Imma just say this, if you don’t already have roaches, don’t stay here. Unless of course you were looking for an interactive roach motel, then my friend you’ve found the place. They don’t clean the rooms periodt! I paid for 2 days and they won’t give me my money back. I couldn’t take the roaches crawling on me and falling from the ceiling.

This motel is more like a stay by the hour facility. I don't know where the pictures on Expedia came from, but it's definitely not this property. The latch lock on the door was completely broken. The TV was maybe 14" - 21" and had cables running all over the room. The room itself was dirty, and the bathroom was beyond disgusting. The staff didn't care. The parking lot was full of homeless people and drugs. The parking lot lights did not work. The neighborhood was completely unsafe. We paid in full upfront but checked out after 30 minutes - handing the keys to the man in the office. I contacted Expedia to help with a refund. Oyo told them we never checked out. I called the property and got the run around from the man who answered who finally gave me the customer service # to call since he said there was nothing he could do. I called customer service and was hung up on multiple times. I tried to contact Oyo USA through their Facebook page, but they are hit or miss on answering. In short.... ABOSULTELY DO NOT STAY AT THIS PROPERTY. I will never stay at another Oyo property again because of this experience.

Absolutely horrible motel. Even for one night. My 3 children and I are currently homeless and finally came up on a little funds to get a warm room for the night. That was very short lived as there was roaches crawling on the food we bought. We immediately packed our stuff and went to the lobby or lack there of. The front desk agent was cool, told me to contact customer support. Upon doing that, they put me on hold to contact to hotel I guess to confirm what I said. Coincidentally the hotel’s phone lines were down. He then requested for me to send pics to the escalation team, which was purposeless because they still have to get in contact with the front desk in order to send my refund. It’s sickening they took our last and now we have nothing or nowhere to go

Building is under renovation. There is a new staff and new owner. The staff is trying to accommodate all the guest(even though they’re renovating). The property manager Erika does an outstanding job along with her staff. Love the new paint inside. Can’t wait to see the new rooms when you all are done.

Not worth the price: roaches, leaking mini fridge, one washer/dryer for entire motel, bad plumbing.

Worst case if bait and switch, this hotel should be shut down by the health department, got the room from hotwire.com they showed me a Radisson and Embassy Suites and gave me the roach motel, we were given room 110 the ac didn't work, but the bed bugs and roaches did, the TV didn't work and the pillows had urine stains . Like they don't care.I wish I could post the pictures on here

No water pressure. Homeless people hanging around back, and had roaches in the room I was in. Not a healthy place. But is convenient on location and plenty of security cameras but if they work I don’t know

The worst ever motel that I have ever run into in USA over the past 20+ years. It is 0 star, if that is the minimum setting, and absolutely not advertised 3 start in capitalone.com. So tiny a room, that is not a big deal. The room is filthy, and there is a bug even on the countertop of the small sink. The lobby is locked after 7PM, and will reopen after 7AM only. It is a dangerous place. I am here for MD Anderson Cancer Center, as a patient, and want to save a few bucks, and I drove from California. So, I have my own car, so no location is never an issue. Never had I ever imaged that there is such a 0 star motel. Motel 6 is much much much better that this one. Now, it is not named carefree inn any more -- it is Rest Up Inn, not sure what name it will be in a next year. The pictures look so great. I regret I had not driven here to take a look before I booked online, non-refundable is the only option. Now I see why it is the cheapest. I would not even bother to come here even if it is one dollar per night, if I had come here to visit before hands

First and last time place about to fall a part feels very unsafe and unclean. Even light is on a timer in the room.

Upon walking up to the room, the door looked like it had been kicked in a few times. Open the door, no lights except for a broken lamp with no shade on it. There was no bed frame, just a thin mattress on some metal bars and 2 paper thin pillows. The AC unit was duct taped to the wall. Outlets had wires coming out of them. No smoke alarm, just wires dangling down. There was an old junky looking night stand that looked like it was about to fall apart and a nasty stained up chair that looked like it was about to collapse. I have stayed in some low-end hotels before but that one was rough. We didn't even stay. We turned around and gave the man back the key and left. I don't mind paying $59 for a room but I mean at least have an actual bed and lights and a locking door.
