Disappointing
Experience
at
Hilton
North
Houston,
Texas
I
recently
stayed
at
the
Hilton
North
in
Houston,
Texas,
and
unfortunately,
my
experience
was
far
from
satisfactory.
While
I
must
acknowledge
the
quality
of
the
food,
the
overall
stay
left
much
to
be
desired.
Upon
arrival,
I
had
reserved
a
double
queen,
one-bedroom
suite,
only
to
be
informed
that
such
accommodations
weren't
available.
Instead,
my
daughter,
granddaughter,
and
I
were
placed
in
a
king
suite
with
a
broken
pull-out
bed,
flickering
lights,
and
a
malfunctioning
showerhead.
The
lack
of
room
upkeep
was
disappointing,
to
say
the
least.
Complaints
to
the
front
desk
were
met
with
delays
and
dismissive
responses.
Despite
my
initial
reservation
for
the
double
queen
suite,
the
staff
claimed
to
be
"upgrading"
us
to
that
same
room.
The
subsequent
room
offered
was
indeed
spacious,
yet
marred
by
flickering
hallway
lights,
a
faulty
shower,
and
a
broken
door
lock,
suggesting
inadequate
maintenance
and
upkeep.
Having
been
a
loyal
patron
of
Hilton
for
its
consistent
excellence,
this
experience
fell
significantly
short
of
my
expectations.
The
lack
of
cleanliness
throughout
the
hotel,
including
filthy
elevators
and
dysfunctional
public
restroom
fixtures,
was
a
stark
departure
from
the
brand's
usual
standards.
This
stay
has
left
a
lasting
impression
of
disappointment,
and
I
sincerely
hope
that
the
Hilton
North
Houston
takes
necessary
steps
to
improve
its
service
and
maintenance
to
match
the
reputation
of
the
Hilton
brand.
