If I could give -5 stars, I would. It’s that terrible (not bad but terrible!). We showed up at the property around noon. The receptionist told us that check in is at 3pm. We complied. When we got back to check in at 3pm, guess what! There were already 50 other people who were told the same thing also showed up at the same time. To make matter worst, there were only 2 or 3 people at the front desk checking people in. In the end, only one person was manning the check-in station. We waited for 1 hour and 30 minutes. Ultimately we logged on to the Wyndham website and canceled our reservation. It was not worth it!

This place is horrible!! Let’s start off by saying the rooms are not like the pictures. It looks like a ghost town. I stayed from a Fri-Sun. Worst mistake in my life. The room didn’t get cool unless we had the balcony door open. The room and building smelled like it has mold, and has been flooded. The toilet paper roll was broke. The water pressure was weak. The remote did not work at all. The T.V barely had any channels. Couldn’t get it to turn channels at all. The towels was stained. I don’t recommend anyone to stay here. Take your money else where. When asked for a manager I was told I had to call on Monday. Which I feel I should have been able to speak to someone during my stay but No. So once again DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!

This was hands down the worst hotel experience I have ever had in my life. After 10 long hours of driving with two toddlers, we arrived to the hotel. From the moment we walked into the lobby, the air was stuffy and smelled like mold. We should have taken this as our first red flag, but we were tired and hoped that the room itself would be different. We checked into the room, but getting to the room was a task in itself. As we walked back to the second building of the hotel, we passed the pool which was cloudy, green and uninviting. We got to the elevator, and it felt like it was going to fall through the floor. The luggage cart would barely fit. Upon entry into the room, the smell was just as strong as the lobby. The fridge was missing, the tile in the bathroom was falling apart and the toilet was almost overflowing. If I showered I would have felt dirtier after than before I even showered. I honestly felt like I had bugs crawling on me the whole time I was in the room. We ended up leaving after 10 minutes of being there & paid for another hotel. The hotel refused to refund us because they said we left the room dirty even though we stayed for 10 minutes. You couldn’t pay me to stay in this hotel. This building should be condemned and Wyndham should start fresh. I do not recommend this place to anyone.

Where do I start. It was not clean. It’s in a really sketchy part of town. They turned the water off. There was no housekeeping. They have a restaurant that served breakfast for a short time in the morning. There was a bar that is open from 4:00 until 9:00 pm. A/C didn’t cool. It’s the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. I may as well have pitched a tent. Actually the tent would have been a bit more pleasant.

Would give zero stars if I could. Reserved a room here for the Garth Brooks NRG show and mine and my best friends rooms had bugs. My pillow was covered in tiny bugs and when room service came up to check, the lady told me “this is not bedbugs, these look very small.. bedbugs are BIG. This is probably dust.” And took the pillow and left. I have actual videos of the bugs clearly crawling around on every pillow and bed. No one ever came back to check on us on so I called the front desk and was put on hold for over 10 minutes. At that point I went downstairs to ask for management. The manager said “I went in there with a black light, there is no bugs”. I showed him the video of bugs clearly crawling all over my pillow and he squinted like he could not see any bugs and did not comment on it. I’m not a bug expert so regardless of the type of bugs they were, the fact is BUGS were in BOTH rooms and no one acknowledged any fault or acted like there was any type of urgency. I was promised a refund by the manager Adam but he didn’t even request my name or give me any confirmation… he just took the room keys and said he would take care of it and handed us his card. I paid almost $200 for a room that smelled awful and had bugs.

Stayed here for a weekend during a football game. The hotel is perfectly located across the street from the stadium. First impression: From the outside the hotel looks nice and the front lobby wasn’t so bad. However there is another hotel that next door to this property. We booked Wyndham and they put us in the other hotel. It was horrible!! So be careful booking the “pool side view” option. We requested another room and the man (I didn’t get his name tried to charge me an extra $75). Finally, our request was granted and we had a room inside of the main hotel. Both properties are dated and smells. Beware of the cracks in the ceiling in the bathroom. Ms. Ann was one of the nicest employees I’ve encountered. Keep her around because definitely greets you with a smile. Also, she lets her guests know about all the amenities. The man who checked is in didn’t inform of anything

Great location when attending an event at NRG Stadium. Great Service, Very Clean. Rooms are comfortable and beds are fantastic 👌 Great views as well. They also have a restaurant and bar on-site.

We came for a football game so the location was perfect. The hotel is very dated but clean. The pool area and landscaping is lack luster but the pool itself is nice. The bar area was great for hanging out and the patio was large. The service in the bar was great and the staff was great. All in all if you are coming for a quick weekend football game or concert you can't beat the location. If you are someone who is very picky about where you stay, you should look for a different hotel.

Location is perfect for attending the NRG Stadium BUT the location is in desperate need of updating. Hotel was sold out for Garth Brooks concert and only ONE elevator was working…many people used the service elevator. The inside stairwell was LOCKED. If questioned, an employee walked you outside to an outside stairwell. Definitely a dangerous situation!! Water temperature was either scalding or freezing. For the price, I expected better quality. Would I stay at this location again? Only if last room available.

Super clean and comfortable. We had an odd numbered room which means we faced the freeway and there was noticeable road noise. Otherwise staff was polite and accommodating.

Friendly service. Clean rooms. A/C unit is not adjustable - either full on or off. Only shampoo and conditioner provided as amenities. Tissue not replaced by housekeeping. Coffee maker but no tea. Restaurant had a buffet breakfast but did not replenish food trays with eggs or fruit. No decaf coffee available. No problem getting a refund for the buffet though. Bathroom ceilings noticeably low though room ceilings are usual height.

I definitely wouldn't recommend anyone staying here. As soon as you walk in the place has a very horrible musty smell. The receptionist was very unprofessional. The rooms smelled horrible and half the place looked like it was falling apart. The lobby doesn't look too bad, but once you walk into the rooms everything is just horrible. The rooms smelled, were hot, and very outdated. The whole place just looked so dirty and smelled. None of the keys that my brother was provided with would open his room door and had to change his room 2 more times before we could actually get the keys to work. The receptionist seemed so bothered that she had to go open the door for us and was on her phone the whole time while trying to get the room issue resolved. Save your money and go stay somewhere else. For what they charge trust me you could get a better place somewhere else. Yes the NRG is so close by, but trust me it's not worth the stay.

Surprised they were not better prepared and garbages were not cleared better. Also found a large dead bird torn apart that had obviously been there for days not that far from the pool and near the Gazebo. (Coincidentally I'd think they would sweep the outer areas near the Gazebos and other areas clients/customers are walking in the many little court yards.) I would think with multiple people standing near the front desk chatting they would have people by the non automatic front doors just 20 ft away opening them for the convention patrons coming in or at least prop one of the 4 open with a door stop. Common sense is people coming to stay in the hotel will have their hands full with luggage etc. I myself had to hold the door open multiple times in back and front of the hotel for convention patrons like myself. Other than that the interior was pretty clean, staff were polite and courteous and surprisingly I'd say the hotel grounds were beautiful even though many of the outer areas for sitting and congregating were unkempt and uncleanness any time recently.

Don't forget to use ʜoᴛᴇʟʙᴏʟʟʏ.ᴄᴏm when booking your place. This website will compare thousands of booking web sites and usually will have prices much cheaper compared to others! You're welcome :)! This place is one of the highest rated in the area. I've been coming here for years. If you decide to stay here you won't regret it. Solid hotel in a great location. It's a little older and not alot of amenities, but it's clean and perfect to sleep while out exploring Houston. Staff has always been friendly and no security issues or problems with getting the room serviced. A little noisy if you stay facing the highway but it's not bad.

Hotel is outdated, right when you walk into the front doors you can smell the old odor. Check in was pretty simple and straight forward! As we’re checking in 2 people were reporting the room keys were not working. 100$ hold on you CC 😑 ELEVATOR is old, only one working in the hotel! Rooms are very old outdated smell so bad, no mini fridge! Inspected the beds didn’t see any creepy crawlers (THANK GOD) The only good thing about this place was we were close the NRG stadium and could walk there.

If you care about cleanliness & safety, stay somewhere else. You can smell mold in the halls and see it on the bathroom ceiling. The bedding was stained and the bathtub was not clean. The door didn’t close all the way and the lock wasn’t secure (door still wiggles when lock is latched). The parking lot is also not well lit at night, and the exterior doors are unlocked, so anyone can enter at all hours. I left to stay somewhere else because I did not feel safe as a single woman. The location is good if you’re going to NRG, but in my opinion even the walkability does not justify the price. I would choose the inconvenience of fighting traffic for a more comfortable experience—especially if you are traveling alone.

Pros: so close to NRG, short 5 min walk. Very friendly staff. Very soft bed. Pretty quiet for being close to the highway. Cons: Extremely dated property. Room was small & stuffy. Bathtub was dirty & had mold on the ceiling. Ridiculously small bathroom I swear the door practically closed on the toilet. Has a makeup mirror in the bathroom but the bulb was burned out. 1 bar of soap, pick if you want to wash your hands or your body. Fridge was gone. A nice little gecko came to visit us in the morning. Breakfast is not free it’s about $15/pp & it wasn’t good. Coffee was terrible.

For the price, this room was subpar. Bed was fine, but bathroom didn't have a counter so all of our stuff had to be placed on the back of the toilet or a small table in corner of bathroom. Outlet is between sink and toilet, so curling iron was on back of toilet. No toilet seat cover, so constantly worried something would fall in. The bottom of the tub when standing on it felt as if it was soft and not stable. The shower head was a hand held, secured on the shower wall so low I had to bend down to get my hair washed. No information in the room as to local restaurants. To get your room cleaned and fresh towels you have to ask. Very disappointed! If not for location, I would have left to find another hotel.

Very nice hotel. They take care of the entire place not just the public areas. The room is nice but the desk chair is cheap and broken. I asked for a new one but that one was also cheap and sunk to the floor. The bathroom is small but the water pressure is real good. There is no refrigerator in the room. For an upscale King size room there should be a fridge. There is also no laundry facility for guest use. Staying at a hotel with no fridge in the room and no laundry facility is a problem when I’m staying at the hotel for business. So I won’t be able to stay here in the future. Its a shame because the employees are all super nice and the hotel is very well kept and beautiful.

Stayed at the Wyndham NRG Park (Originally opened as the Astrodome Hotel in the mid -1960s) on a recent business trip to Houston. I'm usually a Marriott guy and this stay reminded me why. The lobby and restaurant area are nicely appointed and deceiving to the rest of my stay. I was put in a room on the 4th floor, all the way to the end of the hall. During my walk to my room, I heard the smoke detector beeping like the battery was about to die. I reported this to the front desk twice, and witnessed the desk agent telling her maintenance team about this issue. It was never fixed. The loud beeping noise in the hallway remained throughout my stay. The room, as you can see in my images, is reminiscent of a funeral parlor. The only thing that resembled interior design from this century was the bedding. Honestly, I've stayed in Motel 6 properties that were more contemporary and comfortable. Everything in the rooms need to be gutted and replaced. This should be priority #1 at this property for Wydham to update. Instead, I see them replacing the carpet in the convention area. It looks nice, but how about taking care of the 50 year old ceiling tile in the bathrooms? The staff at this property are the jewels here. Everyone I engaged with was first-class and attentive. I never felt like they didn't care. Quite a testament to the management. Well done on your ability to keep morale high in a property that needs so much TLC. My only negative comment on management is having a full bar and just one bartender running everything. I sat down for a drink one night and waited 10 minutes without receiving a "hello". I left without a drink that night and drove down the road to another restaurant. On top of that, all of your beer taps were empty except for about 3 out of 12. The outdoor pool has potential and was probably a diamond in hospitality back in the day. Today, like everything else at this property, it's in disrepair and filthy. Such a shame, as it could be the highlight of the entire property. I imagine this pool cleaned up would be a prime day pool party location. Giving this property a 2 star rating is generous. I will not stay here again and hope the new owners find some deeper pockets to rescue this bygone property soon.

I Got this room back earlier in this year and didn’t look at the reviews until about a month ago and was TERRIFIED!!! But when we arrived this past weekend, I didn’t have any of the issues that people in the reviews did. -My room was not dirty (it was outdated tho) -I didn’t have Bedbugs, I did not have any bugs -My carpet didn’t stink, the hallway didn’t stink -And the staff were so nice!!

this hotel smelled like dust and the house keeping never came during my stay, but knocked on my door twice within 20 minutes before i was going to check out. they had no room service either, so it was a weird place. definitely would not stay here again. only positive was being close to the NRG stadium

The hotel has been here for a long time. But the team here has done a great job updating the environment. The lobby and meeting rooms are large and inviting. You can tell the building is older, but it doesn’t show its age much at all. I would highly recommend for hosting a large multi room event. The hotel staff is knowledgeable and accommodating. And you cannot beat the location especially if you’re attending any events at NRG Park.

Needs a remodel STAT carpets smell, tile is dated and ceiling and walls had visible cracks. Rooms smell, doors have locks that are old and didn’t seem secure and overall very dated. Bad water leak in our hospitality suite and was surprised there wasn’t a walk through by staff before our event. The only positive I can share is that the staff was very friendly and tried to accommodate the best they could. Place has great bones and location so I’m hoping there is a remodel in their very near future!.

Being season ticket member of the Houston Texans we use this hotel often due to its location. Since Covid the condition of this hotel has started to decline dramatically. Not only do the beds feel super uncomfortable, the recliner type chairs in the room are wore out and look like soggy donuts. Seems like the started renovating hotel and gave up, it shows. The breakfast options use to be buffet style and actually good but not anymore. Last but least our room had roaches in it. Location is the only reason we will stay at this hotel.
