It’s Aug 5th. We just drove down and helped my child get things to her dorm room. We get to this hotel and the room was hot! It was like 106 degrees today. The hallway temp on the 3rd floor said 85. BTW the hallways are hot as well. I asked the front desk if they had a complimentary fan and they said no. I explained the room is hot and they go on about some new technology that is supposed to save energy. Okay that is great but the room is not cooling down and we have been in there for two hours. I returned and it felt as if I was a nuisance to the front desk. They give me a key for a different room to one of the older rooms. That room feels nice and cool. Than my nine year old spots ants in the bathroom, bathroom mirror, and on the towels. So, we have to go back down and inform the front desk again. All I wanted was bug spray instead they move us to ANOTHER room a little down the hall AND this room is hot. It’s an older room but it’s hot. It’s 10:30 pm why is it hot in the room, been in the new room over an hour, and it’s still hot. Now my teenage son is feeling nauseous. I don’t want another unpleasant interaction with the front desk again. All this inconvenience we should be upgraded to a room with cold air and free of bugs for FREE. The 3 stars is for the staff at @Eric’s Restaurant they were awesome.

We had our wedding reception at the UH Hilton and the whole experience was absolutely over the top amazing. Every single staff member that we interacted with was top notch, not just doing their job but actively solving problems and brainstorming solutions. The room rates were excellent for our out of town guests, and the ballroom was fantastic. This was absolutely the most economical place to have our 150 person wedding. They were able to do food, bar service, tables, linens, setup/teardown, etc for what many places just wanted to give us the room for. I still cannot believe it. A special shout-out goes to our Hilton event contact Brooke. She was amazing start to finish, helped us solve problems, and was very flexible in facilitating our needs/desires and pack in/pack out requirements. Our wedding would not have been nearly as awesome or enjoyable without her. I think anyone looking for a reception venue should check out this facility, and their is a nice synergy with the AD Bruce chapel on campus for the ceremony (that is what we did). Thanks Hilton!!!!

I needed a last minute place to stay after other plans fell through. The receptionist, Tiffany, was very helpful and professional. O was able to check-in at the Hilton, when all other Hotels were unavailable until 6am. The room was well kept and sanitary! Clean linen and towels, complimentary coffee, a quiet suite, no complaints! The staff also greeted whenever they saw their guests throughout the hotel as well. I would be more than happy to return for another stay.

I’m a Diamond member and the air conditioner in our room didn’t work. They didn’t do anything to move us or even get us a fan. It was a horrible stay.

This Hilton is unique in that it is a teaching facility. Let me tell you. They are doing an excellent job. The student staff and professional staff are all on point. We love staying here and will continue to come back.

Nice location on UofH campus. The staff was friendly. The rooms were well maintained. The only issue was an infestation of sugar ants in our room on the 8th floor. Strange!

Love this facility did have a questionable fire alarm but our room was not vandalized or disturbed. The wait staff was very personable and the maid service exceptional. Location made it ideal to get to learn the campus and accessible to orientation. Highly recommend

Their service was slow at the front desk and long line would be formed. To make it worse, their housekeeping was horrible in that they collected the trash from the trash can and put them in my own shopping bag and then put the bag full of trash on the counter top in the bathroom! They did it because they were not happy with the tips which the housekeeper did not take. When I called the front desk they asked me to talk to them on the second morning. I did and the girl asked me to send her picture of trash which I took with my phone. I did it by emailing her immediately and she pretended she would handle it. Not at all. When I saw the housekeeping staff again the next morning I knew no one talked to them and the front desk lady lied. She also said housekeeping was done by "students" but the housekeeper I saw was in her 50s and can not be a "student". I emailed the front desk lady again and she did not reply , because she exhausted her lies. I urged the housekeeper to remove the trash and doubled the tips plus the old rejected tip. Trash was gone and things were good. But Hilton made me sick.

Nice clean, recently refreshed hotel on the University of Houston campus. You don't have to be affiliated with the university, and can come and go, but it's basically on campus. (Take the left turn just before the maps tell you to, just after the guard shack, and parking is below on the right under the building, saves a U-turn). Rooms were clean and modern, Wi-Fi sufficiently fast, and the parking semi-secured in the underground garage. The restaurant has good food (I'm sure it's mostly probably per-prepared, but it was tasty non-the-less), and good drinks. At the time I stayed there were no events happening and the whole place was exceptionally quiet and uneventful. I'd say "chill", but that implies a "cool vibe"... this was just... there... existing.. if you want a painless, uneventful, non-memorable stay (sometimes those are the best) with minimal human interaction, this is your place. And in that part of Houston, particularly if you need to work a bit further East, this is one of the better safer options for both you and your vehicle.

Very nice, clean, comfortable rooms. The restaurant/bar was just so-so. They were out of quite a few beer options. The server was alone so she wasn't very attentive.

We enjoyed our three day's visit. Room was clean, everything was good. The view and the facilities. just if we don’t have to change elevator everytime to go 1st floor then parking, that would be great.

Hotel is newly renovated. Beuatiful decor. Very quiet rooms. Fantastic location. Staff is attentive, kind, and dear. Dining is basic but well intended. Fun being part of college campus.

Excellent rooms and staff. It was a hot day and the room was unable to get cool below 80 degrees. They moved us to a better room/upgrade for free and the problem was solved. Food was surprisingly good. Plenty of electrical outlets and basic internet is free. Underground (low clearance) parking is $20 and a day and tight but at the time there was plenty of it.

Stayed for a couple of days during a ballet competition. The rooms are spacious and clean. The staff was super courteous and accommodating. A good hotel to stay at for school or related business. The student center is right across in case you want to grab a quick bite. The on-site restaurant was OK but convenient.

Love this hotel! The restaurant experience could be improved as my last couple of visits seemed to be short staffed with a limited menu. Rooms in the original section are updated and the new section is now open. So convenient for campus activities.

We were reserved a handicap accessible room because I am disabled. On Saturday night after showering I noticed that the bathroom floor was flooding & not draining properly. I put down towels to collect as much water as possible & I immediately called the front desk to inform them. I was told we would be moved to another room with a functioning bathroom so that my husband could shower when he returned. I was also told we would be given half off our room rate for the inconvenience. I was told that maintenance was gone for the night & there was no one who could come & neither look at the bathroom nor dry the water up. Therefore while sitting on my walker I attempted to get up as much water as I could as to not cause any further damage. When my husband returned & went down to the front desk he was told they would give him another room to shower in & we would just stay in the room we were in initially. You would think they would have given us a credit for a future stay or compensated the night but none of that happened. Just excuses about construction going on & we should understand.

Hubby booked this for me and the kids for a track meet at U of H. Not used to hotels not having gyms or pools. For the amount we paid, there really should be more to this place. Also bummed no breakfast on weekends. On top of all that, we couldn't sleep due to another guest next door being locked out of their room. After about 10 to 15 minutes of them banging on their door and talking, I called the front desk to ask them if they could contact them to keep it down. It was about 11 30pm. I was informed that maintenance was they're trying to fix the door, and it would be done in about 10 minutes. It wasn't done in 10. Lots of talking, lots of slamming doors and tools being dropped into the toolbox with zero regard for guests trying to sleep at midnight. The doors allow for every sound to go through. We had to wake up at 5 30am and we all slept horrible. I felt so bad for my son since I knew he'd have a long day the next day with little sleep. I will find a new hotel next track meet with more amenities and options. This hotel was not worth the money for me. Pro- the room and bathroom were really nice and clean.

Lovely hotel. We ate at the restaurant for breakfast and that meal was good. We had food delivered for dinner. It was nice that we were able to park and go straight to our room using the app to check in and provide the digital key. The rooms were nicely decorated and really clean. Nice view of the city skyline if you are on the correct side. The beds were pretty comfortable but maybe need to be turned. But I would certainly stay here again. The staff was nice and again, the rooms were really clean. It was literally 1 block from the sports area and about 3 blocks from a nice little coffee shop. Macalisters was across the street. A smoothie king was inside the sports building. If you fence here you should know there are no bananas to be round at the hotel, or any of the restaurants. 😂

We always try to take advantage of my husbands veterans discount at this location. We enjoy it's centralized location because our son attends TSU and it's right down the street

Construction Construction confusion,Hotel has no Lobby, no restaurant to speak of rooms are not cleaned daily ,you need two separate elevators to go from the parking garage to your room it's signs are badly written or no signs at all and then they want to charge you $50 fee not to stay there the full length of your reservation no refrigerator in the room. Better planes to stay. In light of the inconvenience and construction going on in the hotel one would think they would waive any fees to offer a better experience.

Despite all the construction/renovations happening, I really loved my stay. I really appreciated that there wasn't any parking charges in the underground garage. The employees were very helpful and the rooms were very clean! I look forward to returning when the renovations are all complete!
