Probably won't stay there again. Contrast this review with my other review of a Holiday Inn near the airport in San Antonio. You will see my reviews are not all complaints. The location here is sketchy and there is no security for your vehicle it seems. There are those posters in the parking lot about locking your vehicles and keeping everything out of sight. There are also informational papers in the room about what you can do to secure yourself in your hotel room and how the hotel is not responsible for loss. Two of the entrances in the back are not functional, that's one thing. The pool is not clean. By themselves these might not be a big deal and I had forgotten about them. The room was clean and what I paid for. My problem is the treatment I got by the morning manager on Sunday, 10/23/22 when I went down for breakfast. There was a family already waiting for the breakfast area as well at 7 and the lights were off. That was ok but I asked a staff member who was behind the desk when breakfast was and she at first avoided my gaze and didn't seem to want to talk to me. She dismissed my question about breakfast as if I should have known it was from 6:30 am to 10. I looked later and the information on the sleeve for the keys said 7-10 on Sundays. I asked where and she pointed to the breakfast area and said over there. She then quickly stepped into the back office to step away and I said "I asked because the lights are off." The manager came out, didn't address me and went quickly to the breakfast room. Didn't turn on the lights immediately but told the staff member the lights were off and then turned them on. Then she turned to me as she was hurrying back to the front office and asked in a condescending tone "Is that better" as if it were an imposition for her to be asked about this. Excuse me for asking. That might be OK but then she approached me later and asked if I was staying another night because she wanted to "get her girls to service the room.". I don't know about you but I have never had any manager come and ask me about that. I think the Do Not Disturb sign or lack thereof is sufficient to communicate what you want from staff. Annoying and unnecessary. I would like to stay here again but probably won't because I expect the same manager to be here.

Extremely polite staff. The woman at the front desk with the cajun accent was very helpful. The indoor pool was a plus. The fitness room was useful with dumbbells up to 50 pounds, treadmill, and elliptical. Some of the floors had a bad odor in the hallway. My room only had 1 small bathing towel but the room was cool and the bed felt great.

You just don't feel secure their. Signs all over the place about safety. There was a form to sign at check in about no parties and such, which i had never saw at an hotel before. (I stay on a lot of hotels) The field in front was upkeep. The use a strong Air freshener the was awful, and made what ever smell they were trying to hide worse.

I drove up to 2 people being escorted out of the hotel and arrested. Can't blame the hotel for that but not a reassuring start to my stay. Checked in to my room and the TV didn't work. Front desk said they would send someone up to look at it. 2 hours later and still no maintenance worker. Tried to call the front desk but no answer. Walked down to the lobby where the clerk was just standing there with no customers and no reason not to answer the phone. When I asked when I could expect maintenance to come to my room I was told they were gone for the day and was put in a different room. My new room smelled damp and reading lamp next to bed didn't work but other than that it was okay. Don't expect a hot breakfast here. The restaurant on premises is "closed due to unforeseen circumstances" whatever that means. So breakfast served was pretty much just some cereal, fruit, and danish. Don't advertise a hot breakfast if you don't offer it! Oh, and I had to laugh when I saw a sign that said Gift Shop which turned out to have far less items than you would find in a vending machine (of which there are none) First time I've ever had a bad experience at a Holiday Inn Express.

It’s the rooms and bathrooms are nice. There is a sewer smell around the pool. And the side doors don’t work for your keys so you always have to use the front door

Used dirty tissue papers were in my room when I checked in, and I issued the tv. Only the receptionist could come in to press something before the tv works My experience, I will never lodge in holiday inn again. The receptionist was the best, he was always helpful...but no more this hotel

This Labor Day weekend was not pleasant staying here do not recommend staying at this location. The process of getting a room what not a quick process. It took over 25 mins to just check in to a room. The that was given 126 was an handicap room which I don’t mind, but there was a very unpleasant damp order coming from the room. Being tired of the process we thought it was just us until we started feeling nauseous and proceeded to get a room change, which in doing so the hotel staff that booked the room even asked if the room smelled damp. Meaning she booked a room knowing it was smelling damp. On top of that the room door battery was dead which took them another ten minutes. The pool is dirty and cloudy would not swim cannot see the bottom. Cleaning staff is the only positive so far. The new room was being still cleaned and had to wait another 5 minutes. Which was ok because this room was the way it should.

When I pulled up there was a lot of people out front. An older Indian lady who I believe manages or owns the hotel watched me like a hawk, I was so uncomfortable. Hotel appeared to be nice until I went into my room bathroom. The sink had yellowish liquid looked like mucus or urine. Plastic used cup near the sink that was unwrapped. The tub was full of human hair. The toilet was dirty I had to clean it myself. Overall 2/5 stars, I will not return again.

Check in process was smooth. The room was great and the toiletries were perfect. They had extras if you needed anything. I’ll definitely stay here again.

This is a lovely place to stay. The people and the environment is great. They are very clean, and friendly ❤❤. And my shout out to the breakfast cook. I didn't get her name but she is awesome. One if the most friendliest people I've met in a long time. Will do another stay here 😊

Clean modern rooms, comfortable bed, good breakfast. Expensive resort fee, did not use gym or pool.

I always stay at the Holiday Inn wherever I stay. I love Houston, TX but at this particular location the receptionist was not very knowledgeable. I had questions about billing when I got there and couldn't get me answers. Andrea another receptionist there overheard what was going on and she was amazing my entire stay. Andrea was very welcoming, observant and friendly. She was one of the coolest reps I have met. I felt like I had known her for years.🥰

French fries on the carpet and a cap of a disposable shaver in the bathroom... Only decaf coffee in the room... Had to call the f desk because there were kids running and screaming in the hallway and they neither had the courtesy to apologize or offer another room away from the disorders. Only cereal bowls in the breakfast place and the egg was mixed with so much milk that texture and flavor was almost like custard

Awful. The internet pics are very deceiving. Staff is nice. The hotel is rundown and glossed over with fresh paint. It’s all smoke and mirrors.

Stayed here 3 weeks except for the weekends The first week my room was made once I was in the second floor The second week, my rooms was made every day which was great, third floor My third week, room was never made all week, which I didn’t appreciate, when I told the front desk, she told me it’s by option of person staying and I mentioned about how it was taken cared of the first 2 weeeks, didn’t really care. Breakfast was decent, rooms are fine, free laundry, lots of food options around Would’ve given 4-5 stars but the last week ruined it

Stayed 5 days. No one ever answered the phone at the front desk. They put me in the wrong room and said they would get me moved. Never happened. My room sink would not properly drain the water. The issue got worse and worse. Wi-Fi was really good. Housekeeping was very nice. Breakfast was pretty good.
