Great place to go explore. Lots of interactive exhibits. About 1/4 of the museum is something that you have to pay extra for so keep that in mind. The exhibits were daily clean and there were hand sanitizer stations throughout the museum. Great spot for children or curious adults. We spent about two hours here exploring all of the different floors. We went on a Saturday and it was pretty crowded. Good overall experience.

Great museum!! Lots to do and look at if you live in the area or close enough the membership is totally worth it. Each special exhibit was an additional cost. The "shows" in the theater are shown on a dome screen sit high up so you don't have to tilt your head up so far we saw the "death of the dinosaurs" I felt it could have been better I most likely won't be paying extra for the theater shows anymore but Ramses exhibition was worth the additional cost. Thursdays have free entrance hours just check their website for details.

Have been to so many exhibits here and am just so happy that this place exists. It showcases educational and historical entertainment which is hard to find these days! Great for both kids & adults. They have a neat little café to enjoy some food while waiting for your show, if you're hungry. It can get packed on the weekends, buy your tickets online!

I would rate this place a 4. We did the general admission plus the sharks. That was $35 per adult. For a big city, the admission is correct. Yes, special exhibits cost extra like $10 more, not $30 like someone said. Not sure where they got that from. You do not pay $60 total per adult, that’s just dumb. Museums in Chicago charge extra for special exhibits, no biggie. For just the general admission, you do have a few floors to explore. Elevators were working for those that need it. The shark exhibit was pretty small, I was hoping for something a bit bigger. However, you can touch stingrays before exiting to the gift shop. Rest of the museum was educational and there are cool things to look at. You can plan to spend a few hours or more there if you look at everything. Every Thursday, there is free admission from 2-5 pm - first come first serve. Parking is $30 for non members. Pretty high if you’re just visiting.

Been to many a museum in my travels and this was one was very nice. I highly recommend doing the city pass that pays for itself with 2 or 3 museum visits when you get 5 in total. Entry way and ticketing was easy and you need a ticket even if you have the citypass. Planetarium was cool and has shows a about every half hour. Lots of shells, geodes, shark area, dinosaur area.. all pretty standard for a nat science museum. Definitely a place for the kiddos to visit.

We showed up as soon as they opened, at 9am. They’ve done a wonderful job with updating the museum. It’s been several years since I’ve been there. We actually decided to get a membership this year because my kiddos are old enough now. I’d highly recommend getting there early (no lines), bringing your own food and water, and prepay for your tickets. We’re really excited to go back and check out the other exhibits later in the year and next year. The shark exhibit wasn’t worth the money and the space exhibit was basically a back room in the lower lobby. Lol. Not that I care, because the moon landing never happened. The butterfly exhibit was really cool. The additions that they’ve made to this was great to see. My kiddos loved it.

Great place to visit. There is so much to see and do for everyone. They have tons of permanent exhibits you get to check out with your ticket (you can go in and out of these exhibits all day so hold on to your ticket). Plus they have fun extra things to check out like the butterfly and the Egyptian exhibits (you do have to pay a little extra for those though still worth it). You can't take in food/drinks but you can leave and come back in.

If you have a student ID, you should bring it. If you’re a houston native and live near the museum district or just love museums BUY THE ANNUAL PASS!! It was such a great experience and definitely the best museum in Houston. The dinosaur exhibit is the best I’ve ever seen. There is also a butterfly habitat there that is worth seeing. It costs extra but not by much! This is a museum for kids and adults alike!

Love coming here when family comes into town or just on a date. So many great exhibits recommended for all ages. I recommend buying the tickets online early because the original exhibit we wanted to go out (butterfly) sold out but we still had fun at the Body Worlds and The Life Cycle Exhibit. When you buy an exhibit pass, it’s good enough for the main exhibits in the building. Remember that Thursday’s are free (main exhibits only).

Awesome museum! Unfortunately when we went both the Chemistry and Ancient Egypt exhibits were closed for repairs. Still, it took us over 4 hours to see the rest of the main exhibits (if you actually want to read all of the information). You could easily spend over an hour in the Dinosaur/Fossil exhibit alone. There are lots of cool things to see, and a few cool selfie shot opportunities if that's something of importance to you. We did not do the Butterfly Garden or see any of the movies, but if you add those on this could easily be an all day experience for those who want to enjoy what the museum has to offer. Sitting opportunities are pretty minimal in the exhibits, so definitely wear comfortable shoes if you plan to do more than a speed run of the museum. It can get pretty loud in the Energy exhibit since it's more interactive and geared towards kids. Depending on your preferences that could either be a benefit or something worth avoiding all together. If we lived in the greater Houston area we would definitely come back for the rotating exhibits, I think they did such an excellent job with the Pompeii feature. Unfortunately we don't live nearby, but I would encourage both locals and tourists who enjoy museums to come experience this one at least once.

This place is HUGE!! I recommend wearing comfy shoes because we had sore feet after 3 hours and we barely touched on viewing what was available. There is plenty of staff and guards around to ask info and help you find your way or answer photos. It is kept very clean. The bathrooms are clean and plenty for multiple people. When you walk in there are several cashiers to buy tickets and answer questions about exhibits and features. We are already planning our next visit. My daughter wants to have her birthday there.

Went to the museum this past weekend with family from out of town. The kids and adults all loved it. The richness of display from the dinosaurs, Texas wildlife, minerals and Ancient Egypt was something to see. Our tour was quick just because we had a lot of little ones who became eager to leave to go eat. Plan to go for a good part of the day if you really want to enjoy this gem!! I highly recommend this as MUST see for anyone visiting the Houston area. Even better it's minutes away from Herman park and the Houston Zoo.

This is definitely a good museum with a ton of different exhibits to see. If you live in the area, I highly recommend a membership. The special exhibits usually cost extra, but the membership will get you into most of the museum without extra cost. We went through the Shark exhibit and it was alright, though I was expecting more. Overall though, a great visit and we'll definitely be back!

It was $61 for myself, my 5yo, my 1yo (who was free) & parking in the garage ($20 non- member). We had access to the floors, but the 3rd floor was closed. We were there mainly for the dinosaur exhibit since I'm homeschooling my 5yo son. I had my 1yo and was able to park my stroller outside of a little interactive short movie "thing." Everybody was nice that worked there. The 4th floor is awesome. If your child is interested in geology or energy.. Definitely take them here. My son is a little too young to really understand things, but he did enjoy looking at everything. We brought our own snacks, and we went outside and sat at one of the tables that is adjacent to the outside of the butterfly exhibit so you could see them flying around inside their habitat. The elevators take so long to take from the garage floor to to the museum floor so if you don't have to use the elevators - don't. We had a stroller so I ended up having to go down the ramp (which they do not want you to do), but they understood we had been waiting. Definitely check the website to make sure the exhibits are open that you would like to see. We will definitely be back when my son and daughter get a little bit older.

It was a pretty descent Natural Science museum. I personally loved the mineral/jewelry section see pictures. the mineral/ jewelry section was large dark and quiet. I would highly recommend if you want to avoid kids and summer camp while enjoying natures Wonders. I like how the fossil/ dino section lay out. and they are very informative. You might found some actually paleontologist/geologist volunteering for some extra crush courses. But be aware those sections are fairly popular with kids :).

This place is amazing. It has a huge collection of dinosaurs. Huge collection of amazing shells. The Cabinet of Curiosities area was so much fun to explore and the kids loved looking in the drawers etc (though some of the drawers need maintenance). The gems and rocks were quite interesting. And can’t say enough about how detailed and awesome the energy floor was. It covered so many topics from the energy perspective and explained in great detail many of the concepts that most people take for granted. 1 day almost wasn’t enough time to fully experience everything here.

We had a lot of fun here. We only had a couple of hours to spend but you could definitely spend at least 3 or 4 easily. We didn't get tickets for the additional exhibits but I'm sure they are worth it. Everything was set up in a way that made it easy to move around even when it's packed!

Really cool place! Full with interesting history and really clean. Only giving 4 stars for 2 reasons: 1 Parking is $20 which is a lot, so id recommend to park outside or like 2-3 blocks before and pay only $5. 2 Besides the entrance fee which is $25, u still gotta pay for some exhibitions. I pay an extra $6 for the planetarium which was pretty cool but they were asking $25 to see the Ramses exhibit 🙄 and some other exhibits i think they are bet $10. Overall really great experience. Took me about 3.5 hours the whole tour.

The Houston Museum of natural science is a beautiful museum. They have quite a few different options, of places to visit at this museum, many of which have a separate admission fee. We have been several times to this museum and have enjoyed our self every visit. We went most recently to see the Ramses two exhibition that is going on. Well there of course we went to see a majority of the museum. My only detractor is the high admission fee for some of the attractions.

This place was great! We loved the Pompeii exhibit. We also went to some of the permanent exhibits the jewels, animals, and Weiss hall. It was interactive and informative and we definitely needed more than one day. We were bummed to at the chemistry was under renovation and that the planetarium and butterflies were not considered permanent and would have cost more money for tickets. I’d love to have seen an all exhibit discounted ticket. There was only one place to get food and it was extremely limited but it tasted good. Look forward to returning again at some point.

Took the kids to the HNSM while visiting Houston… one of the best Museums we have ever been to see!! There is parking nearby and has easy access to the park and museum. There is so much to do, you could never do it in 2 hours or so as other reviews claim…. Not if you are exploring and reading up on the exhibits. Take your time and enjoy all of the amazing exhibits they have put together. The kids were amazed and especially loved the real dinosaur fossils and reconstructions. Of course the butterfly area was a big hit as well. We can’t say enough good things about this place, or the staff. They went above and beyond to interact with the kids and question them and give them cool facts. Amazing!

What an incredible museum, so much to see with even just the permanent exhibits. Beautifully curated and maintained. So much to see, would recommend it to anyone. And its right next to so much more. The park, gardens and zoo all within a few minutes. There is parking available in the park that is free or you can pay for the parking garage

Great museum, lots to see. We went for the King Tut exhibit. The actual King Tut sarcophagus is a replica but it's still very interesting. The butterfly room is definitely worth the visit. Two places to get food, for a museum restaurant the food is good. Don't forget to pay for parking before you leave the garage. Pretty easy to find, there's a couple of rotarys on the way which are a bit weird. The staff is all very friendly and helpful. Wear comfortable shoes there's a lot to see so you'll be on your feet a lot.

This museum will always be a hit for me. I love the atmosphere and the amazing customer service. Only advice I give people is to buy your tickets in advance, especially on the weekends because they will sell out for their temporary exhibits. Also the lines on the weekends are huge so be prepared for that. The permanent exhibits are amazing and the food court is okay. We had the pleasure to see a movie in their planetarium called passport to the universe, the experience was lovely and something I definitely recommend if you get a chance to. Overall I always love the experience I get here!

It was truly amazing, so many exhibits to see and not enough time to get through all of them. Each exhibit has a cost of its own. I did the Butterfly exhibit, Regular exhibit and the Shark exhibit. The regular exhibit has the Dinosaurs and Egyptian history. It was great to see paleontologists there to answer any questions. The butterfly was very beautiful and loved the interaction with the different species of butterflies. The shark exhibit was great, you get to touch a little shark! I would go back to try the space exhibit.

This museum is laid out very well and we had a great time taking our grandson to see the dinosaurs. The parking situation is a little bit crowded however the $30 parking in their garage is convenient as you come down an elevator right into the museum. Would recommend this museum to everyone as it has lots of signage to tell you what's going on as well as a lot of people that work for the museum walking around explaining things and answering questions. The admission price is very reasonable I think it was $15 an adult, and parking for the car was 30 bucks which is not too bad given downtown Houston. We had a great time and the food in souvenirs were also very nice at this place as well.

The Houston Museum of Natural Science is a very large museum with exhibits and collections of dinosaurs, Egyptian artifacts, shells, space, fossils, minerals, butterflies, and much more. There is even the largest museum store you will ever see too. You can easily spend a whole day here. My wife and I have been here before and wanted to see two traveling exhibitions, King Tut’s Tomb Discovery Experience and Sharks! The Meg, The Monsters, and The Myths. There was a long line to get tickets and a person working there suggested I buy a membership where would save money. Turned out he was right where saved $30 and was planning to return at a later date anyway. First thing I suggest is to eat early so head to one of the two cafés before it gets crowded or close for the day. Afterwards explore the museum. This place may seem like a maze where sometimes hard to find what you are looking for but there are volunteers to help you navigate around. There are some impressive exhibits to see. The two special exhibits were enjoyable and educational to see. Kids would definitely favor Sharks over King Tut. We had a great time and will return to see other things like the butterflies, planetarium, and movie.

I really liked the Egyptian exhibit! I liked the interactive exhibit and the movies throughout. The game where you enter the tomb and use various tools was fun and of course, educational. The staff at the door and box office was super friendly and there were no lines. I highly recommend the family membership because anybody can use the card now. So if you have friends visiting from out of town they can use it. There is a lot to see and you will want to come back again.

We enjoyed our time at the Museum! The Houston City Pass can be redeemed at the box office window, and I highly recommend it! We spent about 3 hours, which included a n IMax movie… no extra paid exhibits. We were short on time. We parked in one of the free lots nearby which is about a 5 min lovely stroll by a water plaza. The museum had all the cool exhibits you would expect. Great place to spend the day learning and exploring!

Loved the Egyptology permanent and special exhibitions. Not sure the special exhibit was worth the extra cost . The permanent Egypt exhibit has original authentic items , whereas the special exhibit is all replicas . The gemstones gallery was fascinating and beautiful , one of the biggest displays of gem specimens in the world apparently . Great for families with kids . Not too big , not too small and very walkable with several cafes , gift shops and ample restrooms . Parking can be an issue . I highly recommend Ubering there if possible or having someone drop you off.

A very informative place, from dinosaurs to gemstones, to animal habitats and to many exhibitions, they have them all. Expected to spend at least half day exploring the place (if you like to take your time or go to special exhibition then it will be longer). A great place for family with kids, there are so many things to learn. Overall, if you are thinking whether to go or not, just GO! Parking: daily parking on site with charge, otherwise some free parking near the park.

I've been going here since my son was a toddler, and now he's 21. It was wonderful to go together today. So many great memories here. Most everything was clean and working. Unfortunately the IMAX theatre and one of the Weiss exhibit rides weren't working. It was VERY crowded for a week day, but it's summer, so to be expected One major complaint that I had...they replaced McDonald's with an INSANELY overpriced food place ($11 for a cheeseburger, $4 for fries, $3 for a soda... You have to purchase everything separately, and the prices go way up from there) that tasted terrible. I get that you guys have to make money at every turn, but if you're going to charge so much at least give decent food. Overall it's a great museum and our family has always had a wonderful time going there throughout the years.

Pretty cool place, honestly would give it a 5 star but you have to spend a lot extra when entering to see some of the exhibits and I just am not a big fan of that. The place is very beautiful and well maintained though. Customer service was kinda garbage, definitely recommend on the city pass! The gem room was by far the coolest part of the museum I think.

This museum is amazing! My group ended up spending about 6 hours here and barely scratched the surface of what is available to see. It’s definitely something that could be made into a multi-day event. Every exhibit has interesting things to look at and learn from. I went into every section expecting it to not be nearly as cool as the last and was pleasantly surprised every time when I was wrong! My favorite area of what I had time to see was the gem and natural mineral section. Pressure and time create some amazing things!

I like animals, insects and history, between those topics there is so much to see. If you like old unique art you won't be disappointed. The butterfly exhibit is super badass. You can watch moth and butterfly hatch from their cocoons. Can't wait to go back.

We were visiting family in Houston, so I took my 22 month old here, and she LOVED it. She's obsessed with dinosaurs right now, so when we went to that exhibit, she was very excited. It was our first time there, so the 4 main exhibits kept her pretty occupied. The dinosaur exhibit is 1st floor, 2nd floor has animals displayed (it was really cool) and fossils, which I'm not in to but it was nice. The 3rd floor had Egyptian sculptures. Not sure what's on the 4th floor because we didn't make it. We stayed for about an hour and a half before she was ready to leave. Which is a win in my book, as toddlers are hard to keep entertained for more than 5 minutes most days. Children under 2 get in free, but we had to pay $50 total for two adults. Parking at the garage closest to the museum cost $30, so we parked at the garage next to the museum hospital. Overall I would recommend this museum to family and friends.

If you are in Houston then u must visit this Museum. It is worth visiting by all age group perdonnel. Not only the local tourist but for International tourist also will never forget this place and it is so good that u will visit once again. Their gives / updates your knowledge on so many subjects including FOSSIL and it's mine/gem/stone/shell collection is SUPERB and perhaps it is unique in all respects. The Butterfly center is a great attraction for children and ladies. So just to kindly of see the website of the Museum for complete details because this place is insufficient don't incorporate and mention all the details. Certain connections of stones / Gems and Fossils are very rare. U will love this place.

I have 2 reviews for this museum. The first is for the butterfly exhibit. The exhibit is stunning. My 2 nieces were enthralled with the butterflies and the setting. I enjoyed watching them explore and learn more about our world. At the same time I also enjoyed the beauty of the display. My second review concerns my son’s wedding which was held in the museum. The main event was held in the lobby. With some added decorations, it was a lovely setting. Even better was the reception which was held in the Paleontology wing. It was breathtaking eating a meal amongst the dinosaurs, and watching the bride and groom dance the night away. I am so grateful for the assistance provided by the museum’s event coordinator. He was friendly and very helpful. I highly recommend the museum for a visit and for special events.

I wish all the exhibits were open or they would say when they will reopen. But this museum is incredible. We bought an annual membership after just one visit. Easy to find parking nearby. Can’t wait to spend more time here. I wish the city of Houston would invest in revitalizing the area to draw in more restaurants and make it a real destination, right now the community is pretty run down and it can feel pretty sketchy once you leave the museum.

Been coming here for decades! The stationary exhibits haven’t changed much but the moving special exhibits are cool to see when they come. Also KEEP IN MIND a good 1/3 of the place is pay to see so 🤷🏾‍♀️ be prepared to spend extra. All the museums are free on Thursdays so that will save you some money on being able to see the permanent exhibits.

❤ Sunday Funday - highly educational & recommended! $25 per adult for the "main permanent exhibits". Soooo much to see - ensure you have at least 2 hours or ideally MORE to see everything!! Been ages since I'd been last - love all the modernization updates & changes (used to bring my 21 year old son occasionally when he was a kiddo). 1st time here for my hubby.

I was pleasantly surprised how much I enjoyed this museum. I did visit on Thur between 2-5 when it was free. Pretty busy but you don't really notice the crowds due to the size of the museum. I parked at the Caroline parking garage, a few minutes from the museum and paid around $11 for 3 hrs.

I had join my sons school field trip here it was our first time visiting and let me tell you it is beautiful. They have a Lil cafe and gift shop. We saw all the exhibits from the dinosaurs, monkeys and the gems ..wow.. But the best one was the butterfly exhibit it was perfection. I will most likely go again. We didnt get to see the real mummies hopefully their be there on our next visit. I recommend to park in the garage. But before you leave you pay at the gift shop.

We explored the museum on a weekday so very less crowds. The Egyptian king tomb was special entrance which you need to pay extra $35 for entrance. We took the CityPASS which allow general exhibitions. The cafe is useless. And the restoration section staff is the best. They are eagerly awaiting for people to drop near their section to explain what they do etc.

My first museum of this type. I could have spent all day there! I loved the room of minerals. The displays were phenomenal! I am obsessed. The Cabinet of Curiosities was delightful. However, I wish there was a guide to what is displayed, especially the drawers you can open! Be sure to look up often! The main event for me was the Fossil Exhibit. It is very well put together. Fantastic specimens- teeny tiny to 'Zilla sized! I loved the lighting and atmosphere throughout the Museum. One con- it was very confusing to find a flow to walk around with in order not to miss anything. I found myself a little turned around and I definitely missed some things. A physical map would have been very helpful.

My family of 4 enjoyed our visit at the Houston museum of natural science. Parking was not easy to find, given that it was a holiday week. Once inside, we went to the counter to have out Citypass tickets scanned. The lady at the service desk was super helpful in Audi g me to find my “lost in cyber space-email” passes. This past weekend, we explored lots of exhibits. There were a few exhibits that were not on display. It was great seeing how excited my kids were about seeing dinosaurs bones, elephant, lions, and etc. Precious stones exhibitions are gorgeous. I wish I had more time to dive in more. So much to see and do. It was worth my time and money.

Nice museum to visit to learn about natural history. The Americas display has been updated to spotlight indigenous culture and people, which was very nice to see. The Trains Over Texas exhibit was awesome (I don’t remember any signage for its location in the museum, so I had to reference an email that I received from another source.

My family absolutely loved the museum! My kids had so much fun looking at all the neat exhibits. It was very disability friendly and everyone we asked for help was very kind and accommodating. All my kids are under 10 and told me they wanted to go back soon because they thought it was so cool. 10/10 hope to come back soon and explore more!

Loved the exhibits in the museums. Several t-rexs, mammoth elephants, triceratops, pterodactyls etc. I loved the quality of the skeletons. On the second floor there were several realistic animal exhibits and the third floor had a surprise toy train room (largest one in Texas). It was loads of fun

I'm a museum junkie and I love, LOVE, this museum. Their mummy exhibit was absolutely mind-blowing, catch it if you could. Also, don't miss the jewelry and gem hall, so rare that one finds that much beauty, history, and science (and wealth!) in one place. You can easily spend an entire day here, so plan ahead.

So much fun for the whole family! Even on a busy holiday weekend, the wait for tickets and the crowd was manageable. I loved the Houston museum of natural science when I was a kid & it was really cool going back as an adult. I feel like there is so much more that they offer now! Do be aware that the rotating exhibits & butterfly center & planetarium all cost extra. Come early if you don't want to pay for the parking garage.

What you need to know is that CityPass doesn't get you access into the butterfly, shark, special exhibits. I wish they did a better job of mentioning this at the box office because we didn't find out until after we walked down the floor and to the lower level of both the butterfly and shark exhibits...We weren't about to walk all the way back to the main floor to get tickets. The Faberge and Gem Vault made the trip worth it though. Highly recommend checking those out!

3 stars because PRICES ARE NOT AS ADVERTISED IN PERSON. It went from a $140 trip to $220 real fast. Just for admission. Pricing is very deceiving. In my opinion the “King Tut” exhibit is not worth the money. The hall of Egypt had wayyyy more awesome things and was included in the normal pass. Staff at the food court seemed to hate their jobs and were all rude. We went for our daughters Sweet 16 celebration and she had a good time because of course kids don’t pay attention to all that stuff and that’s all that matters to us. The website says allow 2hrs to explore but that is not nearly enough time if you want to enjoy the place. It definitely is worth going back a second time and spending the whole day there. Maybe we will encounter nicer employees and prices next time.

Myself, husband and 2 children visited the Museum this past Sunday. We went to check out the Shark exhibit. It did not disappoint! My son is currently obsessed with sharks and dinosaurs. So the trip was especially exciting for him! When visiting, be sure to bring money for the multiple gift shops and snack bar. I wish we had planned to spend more. (I wanted a shirt!) I would definitely recommend the museum. It was a great learning experience for both children (7 and 11) as well as for myself and husband! I wish I had taken more photos, but I've added the ones I did take. (Remember when visiting, no flash photography allowed!) Overall, the visit was not cheap. Parking was $30. Tickets for 2 adults and 2 children was $125. We spent about $75 at the gift shops. If you are a member, prices are much cheaper.

Our visit to the Houston Museum of Natural Science was an absolute delight! This well-organized and clean establishment offers a secure environment that focuses on providing an unforgettable experience for visitors. The museum boasts four fascinating floors, each with its own charm. Among them, the lower level (below ground level) and the fourth floor (energy) stood out as our absolute favorites. The lower level housed the remarkable planetarium, enjoyable simulators, captivating puzzles, and engaging learning games. The fourth floor, dedicated to energy, provided a truly immersive experience with its realistic interactions and hands-on activities. From start to finish, our visit was filled with excitement, as we encountered unique exhibits and explored interactive displays that catered to a wide range of interests. The museum's commitment to engaging and educating visitors truly shone through, making our time spent there truly special. We highly recommend the Houston Museum of Natural Science. Its impressive facilities and rich educational offerings guarantee a memorable experience. Don't miss out on the fantastic planetarium, mind-boggling puzzles, and the opportunity to learn about energy on the fourth floor. This museum truly has something for everyone!

Not much I can say negative. For the price you get to see A LOT. The prehistoric exhibit was AMAZING. The crystal and gem area was also pretty cool. I went early in a Saturday and it was pretty packed. I recommend starting at the top and making your way down. If you have children you will have to wait for the elevators, I believe there is only two. They have a food area also and bathrooms right by the cafe. I definitely recommend going before you start.

One of the best museums I have ever been too, Took my girlfriend on a date here and I’ve decided to buy the family membership because it was so amazing. We looked for almost 3 hours and still didn’t even have time to see everything! There is so much too look at. Some of the exhibits were closed for renovations so you can bet we’re going back once it’s completed!

This place is awesome to visit for small and big families from all ages. They also have theaters where you can watch movies and learn about science and different things as well at different times throughout the day. Keep in mind of the time of their clothing because they do not play they kick people out when it's time to close so make sure you have plenty of time to go through the whole museum because it is pretty big with four levels.

It was amazing. I went with my family which includes a 12 year old and an 8 year old. They both found things that they were interested in and we had so much fun. It is definitely a must see we went on a Saturday and it wasn't to busy we spent about two and a half hours there.

Very cool place. Lots to see. The dinosaur exhibit is amazing with many skeletons to see. We finally made it into the butterfly exhibit and there were lots to see and learn in there. Can’t wait to come back.

First time going and was a great experience. There is plenty to do for the adults and the kids from anywhere to the Human Anatomy to the Pharoahs exhibit. My fiance and I went during the mid day and it was packed to get into the museum. Many of the staff were informative and friendly. I would definitely come back to see the other exhibits as well. P. S. I would recommend parking at a garage outside the park as you will be stuck in traffic for a while.

Always good to visit the museum. This time we went to the Body World exhibition and to the butterfly area. Kids loved both of them. If you plan to visit the museum several times in a year you will probably save money with the subscription.

Fantastic museum. The butterfly exhibit was a standout. Friendly staff. The young lady at the ticket booth was such a sweetheart. I recommend going early so you can finish before noon. That's when all the children started to arrive.

I love the exhibits at the Houston Museum of Natural Science. This is one of the best museums I have visited. They have plenty of staff willing to help. The King Tut exhibit was nice. They need more tables in the grand hall for eating based on the number of tickets they sell. There are barely any tables in the lunch area indoors.

I grew up in Houston but have not been to a museum since elementary school. We went to the King Tut exhibit and SOME of the regular museum. It was all so fun and informative. I will go back for more , I just got very tired. My only suggestion would be a lower cost for the parking garage , I had to drive to the roof to find a place to park , so I'm not happy to pay $30.00 .

Great collection of fossils and dinosaur skeletons. Awesome butterfly conservatory, cool that butterflies will land on you in there. Great display of precious stones and minerals. For the extra $10 dollars I dont believe the King Tut exhibit was worth it. It just didnt have very much in it. It's mostly about the discovery of the tomb, a few rooms of replica artifacts and a few videos about it. The permanent Egyptian exhibit they have is pretty cool though.

Absolutely stellar museum. Honestly, the best natural science museum I have ever gone to. The Paleontology, Fossilized Wood, and Gem exhibits were our favorites; but the entire museum was incredible. The exhibits were large with a plethora to see and learn about. I highly recommend getting there as soon the museum opens if you don't want to be stuck in crowds. We showed up at 9 and didn't encounter any crowds until we went to exit. We will 100% be back!

This place is so big you really need open to close to see it all. So let’s start by free Thursdays. The website is not updated so it’s only free from 5-8pm parking is $30.00 if you park within the parking lot however if you can find street parking or cheaper near I suggest that. Everything in the museum district is close together. Also the up-sale is the little exhibits which we skipped. However the museum is so fun and exciting. It’s for all ages being a stroller for little ones. All the restrooms are clean all the signs were easy to read to navigate a lot of benches to rest. Overall 10/10

The sharks show isn’t as spectacular as we expected. But the Megalodon 1:1 statue inside is truly amazing! The Planetarium shows are amazing and very high quality. The permanent exhibits are all very classic. My kids love the dinosaur exhibit so much. The Second floor Texas Wild Animals and other animal exhibit look so real and cool.

It’s a great place for anyone to come inside afor a respite from the weather—and a great way to spend the day. The King Tut exhibit was much smaller than expected. Egyptian exhibit (outside King Tut) was more exciting. The regular exhibits are always a delight. Planetarium shows are a good variation and time selection. Three hour parking available nearby. Parking garage is $30 for non-members and $10 for members. Staff everywhere is always so courteous.

The special exhibition of royal jewelry is amazing. Don’t miss out! It’s my first time to witness the Russian egg sculpture with fantastic craftsmanship. Also, there is a high jewelry room at the end of the Gem stone exhibition. The dark room really help appreciate the shiny jewelry. I love the Sapphire necklace there.

I attended the evening Mixers & Elixirs event at the museum. This was the last event of the summer & I'm disappointed that it's my first time coming out! Great crowd, good drinks, beautiful exhibits, and entertaining karaoke made the night worthwhile. Food trucks added to the fun! I'll definitely put this event on my list for next summer!
