I enjoyed the food here. It was very simple yet elegant and tasty. They had really food iced tea too. One thing that stood out was their coffee shop is attached to the restaurant. They serve delicious coffee and amazing fresh pastries. The vibe here was very tranquil and modern. Delicious food. Would definitely recommend for a nice meal. Service was kind.

This cute little place was in the Hotel we stayed in! There is an upstairs (more laid back, casual bar scene) and a downstairs (coffee bar and nice restaurant). Both were great. Service was quick and friendly, food and drinks were all wonderful! Breakfast: Coffee, Egg White Omelet, Chicken & Waffles Dinner/Drinks (upstairs): Spiced Mule, Brisket & Chicken Tacos, Chips, Guac!

The food was decent. I wouldn't say that the quality matched the price but the salads were good, drinks were well-executed, and the spicy deviled-egg and hot goat cheese appetizers were fantastic! We sat outside, and, besides the homeless who tried to hustle us for money, it was nice. Our server, Troy, was on top of it! There's a separate coffee/pastry area inside that might be worth stopping by for something quick before work!

Caroline Restaurant has been on my radar for quite some time. Thoroughly enjoyed the evening- the food and ambience. I ordered the roasted corn dip and oven baked chicken wings for apps. The wings were very popular; I kept seeing them being ordered. For my main course, I ordered the hot and crunchy halibut (baby kale, red grape, avocado, lemon caper aioli). I’d highly recommend the halibut! And finally, for dessert, you may as well try all three- strawberry shortcake, blueberry cobbler, and warm chocolate cake (salted caramel, roasted pecans, whipped cream). Great drink selection as well. I enjoyed the seasonal sangria. Thanks to Madison who was a great server! Thanks Caroline Restaurant!!

Ambience is great, the staff is very friendly. The reception was very sweet in accommodating us and taking pictures too. Our server Memory helped us with picking our entrees and was very friendly. The food overall was good but can be better especially the pancakes. Also, the person who served our food seemed a little ignorant and rude and was keeping our plates on the table rashly. Overall, a great experience.

Aaron was our server, he was very nice and attentive. We went during brunch. Cappuccino and Lemon Drops. The spicy deviled eggs were shockingly good with a mix of sweet, bitter and spicy. Love the candied dried jalapeños. Great starter! The Waffles though…were airy with a light crisp and hard to step away from. Wagyu burger with runny egg and peppered bacon. My wife took the bacon off and created another appetizer. It was so good. Caroline is a great place to dine and get out of that Texas heat. Must place this location on our dine-in rotation.

The restaurant is within the Aloft hotel. They won’t explicitly call out that they include a 20% tip for larger groups, but not just that, they will also include an additional 20% ‘service fee’ for unexplained services, while providing slow, inattentive service. The food was average but considering the portion size, plating, and price per item, it was below average. Drinks were fine, but took almost 40 minutes since ordering for the table to get all of them. Food was took even longer.Maybe this is a nice place for brunch, but I am not motivated to try dining here again.

My daughter and I came here for brunch on Sun, Oct. 28, 2023, between shows at the Paramount Theatre for Austin Film Festival. It was a cold windy day and Caroline is close to the theatre. It was a busy day as there was also a civil march for support/protest of the fighting in Isreal and Gaza. The march was organized and peaceful, but that did bring more people to the area. Caroline has a unique coffee roast for their espresso. It's smoky like a campfire which made a delicious burnt marshmallow latte and a regular cappuccino. We also had the eggs your way with smashed potatoes and toast. My daughter had the chicken and waffles. The chicken was peppery and crispy tempered with a nice crusty, sweet waffle with maples syrup. The restaurant was crowded but not uncomfortable. Our table was not cleaned until we were seated. Our waitress was attentive, but the food was served by kitchen workers, I think. We will visit again! We stopped here for lunch and ate outside since it was nice weather. It was good, but I don’t think lived up to such a high rating. The sausage and egg burrito was pretty basic but my wife really enjoyed her Caroline salad with salmon. Apples in salad added a nice crunch and flavor. Sitting outside comes with cons since the street outside frequents ranting homeless people , loud car, and slight smell of urine.

Delmonico steak with fries, never seen a steak with fries but it was not a bad combo. My medium rare steak was on point as well as my shishito peppers with sea salt. Legit, keep up the great work. My had great recommendations, he was on point. I highly recommend Caroline (inside the Aloft hotel). I will definitely eat here again… but then came the blueberry cobbler. Delicious.!!

Great experience! We had breakfast, everyone was really happy with their orders: pancakes, huevos rancheros (a little spicy and a tiny bit sweet), chicken and waffles and lots of coffee! The atmosphere is lively and airy and our server was great.

The food and service were superb! We had the sweet corn cake Benedict, and it was to die for!! David, our server, was so nice, attentive and professional! He rocked! We will definitely be back here! It's also in the cutest, coolest hotel! While you wait for your table, go upstairs and check out the cool lobby and outdoor area of the Aloft.

Caroline is the ideal setting for a dinner prepared with the finest, locally produced products. The cuisine is seasonal, so there is always something fresh and tasty to sample. The serving sizes are generous, so you'll be satisfied. And, of course, the cuisine is just delectable.

If I could redo dinner, I'd skip Caroline. Don't get me wrong. It's not a bad spot, but with Austin's elevated food scene and limited days in the city, I wish I had gone elsewhere. Here's my experience going on a Sunday evening: 1) Food: The menu is large and diverse in options from burgers to enchiladas to burrata. I ordered the chicken and green chili enchiladas. Taking up the entire plate, there are three of them smothered with cheese and sauce. I expected them to have flavor, but they were bland. 2) Drinks: They have a full bar menu. Ordering anything off the menu, confused our server. That said, my blood orange margarita was well made and not too sweet. 3) Service: With an only twenty minute wait, the host and server were friendly and efficient. 4) Space: The restaurant is inside the Aloft Hotel in downtown and has a large indoor dining room and outdoor sidewalk seating.

By far our favorite breakfast on this trip. We had breakfast twice here. The tuna tacos are a must! Avocado toast are excellent as well but the best thing in the menu is the fork and knife cinnamon roll. I'm not a sweet tooth, but this was insanely good!!

Had an birthday dinner on Thursday & enjoyed the atmosphere. We started out with the shishito peppers which were great and a large portion which was nice. The blood orange margaritas were great, however, they were out of sugar for the rims. Most of the women got salads which we enjoyed, one mentioned hers being underwhelming. One ordered the salmon in which I was able to taste; it was cooked perfectly and decently seasoned however; cauliflower pilaf was incredibly bland. When it came down to service, we had to flag down our waiter to order drinks and those took quite some time to come out as well as our waters never being refilled so one of our guests had to get up and personally find someone to fill the jar. It was a decent experience, however nothing wowing enough to make this a place to rush back to.

Great location but food is average. Came here on a Sunday morning for brunch, where I ordered an avocado toast, crispy potatoes, and a mexican latte. My friends ordered the "eggs your way." None of us were impressed with the food. The vibes are cute though. I probably wouldn't come back here but the upstairs restaurant (Upstairs at Caroline's) is still a lot of fun!

Very lovely place for breakfast. We had avocado toast, breakfast tomatoes and heirloom tomatoes. Coffee was excellent, variety of nice fresh menu options available. Our waiter Aaron was nice, professional and attentive. Overall great experience. Recommend.

I've had breakfast here a few mornings this week, and well... I keep coming back. Good menu with a bit of variety, but not a bewildered number of options. Staff are great - Aaron was serving me today. Safe to say I'll be back again on this trip..

Aaron was such a great server! Very knowledgeable and attentive. Food was great and the patio seating was soooo lovely! Definitely recommend!

I was able to sit at the bar with a friend with very little wait (mid-morning on a Sunday!). The staff were great; the place was clearly busy, and they were working together to check in on tables and make sure everyone was being served in a timely manner. The food was great as well-- the chicken and waffles hit the spot, and the toasted marshmallow latte was a treat!

Checking this place for the first time and it didn't disappoint. Food was great and the service was perfect, our waiter Aaron really took great care and was always attentive.
