If you want to experience a ‘High Tea’, The Inn on Negley is a wonderful option. This excursion was a birthday present for a friend. Everyone had such a great time. So much so that they will most likely return in the winter to stay a few nights and enjoy all the perks the Inn has to offer. They want to see how everything will be decorated for the holidays. Everyone (especially our server Carol) was gracious, friendly and attentive. I didn’t know what to expect and it was pretty fun. Completely enjoyable experience. The Inn is adorable and elegantly decorated. The teas are delicious and there are so many to choose from, you can’t possibly try them all. So cute.

The ambiance was very peaceful and conducive to conversation. Beautifully decorated rooms, but the flatware, dishes, and tea pots were lacking quality. Food, while presented very well, missed on flavor and complexity. The server was very sweet and helpful. She changed out my flasa immediately when I showed her it was dirty. My plate had old egg on it too. I was showing a friend what a High Tea was because I love them and find one whenever I travel. This facility should stick to being an Inn as it was a poor tea experience.

My wife and I stayed here while we were in town for a wedding over Memorial Day weekend and loved our stay. Our room was nicely furnished, extremely clean, and the bed and pillows were comfortable. The breakfast was delicious and filling, with several options to choose from- they will also serve breakfast outside on their outdoor patio weather permitting. We also enjoyed the complimentary wine in the evening (served 4-7ish on weekends), cheese boards, and tea. This is all in the context of nice and welcoming service. We had an issue with our shower drain, but it didn’t detract from our overall stay. Overall, I would recommend as a great B&B.

Love this place! My husband took me for high tea for my birthday last year and we had an amazing experience-so many teas to try and the food was incredible. We went back this year for cookies and cocoa (they have the best hot chocolate!) and we were just as pleased. John was so pleasant and welcoming. Hoping to be back for brunch next time!

My sister wanted a lowkey and relaxing weekend to celebrate her bachelorette, just the two of us. We had an all-around wonderful experience. The entire staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. The brunch and afternoon tea were delicious. The room was comfortable and clean. We had in-room massages that were incredible. It was nice to have on-site parking and we were in walking distance of all the restaurants and shops we wanted to visit. We didn't want to leave and are already talking about returning. Highly recommend The Inn on Negley.

Had the loveliest time at high tea for Mother's day. The atmosphere was so beautiful and elegant and staff was friendly and helpful. I informed the chef two people in our party were vegetarians and they made sure to accommodate and offer us separate options. There was a great selection of tea to choose from and the food was delicious. The scones and cucumber sandwiches were fantastic. Presentation was gorgeous. They even have tea selections to purchase. You're guaranteed to have a special time if you come for high tea. My family and I will definitely be making this a tradition.

I did not stay here but attended a baby shower. The food and service were both excellent, and I would highly recommend The Inn for a small hosted event. It was a lovely experience!

I have not had the pleasure of staying at the Inn on Negley yet, but I hope to soon. The rooms are cute, well decorated and homey! I've only visited for afternoon tea, which is fantastic! The staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. This place is absolutely beautiful and so quaint. I definitely recommend to anyone!

Everything about our 2 night stay in the Cortland Suite and the event we hosted in early October at The Inn on Negley was amazing. My wife and I hosted a couples baby shower for my daughter and her husband and their friends. From the onset, the staff were friendly and very responsive to our interests in planning the Sunday baby shower. We selected the high tea service for the afternoon event. The room accommodated the 20 attendees very comfortably and the tables set with linens and china were reminiscent of days gone by -- just perfect for high tea. The staff, chef, and owner were welcoming, professional, and made the flow of the 2 hour event so smooth. Everyone loved the atmosphere, the service, and lingered to soak up the ambience of this lovely Inn. Our rooms were absolutely the best we have experienced in our travels. The breakfasts were amazing.

Beautiful, clean, lots of thoughtful touches that make staying somewhere feel extra special. Outstanding and friendly staff who were superb at communicating with us and accommodating our every want. Location is close to everywhere we wanted to go- stadiums, museums, and adorable local shops. And the food was EXCELLENT. We can’t wait to stay here again!

We came for High Tea and the staff was very accommodating for our vegetarian (and 1 vegan) diet. Very beautiful interior with old style decor but modern lighting. The food was delicious!

My dearest friend and I just experienced the best high tea at the Inn on Negley. The chef was wonderful in accommodating my gluten free needs. All the treats were delicious especially the scones. The staff were all professional and extremely pleasant. I'll look forward to another visit to the Inn on Negley.

Quaint inn and perfect place to host a gathering for High tea. Servers were kind and accommodating. Many different hot or iced teas to choose from, loose leaf or bagged. Food was absolutely Devine! Cute outdoor porch area to enjoy the weather and nestled in the back away from the busy street so very comfortable to hold quiet conversations.

It was my grandmother’s 85th birthday and it couldn’t have been more amazing! The chef prepared a perfect tier of Hors d’oeuvres filled by scones and small deserts! Our server Jess was immaculate!! So friendly, so involved and so sweet! I would recommend her to anyone. It was my first high tea experience and I couldn’t be happier. 10/10 thank you for having us! It was beautiful and amazing!

This is the perfect place to stay for a little getaway. The inn itself was beautiful and quaint. The staff were all very kind and accommodating. Breakfast was delicious and it was very nice to enjoy it on the back patio. We were surprised to be offered afternoon wine and cookies as well. The location was a short walking distance to many little shops and restaurants and very close to buses if you need to get downtown. We would definitely stay here again and have already recommended it to friends!

Celebrated my birthday with an English Tea . It was great . Finger sandwiches , scones with crème fraise , assorted desserts and so many different types of tea. Pomegranate Oolong my favorite . Service was perfect . In a beautiful setting of antique furniture , blooming garden , and porcelain tea set .. it was an awesome Birthday .

The Inn on Negley was my first bed and breakfast but I do not see how others could compare. It is in a beautiful home in the Shadyside neighborhood and withing walking distance of almost everything. The rooms were clean and the staff was amazing. They worked with my husbands dietary needs of gluten free and dairy free with no issues. We will definitely be staying here again.

The Inn is cute and clean. Staff is welcoming and accommodating. I really enjoyed my stay in the Granny Smith room. This was my 2nd time staying in a B&B and will definitely not be my last. Great value for wonderful amenities! I enjoyed my breakfast both days. Afternoon tea is a bit pricey but tasty if you have the time and budget. I don’t usually like scones (usually too dry) but ate ALL the scones provided. The Inn is 2 blocks from many local and national shops and restaurants in Shadyside. About 6 mins drive to Carnegie Art and Natural History Museum and Phipps Conservatory

We had a holiday high tea service here for the past few years. It is a lovely curated, cozy Victorian environment, attentive staff, delicious tea party goodies, and a large variety of teas and beverages. Highly recommended!
