We come here for all family birthdays and Saturday was no exception. My husband is turning 50 and this is where he wanted to go. We reserved the Royal Room and got the big family platters. Everything was amazing as always and our server was VERY attentive. You want the best, most authentic Mediterranean food? This is the #1 place in all of Houston. The Owner even comes and checks on you and he has even took a few minutes to share a cup of coffee with us. Very friendly and genuinely cares about your experience. If I could give more than 5 stars I would!

We ordered the mixed grill platter it’s sufficient for 5 adults. It’s got chicken, lamb & beef Kababs all On wood fire. Was served with bread, rice , salad. It was plenty for our group of 5. I’d highly recommend it’s a must try.

Delicious. I have had the blessings of visiting nice restaurants in Middle East and Egypt. The Lebanese flavor is deeply appreciated for my heart. Just found this place in Houston and so glad to enjoy this great taste once again.

Phenomenal food and service. Came for lunch and found the dishes to be both delicious and affordable. For about 13 dollars, I got bread, hummus, lamb kabob, and rice. My waiter was very friendly and so was the person who greeted me at the door. I felt very welcome and their uplifting personalities brightened up my day. The restaurant was also very clean and I enjoyed the decor

We loved Sayad, it has been almost 8 years since I have been eating Mediterranean food at this restaurant. They have very quick service and the quality and the quantity of the food is amazing!

Since 2001 Sayad is the top Mediterranean Restaurant where we never got any complaint when we are considering the customer service, quality of food or the wait of time, it’s always giving us full satisfaction, we are going as a couple or as a group family gathering. Please do consider this restaurant if you like Mediterranean food.

Love the new place much more than the one before. The staff is nice and welcoming. Almost everything on the menu is now wood fired which is the best thing they could have done to their already great food. No other restaurant in Houston (and I mean it) has better naan. What I personally liked the most about their new place is the pictures of the GCC countries on a wall which transported me back home! Lastly, they also provide free copies of Qur’an translation which is very thoughtful.

I recently visited the newly relocated Sayyad Grill on Eldridge and Westheimer. The food remains outstanding, but they've certainly stepped up in terms of presentation. The parking situation has also seen an improvement. We went there for an office lunch, and the ambiance was delightful. We indulged in their Mediterranean offerings, opting for the family platter, grilled chicken tikka, and hummus. Highly recommended!

Saber is very courteous and accomodating. Keep up the good work! We loved everything we ate. Very flavorful and felt like we are back in Dubai. The atmosphere and the theme of the restaurant is very Meditterenean. We will defintely come back and try all the other dishes. Shukran Katir!

The Vegetarian sampler plate was very good. This had hummus and baba ganoush too. The falafel appetizer plate was equally amazing. The mint lemonade helped on the drinks side.

The cheese rolled burek is a good appetizer ! Kind of like a cheese roll! The garlic sauce and chili sauce is so good with the rice! The food is amazing! The family platter can feed like 8-9 people! It comes with beef skewers, chciken pieces, gyro beef and chicken meat , and pita bread .

Only got one pic and missed the hummus because I was busy stuffing my face. The food is always yummy. I’ve never tried their buffet, maybe one day but this is our family go to meal. We always have enough left over for another meal the next day. The mint lemonade is my favorite, my husband loves it too. It’s so refreshing and yummy. Best tasting virgin Mojito ever. The different meats and flavors are phenomenal, it’s like a party in my mouth. I love Mediterranean food and this is the best. I always have to make a stop at Sayyad when I’m in Houston, definitely worth the visit.

‏I've been here a few times now and it is delicious, but last time it was very wonderful. They have a new employee I hope I pronounced his name correctly, Saber! He was very nice and suggested new dishes to us, and they were very delicious

Enjoyed our visit here. Food was tasty, and service was fast and friendly. The fruit cocktail drink is probably one of the best we’ve had in years (real fruit in it and almost like a dessert…very good!)

Nice place, clean and friendly. The food wasn't what expected, food was cold. I think they were short handed. Need to revisit again.

EDIT: I gave it another shot and the food and service was excellent. Updating review to 5 stars. Usually every time I have went it was a great experience, however last night was terrible. The meat was bland and burnt. Rice was also old did not taste good. Waiter also partially gave us the incorrect order and was not attentive to table.

The food was very good, but I had to wait for a combined total of 40 minutes in an 80 degree room for my order to be taken and to get my check after I was finished. I saw my waiter three times in my visit of an hour and I wasn't even given water with my tea. The service and room temperature made it an overall negative experience.

Salam! This halal restaurant was excellent! A lot of the meat options are lamb just so you know! The meat was tender…even my family that doesn’t eat lamb agreed it was great. The chicken was juicy. the rice was delightful. Our appetizers which included fattoush salad, lentil (next level) and fuul were so good. We tried the hummus with meat (beef) on top and it was great. We kept asking our waiter to bring more bread and he was happy to help :) We ended our superb dining experience with Arab tea and kunafa which was AWESOME. A bit of a wait because it was made fresh. Phenomenal kunafa which is a specialty of this restaurant. Also: mint lemonade was tasty according to my mother in law :) Highly suggest for anyone in Houston! We visited from out of town and will be back next time we’re here.

Is this some type of prank with you all’s chicken shawarma to go?!!! It’s literally boiled chicken with two pieces of pickles and a little bit of sauce. The audacity to charge $10 bucks for it. The kicker…it’s on a thin tortilla bread 🤣 what on earth!!! It literally felt like I was eating a dry chicken burrito. No where near a arabic chicken shawarma. Uhhh, now I know where NOT to get a burr..I mean shawarma.

Wonderful food! Will be back again for sure! We enjoyed the Red Snapper and mixed grill family platter along with the Hummus and sides.

  • 5/5 Valeria V. 6 months ago on Google
I ordered the beef shawarma and the hummus as a side. This by far is the best hummus I have had! It is extremely smooth and full of flavor. The shawarma was delicious as well the meat had a great taste and I loved that it wasn’t stuffed with a tone of sauce and extra stuff so it has a more natural authentic flavor. Also, such a beautiful restaurant and the service I received was fantastic. Definitely recommend.

Food was good , tasty. Price was decent. But service was bad. Was not offered water or salad etc. There were many empty tables but still kept us waiting to think where we should be seated. Seriously!! . You have one whole side empty. Charged us 15% tips because we were 5 . 2 adults and 3 children. If the service was good, I don't mind but why charge when you only gave plates and delivered the food which we paid for. Will return just for the tasty food but service need improvement.

So, we had this work dinner at this place, and let me tell you, the food was amazing! We ordered some hummus, Pita bread, Arabic salad, Beef tenderloin shish kabob plate, Kofta Kabob Plate, 1/2 chicken tikka platter, and of course, drinks. Everything tasted fresh and delicious. And you know what? The price was pretty reasonable too. The interior was really nice, and the service was top-notch. The staff were so welcoming and friendly. Oh, and another bonus: there's a parking lot right in front of the restaurant. Overall, it was a great experience!"

This restaurant is amazing it reminds me of the authentic middle eastern food. Their fish is fresh and tasty we ordered grilled red snipper and I would give it 10/10. The restaurant owner was really nice and the staff as well.

Still great food. The fish is one of the best in the area. Service was not the best and the restaurant needs to be a little cleaner.
