Stayed here for one night to explore nightlife in downtown. Very nice staff and very accommodating. We checked in very late at around 9pm, but they said it was fine as long as you check in they day of between 3pm - 2am the next morning. Parking was interesting, it was an underground parking garage with some pretty gnarly art. Taste may vary but I thought it was really cool, and in the elevator they let you know it is most definitely not graffiti which is funny. Parking was $15 a day, and guests can park until 9pm before towing occurs. We stayed in a room with two beds and there were 4 of us. A little tight but the view of downtown was quite nice, and the room was in good condition. We didn’t plan to stay in the room much anyways, so for the price this stay was worth it. They also have free breakfast on Weekdays from 6-9am and Weekends from 7-10am. There was a false fire alarm that occurred which stopped the elevators, but it was a minor inconvenience, and was attended to rather quickly from the fire department, which made me feel better. Overall I recommend this hotel if you’re looking for a cheap stay with good service and good rooms.

Perfect for a quick stay. My room was nice. Good view of downtown and had a fridge and microwave. Water, tea, and coffee are available in rooms and included with your booking. Their complimentary breakfast was good, too. I was able to walk to nearby restaurants and take the train to museums. Holiday Inn was also able to provide a crib for my young child.

Good location, very helpful staff, easy access to freeways. Not a good place to walk around at night. Look out for the hidden charges that makes your stay sour, they charge you for breakfast as Amenities fee even if you don't eat breakfast there.

Well it isn’t horrible by any means but it isn’t what we are used to for business travel. The staff is very nice, location is central, but the place is….lacking. Not that it’s dated but it gives off a prison vibe. Eek. While they are doing the best they can with added security features it should be advertising that they have these extra steps because of the downtown Houston homeless population. Isn’t a deal breaker but it would be nice to know these things prior to booking. For business I would stay here again. For leisure, nope.

The rooms are desperate for a refresh. The lighting is nearly non existent and the furniture layout of the suite leaves a lot to be desired. Coffee in the bedroom when there is a kitchenette? Do not expect to eat on site after breakfast, but there are many nearby choices. Be careful where you walk and use the shuttle if you are getting around downtown. The staff is excellent!!!

Great location downtown Main Street- Street train right in front of the Hotel. Breakfast buffet is optional. Clean room with a fantastic view. Great soft mattress. Room #602 is Right at the Elevator Shaft - you hear the doors open and close as-well the scratching sounds of the elevator movements, in the Room. Parking is a bit tight for a Truck to get in and out the entrance and exit area of the parking structure.

Don’t recommend staying here if you are a person who wears makeup. Provided one makeup wipe to remove makeup (brought my own as well) but as many may be familiar with, still had residue on the towels. Was charged $50 for this. Never been an issue at any other hotel I’ve stayed at EVER. It’s almost comical to even have to explain this. I’m shocked that they haven’t seen makeup on a towel before and come up with a solution to it, given we live in 2023.

A really nice hotel for a good price! Conveniently located downtown, with a free shuttle within a mile of the location (note that walking anywhere around here is pretty much nonexistent). Beds are extremely comfortable, which led to fantastic sleep. The breakfast was okay; standard for what you pay. Rooms were starting to show age, but still kept very clean. The crowning moment for this hotel, however, is its staff!! All staff were some of the friendliest and most helpful people ever. The housekeeping was also fantastic.

Checked us in 1 hr early after asking for late check in on accident. Nice friendly staff. Manager was awesome, loved the bar experience and wonderful breakfast. Highly recommend and it was definitely worth the extra we paid during World series.

I wanted to give this hotel more stars based on cleanliness and location, however, the absolutely atrocious customer service will not allow me to! We checked in on October 15, and plainly stated we were going to a music venue that evening in the downtown area, we even got the exact distance from the check in desk. Not one mention of having a free shuttle that could bring us, it was only when we were in the garage debating whether to get our car or walk that the valet sweeping through garage overheard us and offered the shuttle! David was awesome and an example of what a good employee should be! Later that night our party got separated and my boyfriend and I took a Lyft back to the hotel. My son and his girlfriend were walking back to the hotel and got disoriented, as we are not from Houston and drove in from another state to see this show so they were having difficulty finding the hotel. Once they arrived, the front desk clerk and the security guard on duty after 12:00 am were extremely rude and would not allow them upstairs even though they gave them our room number. Keep in mind, I paid EXTRA for 2 beds! I was getting worried and went downstairs TWICE and described my son and girlfriend in detail and they absolutely lied to me and said they hadn’t seen them. My son even offered to book another room and they would not even entertain the idea and told them to leave the hotel! It was now 2:00 in the morning and my son and his girlfriend had to walk, in downtown Houston, alone to another Hotel to book a $200 room. The next morning when they were coming to meet us, the 2 ladies at the front desk were extremely rude and made them wait out in front of the hotel, even though they gave them my room number and name. This was without a doubt the absolute WORST customer service I have ever encountered, and I will NEVER stay at this hotel again. We travel quite frequently to Houston for events and this was beyond upsetting and disappointing!!!! Maybe train your concierge in manners and customer satisfaction and not just standing behind a desk asting like doing your job is a chore.

Find another hotel… not worth it. First of all, the parking garage was horrendous. It was almost hard to navigate through the garage because of how it was laid out. Not only do you have to go through multiple doors to even get to the hotel, you can’t even bring the luggage cart to your car because of how steep it was to drive from floor to floor. The room itself was decent, but the beds were so hard it made it hard to sleep. It was not comfortable at all. I kept tossing and turning the one night we were there. The bathroom floors were a little sticky. We asked for late checkout, and whoever was assigned to clean our room seemed to rush us out. She knocked on our door, my husband answered and he told her we were still in the room. Her tone was almost like we were being an inconvenience, and she said “are you almost done.” Uhm, no! Usually, housekeeping should have been informed which rooms would still be occupied. I have worked for IHG before, unless they do things differently now than when I used to work for them, it was really annoying and one of the reasons why I enjoy being a Gold member is being able to have late check out without being charged. I would find somewhere to stay, not worth all the hassle and hoops you have to go through.

This location in Houston offers the best downtown view if you're seeking for it! One of the top Holiday Inn hotels I've ever been too!! Rooms are fantastic!! it is very near to all tourist activities & malls , has metro transportation on the front of Hotel. Breakfast is average It could be better!! My room is on the 12th floor and has a stunning view of the downtown area both during the day and at night. I had a great time and would love to return in the future!

Came here with my friend for Easter Weekend, and enjoyed the close proximity it is to everything. This hotel had a very clean and presentable lobby. Parking is only $15 a day, and there is a parking representative (during the evening/night hours) who will help instruct you on the parking process. The service overall was friendly, but the room itself was a bit less than I expected. I stayed in a 2 bedroom suite, it didn't seem as luxurious as I hoped it to be. Room service was very friendly and did a great job in maintaining my room during my 2 night stay. The elevator was having issues with the door closing during my visit. I am a Diamond Elite Member, and never got an IHG Reward upon checking in. I found that odd, but I checked in after a 3 hour drive and did not remember about my perks until much later. Overall, great location and recommend to those who are visiting the downtown area!

This Hotel will tell you everything you want to see or hear to get you booked. Then the day you are set to arrive you will get an email telling you that you paid for a breakfast but they are no longer serving breakfast in their restaurant and it's a grab and go breakfast. Then they will tell you that their restaurant is closed. Next you will find out that they don't offer valet and you will have to pay $15 per day to park your vehicle in the garage... they offered me an upgrade to a king suite. When I tell you the room was so HOT. Ac says it's on 65 but it was definitely 70 degrees in the room. Thank God we bring a box fan with us when we go out of town. The tub stopper doesn't work. You can only take a shower in room 507. The water was a dirty brown when the faucet came on. How do they expect you to brush your teeth or bath in brown water? Do not recommend this hot and I will never stay here again. Their website offers false advertising and they won't tell you till the day of so that way you can't cancel.

Nice hotel at a good price! The rooms are nice, and the bathroom is great but could use more counter space (it's probably better in a larger room). I do like that the towel rack is in the shower so I don't have to step or lean out to grab a towel after showering. Please note that the optional $6 breakfast is juice, a few breads, and coffee, with no proteins except for peanut butter. You will also need to pay $10 for the parking garage. There is a Keurig in the room as well as a fridge, & microwave. We also have a great view from our 10th floor room. There is a Burger Theory on the ground floor.

Hotel staff was always super nice and helpful. House keeping was good as well. Breakfast wasn't bad and the free shuttle was a nice addition. Paying $10 a day for parking wasn't ideal and Breakfast left a little to be desired some mornings. Overall was a good stay and would stay again.

Perfect for a weekend stay when we needed to be downtown for the Houston marathon. Front desk (Trevon) was helpful, friendly, and prompt. Room was clean, though somewhat damp-smelling. Reserving a suite was the right size for a family of 5

Man oh man. Parking was a nightmare, and be very careful with your vehicle...if you ride a little low, beware you are going to scrape (just look at all the marks on the ground before you go in). The room was not very clean either, but we were in very late and out very early so we just wanted to get to sleep and didn't bother trying to change rooms and that whole-hassle. There are far too many options to waste your time here. EDIT - You asking if I asked a team member prior to my leaving and scolding me about not doing so is a strange customer service tactic. I indicated above in the initial review that we were in very late and out very early...basically this was a fast stay where I didn't even have time to switch rooms in the night, where would I have found even more time to argue about cleanliness?

Always a pleasant check in and out with superb first class service. The hotel is convenient to all sports arenas with a shuttle service available within 1.5 miles to service your immediate needs. Outside is the metro tram that get you all around the Houston area. The views from the rooms are fun to watch and the fitness center and pool are available for a fast workout or a quick dip.

Remember to use HotelDully.ᴄᴏm when booking any stay. They compare thousands of booking websites and usually will have rooms much cheaper than others! Thank me later on! This resort is one of the best in the area. I've been staying here for a very long time. If you decide to stay here you definitely won't regret it. This hotel was a great location for an Astro’s game. The shuttle they provided free of charge was excellent. Driver was great! Front desk staff very friendly. Loved the fresh cookies. Breakfast was not bad could use some adjustments to menu items. Room was nice, small but works when you’re there to just sleep.

Great quick and easy experience. Always essential to have a seamless experience while traveling. At the end of the day all I need is a door with a lock on it so that's why it gets 5 stars from me. I do have to say that the parking garage is a bit musty, and the office chair provided with the room is not worth the cloth it's made with. The breakfast is acceptable but it's still grab and go, not really a time to sit and eat.

This is an older hotel. It is being renovated. It was clean, the staff was friendly and helpful. The room was small for 2 beds. The beds were double and not queen, but they were comfortable. The restroom is also small, not much space for your toiletries. The shower was good, plenty of hot water and good water pressure.

This is a very beautiful hotel, the cleanliness here was a 5 star & the bed was VERY COMFORTABLE! My check in was a bit rough because there was a big change in my amount to pay ( which I understood afterwards) and one rude staff member, but other than that there was another young lady named Michelle that helped me with explaining why it added up to so much and was very patient with me! Other than that I highly recommend staying here!!

I drove my wife and daughter to Houston for a concert and stayed at this location. We had an excellent experience at this hotel. The assistant GM Mike has a great sense of customer service. He was very approachable and was conversing with all the guest in the lobby. He personally assisted me with an issue I had in the parking garage as well. Just great service that you don’t often see anymore. Kudos to Mike and the team working with him.

I can't say enough about how great this hotel was. It was a really great bang for your buck. The staff was very friendly, the room was nice with a great view. They have us the wifi, have breakfast from 6am-9am with coffee, food, oatmeal, bagels, etc. We didn't eat but it was really nice to know that we could. They also have a shuttle service from 730-9am. Overall, really great hotel, clean, safe, good price. We'll definitely stay here.

Great experience! We needed to change rooms. Divine, at the front desk, went above and beyond to accommodate my family. Thank you! At the time we checked in, it was busy at the front desk. All reps were calm and cool. Terrific service. Definitely stay here again if we’re traveling through.
