Booked this hotel for 2 nights. Our room was absolutely disgusting with stains all over the walls and furniture, the AC wouldn’t get below 77°, and the room was TINY. It looks like the hotel hasn’t been touched since 1970. Although our book was non-refundable, the place was so bad my partner and I left the hotel 10 minutes after arriving to find somewhere else to stay. Don’t choose this hotel just because it is cheap. After leaving here we found the OYO motel in Kemah. It is absolutely fantastic and very recently remodelled. Super clean and the rooms are huge.

Microtel Inn & suites is an average hotel. The room space is half of a normal hotel space. The price is reasonable and the staff is friendly. If you don’t need the lavish accommodations and just want a place to lay your head. I recommend Microtel Inn & Suites.

We did not have very many options of hotels to stay at. when I booked it I was worried because it was not booked like all the others that it may have bugs or be ran down but they suprised me. the room was very clean and nice. towels were clean, staff was friendly. I was super happy with our stay!

Awful, just awful. Don't stay here. Nasty . TV didn't work. The microwave was totally disgusting. Roaches in the bathroom. I am sure they were all over. Overheard the lady at the desk tell a customer that "yes" there are bedbugs up there. There are way better places to stay.

Absolutely the worst experience I have ever had. If I could have given zeros for service and rooms I would have. The bed sheet had holes in it. The mattress pads on both beds had blood stains in numerous spots. One of the mattress pads had a urine patch and the other had sweat stains covering most of the mattress pad where people would sleep but the edges were white. We discovered the issues with the mattress pads because we could see through the fitted sheets. We asked for clean sheets and the employee said they were clean - just stained. We had to request clean sheets several times as he kept explaining they were clean, just stained, before he agreed to get new sheets. We went to speak to the manager (not in yet) and watched the employee set the bundle (not even folded) of clean sheets on the floor on the way to our room to answer a phone call and explained we didn't want those sheets either since they had been on the floor - he ignored us and went to our room. We said it again - he was still on the phone - and ignored us once more proceeding to put the sheets on our beds. Once we spoke to the manager and explained our issues, he thought the issue was resolved since we already had clean sheets (although he understood they had been laid on the ground). I said we were not happy with that and would be in contact with corporate. The manager then started yelling at us and harassing us. He gave us 2 options, a new room or a full refund. He asked which one it would be multiple times without giving any time for us to respond. When there was an opening, I said we needed to visit with another member of our party and would let him know. He said to call the front desk when we decided and I said we would. After visiting about options briefly, we started to see what other hotels were available but before I could even get the dates into the search bar, the phone rang and rang. I didn't answer since he harassed us in the hall with yelling and repeatedly saying the same things and we hadn't had time to make a decision yet. Within a few minutes, there was a knock on the door - it was the manager again asking about what we decided to do. I told him we agreed that I'd call once a decision was made and that we hadn't had enough time but was in the process of checking out other options. He left and waited. We did leave the hotel at 10:30 at night and had to drive to another town down the road. we didn't feel safe staying at Micotel with the manager harassing us and yelling. Unbelievable since all we wanted was a clean place to sleep.

Extremely dirty rooms! We asked to change rooms due to cigarette smell only to find our second room later in the night have weeds/cannabis smell. Everything about our two rooms are dirty from the bathroom to the counters to the furniture to the walls. There are stains/dirt/grime everywhere (see photos). We had to wear our water shoes into the bathtub when taking a shower to maintain cleanliness. The sheets do not smell fully washed. The rooms remind me of those dirty convenient store restrooms on the side of the road. They are low on inventory from shampoo to soap to pillows. The location is great if you are planning to visit NASA frequently during your stay. The price per night is decent. Breakfast was disappointing with just cereal, 1/3 jug of milk, a few slices of white bread, and they ran out of waffle batter. Overall, I would not recommend this hotel. We asked to get a refund and they obliged. Glad they did the right thing!

We are a family of 4 and we came to visit the NASA Space center. Our room has 2 queen beds which are so spacious and comfortable. The staff and services are so good and friendly. The space center is just right across the street. Best choice for those who are planning to visit the space center. Financially perfect too. I'd totally suggest this to anyone who asks.

DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!! I got a room in April 2023 because it’s across the street from the Space Center, the one time I didn’t read reviews, HUGE MISTAKE!!!!! The only nice thing about this property is the outside and the employee we spoke with. The room was like walking into a time capsule of 1950, it smelled heavily of cleaner and something else that made us cringe, it felt like a dungeon it was so dark and creepy. After laying down on the top blankets of the bed I got very itchy, thankfully we didn’t put anything on the bed or floor. We decided we didn’t care about the $100 we’d lose and went a block away to the Courtyard by Marriott for $125($25 more then this place) and it felt like we’d jumped up into high luxury. The hotel we went to understood our issues and had others coming there from the same place with the same complaints. My husband and I took the hottest shower we could stand and washed all our clothes in hot water immediately at the new hotel. Thankfully we didn’t notice any bugs in the following days that might have hitched a ride.

The overall condition of the hotel is very poor- lots of clutter/debris in hallway and stairwell, bad door locks (both to room and exterior entry), frayed and damaged upholstery in the room. The provided breakfast is good but minimal- cereals and baked items plus a waffle maker. Honestly, for the rock-bottom rates they charge, this is expected. However, I wish they would put more effort into keeping the hallways and staircases clean. The front desk staff was friendly when I interacted with them. I never received a receipt by email and they have been impossible to reach by either email or phone. The one time I got someone to answer the phone, the email systems were down so they were unable to help me.

This little hotel is in a great location. It’s only a minute away from the gates of Johnson Space Center and NASA. The neighborhood is very respectable and the price was great. The room we had was a suite. It had a small separate sitting area with a mini fridge and a microwave. Our room was cleaned daily and fresh towels were left. There is a small pool and a light continental breakfast was served each day. The best thing was it was so so reasonably priced especially for the area! Special thanks to the employees who returned my jewelry I had left when we headed home. Very honest!!

Unpleasant experience when we stayed here. This location isn't just run down but actively composting. Curtains were torn from the rod. I had to rehang them in order to block the window. Strong smell of mold and industrial cleaners. Crude repairs to broken door bar device. Toilet seat was cracked and peeling. Tub was very dirty. Continental breakfast was not present aside from a waffle maker. Waffle batter was using a single disposable cup for all guests. Only benefit of staying at this location is the close proximity to Johnson Space Center. Radical shift from our visit in 2012 which was the complete opposite. Will not visit again.

This hotel needs to honestly be shut down. Could not stay at this hotel. These pictures consist of two different rooms. The man at the counter lied to us; he said the systems were down and he couldn’t give us a refund. When we went in the first room and saw two dead cockroaches lying right next to each other. He refused to give us a refund and gave us a second room. In the second room, there wasn’t cockroaches like the first room but there was pubic hair in the bed sheet! How disgusting. There was also hair all over the bathroom floor. We begged again for the man to just let us leave. Finally, he said we could expect a refund. (Because he was lying to us the whole time!) It has been a week and we still have not been refunded. I am assuming they probably are going bankrupt and this is why they haven’t refunded us yet. This building is not being taken care of, it smells like mold, there’s cockroaches, furniture is moldy, public hair in the sheets, hair everywhere, the toilet seat is falling apart in the bathroom. It’s literally worse than a motel because they have not taken care of this place. We are having to seek higher measures to receive our money back. I didn’t want to have to leave this review but this experience has been an absolute nightmare. There’s lots of more affordable options in the area that is actually clean. Stay at your own risk.

Super nice affordable hotel. For some reason we had no phone in the actual suite so we weren’t able to call about the tv not constantly working. Yes we could have went downstairs but it’s super inconvenient being on the top floor and also having to go down there each time our key cards wouldn’t work for the door every time we left. I’d go back but definitely have all problems found out as soon as I get there.

Eugh... I booked the Microtel because my family stayed in one in Nebraska and it was a nice little quaint hotel for a low price. I expected the same from the online Google ad, as the rooms looked renovated and clean from the official pictures posted by the hotel. My wife and I get there, and the only cleanliness was in the lobby and halls... room smelled like weed and the appliances/furniture was old and worn. I also just got so itchy the second we walked in... We ended up leaving early and paying extra to stay at Springhill Suites. Wyndham needs to do better about their advertising and renovation schedule, as I felt very misled how the rooms looked.

Me and my family went here because we were planning to go to NASA (which we did earlier today) and this location was just perfect. It is right across from NASA so close that you could walk to it. The only thing to complain about are the fold out beds. They do not give you any blankets (but will provide you with some upon request) just two thin sheets and the springs are slightly uncomfortable but you get used to it after a hot minute.

I had a suite. Overall, the suite was great. Lots of room. The staff was also great. However, there are two things I did not like. The first is the TV. The TV is attached to the wall above the clothes cabinet which make it close to the ceiling. This would not be issue if the TV was larger, but it is a very small TV so in order to view the TV my head was up all the time. The second is that the sink was hard to get to because the coffee bar is set right in front of the sink. These two dislikes would not stop me from booking a room again.

Front desk staff was nice however they have bed bugs and I had to checkout a few hours after checking in. I couldn’t get a refund because I booked through a 3rd party app. Management still hasn’t reached out to me to address the issue or offer an apology.

Not the most elegant place in the world, but It felt safe, clean, equipped, and Friendly to me...and after all, it's that, that matters! I guess I just feel that I, as a single traveling woman, and my little dog, we're pleased, I'm hoping that you may be pleased as well! God Bless & Keep You all.

I had a good experience staying at the hotel, I only had one problem. The lady at the front desk in the morning decided she was going to come into my room without knocking at 3:00 in the afternoon talking about she thought I'd supposed to check out at 11:00. The gentleman working nightshift left her a note letting her know that I was a stay over. Once I informed her of this she left my door open and walked away no apology nothing just I find that rude. All in all my experience with this hotel has been good very clean rooms lovely breakfast in the morning.

Just terrible stay all the way around. My room had a roach on the bed. That mirror behind the bed wall looks two way and absolutely creepy. The smell of the whole place is like mildew or thick mold. The breakfast was gross with watery waffle batter. Ran out of there way before check out. Shame on Wyndham! Try it yourself.

The room was clean, bed comfortable. Hot water, wifi, air conditioning was working well. The staff was polite and helpful. There was a small but nice swimming pool outside that could be used by the hotel guests.

Located across the street from NASA, just a couple of blocks from Houston Methodist Clear Lake Hospital, and a couple of miles from Kemah. Service was acceptable for a 2 🌟 hotel. Rooms were reasonably clean, even though there was a wine cork, from a previous guest, under the bed. The common areas were too warm. The rooms had their own temperature control. The first floor ice machine was out of order, and all guests had to go to the 3rd floor via a very slow elevator to get ice. The breakfast that was provided was all carb rich food. Over all, it is what I expected for a 2 🌟 hotel. I would not go here for a romantic get away, but for a place to stay as you are passing through, it will do. You get what you pay for.

We came in really late and we need to get a hotel and we were so tired and the night audit Dedrick was so amazing. His customer service and kindness and friendliness was such a relief. He was so helpful and accommodating. I want you to know what an incredible employee you have and really made our stay amazing.
