From the reviews you would think this is a great place to stay and relax & yea the room was nice. But the receptionist, Ericka, was very unapologetically rude & unprofessional towards my family and I. Worst experience ever & will not be coming back!

My room was filthy, customer service was rude. Old food from previous stays were left in the room, I found dog hair and dog food all over the floor, the bathtub was not properly clean and we were told housekeeping gets off at 3 everyday.

Infested with COCKROACHES! I posted pictures and they keep deleting my honest review but I have all day. DONT STAY HERE!!! Unless you like sleeping with cockroaches. As soon as I walked into my room and turned the light on cockroaches started crawling away from walls, floors, bed, table. Horrible place to stay.

APPALLING. APPALLING! AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Where do I even begin? It looked so nice from the outside, but this was the loudest hotel I've ever been in, I could hear every single noise through the walls and windows, and every single car on the highway, and every door opening and closing, and every time the person in the room above went to the bathroom, and there was a drunken party in the parking lot at 1:30 that woke me up, and there was a floodlight shining right into my window--but the MANAGEMENT. I have NEVER in my life been spoken to that way by a manager--and this is after the first one HUNG UP ON ME. He turned around and said I was being "Verbally abusive" right back but really he just didn't like what I was saying. Plus the way they treat and pay their staff (who are very sweet but very overwhelmed) is horrifying. None of this would have even happened if there was a manager on duty during LABOR DAY WEEKEND, but both of them decided that was the perfect time to take a vacation and leave a 20-year-old making $13 an hour in charge. Please go to the one further down Beltway 8 - they were so much nicer to me. OR just skip Wyndham altogether because they clearly have no quality control. This was frankly embarrassing. I had a better night's sleep in a motel with bullet holes in the door. They're all trying their best to pin it on me, the manager even told me not to bother complaining because Wyndham wouldn't do anything, which is a GIANT red flag...They did offer me a different room, but I had just put my baby down to sleep and I had no idea that they would use that offer as an excuse to completely blow off everything I said, I just didn't think the new room would be any better because the problem was clearly the walls and windows. It took me an hour to get the baby to sleep and someone woke him up at 4am so we just ended up leaving...got two hours of sleep right before driving to the hospital to visit my dying grandma...ridiculous. Just avoid this hotel like the plague. There's a Scottish Inn like 50 feet away, it can't possibly be worse, and if something goes wrong there might actually be some sort of accountability.

It was extremely hot outside, my husband and I and our dog joker were ready to get out of the heat, my husband has a broken foot, so I went in to purchase the room. The young lady at the front desk was very nice , extremely helpful. However she had to call her manager to the desk to help another customer, and at that time he (Manager) made eye contact with me, and asked his employee to help me. I get my room key and proceed to park, and that same manager Bryan I do believe his name is comes barreling out the back door.... Yelling at us what are we doing? We were both confused and my dog started barking at him He then asked my husband and I to leave, I told him I just rented a room , he then made a really rude remark and threw up his hands , saying if you ain't a guest YALL GOT TO GO NOW! I showed him my key card and he walked off with an attitude I have never in my life been treated so poorly by someone in management none the less, afterwords he didn't even bother to apologize for his behavior . My vehicle isn't new and we didn't fit in . Excuse me my Chrysler burnt up in the house fire that took 2 of my 3 dogs. And my family was hot.. I paid 153 dollars to be discriminated against .

This is my go to place every time I'm anywhere close to Houston!!! It's like my home away from home. Very clean, very safe and safe feeling and the staff is amazing!!! Super nice and helpful!! I travel a lot for work and that is always nice to have. It's even better when you haven't been here for months and they remember who you are and what you prefer as soon as your name pops up and when you walk in the door!! Amazing people and place

Hotel is mostly clean and in a decent area. Conveniently close to stores. I called the front desk for an extra blanket. I was told a little sharply that they don’t carry extra blankets (of course they do)The lady said she would check and call me back. She never did. I asked in person the next day and got the same story. I let it go. If the hotel policies are more important than their posture on hospitality, I’ll go elsewhere. I didn’t feel like their focus was the customer. Pool was out of towels and the same pile of soaking wet towels was still there in the morning. The pool room was very cold and the pool bathroom was dirty. The lady in Housekeeping was very friendly and got us more towels. Breakfast was fairly decent. Coffee was good. We got there early though. I didn’t see how quickly it was maintained during the rush. For a one night, business trip, this place will work but for a family on an extended trip, they don’t deliver that pampered experience that many of the nice hotels focus on. I’d like to see the owner responding to the negative reviews on here.

Do you like it when your TV turns off automatically (and is on a different channel when you turn it back on) every 20-30 minutes when you're trying to watch a movie? If so, you'll like this hotel. Do you like checking into your room to find the HVAC turned off, so you have to wait a good while to achieve a comfortable temperature? If so, you'll like this hotel. Apparently management are too worried about saving a few cents on their electric bill to allow you to enjoy your stay.

This was by far the worst experience I’ve ever had at a hotel, and I travel for work, so I have a lot of experiences. The room was very nasty had blood on the pillow underwear on the ground and stains all over the wall. We asked to be moved to a different room and was refused when we asked to talk to a manager. They said they would have somebody call us and I called back 4 separate times and have yet to speak to anyone in management that was over a week ago. The reason we were traveling was to go to my father’s funeral and I had to move my wife and two kids to another hotel during this tough time for my family. We mentioned that to the office as well, and are blown away that no one from management ever reached out one time. Stay away if you value service or cleanliness with your hotel. By the way they charged me even though we didn’t stay and have yet to refund the charge. Absolutely blown away by how bad this was for us.

My stay here was for a meeting at the hotel. The accommodations were clean, neat and well kept. The breakfast was very good. I am a diabetic and there were plenty of tasty choices to satisfy me. The service provided needed item quickly and efficiently.

Me & my Girlfriend stayed at the La Quinta by Wyndham Channel View and we were Extremely Satisfied with the Wheelchair accessible room, Service and Amenities. The Management & Staff were so accommodating. They went above & beyond for us. This Hotel is PET & LGBTQIA FRIENDLY. It felt amazing not to be judged. THANK YOU to Amy & Tim and everyone else for making our stay AMAZING.

Ughh, made that terribly long drive from Oklahoma for our football tournament, Checked in around 10PM so pretty late. The staff was absolutely wonderful and very helpful. It's in a perfect location right near a highway, walmart and so many restaurants. Plus who doesn't love free breakfast shaped like Texas... Thanks H-Town for the Southern Hospitality.

Have stayed here a few times. Rooms are nice and clean, but insulation is poor. Can hear highway noise, even if you’re on the far end of the hotel. No Lotion provided in the room !! A couple times they would offer that I go down to reception and pick up one from their shop for free …. But this last time they wanted me to pay for it….. after spending $100+ for the room !! …. Deal Breaker!! Won’t stay here again and will go back to Holiday Inn up the road … same price, Cleaner, Complimentary water, good breakfast variety and quieter

the housekeeping staff is very rude! we had to go down to front desk everyday to get towels and amenities for the 3 guest we had b/c the housekeeper refused to give us more than 2 towels🙄.. Told front desk and they tried to make excuses for her instead of rectifying the problem! our room had a big crack and water stain in the ceiling over the bed..

The holiday Inn down the road is better. But it's closed due to flooding. The breakfast is poor quality. Service is good all around. This place it more of a 2.75 stars. Parking terrible do to location, it's gated after hours, u need your room key to park or get out. PITA.

Got a suite (2beds/1sofa bed). Room was big enough and update/clean. Room was always clean and maintained by Housekeeping. 5 star there. Never had an issue. Staff was friendly and helpful. They have a snack/drink store in the lobby. The prices are fair and not over priced. If we come back to this area for vacation we will definitely stay again. For our first experience with La Quinta Inn we were well satisfied. 👌

As a trucking family, it’s so nice to be able to find a last minute place to stay that’s as lovely as this hotel. Pet friendly ($20 fee), nicely decorated, friendly staff, clean rooms, clean laundry area. Definitely would stay again.

This property was very nice. It has features like keycard access gated parking, gazebos and water features on the property, wall & unit controlled in-room AC, bedside mounted USB & power plugs, ample lighting, amazing shower heads, etc. the only disappointment I experienced was the housekeeping. When I checked in my shower had long hairs in it and a nasty black substance all over the walls. The half-used bath tissue roll appeared soiled. The bathroom cleanliness was not up to par which made me question the whole facility, otherwise it was a 5-star experience for a 3-star price. This is a newer facility that feels safe, secure, and modern. My curtains wouldn’t close all the way, leaving a gap which the perimeter security lights of the storage facility next door shined through, however that is typical of this type of accommodation. The AC and all other amenities worked flawlessly which was impressive, and overall I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the La Quinta - Channelview on Sam Houston.

Y’all! This is a total hidden gem. Room is great. Needs a fan in the bathroom though. Mini fridge, microwave included. The glass shower was great, although I’d have liked a little more water pressure. Gated parking. The public areas are warmish though. Overall we will def stay here again!

My stay here was absolutely perfect. The rooms were so clean and the linens were nice and fresh. Breakfast was pretty good for a hotel. Had a great night sleep will definitely stay again.

The room was clean but smelled a little musty. Hotel was nice. However, we had to practically beg for extra linens and towels. Seriously, the room sleeps six but they only gave us three towels and a lot of pushback when we asked for more. And we never did get the extra blanket so our (6'1" and 5'10") boys wouldnt have to share one. All in all, we won't be back.

Stayed at hotel and had stains from my pets, the lady, says she ishead manager of everything, called me verbally attacking me, and as I am trying to talk to her, and ask for copies and information- she scolded me and hangs up on me. Then I call back to ask for manager and she must puts me on hold on purpose. Minutes later I call back and ask for higher manager and shes it's her. I've never been discriminated against, she says she saw me on cameras with all my family and my dogs to prove that were dirty. This is horrible treatment. Your shouldn't talk to your guests this way because they are Hispanics yelling at them. Be respectful and professional and treat every one equally especially when we're trying to get information on how to fix something.

King suite with desk, L shaped couch, micro/fridge. Very spacious, clean and super comfortable. The hotel has a fenced area where we walked our dogs. The parking is gated. There are gazebos with grills and a nice patio with a water feature. Breakfast bar each morning and nice eating area. Very kind and helpful staff. We will be staying here again when traveling with our dogs.

Really new hotel with modern decor, beds were comfortable very clean. Breakfast was excellent with lots of variety and real plates were a nice touch. Parking was gated and secure to prevent overnight vehicle break-ins. Really one of the best LaQuintas I’ve ever stayed at and I’ve been to many.
