Excellent coffee, food and service. We had the Jalapeno biscuit sandwich and the very tasty Chicken and Waffles. The chicken wings in my chicken and waffle dish were very tasty, juicy with the right amount of crisp. 🤤. The best part is that it's for a great cause. I love this place!

I love supporting small coffee shops, and I have to say I absolutely love this place! This breakfast sandwich blew me away. You can tell the biscuit was made from scratch. The coffee did need a little bit of more sugar/ sweetener. Definitely recommend coming here!

What a great coffee shop! The atmosphere is charming! The concept is giving back to help fight human trafficking. The coffee was great and the atmosphere was inviting and able to get some work done. The ladies at the counter really knew the history of this cute place and I really appreciated their feedback and provided different ways Houstonians can partner with a 2nd Cup! I will definitely be back and I highly recommend this place.

I went today for the first time and love its vibe! The coffee was great and the food delicious (small plates but tasty and fairly priced). They have an small market with gifts and super cute crafts. And on top of this all, with your purchases you collaborate with a noble cause. Recommended!

Houston's only non-profit coffee shop! I love this space, the indoor setting is really nice and considering the times, they have plenty of outdoor seating as well. I love their fun drinks, I got a limited time mocha float once and it was good! They also have a bunch of merch inside the store and a little boutique as well! Oh one more thing, farmers market happens here on Saturdays!

It's not a bad place at all. Very chic. I only get double shots at coffee places and very rarely, but it was a large open space, very spacious, and they also sold other items like decorated dry succubi plants, quinoa and cocoa bean snacks, some clothes, and a variety of other items. I recommend it.

I love the concept and cause behind the coffee shop; to stop human trafficking! However, I wish they had just basic, iced vanilla latte’s and cortado’s, etc. The tacos are also so good!

Checked out the new location on opening day and, as always, very impressed. I love it! Cozy and still the best coffee and pastries for a great cause. Love it and make sure to visit the new location.

Great atmosphere with plenty of seating, both inside and out. Outlets are abundant and comfy couches available too. Food and coffee are AMAZING. Staff is lovely and seem to almost all be fluent in sign language. I’d come here just for the good cause but I think this will become my new favorite coffee/breakfast spot in Houston. The cheddar chicken jalapeño biscuit was incredible and the chicken cooked PERFECTLY. Would come just for the chicken by itself. The quiche was lovely as well and the coffee the best I’ve had in Houston I think.

Coffee with a mission! Location: New location off Fulton Staff: nice and friendly, do keep in mind a lot of them are volunteers and might not be familiar with certain duties but do be patient and communicate as they will do the best to help. Price: average Taste: all things I have tried are always delicious Black excellence menu did not disappoint. Waffle peach cobbler with wings was a great hit. The raspberry latte was definitely comforting and sweet.

Recently discovered this place and I’m so glad I did! The coffee and baked goods are perfect and service is quick and friendly. The atmosphere is pleasant - spacious, busy but not loud. The best part is the mission to raise awareness of human trafficking and provide survivors with training to build confidence and skills in hospitality and culinary arts. Wonderful place - keep up the good work.

One of my favorite coffee spots in Houston. Coffee for a great cause, A 2nd Cup brings awareness on human tracking as well as hosts for a variety of events from farmers markets, yoga, and other awareness events. They have a merchandise section that supports artisans in high risk situations as well. Definitely one of my routine spots and highly recommend!

The food here is amazing!! My husband and I had the chicken and waffles and we will be back just for them. The chicken was amazingly seasoned and the waffles were nice and fluffy. You do get a good amount of food. My husband and I both had leftover. The mochanut coffee was smooth and pretty to look at. They have a croissant covered with caramel, chocolate and chip pieces that people who have a peanut allergy/ people who do not like peanuts should be cautious of. It wasn't in the description when I bought it so when I took a bite and found peanut butter in the Middle I was a bit disappointed as I don't like an overwhelming taste of peanut. But that doesn't take away from the friendly staff, the ambiance, the people everything is top tier. ❤️

I came across this coffee shop on Instagram. I finally decided to visit on Saturday afternoon. Since this is their new location, they had a re-opening celebration. It wasn't too crowded so I was able to get a good seat. I was able to enjoy my cup of coffee and the love DJ. I would definitely return to support this local coffee shop and to fight human trafficking at the same time.

Nice place to have coffee and get some things done or just talk. Great that profits go to a good cause.

I absolutely love this coffee bar! It has a great aesthetic...... industrial feel with heart and soul (loft-like space with concrete floors, rustic wooden tables and live plants scattered around the room. When you walk in, you will immediately smell the aroma of fresh ground coffee beans..... And see the wonderful array of products to buy (all proceeds for the coffee and other products go to support the end of human trafficking...). They have an interesting array of things you can purchase there..... gorgeous ceramic salt wells, candles, tees, bohemian style jewelry and gourmet honey. The delicious coffee and warm and friendly service make this place shine! :)

I think the theme of this coffee shop is so awesome and the message but the coffee itself was kinda not to my liking. I wouldn't go back for coffee if im being honest.

WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE! Houston's first Non Profit Coffee Company. Great space. They also have an event space. Covered outdoor seating. Great croissants. Very good cortados. Super cool friendly team. Highly recommend this place for both locals and out of towners.

So I'm sitting here in this adorable coffee shop. I just moved to the neighborhood and wanted coffee since I still haven't unpacked my Keurig. Anyhow, I love it. The music is perfect. The vibe is pleasant and relaxing. The establishment itself is just adorbs and they are nonprofit!!! Like how? They are committed to ending and bringing awareness to human trafficking. I love ❤️ it here. Thanks Loves. I'm sure I will be back soon.

Signature breakfast sandwich very good. Hibiscus mint tea also good. Atmosphere is pleasing. Good info about human trafficking in the walls easily readable from a distance. Attractive merchandise including food items available for purchase. Temperature and music very nice. Staff very friendly and competent.

I had their signature croissant sandwich and it was delicious and their mochanut was yummy. My daughter ordered chicken panini with salad and chai latte. We bought some goodies too! They sell plants, terrariums and succulents in super adorable pots! We left with happy tummy and full heart. A great place to eat and shop for this wonderful nonprofit coffeeshop.

I found this place the same way I find most places I end up reviewing: by typing coffee or food into Google maps and sifting through the results until I find something that looks good. And this place was good. The barista recommended their A2C signature breakfast sandwich and an iced mocha, the latter of which I had seen a few other patrons leaving with. They both tasted as good as they looked. The mocha was smooth and rich, but not overly sweet as many mochas I have had in the past tend to be. It was so smooth that I forgot for a moment I was drinking coffee. This is what I look for when going for flavored drinks. This drink must be quite popular because they offer it in quarter gallons to-go. The breakfast sandwich was, in a word, fantastic. The egg was to me perfectly cooked with a slightly thick runny-ness. The tomatoes added acidity and brightness to contrast the richness of the egg, creaminess of the cheese, and butteriness of the croissant, which was just the right amount of crispy. I would definitely order both items again and I recommend them emphatically. After enjoying my book for a bit, I helped myself to some water from their easy-to-reach jug, used their well-built, well-maintained restroom, and ordered a cappuccino. The cap did not disappoint and hit the sweet spot between sharp and smooth as the espresso and milk played together. On the food and coffee alone, I cannot recommend this place enough, but there is one other important reason you should spend your money here: they are an NPO that puts their income into combatting human trafficking. I find this to be both impressive and admirable, and I have included a photo of one of their many wall presentations that discusses this pressing issue. Well, I hope this was helpful and that I’ve convinced you to check this place out if ever you find yourself in Houston, fellow Google user!

First time here and they didn’t disappoint with breakfast. Kudos to the cook for doing an amazing job. Even giving us great customer service! Vibe is low key and you can actually think.

Great coffee, breakfast sandwiches, and pastries. Loved looking at the local crafts available for purchase while we waited for our drinks. Great atmosphere, really felt like I could settle in and make this place my own for a little while. Most importantly, I was happy to spend my money here because of the mission they support.

Great place to study. It was nice and spacious, fairly quiet. There are 2 couches if you want to curl up with a book, and wasn’t very busy on a wed evening. The coffee was good but not amazing.

What a great coffee spot in Houston! I wish we had a place like this in my college town years ago. Great place to get work done. Food was GREAT, coffee was good. Clean & quiet in the early AM.

Staff was friendly and efficient. They were busy and there wasn't much parking, but overall loved it.
