DO NOT tip on your card here, owner pockets the staffs tips. Tip in cash if possible. As for the owner, you do realize this is not only unethical but highly illegal, right? You also realize that without your staff, your business would would tank, right? I realize in the age of covid that times are tough for business owners but what you're doing is very illegal.

Great coffee, but beware: the owner keeps all non-cash tips. I can’t in good conscience support a business that is cheating their employees like that. Edit after owner response: an employee literally confirmed they don’t receive any electronic tips.

Love grabbing coffee from this small shop! The staff is always friendly and helpful. I appreciate all of the different syrups and coffee options. The shop is very cute and well lit, perfect for meeting friends over coffee. I've never had a long wait. The pastries are fresh as well.

Love this coffee shop!!!!! The blueberry matcha with a shot of espresso is my favorite. On top of that they have fresh treats and who doesn’t love that. Doesn’t matter if it’s the owner or a regular employee I’m always greeted with a smile when I come in which is refreshing. A friend of mine referred me here about two years ago and I’ve been coming regularly ever since. Check them out.

This is a small coffee shopping serving a variety of coffees and some pastries, cookies and muffins. I ordered my cappuccino with oat milk and was pretty good. The croissant was warmed upbin the microwave which is a no no ..itvwas chewy.

This shop was pretty cool. It was minimalist, and focused on the coffee. The smells are awesome the coffee was pretty good, and the vibe was nice. I could see myself coming back here and just relaxing for a while.

Baristas were very friendly and made lovely latte art. White chocolate latte was yummy, but it would be nice to taste more of my coffee. And like other reviews have said, the employees receive none of the electronic tips (we asked them). Apparently the owner keeps all electronic tips.

This place is super clean. It’s a cute little shop with a unique menu. The people in here are lovely and patient. I was helped by Anabel and Rebekah. They were super helpful and suggested me a lot of stuff. They were patient with me and very knowledgeable. I would definitely come back. Thank y’all!

Had to have my Jeep window repaired one Monday morning. Decided to walk to this coffee shop for my morning coffee and to get some work done while I worked. The coffee was pretty good. I had a Flat White and a breakfast taco, which was so so. Later that day I decided to have a turmeric tea latte. They tast was very good, however they needes to either stir up the mix more or not use so much. Half way through the drink it was like thick yellow mud, which got thicker as I continue to drink. The service was fair. Considering that Houston's coffee community is becoming more engaged with their customers, I found Pura to be more like the days when baristas didn't really feel like talking to the customer about their drink. Trying to ask about the roaster and the coffee used for my espresso drink was like a homeless person asking a lawyer from River Oaks for $.25. 😂 Maybe I exaggerate a bit... Over all I got the morning coffee and some work done. But I won't say I'll drive across town for this one..

Great coffee, but with increasing prices. I am at a tipping point with these tablets, not just here everywhere. Do whatever you want, but I cut back on spending and tired of the suggested 15-20% tip.

I ordered a latte and it was good. It was a chill place to relax at for awhile. Some of the other menu items seemed interesting, so I might try them out next time I'm there. The snacks were kind of limited, and didn't catch my attention.

The best place to get a dirty chai. In my humble opinion. Place is simple like a coffee shop should be. Plenty of seating and not crowded. Their red velvet muffin was also pretty good.. Will take pictures next time. Pretty fast service.

DO NOT TIP ELECTRONIC Sad to find out that I spent my money supporting a small mom and pops and then find out the owner pocket this kids tips. A place where staff shows up and are helpful and courteous the owner you would think he/she would let them earn what they work hard for. Yes he will comment incorrect like he did in other comments below but he does keep their electronic tips. We are in times were we should be grateful our staff shows up. I don't know how I feel about supporting this kind of business and greed, there is plenty of coffee shops to choose from.

Vibe- THIS IS BY FAR ONE OF THE BEST COFFEE SHOPS I’VE BEEN TO WHEN IT COMES TO VIBES! It’s the perfect atmosphere to get work or studying done. I wouldn’t come here to hangout with friends because it’s just that quiet and peaceful. There’s 10 square tables inside each with 2-3 chairs at them. Customer service- Great! The ladies that were there working greeted me (and everyone I noticed) as I came in. Food/drinks- I got the blueberry matcha that I’ve never seen anyway else so cudos to Pura! Just as the girl that rang me up suggested it already has sweetness from the blueberry so I didn’t add any. I also tried the tiger chai that was delicious as wells Parking- There’s about 5-6 parking spots right in front of the building.

Coffee is great, staff is friendly. Why the one star reveiw then? Well, because the baristas do not receive tips left with a credit card. When a customer tips, you deceive them and rob your employees. Shame on Pura. Plenty of other coffee shops in Houston. So your employees are lying?

Pura coffee is a mighty little coffee shop serving fantastic coffee, tea, and a variety of snacks. They appear to exclusively serve specialty coffee from 49th Parallel, a roaster in Vancouver, and they brew it well! Vibe - There's a good amount of seating as well as some outlets and WI-FI, making this a solid study spot that I frequent. Decent amount of parking outside. The decor is minimal, but the space is very functional. Coffee - We've tried the blueberry matcha drink and cortado so far. When you drink the blueberry matcha, you are instantly hit by a robust, juicy, and fresh blueberry flavor that gently blends into a a smooth, soothing, and creamy matcha/milk taste. It's at once both refreshing and comforting, but never feels too sweet (unlike other coffee shops that tend to overdo it with the syrups). We have also tried the blueberry matcha with a double shot of espresso, and to our delight the deep chocolate notes of the espresso complement the other flavors perfectly, giving a well-balanced drink with a kick of caffeine. As for the cortado, the barista gave a solid ratio of steamed milk to espresso which gave me clear notes of dark chocolate, cinnamon, and almond while mellowing out the bitterness and acidity with the slight sweetness and texture of the whole milk. Great latte art also doesn't hurt - well done. So far this coffee shop has become one of our favorites here in Houston for great specialty coffee brewed right, and we look forward to trying the other offerings on the menu.

I have been here twice and enjoyed the cortado and iced latte. Each time, the service was amazing as well as the atmosphere. Very comfortable and the music isn't too loud. Baristas are kind and friendly. Highly recommend!

This place is my home away from home. The atmosphere is relaxing and inviting. Great place to read a book, meet up with friends, work or just enjoy a good cup of coffee.

Genuinely had one of the best oat cappuchinos here. The espresso is definitely well dialed in because I was getting incredible notes of dark chocolate with a lovely nutty finish. Love this place.

Great little coffee shop. No pour over coffee. Darker coffee roast profile. Love the T.S. Elliot quote and the kind patient service of the batista, and the plentiful seating. Coffee was ground too fine for the French press. Still good music and good vibes. Open, bright and positive atmosphere. Overheard some people talking about ministry and seemed to be a good healthy space to do so. The coffee product itself is pretty good. The pastries didn't look great imho.
