If you like this review, please give it a thumbs up 👍👍👍. This is just a regular hotel by the airport. I stayed here for one night on business. The rooms are just a little bit dated. But they are clean and for the most part it was nice and quiet. If you're super tall ,the shower is short. But there is nice hot water. Not enough light in the room. But the bed slept well. The ladies at the front desk were extremely friendly.

The stay was nice. Louella at the front desk assisted me and she was great. Louella was extremely helpful with room selection, I was greeted well, given cookies and water upon my arrival. My only disappointment was that there was no microwave in the room, I had to constantly go to another floor for ice, and no one came to empty the trash or bring fresh towels, this is why I am giving it 3 stars. I would still recommend this Hotel because of the customer service and the convenience right by the airport. I stayed in a room that was at the end of the building which cut down on noise levels. The hotel itself was clean along with the room.

Was only there for a conference and in the conference rooms and used the restrooms but both were good to use. Very clean, nice restrooms that were well maintained and kept up to a high standard. Conference rooms were nice in that they could be well subdivided into mid and smaller rooms which worked very well for the conference.

Covid has taken its toll on a lot of things bit this hotel is blaming all there short comings on Covid. Which I must say is ridiculous. They don't have bar soap for the rooms. Short on towels and wash clothes. Check in as a Hilton Honors member and couldn't receive bottled water. Also the cable TV was not working. They blamed that on the cable company and said that should be out tomorrow!!! But the location is nice if you want to stay close to the airport.

Nice older hotel right next to HOU airport. They don't have all the amenities, so you have to get your own bar soap if you want it. The restaurant breakfast is fine.

Hotel is beautifully decorated with vintage modern aviation theme. Staff was friendly professional and extremely attentive. Food in both the Landing restaurant and the Bar and Grill was exceptional. Rosario took care of us for lunch on 10/14 and breakfast on 10/15 and she was fantastic giving us a 5 star experience. Thank you for a wonderful stay. It was a pleasure!

I only parked here for shuttle service to the airport. However, the lobby did look clean and it's a great location. I was disappointed the staff at the front desk did not greet me upon entering, in fact, I had to speak to them when I walked up to the desk. I understand people come and go consistently, but there were 3 people and none of them were attentive 🤔 My car was safe though and the shuttle driver kind, even telling me they were supposed to give me a ticket for my vehicle while I was away. I would park here again and potentially consider a stay if needed.

This place was an amazing experience as far as hotels go. On top of that, at least from my experiences and perception they were so accommodating and mindful to the National Federation of the Blind members who were here over the weekend. As a vendor working there I saw Dawn pass me at least 50 times in one day as she went out of her way to escort guests from one side of a very large DoubleTree hotel to the other side. The cleaning staff was also so sweet and happy to be around. Oh, and their warm cookies are delicious!

Compared to our experience last night at a Hilton property in Phoenix, this place is top of the mark. Efficient, friendly and focused on the client. All the staff we encountered, from the shuttle driver, front desk, restaurant/lounge to housekeeping were professional and courteous. The facility is well maintained and convenient to Houston Hobby Airport. Definitely on our favorites list and will be visited again on our next trip to the area.

The rooms are so nice. The dining area where we ate breakfast is clean, sanitize, and the food was delicious. The staff was very helpful, friendly & professional. It's right next to hobby airport to everyone.

I stayed here while buying a local vehicle & waited for it to be repaired to be roadworthy for a trip to California. The Breakfast menu was cheap and very appreciated. They had internet on their computers near the front desk. Also their parking lot proved to be safe as I had a vehicle with broken doors and never had a problem. This hotel had excellent staff. And I would stay there again even though the building was a little bit run down.

We were only here for about 12 hours but I have to say they were amazing. Room was very clean, staff was amazing, the lobby area is very nice and everything super clean and inviting. My husband uses a wheel chair full time and this is one of our first time traveling. We couldn't have chosen a better place. Chris, the manager, and all his staff were very empathetic and helpful. Joy, Karen, Carlos and the other driver who helped us this am and can't remember his name and the gentleman who was at desk last night were all wonderful. We didn't eat at the restaurant but it looked delicious. They are currently doing some big outside projects they should be done soon. Several airlines have their employees stay here If you are considering booking don't hesitate to book this hotel. We will be back in January and hope to stay longer next time so we can use the pool.

The hotel itself looks nice, but the staff was rude. Due to the fact that they did not let us check in before our conference, we ended up not being able to check in till after 9 PM. They gave us rooms separate from each other and, despite the fact that we asked for rooms to be closer together. Then both rooms had issues with the showers. They did not work. As soon as we called front desk said “oh yeah let me get maintenance.” Obviously they already new of the issues. We also forgot put tax exempt forms and the hotel didn’t have any blank forms- advise: if you have government contracts, get extra forms. We also had a delay getting a shuttle to the airport because they were swapping staff. not impressed with any of it also had pretty trouble charging my credit card and they would not manually enter the credit card. Awful customer experience.

Room was clean, as anyone would expect at a hotel. But service was SUPERB. Breakfast staff was very friendly, and quick with the coffee refills, which was amazing when I was tired during my weekend conference. What gives this staff 5+ stars is their helpfulness, honesty and integrity. I checked out and I left my valuables in the room and did not realize this until I arrived home. Housekeeping found them, and Hotel procedures kept them secure. Thank you to Jason and other admin staff who followed their procedures as I worked my way up the ladder to a very professional manager (Ulmon) who had my belongings safe and sound. The hotel is undergoing some renovations that will give it a more current vibe. It is close to the airport- and the staff is great. Our food for the conference was tasty as well! Koodos to this hotel.

Perfect location for early morning flight. They have free shuttles every 15 mins going to the airport. The pool is closed for maintenance for another month, so that was HUGE disappointment. We probably would have changed hotels if not for flying out. Rooms are clean and decent size

Kerry in the restaurant/bar was great!! Came down from Iowa and stayed a couple days, and when we came down for dinner she was quick, friendly, very personable!! The staff at the hotel was very helpful. Rooms were clean. The only thing we were disappointed about was no microwave in the rooms. There is a guest lounge where you could use one there. Loved the cookies also, bought some tins to take home with us!!

Excellent hotel! Staff are amazing shuttle is easy to get room is big, roomie and very clean and they provide you with real life size bottles of shampoo and conditioner. Everything is there that you need for bathroom items. Love this place! And the restaurant is wonderful! Highly recommend this location and will stay here every time I fly to Houston!

I am currently staying at the Doubletree and thus far, my stay has been undesirable. First the room the gave me has lots of wear and tear. Customer service is very poor here. As a gold member, I have stayed at many properties. When I checked in here, I wasn't giving any information at all. She did not tell me where the elevator is, how to get to the room, didn't mention any amenities, no mention of restaurant hours. She mentioned absolutely nothing. I had to ask how do I get to the room. I had to ask about my daily food credits. Even then, she didn't explain. She just said, "You get credits." I had to ask how exactly I use them. In order to get the information you typically get at check-in, I instead had to play the 21 questions games. In addition, I couldn't use the wifi the first night as you must enter your last name, and for some reason, my last name was not working. I later found out that they put my first name as my last name. To top it all off, I inquired about why my room type I booked through expedia was different from the room they gave me. The manager, Penelope, told me that she is not allowed to tell me. I was under the impression I booked a suite but instead got a king room. She never answered my question and just kept asking me the same question over and over again, if I wanted 2 beds. Although I explained to her numerous times, I thought I booked a suite, why are you offering me 2 beds? How is that a resolution? Then she told me the only way I could get a suite was if I paid an additional cost. She never explained the discrepancy, nor did she care to. She was very dismissive, cold and rude.

The woman that was at the desk was horrible. There were 2, one was nice and other one wasnt. Got the room she told us one price but, it was different then what my credit card purchases said. Overall the room was nice. Loved the restaurant and the waitress that worked there.

Great staff, awesome food and bartenders besides one night there was a guy who seemed to have an issue with me and my family. He was very rude and short until we said something and after that he became kind and hospitable. Overall a good stay at the hotel unfortunately it’s always one bad apple that ruins the bunch but I won’t let that stop me from enjoying the great people we did meet.

We just stayed overnight before getting on a cruise. The service was awesome and friendly and rooms very clean. Would definitely stay here again

I tried to be discrete and work with the hotel directly but clearly it’s gone on deaf ears. We stayed there one night before a cruise and then on the cruise we were infested with bed bugs. When we were on the cruise i called the hotel and warned them they said would look into it. No response. So the next week i followed up they said they need to do an investigation. So i waited. Still no response. So filed back with hotwire. Who called them they denied everything but gave me no reason or explanation. I tried to be nice well that time is over. Be careful of staying here. Thoroughly check the beds!

This is an old hotel that needs updating. The rooms are clean, but dated. My sink was clogged. Slow drain. I swiped my credit card to check in. System said declined. I swiped it again, declined again. I swiped a different card, system said declined. Desk attendant then manually input my credit card and it charge went through. Clearly a problem with their system. I immediately went to my room, checked my credit card and called the credit card company and the original charge to my card actually did charge my account. So essentially I was charged on two different cards. I called hotel accounting and they insisted they did not charge my original charge card. In the meantime, I have to wait 7 days to file a dispute. This whole experience was stressful and held up funds on my credit card. I attended an event. None of the event staff spoke English. They were rude and unoccommodating. The hallway into the event ballroom smelled like sewer. The breakfast restaurant staff were very nice and provided good service.

Not only is this hotel located in a convenient place, but it offers some of the best free cookies ever. While I feel that in past years, staff has been better, my most recent experience was not bad and is still worthy of five stars. My only real complaint is that I requested my room to be serviced on my second day and requested for it to happen after 12:00 noon. Someone stopped by three times prior to 12:00 to service the room. I admire that dedication but I simply wasn't ready. The bar service was wonderful, with an awesome bartender that was worthy of a 30% tip. The restaurant food was good, especially the gumbo. All in all, a highly recommended place whether you are here on business or for personal reasons. PS, this hotel will always have a special place in my heart because it is the place where I asked my wife to marry me in 2017 and she said yes.

I had the opportunity to stay here two different times in the last week and both were great experiences. Stephanie and Joy at the front desk were a pleasure to work with, the rooms and transportation were both commendable. Both times, I ate in the Sundance Lounge. I grew up on Italian food in NYC, but the Penne Dell’ Amicizia was amazing—one of the very best pasta dishes I’ve ever tasted in my life. I big thank you and much appreciation to Lane, who served me on both occasions.

I can’t sing the praises of this hotel enough! When you think airport hotels, this Doubletree stands out above the crowd. Fantastic in house restaurant, one of the best tasting I’ve experienced at a hotel. All the staff from checking in to house keeping to the breakfast servers to the waiters and waitresses were EXCEPTIONAL. The breakfast area is a courtyard area with glass atrium ceiling and a water feature, quite the ambiance considering I’m staying within eyesight of the airport I’m flying out of tomorrow. Speaking of airport, I never once heard any noise of any sort that could’ve disturbed me in my sleep. Finally, I want to give a shoutout to Joy at the front desk and Jacquelyn from breakfast who in their execution of their roles, with smiles and professional friendly attitudes, reminded me why I have gone all in on Hilton properties!

I thought it was good, nothing spectacular. I stayed the night because of a layover flight and it’s fairly close to the airport, the bed is confortable, but the service I think could be better, food is fine. Overall I think it’s a good stay if you’re just staying the night, better than staying in the airport.

Southwest made a choice during my change of flights to give my ticket to another person. Knowing I was landed and running over to get on. I know many experience flight delays and more. But it’s all in how you are treated that you remember. Ended up staying the night, supper convenient this double tree. Clean and beautiful. And not just the way it looks the people so kind. Getting in at 11 pm Krystal Bagley was efficient, communicating clearly, and made the late night at least hospitable to where I was relaxed and ready for the next day adventure. Thank you all for hiring friendly individuals. Love to travel and always grateful when there is a change in plans, those working are empathetic. Also thanks for the water it’s a nice touch after a flight needed.

Armando Gomez the bartender was EXCELLENT. Good mood while serving us. He was positive and carried the one man team pressure like a professional. I appreciate his costumer service; We came the night prior and the other server/bartender seemed stressed and mad at us for showing up. Definitely a better impression

My wife and I visited this hotel last weekend for a funeral. Being that it was a Hilton establishment, we had high expectations. We were totally disappointed. We did notice the sign stating we must request room service. 2 requests were made and no one assisted us. We were given a free breakfast..with plastic cups while other guests had glass. So insulting!! Also, we were given an extended time to check out...1 hour. Still, no room service . I called their corporate office and nothing has been done as of yet. Traveled to what I thought was the best to end up doing house cleaning for the weekend. Hilton, you let me down.

Very clean comfortable rooms and hotel. If you are planning a leisurely evening with drinks and appetizers at the bar, social distancing can change that plan. You might not be one of the lucky few to get in. No shuttle to close-by rental car agencies if you are needing a car.

I stayed here one nite before a cruise. The lady who checked me in was helpful and professional. I had an excellent reuben sandwich in the bar/restaurant. Breakfast next morning was good and the lady who served me was friendly and upbeat. The shuttle driver was eager to help me with an errand. This is a good place to stay.

Rooms were nice and staff was friendly. We got into Galveston late due to a delayed flight and when we got into the hotel we had 35 minutes to order food before the kitchen closed. The four of us ordered and got the food in 20 minutes. They forgot an entree and told us that the kitchen was closed and could not get us anymore food. They then said they would refund the cost difference and after 20 minutes they couldn't do that. They told me they would deduct it from our room stay. The lady at the counter felt bad for the situation and have us free breakfast coupons, but I went to bed that night without food. The room was nice, but we were next door to a suite that was celebrating a wedding and were in and out most of the night, door slammed every time. Breakfast was not bad. They had eggs, bacon, sausage, potatoes, waffles and much much more. Thankfully it was comped because it was pricey.

Fresh chocolate chip cookies were the highlight here. Parking lot was interesting, only one way in and one way out. This hotel is right by the airport so you can hear the planes coming and going, but it's also pretty cool to see them take off. Airport theme through out. Jack in the box within waking distance. Rooms and common areas could use a refresh.

This has not been the best experience. The hotel could use some updating. I came early for check in and was told there weren't any rooms available yet. Fine. Sat in the lobby about an hour, then started seeing other people get their rooms. I noticed she asked my name, checked reservation then said they didn't have anything. I do believe if you booked thru a third party she wasn't letting you in early. When I went back to ask her about it, they had a room available. Then she put me at the very back of the hotel that almost seemed like it was in another parking lot. I was livid. Called her back and she immediately had another room available in the tower. Now the cabana did look just look the other rooms in the tower but it was a lonnng walk to the rest of the hotel

Rooms were decent and clean. I wished the rooms got as cold as the halls though. We came mostly to use the pool and chill for the weekend. The pool was smaller than it looked on the website and they have no lawn chairs to sunbathe so we layer towels on the floor. The bar and restaurant were good. The receptionist up front was a bit rude and that bothered me. I got a room. Went upstairs...called and asked if I could get a pool view room and let them know I did not touch anything in the room. The person I spoke to was kind ..got me the room and even threw in a balcony. She set me up told me to go downstairs and inform the receptionist up front. I thought she Was the girl downstairs. When I go down. The lady didn't even want to look at me. Didn't want to smile. Exchanged the keys in a way that made me feel as I did something wrong. Seriously to the point where I felt like I had to apologize for the inconvenience. "I'm sorry guys...but If I pay for a room and i get the option to get a cozier room with a balcony.. why not"?

Food is good. But it's hot in the room. I couldn't communicate with maintenance we didn't understand one another. Oh the shuttle driver was nice. They wouldn't bring me water at breakfast. I asked them more than I ask my kids to clean their room. Bring your own air and water. Oh they brought me a Walmart fan you sit on the floor to keep mosquitos away so now I can barely hear the TV because it's loud. So it's either watch TV or be hot. The cookies are good though

The shower has a vertical bar sticking out of the wall about 5 in. exactly where you stand to shower. Kept hitting the thing while trying to get clean. All the pillows are down, and I'm allergic, which is fine, but the front desk personnel do not know what a down pillow is. It took me going downstairs and a half hour to get a normal cheap pillow to get some sleep. The room phone is non-working.

Are you kidding me? This is absolutely disgusting what kind of a hotel keeps MOLD in a bathroom in plain sight? Also, I don't think drop ceiling tiles are a great bathroom surface. Please find some sort of solution for this petri dish of a room. Might i recommend Lysol?

Stayed in room 924. AC didn't cool the room, had a mildew odor, and was painted a depressing brown. Couldn't sleep well at all. Very disappointing. Room service and food was good. Great location to Hobby Airport.

I was here for a meeting and all went well. Their catering dept could do a better job estimating as food was gone before all ate. At first glance all looks nice but you can tell it is getting dated and needs a refresh. However, those who were able to get some food said it was delicious. Staff very courteous and attentive.
