I visit this spot every time I'm in the Houston-area. Great, boat-shaped restaurant with excellent food choice. The restaurant doesn't really have waiters, you just place orders with the kitchen staff and somehow they keep up with your order despite how busy and crazy it gets in there. All seating is also stools and bar-type seating and not your usual tables or booths and during busy times you have to just wait for open seats to pop up. The food is great and the oysters are only $10 for a dozen which is unbelievable to me as I'm used to paying double that or more where I live. The fried oysters, shrimp, fish, and frog legs are all excellent. All the necessities are provided as well. They have a nice selection of beers too. The regular soft drinks are served in cans and no refillable. Overall, excellent spot and as long as it's open and in town I'll pay it a visit.

This is THE place for seafood! Everything tasted so fresh and I was so shocked by how much I liked everything. The oysters were top notch, I even had a dozen for myself! The shrimp tasted really fresh and I enjoyed the juicy goodness. The salt and pepper catfish was very crunchy and I especially enjoyed the sauce that came along with it. I got gumbo at the end and I thought it was very tasty, but I just wish it was more hot though.

Honestly, I thought I was being pranked when I tried this food for the first time. Either that or they ran out of seasoning before preparing my food. This is hands-down the most disappointing food I have ever tried here in Houston. I ordered a seafood platter and not one item on the plate was seasoned not even a pinch of salt. I personally only season my food with salt and pepper to taste when at home… I don’t care for salty or overly flavorful food but I can honestly tell you.. this food was hard to just swallow because of the unsettling flavor of just batter and nothing else. When I got home I even tried using sauces and that couldn’t even hide the bland bitter nonexistent taste of this food. I was almost tempted to call the restaurant back and find out what happened, but it took so long for them to even answer the phone for me to place the order to begin with that I figured why bother! Would not recommend coming here unless you want a plate full of trash for $20.

Best Gumbo in town hands down! If you don't come early be ready to wait. The spot is small but fills up quick. Micheladas on point!

Great food, great service, and served hot, fresh, and fast! I loved the fried oysters. Not a date spot, loud and close. But good food.

I come here for the oysters and micheladas. Oysters are always clean and fresh, prices are very reasonable compared to other places around town. Just be sure to bring cash because they don't accept cards. Also if it's a weekend be prepared to wait for a seat.

I tried their seafood gumbo...pretty good! It's a quaint little place, nothing fancy. But has a community feel to it. Definitely regular customers. I'll be back for sure!!

Always a must driving back to the city in I-10 from the East. Food is phenomenal. I always enjoy the people. Can get pretty crowded, but it's well worth it. Micheladas are great, oysters are fantastic, crab fingers have been a regular dish for me now. Hits the spot every time.

Love this place! People from all walks of life talking, interacting, no one speaking the same language! It's just something you can't quite put your finger on. You walk into the place and want to be there. From the crazy crooked bar and walking up to the bow of the boat and then back down, watch your step! It's cramped, it's cozy, it's the place you want to be if you love people. The food is exemplary, and the oysters are excellent. The gentlemen behind the bar amaze me in their ability to shuck oysters so quickly. The cool thing is you get your oysters perfectly shucked and not all ripped to pieces like some places. The fried shrimp are huge and everything is done up in real simple corn flour. The micheladas are the best! The mixture of fresh lime, salt and their secret sauce will keep you coming back for more. Going in there and having one of those bad boys on a hot summer afternoon is what life's all about! This is truly a Houston landmark.

Really fresh food and oysters! The gumbo was by far my favorite part of the entire meal, so flavoful, had to order a portion to go for my husband 😊

Great food and super fast service. Restrooms needed some attention or I will say a 5. Food is hot and fast. The service is 10 for sure. Food is a 9.9999. I wanted more tartar. That’s some amazing tartar sauce. Great place

Oysters and stuff crab was ok, Ive had better. All orders of fries was over cooked and we had 3 orders. My glass for my wine was dirty and disgusting..The vibe was not it, everybody staring, no music, and no tvs.

The food was incredibly amazing! The service was stellar! The atmosphere was fun and friendly as our waiter was another guy sitting at the bar behind us.😂 Just part of the experience here. Absolutely fantastic gumbo and raw oysters!!!😋😋

Great spot for beer and seafood! The oysters are super fresh and good for an appetizer. The michelada mix is great if you like them spicy. Can't go wrong with any of the fried food options. Service is good.

This was absolutely one of the " Best Seafood Restaurants I have ever dined at" The restaurant was kept so clean. The Staff was knowledgeable about the food items, selections and Specials". The restaurant smelt wonderful even from the Parking Lot. The Owner must be very proud of all he has done to the Restaurant. I completely enjoyed my meal of a Seafood Special. Thank You for having such good food.

Love Captain Tom us general, we go here very often, at least once a month, sometime couple times a month, we have to get this 3 dish every single time: michelada, gumbo, oysters and other dish depending on our hunger, the price is good and that’s what we like, a dozen of oysters is only $9.95, used to be cheaper, we usually eat 3-6 dozens, now it’s $15.95, that’s $6 increase, way too much, I understand there’s a price markup everywhere, but most places increase $1-3 dollars, not by 60%, I think it’s too much for this place, Pier 6 have a much better view and a higher scale restaurant and theirs is only $14.99 and we just went last week, we’ll have to switch to Pier 6 from now on.

The catfish fillet was okay can be better. Waiters should be more attentive to their clients. Overall it was okay.

For $60 and some thin af fish that come in a Texas mini for 4 ain’t worth it. You eat more batter than fish. I10 area sucks don’t eat here. Need better seafood. Everything sucks here. Disappointed ☹️

Food is good like always but "customer services " sucks. The "cashiers" want to get tips and start taking orders from bar but take so long with people paying , phone and taking some customers. And He will charge more if you don't pay attention or he notice you drunk. I was sitting besides the cashier in the bar.

Can't beat the prices and the food is fantastic. But you're gonna have to wait because it's always busy
