Missed breakfast this morning so we went for a big lunch at Gringo’s. First time at this location, and we were one of the first as they open at 11 am. Upon being seated we met Adam who from the start was very up beat and ready take our requests. Gotta say out of all the restaurants I’ve been to he is among the best, as far as service. Fast, friendly, and efficient. Next time we come I will be looking to sit at his table.

I love gringos and i usually get the same plate when i visit but this time i tried the El Capitan sizzler and i was a bit disappointed it wasn’t a lot of food for two. But it was very tasty and good.

WHERE TO BEGIN!? Today is Dominican Independence Day and though this is a restaurant with the most delicious Mexican Food, they were playing some of my favorite Dominican songs from my hay day! Matthew made this an INCREDIBLE FIRST EXPERIENCE! I’ve never been here before, but if everyone is like Matthew, I’ll be coming twice a month after church with my wife. My princess and I were EXTREMELY impressed with Matthew’s service, from the moment he introduced himself to the time the food came out, all the way up until we were ready to leave. Matthew was so much fun and we weren’t the only table he was waiting but I felt like we were the only people there because of his detailed care to our orders and our needs. I almost didn’t want to leave and wanted to befriend Matthew on social media, this guy has incredible social skills and he’s so humble because he’s only been working there since October! He told us IN DETAIL what would come with our meal and gave the best suggestions! Truly impressed me, my friend. Love you and your staff. Stay on your A game, Gringo’s! My church and I will be back for PLENTY MORE! Best quality food in Houston.

Very convenient location cause its off of the 45 gulf freeway feeder. I think the restaurant needs to improve the parking situation at this location. One thing I truly love is when my waitress or waiter has a great suggestion for me and my family. I get excited when they can give me detailed information about my entree so I know exactly what I will be getting on my plate, as well as the prices. The food was amazing, and everyone I encountered was very friendly and helpful. I enjoyed my experience at this location. My family and I will be back. Hopefully, they will improve on the parking soon, but overall, a great restaurant. 👍👍

Went in first thing in the morning and it was on point. Sat straight away, fast service and food was delicious. They happen to have a special pulled pork quesadilla on the side of the menu we tried. This item is a must try for anyone who ventures their way. (Picture provided) We were in and out without any issues. Our server was polite and attentive. Food is what we already love and enjoy. I tend to stick with the enchiladas here. Three amigos or the Cajun/Shrimp enchiladas. The only down side is that it can get kind of loud inside. Food is what we expect, but nothing amazing. (Other than the special quesadillas) ;)

One of my favorites place to eat out. We always order too much food at this place. Everything on the menu is great. Meal was hot when served and with little wait. Server was polite and was always checking in. Even sitting at the bar is great if you want to watch a game.

Except for my meal coming out faster than my appetizer... everything tasted good! Would recommend with advice not to order appetizers and meal at the same time !

I’m fan of Gringos and Jimmy Changas I usually try it every time that I come to Texas but this Gringos specially is very good the food is great. The only problem is that they got the AC so freezing cool, that you cannot enjoy your food properly. I ask to the waitress and even they told me that it was cool, and people were shivering. I came to the restaurant when it was raining and get wet and dry in the cool is not a good experience.

The food was incredible and our waitress was awesome! We stopped by since we were visiting from out of town and I can’t get over how good this place was! The service, the food, the drinks, everything was *chef’s kiss*! Definitely want to come back here if we stop by Houston again in the future!

The cuisine was incredibly tasty, and the atmosphere exuded a sense of deep relaxation. The chips and salsa provided a delightful taste experience, with a well-proportioned blend of flavors and a touch of spiciness. The staff exhibited remarkable friendliness; even amidst their bustling activity, they upheld their professionalism and demonstrated a strong desire to satisfy patrons. I'm certainly looking forward to returning soon!

Descent place, but nothing special. A friend said this was their favorite Mexican restaurant in town. I disagree. 👍We arrived just a few minutes before the end of happy hour. They came by quickly and got us a pair of margaritas at the Happy Hour price. 👎 We paid for their tequila in our margaritas. They tasted okay, but they weren’t very strong at all. 👍 I’d say the chips and salsa were the high points of the meal. The chips of cells are very tasty, and that’s the usual type of restaurant tortilla chip. The Amazon sauce was the star of the show, though! It’s a creamy green sauce that goes well with everything! 👎 I saw Chalupa’s on the menu, and asked if they were like the ones from Taco Bell. Our waiter said yes, but when they came out, they were tostadas! Frankly, I’d rather head Taco Bell’s Chalupa‘s. 👍We also ordered the border sampler appetizer dish as a meal. It has a good variety of tasty bites in it. I would say it’s the second best thing we had there. 👍 other than leaving us a stray on the Chalupa’s (a.k.a. The tostadas), the service is very good, and the atmosphere is good as well. If you’re looking for a reasonable priced Mexican meal, you could do worse than gringos, but I think you do better as well.

Honestly, if your looking for tex mex you got it here. Its not the best honestly. I sat at the bar & i did not like the server / bartender Marisol. I felt rushed, and not well taken care of. It seems like she was in a hurry to get us out of there.

Our waitress was simply great, very knowledgeable about their menu sad to know she’ll be leaving but she’s going to be appreciated where she’s going, that’s all I can say about that…

Double Birthday celebration. Jude was our waiter and treated us like queens. Everything was terrific. We really enjoyed our dining experience.

Celebrating my daughter's birthday 🎉🥳 eating at her favorite restaurant!! We had about a 20 minutes wait time before we were seated. Waiter was awesome (friendly and on point). She took care of 6 of us. All our orders were correct (drinks/food). She made sure we received refills on our drinks, asked if we were good throughout our meal and got us to go boxes as we prepared to leave. Yummy food and great atmosphere!!

I have been to this location once before, and it has never been my favorite location. Today we went with our Team at school for lunch, and it wasn't quite busy for the lunch rush when we were seated. A few more people came in, but we were quick to make our decision about food and ordered promptly. We waited for awhile, seeing multiple tables around us getting their food and we were still waiting. All were seated far after us. When we did get our food, half of it was cold or lukewarm. My fajitas for one were not steaming as normal, and I was only given 2 tortillas, which every other location always gives me at least 3. Our waiter was kind, but super slow about everything. He mentioned something about being new, and it really showed. I understand being new, but having at least SOME sense of urgency would have been nice, especially knowing we had to be back at school. I did like the overall taste of the food, because it's gringos. I think this location could be a little better and I hope that it improves over time.

Gringos was a nice place to dine. Environment was adequate and food was not disappointing. Staff was friendly and helpful. If your looking for tex mex and afraid food isn't good. Go here.

They were very accommodating for our group of about 14. Our drinks came out pretty quickly. All the staff were pleasant. Could be a little less stingy with napkins. I ordered the Border sampler. Everything on the plate was great. Definitely enough for 2 to share. I also ordered a Cadillac Margarita with added strawberry also delicious.

Food was really good! The cilantro rice and the avocado salsa they have was my favorite. Portion was good and they got the food out fast. The waitress we had was a sweetheart.

Oh my if I could give 100 stars I will. The atmosphere was amazing the food was freshly made and hot. There was no wait. I was highly surprised. My waiter Gilbert was Outstanding. It was my first time there and his greeting was perfect not only did he introduce himself he also told me about some of the platters they have on the menu. I normally get my usual but because of Gilbert I changed up and tried something new and omg Excellent. The service was so great even the Manager on duty stopped by and greeted me, also to see if there was anything I needed. I will definitely come back to this location and request for Gilbert! Great job!

Wait sucks. Food takes a long time to come out. Came to eat with my step mom around 5pm checked in. I’m still here..waiting on food now. At 6:45 Chips keep you occupied. Xavier and Bree’s service made up for it. Bree was really nice when we checked in. Offered us a booster seat and sling for my baby and toddler.

I ordered 2 seafood enchiladas meals (3 enchiladas each), not only was my order wrong (gave me 2 each). They wrapped a tortilla around a block of cheese, and instead of putting the seafood inside of the tortilla and on top, they only put it on top! I had it at the Pearland location the night before and it was perfectly made.

  • 5/5 Casiey L. 2 years ago on Google
Had Xavier as my server tonight. Excellent customer service. Made sure my drinks were filled at all times and checked on the sauces and chips to make sure we were set. He suggested the pollo marisco to me and it was stupendously delicious. I noticed he was in the weeds but he still took the time out to take care of me and my families needs and that’s appreciated. We could use more servers like him. Thanks gringos for the awesome dinner!

excellent tex mex and drinks! From a foodie world traveled living in Houston this is very good tex mex! No wait on a Friday night if arrive before 7pm, big and clean inside although may appear sketchy on outside due to surrounding businesses. Clean environment, food came out after drinks just as I like! Food had good ingredients, well seasoned, price was $$. Server was friendly, got our order correct and stopped by often. All around we will be coming back! Good place for family and kids

We go to this Gringos at least once a month but this time was extra special. The food was five stars but the service was nine or ten stars. Drew with the salt and pepper hair was phenomenal, we didn’t have to ask for anything and my partners difficult order came out just like he asked. If you haven’t tried the fried seafood enchiladas your missing out. Will be coming back more often!!
